  • Built-In HUD Uplink System
  • Bleeding Edge Cooling System
  • Biometric Lock - Anti-Theft and Anti-Tampering Countermeasures
  • Transformation Mode - Two Handed Weapon to Mounted Turret Mode
  • Particle Beam Weapon Creates Small Explosive Blast on Contact - Anti-Lightsaber Weapon
STRENGTHS
  • Amaranth Focusing Crystal: The Harvester uses a special focusing crystal that allows the weapon to produce immensely powerful projectiles that are ten times as strong as standard energy sources that most weapons use, creating an extremely powerful weapon.
  • Rapid Firing Killing Machine: It's ability to pour out an immense storm of plasma bolts that create small explosions on contact turns it into an extremely deadly weapon.
  • Anti-Lightsaber Weapon: Due to the use of particle beam technology the weapon produces bolts that are unstable and once it hits a kinetic or energy field, they explode on contact. This ensures that it is unable to be deflected by lightsabers.
  • Multipurpose Two Handed and Mounted Turret Modes: Outfitted with two firing modes that allow the Harvester to be carried into battle or turned into a mounted turret allows it to fulfill a variety of battlefield roles.
  • Built-In One Way Deflector Shield Projector: A unique addition of a deflector shield projector that sheathes the wearer in a one way shield providing a degree of protection while unleashing the weapons destructive power and allowing them to fire out, while protecting them from incoming bolts.
WEAKNESSES
  • Very Heavy Requires Strength For Optimal Use: A bulky and very heavy weapon in order to wield it properly the weapons weight must be taken into consideration, requiring strength.
  • Rapidly Expends Ammunition in Two Handed Mode: While it's not connected to a power generator the Harvester rapidly expends ammunition when in use.
  • EMP and Ion Vulnerability: Dependent on both the location and the strength of the device used, the weapon possesses limited resistance to EMP and Ion.
  • Overheating Through Continuous Fire: Despite the cooling system when the Harvester is used during long periods of sustained fire, the weapon is prone to overheating. It requires responsible use of its operator in order to prevent weapon damage.
  • Tripod Mount: It's ability to be mounted on a tripod even with a deflector shield leaves the user exposed to enemy fire.
DESCRIPTION

It is widely recognized that the Blackblade Guard revolutionized mass murder and death, turning it into an art form.

It was a constant drive for perfecting the art that drove the Guard to develop insidious, new methods of dealing death quickly on a massive scale demanded by their Zambrano Lords. The recent development of the Executioner was met with huge success all across the board and emboldened the technicians of the Engineering Corps to press forward with what they learned to design something new. One of the most important factors in the design was it's purpose. The guard are designed to function in all manner of environments and in the deadliest conflicts. This necessitated the weapons design to be durable and multipurpose. What came out of these meetings was a terrifying weapon that would be known as the Harvester. The new weapon was a heavy repeating cannon capable of great industrialized destruction, and the Blackblade Guard successor to anything the Sith Empire employed.
In its design the technicians decided to follow in the footsteps of the Executioner and use the potent Amaranth Crystals in the new design, that they acquired from the Sianium Development and Research Department of Aurora Industries. In the Harvester they took full advantage of the immense strength of each individual Guardsmen to create a weapon on a scale that hasn't been seen before. To the typical soldier it was the size of the infamous E-Web, a weapon fit only to be used while mounted on a tripod due to its destructive potential. But for the Blackblade Guard? Their warriors could wield it as effectively in two hands as they could on a tripod.
The first issue the technicians ran into during the project was an overheating problem during prolonged periods of fire. The very high rate of fire the weapon was capable of producing when combined with the killing power of Amaranth Crystals proved problematic. Therefore the technicians introduced a thermal cooling system to draw the heat safely away from the weapon and it's operator. This new feature proved to be the solution they needed, it wasn't the perfect solution. It was found that during long periods of sustained fire the cooling system wasn't enough to mitigate the rising heat and it would eventually cause weapon damage.
The determination was made that through responsible use by its operator this problem could by managed in the field, and the weapon was pushed through to its final stage. Its effectiveness was evident right from the onset thanks to its ability to pour a staggering ten thousand bolts per minute in two-handed mode, and a further twelve thousand bolts per minute while in its mounted mode. It's ability to swiftly cut down entire crowds under a storm of hard hitting bolts of explosive plasma led to it being coined the Harvester, a weapon that cut down people like a farmer harvested wheat in the fields. It was quickly approved for integration with the Grand Army and quickly became the new weapon of choice for Blackblade Shocktroopers.
