Malsheem Hypernautics and Manufacturing came about through the consolidation of the various production systems ubiquitous throughout the Malsheem space station. Previously, each section of the Malsheem's expansive manufacturing sector operated separately from one another, completely insular and allowed to proceed at their own pace to achieve their specific production quotas. Centralized control was imposed to improve the efficiency of the system, and to foster greater synergy between the previously disparate production sectors.

A board of technocratic directors was assembled to manage the newly created Malsheem Hypernautics and Manufacturing, operating in a manner similar to a business corporation but entirely subservient to the control and agenda of the Kainate. Each director was pulled from the leading teams of the constituent divisions that made up the new conjoined entity, with the authority of this managing board further centralized under an Executive Director. The Executive Director was directly appointed by the Kainate's Grand Council, and was ultimately subservient to the Kainate's governing body.

With all manufacturing sectors of the Malsheem now united and synergized, production quotas were greatly expanded to fulfill more ambitious goals. Collaboration and overlap between divisions became more and more frequent as new designs were invented and tested by the Advanced Research Division, which in itself was an extension of Shadow Mind; the enigmatic technological research and development think tank from which sprung the greatest and most insidious creations employed by the Kainate.

Malsheem Hypernautics and Manufacturing was entirely a creation of the Kainate, which is led by Darth Carnifex. Though it is led by a board of directors, the entire organization is entirely under the control of the Kainate Grand Council. The Kainate Grand Council serves the wills of Darth Carnifex and Darth Prazutis. Thus, Malsheem Hypernautics and Manufacturing was a product of the Kainate itself. It's existence is entirely dependent on the Kainate.
