- Devastator - The Furious Abyss is made to bring destruction and devastation to enemy ships, stations and fortifications, be they in space, orbit or on the surface of a world. Its impressive weapons array is capable of dealing with big and small threats alike.
- Hyperspace Weaponized - With its capability of pursuing enemies through hyperspace, through gravity wells and projecting them itself, the Abyss is utilising another plain on the surface of warfare in form of the hyperspace.
- Bringer of War - Not only designed to support and battle in space, the Furious Abyss can carry an impressive amount of ground forces and its capability to land on the surface itself and open massive ramps so it can spill forth its armies.
- Apostle of Wrath - With its meditation sphere, Darth Trakaton can use its resonating powers to amplify his forces through Battle Meditation.
- Forward Destroyer - The rear of the Furious Abyss and its engine section is very vulnerable to attacks of especially smaller craft.
- Behemoth - Not only is the ship slow but also extremely sluggish in its maneuverability.
- Stormfront - When the Tempestarii is active, the ships sensor & scanner systems are greatly limited.
- You can, or you can not - The meditation sphere is solely working for Darth Trakaton and only because he has the aptitude for Battle Meditation. It cannot be further increased or improved through any other Force users.
- The Light Side - Any strong presence of the Light side or pro-active usage of powerful Light side abilities which oppose the Dark directly, are affecting both the possibility for the ship to use its Netherdrive as well as the Meditation Sphere.
The Furious Abyss was constructed by Jaeger Solutions under the scrutiny of Darth Trakaton himself and according to his needs. A battlecruiser by any standards of measurement and a battleship by purpose, the flagship of the Sith Lord is a truly menacing beauty.
Equipped with outstanding offensive weaponry, capable of fighting anything that opposes it, it is a true menace. Rows of turbolaser batteries, hypervelocity guns, disruptors, mass drivers and warhead launchers, it holds nothing back in terms of armament and can tear through the heaviest of defenses. Which is its purpose - it is a battleship, a dreadnought to annihilate fleet elements, space stations and ground installations. Its orbital autocannons perfectly suited for taking out bunkers, trenches or simply mountains.
Emphasis for defensive measures was put more into passive than active systems, thick armour plating with an incredibly strong frame and turtleback armour around the vital interior parts is the primary defense while shields and other active protection systems are secondary in nature and relying heavily on the durability of the ship itself.
Yet space combat is but one of the ideas behind the vessel. It is the chariot on which the Lord of War rides into battle, the mount which carries his warriors into the thick of combat. An entire army corps worth of troops finds plenty of space in the inside of the ship including artillery and vehicles. Two massive ramps can be lowered to spit out the zealous troops which are held in the bowels of the dreadnought, sending waves of tanks and rows of shock troops right into battle. Its planetary landing capabilities are daring but more than possible and can be a tough surprise for anyone expecting a blockade to hold.
A special addition to the ships interior was the addition of a gene-coded customly built meditation sphere made of Sarrassian Iron for the Dark Lord himself to channel his battle meditation if he so wished.
The Furious Abyss is an absolute deadly opponent but has its fair share of weaknesses, most notably its sluggish speed and even worse maneuverability and the rear section of the ship itself.
