CREW INFORMATION
Crew Name
: Officially called Special Protection Detail 1. Enyo's siblings and minions have given them the significantly less boring name 'The Big Sisters'. Enyo disapproves, because of course she does.
Crew Type: Bodyguard detail.
Base of Operations: No fixed base of operations. They follow the clone they have been assigned to around. Space Dock 7 is the closest thing to a fixed base of operations.
Crew Size: 8.
Loyalties: Archangel Research and Design, Typhos Clone Family, Enyo.
Description: Special Protection Detail 1 is a special task force charged with protecting four of Enyo's clone siblings. Enyo, while aloof, cold and authoritarian, loves her family. Indeed, they are probably among the only organics she values and does not regard as tools. However, they are humans and thus have squishy bodies, rather than an endoskeleton made of Phrik. She cannot bring herself to forcibly augment them like Archangel did with her. They are all Force clones, but they are young and not as powerful as her. Some of them are also fairly sheltered, and thus do not know how cruel and bleak the Galaxy is. Thus they require protection, whether they want it or not.

Thus Special Protection Detail 1 has been founded. Her siblings have given it the nickname the Big Sisters. The name is appropriate, even though not all of its members are female. Then again, gender is not a big deal with machines. With two exceptions, every member of the group is a Myrmidon HRD. Like all Archangel HRDs, they have an organic template. On the outside, they look and act human or whatever the species of their template was. Indeed, they excel at simulating organic emotion and blending into organic society. They can eat, drink, sweat and even cry. Their skin looks and feels realistic.

However, this is deceptive. Their skeleton is made of Phrik and they are ruthless assassin droids who will stop at nothing to ful their mission. In this case, their mission is to protect four of Enyo's siblings from any threat they might encounter. This also involves spying on their daily activities and protecting them from associations that impeccable machine logic has deemed questionable. Needless to say this puts a damper on having a love life. Enyo has no problem with murder, but is very puritan. In short, it is like having a helicopter parent - one who does not age and does not need to sleep. Snark aside, the task force is responsible for guarding four of Enyo's siblings.

These are Thuella, Alexia, Valerian and Thalia. They are the siblings who have remained with Enyo. Amara left following the defeat of Archangel, as she could not reconcile her Light Side morals with Enyo's lack of morals. Moreover, Enyo assigned an HRD called Zhenya to act as her chaperone. Caoimhe and Chiyoko left to pursue their own adventures, but refused to have an HRD around. So Enyo made them travel together because there is safety in numbers.

Strictly speaking Alexia has a
strike team composed of Reaper Class Assassin Droids. These droids are excellent fighters and infiltrators, but they are visibly mechanical and thus cannot show up everywhere. Moreover, they are meant to be a unit for her to lead in combat. She is the most senior of Enyo's clone siblings, so she gets a bodyguard, too. Valerian, the clone of Darth Shadow and Alexia's rival, also has a minder/bodyguard assigned to him. The clone fancies himself as a military commander and has an inflated opinion of himself.

Thuella, clone of Tempest, is the most scholarly and sheltered of the group, who is more at home in a laboratory than on the battlefield. She is also out a lot, as she attends science conferences and the like. This makes protection important. Thalia, clone of Phylis Alince, has decided to become as different from her template as possible. Thus she has become a loud, punck rock girl. She is the youngest of the clone posse, which makes it no surprise that she likes to push boundaries as far as she can. Hence she needs someone to keep her in line and out of trouble.

Moreover, the group has a few spares. Being HRDs, the Big Sisters fulfil their tasks without fuss. Outside of combat they have enough free will to alternate her behaviour depending on their interactions. They largely act as foils to their charges, though like all droids that have gone without memory types for an extended period, they have manifested individual personality traits. These are often holdovers of the personalities of their organic templates. All Archangel HRDs are based on an organic template. This is what makes them such effective infiltrators. While the Big Sisters have their individual specialisations, all are expert combatants who are skilled in the use of most ranged and melee weapons.

Moreover, they have received lightsabre training from Enyo. HRDs have the reflexes to pull it off and possess incredible strength. They favour crossguard lightsabres over regular ones, as they offer superior hand protection. They can use lightsabre forms that do not rely on emotion or the Force. This applies to forms that are similar to normal swordsmanship, namely Shii-Cho, Makashi, Shien and Djem So. They are less effective at blocking and reflecting blaster bolts. The HRDs might detect and calculate the path of an enemy shot but blocking it is not easy. However, that is why they have tough skeletons. They cannot use Juyo since that requires emotion they do not have, while Soresu relies not just on preternatural reflexes HRDs do have, but also on Force-based precognition. Moreover, they are trained in the Fast, Medium, and Strong styles of Like Skywalker's New Jedi Order, as well as in the simultaneous use of lightsabre and pistol.

Their charges are well-aware that the Big Sisters are not only there to protect and serve, but also spy on them. The HRDs will follow the orders of their charges, but not if they conflict with their prime directive. Moreover, Enyo's orders take precedence. Wherever the clones go, Big Sister is watching. Like any good helicopter parent. The Special Protection Detail can requisition whichever piece of Archangel equipment they require for their tasks. They usually wear body armour beneath civilian clothes, though they also have access to full suits of armour.

For obvious reasons, they prefer unobtrusive weapons that can be easily concealed, though they have access to heavy firepower if needed. Disruptors such as the VT-Needle Disruptor and the MSD-32 are quite popular. The same applies to potent sidearms like the Renegade Model 557, the Last Whisper Pistol and the Vornskr Revolver as well as stealthy sniper rifles like the VT-SI-19 Sniper Rifle, or even the Firedrake and the Eradicator when something really powerful is needed.

However, they are not limited to these weapons. They also favour Multi-Weapons, Terminus Shivs and of course lightsabres. Furthermore, they can make use of Stecher Wasp Droids and Morpheus Sedative Drugs. The 'Big Sisters' make their charges undergo regular security drills so that they know what to do in the case of emergencies. The clones submit to these drills with varying degree of enthusiasm. But Big Sister knows what's best for them. Big Sister is always right. Trust in Big Sister. The group has no fixed base of operations, as they accompany their charges. However, Space Dock 7 serves as the hub of Archangel's operations, so they can generally be found there when the family is gathered in one place.

CREW MEMBER 1
Name
: Callisto Scarlett
Age: Appears in her late twenties.
Species: ARD X-5 Ambrosia Droid. Has a human template.
Role: Bodyguard of Thuella. Most senior member of the Big Sisters.
Description: Callisto Scarlett is the 'Big Sister' of Thuella and the most senior member of Special Protection Detail 1. This is not a coincidence, as she was one of the HRDs who helped raise Enyo and her sibling Phaedra Amaryllis. She was repurposed after Enyo seized control over Archangel and given a new droid body. In life, Callisto was a resistance fighter on Contruum. Back then a military junta ruled the planet, backed by a plutocratic elite and total state control over the media. Workers were used as little more than slave labour in the borium mines and shipyards. To keep them in order the junta resorted to employing foreign mercenaries alongside a seemingly all-pervasive state security apparatus that used a network of informers.

Callisto's family came from the underclasses, though her father had risen to become a foremen on one of the shipyards. She lost a brother, Lucullus, to one of the many pandemics that periodically broke out – one day he was taken away and never seen again. While still a child Callisto was drafted for compulsory Labour Service. Her father was later arrested for alleged corruption and Callisto was separated from her family.

Radicalised by witnessing a People's Guard crackdown on protesters, she joined a rebel cell. Now she was part of the revolutionary underground. It was a life drenched in violence, deceit and paranoia. She joined the National Liberation Front of Contruum, a radical, left-wing group. Callisto was one of the rebels who rose up against the fascist regime with the support of Republic agent Moira Skaldi. Back then Moira was still human. However, the promised Republic support never materialised. Their fleet turned away and the uprising was suppressed.

Moira vanished, and Callisto kept on fighting. Years later their paths crossed again when the 'Butcher of Contruum' saved her life. At the time Callisto did not know that it was a mechanicla facsimile. Reluctantly, she accepted tidbits of information Moira offered. For a while she worked with a radical Rebel Alliance cell and then the Fringe Confederation, at the time at war with the Republic. Callisto ended up undergoing a similar transformation to Moira. However, unlike her maker, Callisto is not a facsimile of her organic self. Instead her consciousness has been transferred into an HRD body. She possesses all the strengths of an HRD and droid logic guides her action, but the fact that organic essence is enteched inside her improves her ability to simulate organic mannerism. Moreover, she feels more 'human' in the Force, which means that only Force-Users with a very high skill in mental techniques will be able to discern the difference. But it also makes her more prone to quirks and individualism.

It is likely that the 'Butcher' arranged her capture on Contruum. Either way, she now serves Archangel. She had already been a talented field operative as a human, but now she was an assassin droid. For a while she served as a bodyguard for Aurelia Saelari, head of government of the Galactic Republic. Aside from guarding the corrupt politician, she also took care of her dirty laundry. Following Aurelia's disappearance during the rapture, she worked as an aide for Admiral Friedrich Stahlmann. Archangel reclaimed her after the Republic's fall. Callisto was a caretaker for Enyo and Phaedra and seemed to bond with the clones, as much as an amoral Terminatrix can. However, she developed an attachment to the young clones, so Moira had her put on a tighter leash. She was reprogrammed after Enyo's takeover and now protects Thuella. The Dahomian clone is an intelligent, gifted scientist and machinist, but not a combatant and rather sheltered. Moreover, she is the most clone to attend to social events, science conferences and the like, so having a guard whose design is a good blend of combat and infiltration skills makes sense.

Callisto is a companion, chaperone and guardian. Most of the time she manifests a no-nonsense attitude, though this is tempered by more personable moments. She still remembers her old life, though her ability to act is constrained. Her old self was strongly defined by hatred. A machine is not cruel, but she is capable of being that against those her organic self hated. Indeed, she has retained a bit of a vindictive, vengeful streak. Callisto is no scientist, but knowledgeable enough about tech to be a conversation partnet for Thuella. She also scares away anyone who might try to cheat the young clone. She is very skilled in the use of most ranged and melee weapons, good with improvised weapons and knows a lot about making bombs.

CREW MEMBER 2
Name
: Godric Cawdron.
Age: Appears in his thirties.
Species: Archangel X-3 Myrmidon Droid. Has a human template.
Role: Bodyguard of Valerian.
Description: Strictly speaking, Godric is a 'Big Brother' rather than a 'Big Sister'. Regardless, his human self is from Kuat. He grew up poor, as his family struggled to make ends meet. In his youth, he often got into trouble with the law. He had a rough childhood and was arrested several times for a string of petty crimes. However, Godric managed to get his life on track and pull himself out of the pit. He turned to sports and body-building. He became a professional Huttball player, boxer and wrestler. He had the stage name Silas Stone and manifested a tough-talking, boastful persona. His success in the ring got him the attention of Valerian, clone of Darth Shadow, who enjoyed watching his fights.

Valerian likes to regard himself as an aspiring military commander and sorcerer. He also sees himself as a man of class, intellect and sophisticated tastes. He is certainly pompous enough to mingle with Coruscanti high society, which is ironic considering his sister's opinion on the 'great and good'. Enyo finds him capable, but not half as clever as he thinks he is. His eccentricities and human supremacist beliefs irritate her, but he is still family and you do not process or murder family members, no matter how annoying they are. He likes having buff guys to boss around.

So Godric's career was cut short. The turn his life took is rather ironic because he played a Human Replica Droid in an action holomovie once. His character was the agent of a malevolent artificial super intelligence built by the 'True Empire' as part of Emperor Palpatine's contingency plans to burn down the Galaxy if he was ever defeated. Predictably, the evil supercomputer had developed goals of its own. Godric considered taking a step back from wrestling to focus on his acting career. The role organised crime played in the local wrestling scene played a role in this decision. He wanted to leave the mafia-infested wrestling scene behind him and embark on an acting career. In a sense he got one, albeit not in the way he expected. Now his mechanical facsimile has the job of protecting Valerian and keeping him from doing anything foolish.

Many aspects of the personality of his human self have carried over. However, it probably has more in common with his show persona. He comes across as a serious, randomly humorous, very masculine guy. It helps that even his HRD body looks like that of a professional wrestler. Godric is rather irreverent to Valerian. This was deliberate on Enyo's part because her brother nabbed the wrestler without asking her first, which annoyed her a lot. Valerian has not been allowed to alter his programming to make him more respectful. Regardless, his appearance and obvious strength make him very good at intimidation since he looks like a boxer. While he is programmed to use a variety of weapons, Godric has a preference for melee and close ranged combat. This is fitting since Valerian is a Sith Sorcerer type and thus better off engaging foes at range rather than getting up close and personal.

CREW MEMBER 3
Name
: Petra Baur
Age: Appears to be about eighteen.
Species: Archangel X-3 Myrmidon Droid. Has a human template.
Role: Bodyguard for Thalia Palaiologos
Description: One thing many clones have in common is their desire to be seen as individuals instead of plain duplicates of their templates. Some take this further than others. Thalia is probably trying a bit too hard. Her template Phylis Alince is a slightly absent-minded, extremely scholarly, gentle Jedi Consular. She is very knowledgeable in history, Soresu, the Jedi Core Powers and has pioneered a lightside variant of alchemy called Alkahest. She also once wrote a volume about Levitation in the Pre-Tythonian Period.

By contrast, her clone would generally only pick up a book to use it as a club. Thalia is blunt, cocky, listens to punk rock music, has piercings and is doing her best to be as different from her template as possible. While her mirror would try to resolve disputes diplomatically and considers violence a last resort, Thalia prefers to let her fists do the talking and has an aggressive mentality in combat. She also enjoys illegal speeder races. Phylis is chaste, while Thalia is a flirt. Ironically, this frustrates Enyo, for the cyborg is a puritan. She finds Thalia's rebellious attitude tiring, and has tried to steer it into more productive directions. Such as clobbering things that need clobbering.

Petra has been assigned to Thalia to be a confindante, bodyguard and chaperone. It is not rocket science to figure that she is also there to spy on Thalia and prevent her from doing anything silly. Thalia has tried to dress her up as a punk rocker. Ironically, Petra's human self was a gang member. She grew up in the slums of Coruscant. When faced with the choice whether to be trampled or being the person doing the trampling, she picked the later.

At first she was only a courier for a gang of drug dealers, then she became an enforcer. But she was too ambitious and cunning to be a mere footsoldier to a petty slum lord and get herself killed in one of the perennial gang wars. It helped that she was Force-Sensitive. While she lacked formal training, she knew that she was special. She could see events happen beforey did, anticipate enemy attacks and read the emotional state and hidden feelings of people she interacted with. When she was very angry, blasts of lightning shrieked from her fingertips. She used these powers, as well as her own cunning, to take over a youth gang. Soon she manipulated the gang boss above her into getting himself killed and took over.

She could have probably risen even further, if fate had not intervened. Enyo Typhos had set up shop and wanted to expand her 'businesses'. Her method of expansion was very aggressive. Enyo fought and ultimately absorbed Petra's gang. Petra took her on personally in a fight. She could not match the power of a Master of the Force, but her skills impressed Enyo. She gained enough respect for the young woman to process and reuse her.

Thus Petra was reborn as a human replica droid. She still retains many of her human self's personality traits. She is capable of interacting with and befriending organic beings. However, she has little conception of morality. Petra's physical appearance is designed to be attractive. She is aware of this. While not a flirt, she is not above using her looks to her advantage, either to draw in targets or to derail and distract. She is also willing to use it on Thalia. Petra is quite knowledgeable about the seedy underbelly of the Galaxy and can impersonate a mercenary or criminal quite well. Outwardly she looks less strong and heavy than the other members of the group, but she is a very tough combatant.

Petra is aware of the fact that her organic self was Force-Sensitive and is a bit annoyed about being unable to touch the Force. Sadly, 'Droid Force' is not a thing. The logical step would be to implant a Shard into a body, but then the crystal would be in control. Petra would very much like to control a Shard. Enyo's alliance with a group of Shards makes this is a bit awkward, but there are plenty of Shards who are not part of it. She may try to experiment on one. She has also taken an interest in attempts to mimic Force powers through technological means, such as manipulating gravity to simulate telekinesis. She uses a Grav-Glov for this.

CREW MEMBER 4
Name
: Tacra Vrax
Age: Appears to be in her mid-thirties.
Species: Archangel X-3 Myrmidon Droid. Has a Weequay template.
Role: Bodyguard of Alexia.
Description: Weequay are commonly stereotyped as dumb muscle. Their typical form of employment is as mercenaries or criminal henchmen. The typical hired goon for a Hutt or Black Sun crime lord is a Gamorrean or a Weequay. Tacra Vrax decided to subvert expectations and fight stereotypes. In life, she was an investigative journalist seeking the big scoop. The intrepid reporter worked for Insider News. She got on Archangel's radar during Aurelia Saelari's second term in office as head of government of the Galactic Republic.

Tacra had a headstrong, stubborn streak, though she was not particularly personable. She was a war correspondent during the Republic-Sith War. She faced danger alongside the troops she was embedded with, but was fearless. She did not mince words about the situation on the front lines. The soldiers liked her, but many bigshots did not. Later she investigated corruption in the Saelari administration. In principle, this was not too surprising since Aurelia was a corrupt nepotist. Thus Tacra expected corruption, but not its direction. For none of the money that was being embezzled from the public purse was going into the coffers of Aurelia or her clan. Tacra discovered that an entire special operations programme Republic Intelligence was running was fictitious. It seemed to be siphoning resources and soldiers, who vanished without a trace.

Tacra was faced with public pressure to cease her investigations, especially after she started investigating the strange circumstances of Aurelia's supposed abduction by terrorists, her rescue and subsequent return to the Senate. This cost the journalist her job. Tacra's quest for the truth continued, and she happened upon Archangel, the receiver of the embezzled funds and the group that had secretly orchestrated Aurelia's return to politics.

She managed to interview a possibly crazy ex-member of Aurelia's staff. He was in hiding, and claimed that his former boss had been replaced by a lizard shapeshifter. He was both right and wrong. Sadly, Tacra's obsessive quest for the truth put her in the sights of powerful enemies. Eventually it got her processed, as she continued pursuing the truth behind Archangel's shady dealings. Now she was an HRD, just like Aurelia had been. Insider News' editor-in-chief was surprised when she recanted her old articles and quit her job.

Alexia is not entirely happy about Enyo's choice in guardian. For one, she sees herself as Enyo's second and thus in a different category than the others. Moreover, Alexia is xenophobic. She is not a frothing-at-the-mouth racist, but looks down on aliens she regards as 'unclean' and 'uncivilised'. She can tolerate those who look human enough, 'wash themselves and know how to dress'. Enyo disapproves strongly, so she has given her sister an alien just to annoy her and teach her a lesson. Alexia would have preferred to have Callisto. Not only does the latter have a human template and appearance, she is also the most senior member of the protective detail.

On the outside Tacra looks like simple muscle, which often makes people underestimate her. This works in her favour, as she is very intelligent and has retained her investigative talents. Naturally she no longer has her moral code, as she is now suppposed to cover up conspiracies rather than unmask them. She has retained her inquisitiveness, though it now serves a significantly less noble cause. Particularly towards the end of her career, Tacra increasingly used less than legal means to ferret out the truth. This translates into a talent for slicing, surveilling, breaking and entering. Like all HRDs, she has received extensive combat programming.

CREW MEMBER 5
Name
: Sayla Raal
Age: Appears to be in her thirties.
Species: Archangel X-3 Myrmidon Droid. Has a Zabrak template.
Role: Operative, bodyguard, bruiser.
Description: Sayla is a gruff and rather laconic soldier. She has spent most of her life in uniform. She comes from a military family and joined the Protectorate's armed forces, then Firemane. After acquitting herself well on several campaigns, she was posted on Bespin when billions of beings were raptured across the Galaxy. This was the doing of Akala. Sayla was not among the countless souls who were whisked away into the Netherworld. Instead she was one of those who were left behind and had to pick up the pieces, while the Galaxy seemed to be coming apart at the seams.

Most of Firemane's leadership had been raptured as well, and the Protectorate had been thrown into a state of turmoil. This meant the mining outpost Firemane had maintained was cut off from support. Moreover, Bespin faced a Bando Gora invasion. Years ago, the fanatical Chaos cultists had seized control of Cloud City before being driven out by the Protectorate. With their enemy reeling, they sensed opportunity. The Lords of the Fringe, an old foe of the Protectorate, also sensed opportunity and dispatched troops to drive out the Bando Gora and take control of the planet.

Sayla and her diminished unit found themselves embroiled in this conflict. Sayla put her life on the line to evacuate Firemane members. Gritting her teeth, she temporarily agreed to work with the Fringe as the Bando Gora were a mutual threat and she wanted to secure an orderly pullout. She was able to evacuate most of her people, but was taken captive by the Chaos cultists. Sayla endured vicious physical and mental torture, though she was able to mislead her captors to ensure her people got away. Their viciousness left her with a lattice of scars. She ended up being 'rescued' by Archangel Research and Design, which had arrived in tow with the Fringers in order to take advantage of the crisis by looting a bit. They plundered and destroyed the Firemane outpost, and purged the Bando Gora sect holding Sayla. By then she in very poor shape.

Her rescuers purported to be Firemane members, but she soon grew suspicious, so they decided to make use of her knowledge and experience by processing her. Thus the organic died and she was reborn as a humanoid replica droid. Her mechanical self served her new masters as a soldier. She got to know Enyo while on deployment and was later reprogrammed by her. For a while she served as a bodyguard for Tess Tanner, the HRD Enyo had put in charge of Archangel's business operation. The director was Enyo's mouthpiece. Her model of HRD was very good at infiltration, but not that combat-capable, which made Sayla a good fit for her. The Zabrak Replica Droid foiled a hit a rival syndicate had put out on Tess. Now she has been reassigned to the team. As is typical for HRDs, she has retained several of the personality traits of her original self, though these have been twisted. Sayla is mission-focused and not one for needless small talk. She is very skilled in small unit leadership, applying her military training. Zabrak make good muscle and having the strength, resilience, and tirelessness of an HRD has only amplified this.

CREW MEMBER 6
Name
: Alema Daru.
Age: Appears to be in her late twenties.
Species: Archangel X-3 Myrmidon Droid. Has a Twi'lek template.
Role: Operative.
Description: Alema is a former street urchin from Coruscant, where she grew up in the slums. Republics and Empires warred for control over the planet, but her living conditions did not really change. She was a simple pickpocket and thief until the Netherworld turned her life - and that of trillions of others - upside down. Alema was one of the countless souls who were raptured and found themselves in the cold, bleak Nertherworld. What she witnessed and experienced there drove the girl had a profound effect on the girl. It drove her a bit crazy.

During her time in the Nether, she learned that an entity called Akala was responsible for the cataclysmic event. Akala possessed a power that seemed far beyond that of any Jedi or Sith. Alema experienced something of a religious awakening and ended up joining a cult that worshipped Akala. The sect endured after its goddess was slain in the Maw, and plotted to one day resurrect her.

Alema was trained as an assassin to eliminate the enemies of the sect. Like many cults, it soon branched out into criminal activity to fund its ventures, while at the same time seeking to mobilise the disenfranchised in the name of its mad goddess. The cult's activities eventually brought it into conflict with Enyo and her enterprises. Enyo was an atheist and had little time for mysticism. At first, she tried to infiltrate an HRD into the group, aiming to manipulate the sect.

However, the infiltrator was unmasked by Alema and eliminated. The sect despised 'unclean' machines, for they could not receive Akala's blessing. Thus it came to open conflict. However, Alema got more than she bargained for when she was sent on a mission to cut off the head of the snake. From a certain point of view, she has experienced an 'ascension' of sorts. Indeed, she views machines as superior to organic beings. She has sometimes been employed to manipulate or observe cults, especially machine cults. Indeed, she helped guide a cult towards being 'ascended'. For a while she served as a liaison officer to a Gand sect that reveres OMNI and has been coopted by Enyo.

As with other HRDs, many of the personality traits of her organic self have carried over. Some have been suppressed, others amplified or twisted. Alema tends to be flirtatious, but also morbid with a warped sense of humour. She is designed to be physically attractive and it is unfortunately common to stereotype Twi'leks as licentious. She is an assassin droid and thus willing to take advantage of this. However, she has been known to manifest a vindictive streak towards the 'great and good' of the Galaxy.

CREW MEMBER 7
Name
: Carissa Lassila
Age: Appears to be in her late thirties.
Species: ARD X-6 Metamorph Droid. Has a Human template.
Role: Operative. Spy.
Description: Carissa is one of the members of Special Protection Detail 1 who has not been directly assigned to a clone as a bodyguard, but is still part of a team. If need be she can fill in for one of the other members or back them up. However, her primary function lies in intelligence gathering. Carissa is what in intelligence one might call a 'blank'. She makes no waves and looks nondescript, which means she does not raise any red flags. By appearance, training and demeanour, she excels at hiding in plain sight. In short, she is the exact opposite of the overt operative.

Carissa used to work for the One Sith Empire as a spy. Like many spies, she was rathe flexible with her cause. She liked the power and authority she could wield from the shadows. She was an operative on Coruscant prior to the One Sith's invasion. There she gathered intelligence and ran a network of agents, including some Jedi. Later she became the handler of Team Mirage. At the time it was composed of genetically enhanced black ops operatives. It had been set up by Darth Reinheit, a fanatical Sith Lord and avowed human supremacist.

Carissa survived the downfall of the One Sith and vanished rather than join the Rogue Sith in their quest to make the Galaxy burn. However, she ended up in Archangel's clutches and received an 'upgrade'. As an HRD, she lured Team Mirage to Archangel. Like her, the team ended up serving the machine cult. Their duties did not really change. Enyo's takeover did not change Carissa's job, but its focus shifted. Now she is responsible for uncovering, analysing and eliminating threats to the clone family at Archangel's helm. Carissa is a lot less likely to see combat than the other members of the team, but still has sophisticated combat protocols. Moreover, she is cunning and good at stealth. In keeping with this, she prefers stealthy and easily conceable weapons.

In terms of personality, Carissa is careful, prudent and measured. She is skilled at putting a pleasant facade, steering a conversation and getting someone to open up to her, and vanishing into a crowd. Carissa performs her duties without fuss. Carissa has several cover identities and shifts between them seemlessly. She still works with her former comrades from Team Mirage from time to time. Carissa is a Metamorph Droid rather than a Myrmidon.

This HRD is built using the same methods as the Ambrosia, but her body is made of lighter materials with a non-magnetic construction, which means she will not be detected by most scans. This droid model is less capable in combat that most of its HRD brethren, as its strength is that of a fit organic of its race rather than the metallic strength of a typical HRD. However, it is almost indistinguishable from organics. Thus it is even better at infiltrating.

CREW MEMBER 8
Name
: Naevyra Sylran
Age: Appears to be the Eldorai equivalent of twenties.
Species: Archangel X-3 Myrmidon Droid. Has an Eldorai template.
Role: Operative.
Description: Eldorai are sadly fond of Byzantine intrigue and schism. There is a saying that two Eldorai are a church, three a schism and four a civil war. Sadly, this is not merely said in jest. These Byzantine machinations often have grave personal costs, and are an important reason for why the species is so scattered and divided. When the Eldorai embarked on a second grand exodus to spread across the stars, an extremist faction found the reformist, inclusive policies of the Star Queen disagreeable. To these Eldorai in the upper classes and nobility, the cataclysm on Kaeshana was a warning that the Goddess was angered by the turn to liberal ideas and toleration. They acquired a worldship and enforced a very strict theocratic interpretation of the law from the 'good old days' along with all the racism, misandry and rigidness this implied.

They decided that Raevana would be the perfect place to make the Eldorai great again. To them it was an untouched virgin paradise. A bounteouous filled with exotic life which their superior Eldorai brains would soon overcome. The True Eldorai Matriarchy had ambitious plans for their presence on Raevana. New Santaissa was supposed to be a shining example to all Eldorai, free from the pernicious influence of monkeighs. The grand city never took off. The most unfortunate colonists had to dwell in tents. The lucky got prefabricated buildings.

Then all went to hell. Raevana looked like a paradise, but it was actually a death trap. There was a schism in the faction. The bloodletting grew vicious. It was exacerbated by starvation and the threats of the jungle. As infighting intensified and the jungle closed in, most Eldorai leaders preferred to remain in orbit. After a small civil war one group left with most of the transports in search of greener pastures. The remainder were stuck just as the jungle got really nasty.

Naevyra was one of them. She was the daughter of an ultra-conservative noblewoman. She had grown up in the lap of luxury and been trained in courtly politics. Naturally, she also absorbed the typical prejudices. The Eldorai were the mistress race, human monkeighs were devious, heretics were evil and the cause of all their misfortune. It was her birthright to rule over the commoners. Then her family was purged because it had run afoul of courtly intrigue, and she ended up among those who were stuck on the planet's surface.

What should have been a new beginning turned into a naked struggle for survival. Her servants deserted and indeed she had to defend herself from a guard driven mad by mind-altering plants. Patrols sent into the jungle often did not return. Constant rain and heat made movement difficult, and insects kept attacking. Supply crates left outside would be coated in moss by the morning, fighters parked on the ground would be held fast by creepers. Wild animals and savage Korhilli raided the base for food - often the Eldorai themselves.

Then a starship showed up. Naevyra was one of those who made the desperate step to ask for assistance. Enyo was happy to provide it. The replicant that wears Naevyra's face no longer requires sustenance. She has bones of metal and a body that will never age. Some of her old personality traits have carried over, such as her haughtiness. Likewise, she can be devious. She is good at mingling in high society circles. Being a noble, Naevry was already trained in swordsmanship prior to being processed. Thus she has taken well to lightsabre combat. Her preferred form is Makashi, which fits with the social background of her organic self. The style is ruthless, refined and cunning, and because she is super strong, she can overcome the lack of kinetic power. She still carries the Sarix her organic self possessed.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Special Protection Detail 1 is a very young group. Its roots lie in Enyo's past, as well as that of her siblings. In many ways, the Typhos clones are the children of the genocidal duo of Maelion Liates and Moira Skaldi. The two HRDs used to serve the Galactic Republic and the Omega Protectorate as special agents and wetwork specialists. However, they decided to go independent after the Battle of Gehenna. Along the way, they also adopted a droid supremacist ideology, concluding that the best way to create a tidy Galaxy would be to exterminate or process all organics into machines.

Because they could not do this on their own, they created a company called Archangel Research and Design. One of their key obstacles was the Force; something they could not properly quantify and which yet illogically existed within organics. To fight those organics who used this 'Force', Archangel resolved to create docile, obedient clones. Two of them were Enyo Typhos and Amara Zarides.

Sadly, free will and initiative made organic servitors frustratingly unpredictable, so one day the clones defied their makers. Amara managed to escape, but Enyo was turned into an organic and mechanical hybrid. She proved her obedience by murdering the first Thuella clone, but then rebelled when her makers tried to get her to kill the rebellious Amara. Consumed by vengeance, Enyo mounted an insurrectionary campaign against Archangel. By allying herself with the genocidal Contingency, she was able to strike a serious blow to Archangel. In the process, she and Amara rescued a group of young clones. They were Valerian, Alexia, Chiyoko, Thalia and the second Thuella clone. Enyo became their domineering caretaker.

Eventually, Archangel underwent a regime change. Maelion Liates had been destroyed by Enyo during the Contingency attack, while Moira Skaldi met her end during the final battle. Caoimhe, the second clone of Siobhan, fought against Enyo in the final battle and was able to seriously damage her. But entering her sister's mind and seeing the truth swayed her. This, however, came at a cost, as Archangel activated a failsafe that put her in a coma. Fortunately, the Enyo and Thuella were able to save her life.

With her makers dead, Enyo was in control of Archangel. However, the years of struggle and the sacrifices she had to make to get this far had left her with scars. To put it plainly, Enyo has little in the way of morals and does not value most organic beings. Most of them are threats or pawns to her. The rest she views with indifference. However, her siblings are the exception to this rule. Special Protection Detail 1 was conceived to protect them...but also ward them against associations Enyo regards as inappropriate. The Cyborg considered this to be particularly necessary after Thalia was kidnapped by a rival syndicate. This did not go well for the syndicate in question.

It is rather ironic, but Enyo trusts machines more than humans, despite all her makers put her through. She understands how droids think. In many ways, she is more machine than organic. Furthermore, she has considerable technopathic powers, which allow her to control and manipulate droids. With that in mind, she decided to assign a Myrmidon HRD to each of the four clones who had chosen to remain with her. In addition, four spares were created. These could provide backup or fill in if one of the core four was damaged or destroyed. Likewise, they also performed other duties, such as intelligence gathering. The Myrmidon model had been designed with heavy combat in mind, which was why it possessed a Phrik rather than a Durasteel skeleton. At the same time, it was a highly capable infiltrator. Thus they could easily pass as bodyguards and mercenaries. All seven HRDs were trained by Enyo in lightsabre combat.

Amara already had an HRD guardian called Zhenya. Caoimhe and Chiyoko refused to take a droid along when they left the nest, which was why they had to travel together. Each member of the task force received a direct line to Enyo, whose orders would override those of their charges. Not all of her siblings were happy about getting a guardian, for it was not rocket science to figure out that the 'brood mother' would also use the HRDs to spy on them. Enyo sees no reason to play coy. She is in charge because she is the strongest, the oldest and knows best.
