  • Climate: Temperate
  • Primary Terrain: Forest
  • Atmosphere: Type I,
LOCATION INFORMATION
  • Capital City: Zorros
  • Planetary Features: Due to Wilder beliefs in the sanctity of the wilds, Veradune’s population works hard to ensure that their structures and lives are built alongside nature rather than over it. Cities and homes are built into the surrounding wilderness, with walls and barriers more often being used only to keep out the dangerous fauna of the wilds or foreign invaders.
Veradune’s land surfaces, while most commonly covered in dense forests and jungles also boast a variety of different biomes from deserts to tundras. Each of these climates has led to native population developing micro-cultures within the main Veran identity.
  • Major Locations:
  • Zorros City: The Main Capital of Veradune, Zorros City holds the newly built Vitae Castle where the Current Valde/Valdess lives. A seat of power for the entire planet, Zorros city is the largest and grandest of the planet’s population centers.

  • The Great Forest: Making up a large section of Veradune’s terrestrial surface, the great forest is the seat of power among the tribes and supposedly the birthplace of the Zorrens. Those who rule over Zorros city in the center of the great forest are often seen as the most powerful of the land as they control the greatest resources. Despite its great importance in being the world's capitol, the forest still holds many dangers, including Teradin Trees which are known as a natural defense for anyone who might want to attack the capital city.

  • Silver mountains: Rising up to touch the clouds, the silver mountains are the capital of the mountain region’s inhabitants, and while the area’s culture is much like those within the Forest and other regions, people in this place tend to prioritize strength and the virtues of hard work. Deep within the mountains, is the region’s main keep, a large subterranean castle where light is drawn only from a few large holes which had been dug from the side of the mountain.

  • Grand Conclave: Found within the largest of the Grassland regions of the Planet. While most people within the grasslands live in small humble homes, the grand conclave is a large sprawling structure, a city of domes and halls in which everything is connected. The Grand conclave and similar regions all have a certain focus on working together and participation.

  • Yorlaren Desert: The largest desert on Veradune, the Yorlaren Desert also hosts one of the planet’s great capital cities. The people of Yolaren are known for their wisdom and patience. Boasting some of Veradune’s greatest thinkers, the Yolaren Desert has birthed many of the planet’s greatest diplomats. The people of the desert often live in large but rounded domiciles to withstand the sandstorms that often come through.

  • Wilder Groves: Taking many forms around the planet, the Wilder Groves serve as meeting places for the planet’s various sects. Often places where the force flows a little stronger, the groves are old enough that noone is quite sure whether or not Widlers gathered around the small nexuses of the force, or if the force grew stronger from the repeated gatherings.

  • Crystal Caverns: Occasionally found in the deepest wilds of the Veran Wilderness, the Crystal Caverns are another gathering palace for Wilders. Often held as sacred, these caverns are similar to the Ilum caves of the Jedi. Crystals taken from these caverns are usable in Lightsabers, often creating bi-colored lightsabers like Vulpesen’s black and gold saber.

  • Force Nexus
    Intent
: To provide areas that will allow for self sufficiency for the Veran Wilders
    Nexus Name: N/A
  • Nexus Alignment: Neutral
  • Size: Small
  • Strength: Weak
  • Accessibility: Isolated but scattered across the planet, the groves and caverns of Veradune all serve as minor force nexuses where the Widlers can gather and meditate on their connection with the force.
  • Effects: The Nexuses of Veradune allow for a greater connection to the living and natural force. Those who practice the wilder arts may feel a slight boost in their capabilities, but there have been no drastic enhancements reported from these areas.

POPULATION
  • Native Species: Zorren, Veran Fox, Gairthix, Pythros, Caarmuuth, Elmury, Teradin Tree, Brairlix, Terylax, Arrakit, Yularen, Cythrax Cat, Arlusk, Zipher
  • Immigrated Species: Humans, Ashlan Wolves
  • Population: Moderate
  • Demographics: While welcoming to all races, Veradune’s deadly nature often serves as a deterrent to most other species. As such, the main population is made up from the Native Zorrens with a fair amount of immigrated Humans and a large colony of Ashlan Wolves, relocated by Vulpesen torrevaso.
  • Primary Languages: Galactic Basic and Zorren
  • Culture: A militaristic society, Veradune’s inhabitants are quick to sign up for wars in the outside galaxy. Praising the virtues of Life, Freedom, and Unity, Veradune was a staunch supporter of the old Republic and was quick to send soldiers out to fight off the sith and mandalorians during their respective wars. In modern times, the Veran population of Zorrens are often seen out in the galaxy as mercenaries working for the Vitae Security Forces, etiher hunting slavers and tyrants under orders, or fighting for factions who’s cause they see as just.
  • Eating: Almost all Veran food establishments from Cafes to Taverns feature a banquet style interior with long tables spanning the majority of the establishment’s length. Rather than sitting in their own private groups, Verans all sit at the large tables together. Those who are feeling gregarious or talkative usually sit in the center while more reserved guests sit closer to the ends. Eateries on Veradune, especially in their center most places are often rowdy and sometimes violent with a common saying being that no Veran Tavern is complete without a medical station. While there are a few places to eat with a single partner with separate tables, these places are rare and seen as incredibly intimate.
  • Fighting styles: As with many groups who developed as warriors on their own planet, the Veran people developed a set of fighting styles and martial arts, each one developed in response to some ideology or realization. Each of these main styles were named after the three main gods of the Veran people. These Gods are found in the prefix of the form’s name. The form’s suffix comes in either the form of tryx or syn. These suffixes denote the form’s lethality with tryx(meaning claw) being the non-lethal form while syn(meaning tooth) is the more lethal form.
    • Varotryx and Varosyn: Named after the Fox god Varos, these styles revolve around trickery and attacking an opponent’s weak points. It often requires that a Veran act as if they are Zorren, using their claws and fangs in combat to do the most damage possible without any major use of power. Strikes are made with open palms or claws at weak points such as the neck, eyes, stomach, or joints. This form may also require some skill in acrobatics and flexibility as practitioners are often required to dance around their opponent until they can place their opponent in a wrist lock to disable them.
    • Wulretryx and Wulresyn: Named after the wolf god Wulren, these forms rise from the power of a zorren’s body and rely on powerful strikes, either with a closed fist in the form of wulretryx, or with extended claws in the form of wulresyn. Practitioners are often not afraid to move in close to the opponent and wrestle them to the ground where various locks and throws are used to subdue the foe. Alternatively, and particularly in the syn form, practitioners have been known to bludgeon their enemies with heavy blows.
    • Rerrotryx and Rerrosyn: Named after the coyote god Rerreno, these forms are seen as the least dangerous due to their lack of impact tactics. A form of wrestling, the Rerro forms use grabbling and body control to subdue opponents. In its lethal form, there is little change, though practitioners do add tactics to snap the neck or choke off blood to quickly neutralize enemies.
  • Clothing: A large part of the Veran culture is the belief that everything is a weapon. While the zorren people often rely on their fangs and claws, they realize that not all inhabitants of their planet can utilize such natural weaponry. This has caused an adaptation in Veran item creation in which almost all forms of Jewelry or decoration are in some way capable of being weaponized, whether it be a spiked hairpin or a ring with a hidden blade. These hidden weapons are often incorporated into sub-forms of the main Veran Martial art forms. Clothing in Veran society is often made with practicality in mind, often being loose fitting to enable freedom of movement.
  • Force Traditions: Being that Veradune is a place of wild nature and deadly wildlife, the force users of Veradune often use the title of wilder, their powers stemming from the wild and savage nature of the living force. Most force abilities used on Veradune are based in nature, bending animals and plants to their will. There are also legends of those strong enough in the force, changing their bodies in ways inspired by the animals that they’ve seen. Strong in the ways of altering the environment, and sensing the life around them, Veran wilders are rarely trained in ways of altering the mind, though it is not unheard of.
  • Religion:
    • The three gods: While different regions of Veradune might extend the panthenon to include different gods and goddesses, the bulk of the Veran belief system and virtually all religious groups center around the three main gods, Varos, Wulren, and Rerreno. Each of these three embody some part of the Veran belief system and have their own legends associated with them.
    • Varos: Often the most prominent of the Veran gods, Varos is said to have joined with the spirit of shadows and through their union, the Zorren people were born. As the Zorren people see Varos as their godly father, they paid homage to him by Naming the planet after him. This was however disputed by Wulren who was beaten in a competition by the Fox, thereby solidifying the name of the Zorren home world. Varos is seen as a God of Freedom due to his lack of belief in following conventions. He is also seen as the god of trickery, shadows, and the common man as well as travelers, thieves, and scouts. He is often called ‘The Silent Protector.’
    • Wulren: Often seen as the opposing force to Varos and his main competition for power among the gods, Wulren the Wolf stands for strength, unity, honor. He is a soldier’s god and is often prayed to before large battles or fights. While he does have an animosity towards Varos, he is still said to show respect to the fox, acknowledging that power can be found in the fox’s unconventional ways. This respect is also fostered from the Wolf’s belief in Unity.
    • Rerreno: The mediator between Wulren and Varos, Rerreno is the coyote god of Diplomats. While Varos’ trickery happens behind the scenes, Rereno instead prefers to conduct negotiations face to face. His relation between the other two gods is seen as generally the best as Varos enjoys his reluctance to enter straight combat while Wulren enjoys the idea of meeting one’s foe face to face, even if blows are not exchanged.

GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
  • Government: The Veran Government, now known as the Vitae Alliance, is built from three branches, the Tenei Order, the Armis Militia, and the Howlaw court. Each branch is headed by an Excelsus, under whom works three Magni(Magnus for singular). These Excelsi all fall under the command of the Valde, who is elected from the Population by the Excelsi.
  • Three Branches:
    • Tenevi Order: Once the ruling body of Veradune, the Tenevi Order now acts as a special forces branch of Veradune, its members focused on espionage, personal guard duty, and other duties that don’t fall in the purview of the other branches.
    • Howlaw Court: The diplomatic and lawmaking branch of the Veran government, the Howlaw Court focuses on ensuring fair laws and treatment for the planet and those who are arrested and brought to it.
    • Armis Militia: A main army of Veradune, the Armis Militia works closely with the Vitae Security Forces, often being synonymous with them.
    • Valde: Heading over the three branches, the Valde/Valdess is the leader of Veradune. Their word, while disputable by the branches, is largely seen as law and they hold the power to break any stalemate in decision making. While no exact term of service has been set, Vulpesen Torrevaso has set a precedent of the position being a 50 year office.
  • Affiliation: Vulpesen Torrevaso, Vitae Security Forces
  • Wealth: Medium | Veradune has had time to recover from its deluge of bad luck, but its golden age is long ended, leaving the population in average standing now that they have reclaimed their place in the galaxy.
  • Stability: High | The Zorren people have had enough bloodshed and pain. They’ve been plagued, destroyed, and resurrected. Under Vulpesen’s guidance, they have found meaning and look forward to brighter days. In a planet of hope and joyful new beginnings, the relatively new government is strong with the full support of the people.
  • Freedom & Oppression: Veradune runs on the principles of Life, Freedom, and Unity. The free citizens of Veradune are allowed to come and go as they please with few laws restricting their actions. Oppression on Veradune however can be seen in those on the planet unwillingly. With a population devoted to arresting slavers and ner-do-wells in the galaxy, Veradune has fueled its reconstruction with the labor of those who must pay their debts back to the galaxy. Slavers wear the collars they once put on others and murderers pay for the lives they’ve taken by building homes where lives can begin.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • Military: Veradune’s population is militaristic by nature. All able bodied adults are expected at some point to serve in the military. While not an official law or punishable in any way, to avoid such duty is a cultural taboo unless one joins the Tenevi Order(Where they might join military operations anyways), or the Howlaw Court. To attack Veradune’s people is to attack the entire planet. A ground invasion, should the enemy get that far, will lead to the population bringing the full force of the Veran wilderness to bear on their enemies.
  • Technology: Veradune’s technology is considered standard in all but weaponry, wherein the Vitae Security Forces arms division has bumped military science to “advance.”
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

150,000 BBY: The Zorren tribes are first assembled and eventually start to claim their territories.

130,000 BBY: The Zorren Tribes unite, forming a planetary identity rather than regional.

20,000 BBY: Zorrens start to branch out into the galaxy, becoming active in protecting others as guardians and mercenaries.

10,000 BBY: The Veran people have their first encounter with the GenoHaradan, beginning a long feud between philosophies of protection versus assassination as a way to change the galaxy.

2,000 BBY: Republic Jedi find Veradune and the planet joins the Republic with both sides sending force users to learn about the different philosophies.

1,500 BBY: The feud with the GenoHaradan grows stronger and leads to the beginning of the silent wars, a time in which the Verans, now acting through an organization known as the Tenevi Order, and the GenoHaradan fight relentlessly for control over areas of the galaxy. Despite the raging conflict, both sides keep the understanding that their conflict can not spill into the larger factions of the galaxy. The resulting innovations from the Tenevi war effort place Veradune into a golden age which lasts well over a thousand years.

1,000 BBY: The Tenevi have pushed the GenoHaradan out of their area of the galaxy, creating the first influence clouds in the conflict

990 BBY: Both sides decide to stop their fighting, deciding on defined borders.

19 BBY-5 ABY: The Jedi purge begins and after finding information on the group Tenevi Order, the Empire attacks the Veradune government, believing its force sect to be too similar to that of the jedi. Unable to withstand the might of the empire, the Tenevi Order sends out multiple missions to destroy any trace of Veradune in the empire’s system, effectively disappearing from the galactic stage without a trace.

5-136 ABY: The Residents of Veradune continue to trust the judgment of the Tenevi Order, continuing to fight from the shadows as they rebuild their planet.

400 ABY: The Tenevi Order, now a defacto body of government for Veradune, attempts to help rebuild the Galaxy as well as it can

425 ABY: Citizens of Veradune attempt to develop a cure to the Gulagh plague but are killed when they try to administer it to the galaxy.

Four hundred years of darkness: The Main population of Veradune, the Zorrens, have turned out to be extremely susceptible to the plague and the Tenevi Government finds itself sending more and more of its people to help whoever it can. However, this leads to a period of weakness in which many of the Tenevi’s domestic enemies rise to power. In one well-timed and well-planned coup the Tenevi leaders are deposed, killed, exiled, or run-off with death warrants.

837 ABY: Vulpesen Torrevaso and Alexandra Lianne Feanor, having followed a vision and what scraps of information there were to find, set off to rediscover Veradune.. After a fight to end the Bandit Coalition, the plane began to rebuild from its revolution.

838 ABY: Still decimated by the plague and the bandit coalition, the Veran Government now headed by Vulpesen Torrevaso seeks to rebuild its numbers. Avenues of revival include cloning and search operations to find any zorrens hidden in the galaxy.

839 ABY-Present: The Zorren Population has grown tremendously after Vulpesen’s efforts in the “Miracle initiative”, returning the race to prominence within the Galaxy. Due to the nature of the population boom, old knowledge is quickly recovered, bringing the Veradune back up to Galactic Standard Technology. While the Tenevi Order was once the leading government on Veradune, Vulpesen created a new governmental system, taking the name and resources of the fallen faction, the Vitae Alliance.

I hope thats everything. Edits made and waiting for your verdict.

Note: I am working on rebuilding the planet(Post revolution kinda needs reparations) and I'm also filling out its lore such as species, fauna, and traditions so I might come back here for some more edits once I get a substantial amount of things done.

Ok, update done. I think that should be everything! Let me know if anything is out of place.
Changes: Updated to new template.
Pictures added.
Location noted in picture form(since the grid no longer exists)
History recieved minor changes. Mostly with the Tenevi Order's role coming later and being a consistent governmental agency rather than a force order
Small force nexuses added
Culture received a minor rework. Its mostly the same, generally just edited to read better.
Culture and planetary properties edited to account for Veradune's modern changes such as the population boom and half-century of stable leadership/rebuilding.
