ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Firepower - Possessing two disruptor cannons, six heavy beam cannons, four light beam cannons, and a single warhead launcher the Electra’s firepower is nearly unmatched, allowing the craft to punch above its weight class.
  • Fast and Agile - The Electra is incredibly fast and extremely agile, making it very strong in a dogfight.
  • Stealth - The Electra has a full suite of stealth systems, allowing it to maintain a virtually invisible sensor profile during most operating conditions, with more limited stealth capabilities during weapon discharges. It also has a cloaking device, allowing the craft to be rendered totally invisible.
  • The Five Senses - The Electra has powerful, advanced sensors that give it the capability to sniff out and potentially target stealthed starships.
  • Slippery - Equipped with a FAE/C-01 Multiphase Tensor Element, the Electra can resist predator interdiction fields and tractor beams to a very convincing degree. For a small interceptor which depends on its speed and agility for survival, the ability to counter technologies capable of slowing it down was considered to be paramount. In addition, The hyperwave inertial momentum sustainer allows the Electra to maintain its momentum through an interdiction field and resist sudden realspace reversion.
WEAKNESSES
  • SLAM - Usage of the Electra’s SLAM comes at the expense of its weapons. In addition, extended use of the system will drain power faster than it can be replenished, forcing the pilot to divert power from other systems, such as shields and countermeasures, in order to maintain it over long periods. The SLAM will also nullify most of the Electra’s stealth capabilities.
  • Mechu-deru - An unspoken weakness of any complicated and advanced technology, the Electra is vulnerable to the dark sorceries of Mechu-deru and other technology-corrupting powers. As such, a skilled practitioner of such arts could feasibly disable the Electra, provided that they have a direct line of sight to the craft.
  • Outnumbered - The Electra is a rare, advanced craft and is never fielded in large quantities.
  • Ordnance - While the Electra isn’t a missile gunship, it does carry ordnance, meaning that there is a small, not-insignificant chance that a penetrating shot could detonate a warhead and cause the craft to explode.
  • One or the Other - When cloaked, the Electra is unable to deploy its shields.
  • Sensitive Passive Sensors - The passive sensor array on the hull of the Electra is an extreme boon to the pilot’s battlespace awareness, especially in conditions where the use of active sensors may reveal the craft’s location. However, They are also very vulnerable, as even glancing blows can destroy or disable the sensors on or even around the affected areas. In essence, as the hull takes more hits, its surface-integrated passive reception array will become increasingly ineffective.
  • Glass Cannon - With a shield rating of only 20 SBD, the Electra has very weak shields, which are unable to hold long under fire.
DESCRIPTION
A visceral, lethal celebration of the success of the Electra-series strandcasts, the TIE/wi “Electra” Interceptor was commissioned for nigh-exclusive use by the elite of the Electra-series standcast pilots. Built on the chassis of an ancient TIE/wi design, the Electra not only represents a new generation of Imperials committed to the establishment of a new, ‘pure’ galactic order dedicated to the dark side of the Force, but also a new generation of Chiss, remade in the image of the Sith. As such, the Electra is just as much a symbol as it is a raw expression of power, a commitment to enact the same cleansing and rebirth on other corrupt races of the galaxy, as what was done to the Chiss.

To this end, the TIE/wi “Electra” Interceptor leaves little on the table when it comes to firepower or advanced technology. While it is a fast, agile craft, this is not the Electra’s true strength. Possessing two disruptor cannons, six heavy beam cannons, four light beam cannons, and a single warhead launcher, the Electra’s firepower is nearly unmatched, making it a threat to almost any opponent. However, the Electra’s firepower and speed comes at the expense of its shielding, which is weaker than standard.

Nevertheless, the Electra is hoped to become an effective, hyper-lethal weapon of the Neo-Imperial war machine, while also serving as a visceral symbol of a once-corrupted people made ‘pure’ in the eyes of the Sith.

Hey!

As always, I really appreciate the level of detail you provide, as well as the innovation you strive for.

Everything for the most part looks good, although I do have a few items that require attention:

  • Low Feedback Mode: The article you have referenced refers to a scanner meant to aid those sensitive to frequencies on other spectrums. That functionality as it is described does not match what you’re intending with the ‘disables all active sensors during stealth operations’ bit. Please submit a piece of tech that does this. You could link this article as the basis of the technology, but I feel it is advanced enough to require a submission on its own.
  • HIMS: Please add the hyperwave inertial momentum sustainer to your strengths. It can be added to the ‘slippery’ strength.

Please let me know when these items have been addressed. Thank you!
