SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The Tedom is an organ usually implanted at the same time as the Ilamuiold in the chest cavity, and its purpose is to magnify the skeletal muscular development, and increase density all throughout the body of the subject. One of the Tedom's main functions is it regulates the Ilamuiold's growth hormone secretion levels, in addition to being the regulator of the other hormonal changes caused by the Blackblades other augments. The Tedom contributes to the transformation process that causes a Blackblade to reach the massive height, muscle density, and superhuman strength many times greater than even the most fit human. In addition the organ serves a third purpose in the system and that is blood regulation. Due to its role in altering the hormonal levels and biochemical composition of the body, the Tedom also modifies the blood to carry oxygen and nutrients supplied by the Preserver more efficiently in order for the entire system to work in a superior manner compared to humans both offshoot and otherwise.
Strengths:
  • Colossus: The organ has a significant impact on the bodies density resulting in a combined, dramatically increased strength. When combined with the Ilamuiold, and the Preserver the subject is roughly four times stronger than a human.
  • Relentless: The regulation function of the organ ensures the hormonal levels of the body are regulation, as well as altering the bodies blood to ensure it carries oxygen as well as nutrients more effectively. The side effect of more oxygen is that the faster the transformation of glycogen into glucose. And because this process is faster, Blackblades have far more more energy and stamina at their disposal.
Weaknesses:
  • Damaged: A biological necessity for the subject its introduced into, should the Tedom ever be damaged if left unchecked it can cause damaging, and hazardous complications within the body.
  • Instability: One of the unforseen complications involving this particular organ in a small percentage of subjects is an unstable reaction that suppresses the bodys regulation of the growth hormones, resulting in an irreversible, often fatal overgrowth of muscle and bone density. Should the organ ever receive damage in battle there is a chance that this could be set off.
DESCRIPTION

Success.

The new augmentations introduced to the Blackblade Guard brought a significant spike in performance, battlefield success, and a reduction in overall casualties in the test units. Immediately following the succcess of the Ilamuiold's final trials, the science team in charge noticed issues with the subjects, and potential future problems. There was a plan to introduce more augmentations in greater volume, which brought its own problem of regulating the bodily changes, and hormonal impacts to make sure each organ remained compatible with the rest of the body, additionally the legion was reporting unforseen complications. Now fresh off their success the newly assembled Biomedical Science Corps of the Guard re-examined the elite legionnaires and went back into the labs to craft a solution. The augmented legionnaires were then pulled from active duty.

What they came back with was affectionally known as "Tedom" or Titan in Epicant.

Titan has a pivotal role in the complex transformation process that the Ilamuiold puts the body through. It ensures the skeletal muscular system has an increased density, which attributes to their increased strength. The organ is critical in regulating the bodies hormonal levels ensuring every augment is easily compatible with the Blackblade's body. This serves a dual purpose alongside the Preserver by ensuring the blood carries oxygen and nutrients more effectively, ensuring the soldiers have a vast store of energy and stamina at their disposal. The success of this implant was so high that in the augmentation process of the Blackblades it was required that it be installed at the exact same time as all of the other augments.

A quick thought, question about this one:

Since it regulates the flow of blood/hormones, etc what effect would it have if the augmented being was, say, poisoned?

See above query. How do you think this would effect the being if they were poisoned, or otherwise compromised? Seeing as it doesn't have any countermeasures against something like that, my thought process is that it would accelerate the spread of toxin through the body and accelerate lethality.
