O B J E C T I V E I: ATTACK
Lilanna clung to her friend, weakened, in pain, and hardly able to remain conscious. The power she had been drunk on before was no longer there, in it's stead, was the badly injured and frankly broken Warden. She could still hear the klaxons of Omni's call within the back of her skull, the lingering will of what had been was a temptation that ever so slightly suggested she rejoin the collective of steel. She resisted of course, for now, but looking at the situation looming before the pair, she didn't know what else to do. She didn't react to Corin's jest, the Warden's metal mask had long since been sheered off during her forced integration, and now she could only hang on her friend as this entity loomed before them.
It moved towards them, slowly, menacingly, speaking of how their fight was meaningless, and that they should reconsider the offer. Lilanna's hand gripped the shoulder of Corin, the Warden's lips trembling, blood seeping through the thick cut that now formed at the bottom of her lip. Scared as she might have been, the thought of anyone else being subjected to the same horror that she had was more than enough fuel to provoke a fight from her. She managed to find a strength that hadn't yet been eroded, but it was weak, and hardly another more durable than bronzium. "Corin, get back to your men." She said softly, attempting to move off the woman's support, wanting to try and step forward, though the cut to her right leg was far too much; she would collapse under her own weight with the first step. Weakened though she might have been, she was enraged, hurt, and beyond all else, desperate.
The taste of blood stained the inside of her mouth, her body shook, either from exertion or something else, she wasn't certain. The arrival of
Sophia Bergen
was possibly the worst thing she could have expected. Hardly able to stand, she know had several people she cared about at risk, and all of whom seemed determined to keep her safe at all costs. It was more than she deserved by far, and was the final bit of drive to do what needed to be done. No one was going to die for her.
"Sophia, please, protect Corin, and get to safety. Both of you."
Shifting off Corin, the Warden gave one last squeeze to the Ultranauts arm, before shifting off, motioning for Sophia to step back. It was a desperate gamble that she was about to pull off, but it was one that needed to be done.
For all the trouble she had caused, she needed to make this right. The arrival of this new stranger did little to make her back down, as she called upon the force with what little strength she had, and cringed at the pain that came with it. For most of her life, she had been sheltered from the worst that the galaxy could offer, being having been the snobby Nar Shaddaa girl with her father who made more than enough off his slave trades to provide for her.
"I don't need to be protected.... Not anymore." She grunted, the force warping inside of her, as Lilanna coughed hard, toppling off of Corin's shoulder, and just managing to catch herself as she hit the ground. The sensation of red hot nails puncturing her lungs nearly rendered her unconscious, the pain striking her already damaged form. This was hurting far more than she expected, but her time with the Sith had taught her once thing, how to direct the power into power. She focused on the obstruction, warping the force around it, and phasing it through her back as the
Aether implant came free.
"I'm sorry. For everything."
Those were the only words she could rasp out, as without her lung implant in her body, she found herself unable to breath; bit of miscalculation on her part, but it was too late.
She could feel the entity within her scream out as it realized what she was doing. 'No, you idiot, stop!' She ignored it however, driving on inspite of the pain.
The pain warped into a tight ball, seizing the implant as it lingered above the Warden, as Lil held to consciousness, her will being the only thing keeping her awake at this point, teeth clenched in desperation. She commanded the device forward, her pain, ever ounce of energy she could must behind this single attack, as she would phase the implant through the drone in question. She released it, the device becoming solid for a split second as it lodged into the droids chassis. There was a moment of clarity for the Warden, as she slipped into unconsciousness, the final act she could carry forth was a final command to the device; overload.
The device now lodged in the droid would trigger, pulsing out a large amount of electricity as it attempted to jump start a heart that was no where to be found, before erupting in a small explosion as it burnt out it's energy cells. Lilanna could only hope her little act might protect her friends, though it mattered little now, as she would very swiftly begin to decline. Her life force was depleted, with along with the injuries she had sustained, the Warden laid motionless, no longer breathing, the force fading from her swiftly. Though her smile would remain fixated firmly on her bloodied and scared face.
