  • Droid Areas
    • Engineering/Repair Droids stored all over the ship to act as damage control.
      • Repair Workshops
      • Droid storage
  • Internal Defenses and Security
    • The Ship’s Marines maintain the primary responsibility for the ship’s security.
      • A wide spead Sensor network allows the marines assisted by the ship’s AI to keep track of the comings and goings aboard the ship.
      • Retractable Blaster Turrets covering sensitive areas of the ship (Bridge, Engineering, Armouries, CIC, hangars)
      • Turdaium Blast Doors
        • Designed to seal off a section of a ship from intruders, fire or exposure to the vacuum of space.
      • Brig
      • Marine Country
        • The section of the ship nearest the hangars is dedicated to the Marines, allowing them to deploy off ship, or to support the ship against boarding as needed
        • Gun Range
        • Workshops for Weapons and Armour
        • Primary Amoury
          • Containing the bulk of weapons and armour aboard the ship
        • Secondary Armouries
        • Cap Drains
  • Engineering
  • Command and Control
    • Bridge:
      • The bridge is located in the centre of the ship, well protected from enemy attacks.
      • The captain has an office located just off the bridge where they can attend to paperwork or meetings.
    • CIC/Auxiliary Bridge:
      • The CIC is set towards the front of the ship and functions as a data analysis centre that can also be utilised as an emergency command centre if required.
      • There is an office located just off the CIC for the use of the ship’s executive officer
  • Medbay
    • Located equidistant between engineering and the hangars the medbay is the territory of the ship's doctor, tasked with healing the crew's injuries and illnesses.
      • Infirmary
        • A general area where most crew are seen to treat minor ailments, bumps and bruises.
      • Operating theatres
        • Dedicated rooms which can be sealed against outside particulates if needed for more serious injuries or operations. Can also double as quarantine rooms.
      • Doctor's Office
        • The room for the chief doctor to perform their paperwork while keeping an eye on the infirmary and their patients.

Strengths.png

  • Automated:
    • Like many vessels produced by Locke and Key Mechanics the Svalinn is heavily automated, relying on the Aesir System and a wide variety of droids to allow the ship to run with a minimal crew.
  • Vanishing Fist:
    • The Temujin-Class Destroyer was created as a fast attack star destroyer, specifically designed to race past enemy defences and fleet concentrations, striking in places that no-one expects before fading away. The Temujin is capable of outrunning anything that it can't defeat making it a very tough nut to crack.
  • Variable Attack:
    • The Temujin has a range of weapons, from its spinal mounted cannon to a number of long and close range weapons that allow it to engage the enemy wherever it is. For a ship designed to strike at bases and convoys this ability to engage targets at all ranges as they close on them will prove vital.
  • Reverse Thrusters:
    • Due to the gravitational technology which powers the Temujin's Huabing engines the ships are designed to drive in reverse or move forward, or indeed from side to side with equal capability.
  • Modular Design:
    • The Temujin-Class Destroyers were built using Locke and Key's new modular design, partitioning the ship into sections. Each module had inner walls of Turadium as well as blast doors that could seal them off in the event of boarding actions or a catastrophic hull breach. This way, the designers believed that the ships could survive damage that would have destroyed weaker ships and keep the crew alive.
  • “We most definitely regret that the Corps just blew up our raggedy-ass fleet” (Halo)
    • As a star destroyer the Temujin-Class Destroyers deploy with a significant marine presence, and the space onboard to house them and allow them to train. The presence of the marines allows the Temujin to adapt and respond to a range of situations, from boarding enemy ships to deploying a presence on the ground. The Marines allow the Temujin to cater to any scenario they may need

Weaknesses.png

  • Small Crew:
    • Due to the heavy automation of the Temujin, the crew complement is surprisingly tiny. Just enough, in fact, to manage the critical system on the ship should the automation be neutralized.
  • A paper shield:
    • Unlike most star destroyers the Temujin is not designed to stand in a wall of battle trading shots with other fleets as they vie for dominance. The Temujin instead trades shielding and defence for speed, relying on it's ability to fly past any defending ships to strike and fade away before heavier combatants can catch up with it.

Description.png

Not all strategies require facing an opponent in a line of battle, the clash of two fleets over a planetary system, instead sometimes a Fabian strategy is called for, harassing an opponent and wearing them down. Sometimes you want to avoid enemy fleets and strike in their weak rear areas, striking and running before they can catch up with you. For such missions, your standard star destroyer just isn't fast enough, too easily overhauled by enemy ships. For a mission like this you want a whole new class of ship.
Built on the frame of the Svalinn-Class Destroyer the Temujin-Class Destroyer is a specialized star destroyer designed to support fast attacks and raiding of enemy defences, bases and convoys. By trading shielding for speed the engineers at Locke and Key Mechanics were able to design a ship that could outrun and heavy opponent, and easily handle any opponent that could keep up with it.
While the Temujin may never stand in a fleet battle, it's speed and overwhelming firepower make it a nightmare of admirals the galaxy over.
