- Drive comes with a boost function built in that allows it to push to even greater speeds.
- Speed: The Argo is an ion drive, capable of using a ships power systems to create charged ionised particles that it then expels to provide the ship with forward momentum, the more power a ship can provide, the faster it can go.
- Boost: Power within the drive system can be redirected away from manoeuvring and into the forward thrust providing by the drive, allowing the engine to boost its speed when necessary.
- Boost: While capable of boosting its speed, the drive has to take power away from somewhere else, in this case, the manoeuvring systems of whichever vessel they're installed in, degrading the ship's agility to allow it to move faster.
- Trail: The drive leaves an ion trail behind at it moves through space, a trail that's easily trackable for all sensors.
When constructing a ship, any kind of ship, weapons and advanced systems need to be installed, they're what sets each ship apart and makes them special. However, there are some basic systems that tend to go unrecognized, but every ship needs. Foremost amongst these are the engines that actually drive the ship forward through space.
The Argo is a basic Ion Drive, nothing fancy, nothing special, a simple drive that pushes a ship through the darkness of space.
