Description:
When Tegaea Alcori was nearly killed by the Sith Assassin Kaelin Isandros she was unable to continue her work as Lady Protector of the Omega Protectorate. Forced to resign, and with Siobhan soon following the couple withdrew to the planet of Kaeshana and Tegaea recovered there under the protection of the Queen.

Through almost entirely legitimate means, her and Siobhan Kerrigan had managed to acquire a substantial fortune through her time with Omega Pyre and the Protectorate. Due to clauses in her contract and later agreements she had acquired a percentage of all profits made on Dahomey and Vandelhelm, and even owned stakes in the planets personally. This made it easier to set down roots on Kaeshana and look to the future.

The new company was called Firemane Industries and Technology. With backing from the Eldorai Matriarchy, the company set up a research and military technology division in Santaissa. This was to help the Eldorai catch up to the galactic tech level, but also to provide useful technology to sell to others. The goal of this company was to expand operations on Dahomey and Vandelhelm to other planets and becoming a mining and shipping concern in the Protectorate. In all, this company had the potential for significant profits and great expansion. Tegaea Alcori became CEO, Siobhan Vice President. Crown Princess Anya Venari served as executive PA and head of operations until she became Queen herself following her sister's assassination.

After Anya Venari took the throne under the regnal name Tirathana VII, Firemane received the full backing of the Eldorai monarchy. It received a mandate to modernise the Eldorai army, expanded its operations into mining, and beyond, forming a profitable business relationship with Salacia Consolidated and the Abregado-Rae Guild of Hammers. Vice President Siobhan Kerrigan's exceptional combat skills earned her considerable profit and new clients. Over time, the firm expanded beyond the Protectorate and added exploration of worlds cut off from the Galaxy by the Dark Ages to its portfolio.

Firemane's core competencies are military contracting, the manufacturing of military technology, vehicles and starships. Firemane's military services range from providing bodyguards, pilots and other specialists for hire to deploying full-scale combat divisions and naval task forces. Moreover, it has expertise in foreign internal defence and is capable of training the armed forces of governments and other companies. It has ample expertise in asset retrieval, search and rescue, and direct action.

It is also very active in the field of construction. However, it has branched out into other fields, such as mining, medical technology, exploration and humanitarian aid. The latter includes building ginormous mobile space stations to facilitate mass migrations to escape war, natural disasters and similar calamities. Firemane has set up schools to educate the children of employees as well as refugees and freed slaves. It has also made inroads into the entertainment industry, founding or acquiring hotels, spas, clubs, and sports arenas.

TIER V:
The impending doom of Kaeshana forced Firemane to diversify and expand its operations considerably. Now able to produce giant warships for the Silver Sanctum Coalition, move vast populations, conduct trade deals with Mandalorian and Republic alike, the company had come a long way since its humble beginnings.

Tier VI:

Kaeshana has been destroyed, but thanks to Firemane many Eldorai were saved from the cataclysm. The corporation provides private security, performs mining operations and develops military technology for sale on the market. It has a rather distinct martial culture and heterogenous Force traditions amongst its employees. Owing to the military background of its directors and many senior employees, military ranks are ubiquitous in the company.

Firemane can be described as a hybrid of corporation, Dark Jedi paramilitary force and matriarchal dynasty. Its management operates per the principles of 'maternalist, benevolent despotism'. The company is loyal to its employees', takes care of their needs, welfare and provides educational opportunities for their children, but is rather autocratic. It maintains a nondenominated Forcer programme and has attracted a variety of magi from various Force traditions. Many have ample cause to oppose or hate Sith.

Firemane's Force-using arm is called the Order of Fire, which is personally run by Siobhan Kerrigan. Most of its members are Grey Force-users or Dark Jedi, though there are also some light side adepts. Ironically, although Siobhan is a Dark Jedi, the Order actually prefers Neutral Force-Users on the grounds that they are most balanced. Dark Force-Users do, after all, have a tendency to be bad team players, while light siders bring their own set of issues, such as preaching, naivete and religious zealotry. The Order of Fire is not a place for grandiose Sith or Jedi Lords, pacifist flower children or confused Padawans. It seeks professionals and is organised along military lines. As a result, recruitment, vetting and recruitment are militarised. It employs members from a variety of fringe Force traditions.

While its conventional forces are comparatively small, they are well-trained, disciplined, loyal and equipped with a potent arsenal of anti-Forcer weapons, which goes back to the OP background of the corporation's leaders. Moreover, Firemane has recruit native sepoys on worlds such as Tygara and Dahomey to augment its troops. Many of these native recruits are freed slaves, which makes them particularly motivated. On the flip side, though Firemane has strict rules of engagement, it has been accused of having a very militarist culture, as well as acting as a law unto itself. This is very accurate.

For a long time, Firemane Industries had a close relationship with the Silver Sanctum Coalition/Silver Jedi Order. For a while, Lady Kerrigan was a member of the Sanctum Assembly before stepping down. Firemane constructed their war fleet, assisted them in their expansionary ventures and in fortifying their worlds. However, relations cooled down after the the Battle of Ruusan, which led to both groups having a parting of ways. Firemane has not tied itself to a galactic government since then.

Firemane was an active participant in the First Galactic Alliance-First Order War, a conflict that was sparked by a clash between both powers on the wasteland of Kaeshana. Having spearheaded a humanitarian mission to aid the Eldorai who'd been left behind on the planet, Firemane was very invested in combating the First Order and supported the Galactic Alliance in several battles, until the war was ended by treaty. In the aftermath of the conflict on Kaeshana, Siobhan assumed total control of Firemane. Recently, Firemane helped the Eldorai and Tygaran elves seek a new future in the stars by building worldships and providing them with technical advisors. Firemane operates on a galactic level, but does not do business with Sith or factions they wield power in.

The Present:

In present times, Firemane is looking towards new horizons. In particular, its exploration division is being strengthened, as the company intends to explore new worlds on the galactic fringe. This is in keeping with its goals of reconnecting remote worlds that were isolated when the Galaxy was ravaged by the Gulag Virus. Firemane has a well-laid out code of ethics when it comes to handling first contact situations, especially low-tech societies. That said, at the end of the day it is a business. Generally, Firemane prefers cooperative relationships with local rulers on lost world and favours a form of - relatively - benign vassalage over direct rule. There is, of course, a price, namely being exposed to Firemane political influence, which can turn into dominance.

However, Firemane seeks to actively promote natives from the lost worlds it attempts to influence. Tygaran elves, for instance, can be found in the highest echelons of Firemane's hierarchy. Firemane has a strong commitment to opposing slavery, but strives to attain sustainable abolition. If this means provisionally tolerating slavery on low-tech worlds while working to introduce technology that render the practice uneconomical, then Firemane will choose that path, even if it means working with local rulers who abolish it out of pragmatism rather than epiphany. However, it is equally capable of military action to make an example of slavers. Its freedman bureau Firedawn provides emancipated slaves with homes, education and provisions and helps them find jobs.

The galaxy is a dangerous place, and so Firemane fields significant naval and ground forces. Siobhan Kerrigan has assumed full control as sole CEO, with Kaylah Danton serving as Vice President. Siobhan governs with the assistance of the Board of Control but has the final word on all major decisions. She also retains the power to hire and fire members of Firemane's ruling group. Through the construction of worldships, a command ship and enormous arkstations, the company has gone mobile. Recently, Firemane partnered with Nove Bank to construct a worldcraft.

It provides what amounts to an exchange programme to Tygaran elves and natives from other civilisations influenced by Firemane. The people who take advantage of it join Firemane for a while to learn new skills and network before returning home. Indeed, Siobhan has taken the children of some Tygaran rulers as wards. Needless to say this is also a way for Firemane to exert political and economic influence by building a loyal clientele. Of course, how successful this is varies in practice. For instance, a group of Eldorai and Tygaran renegades called the Shadow Knights are deeply opposed to Firemane.

Although Firemane is a business, it has assumed many of the functions normally associated with a government. It administers territory, fields military forces, wages war on its own fiat, issues currency and carries out foreign policy. On worlds with little in the way of central government, Firemane offers alternatives to government services, such as anti-piracy and anti-slavery protection, education, planetary infrastructure and law enforcement. One of its tag lines is that it does what governments cannot and has remained stable throughout while galactic governments come and go. Needless to say this has also caused Firemane to manifest strong monopolistic tendencies. Wary of attracting the ire of trust busters, Firemane concentrates its key operations on fringe worlds as well as on arkships.

Its arkships are essentially mobile cities on the move and many residents live there on a permanent or longer-term basis. This does not mean every resident is an employee. For instance, Firemane leases space to organisations or private individuals on the Arx. Most businesses on the ginormous station are not owned by Firemane, but they pay rent and must adhere to regulations. This ensures a steady stream of revenue. Many children in the local schools are the children of Firemane employees. The corporation employs their teachers, pays for their textbooks and provides manifold job opportunities. Employees receive Firemane healthcare and watch Firemane media content. And they are protected bya Firemane police force, the Skywatch, which has jurisdiction over both employees and residents.

As a result, the line between citizen and employee is rather blurred. It has caused people to joke about being subjects of 'Queen Siobhan of the House Kerrigan, First of her Name'. Firemane strives to maintain a standard of living that keeps its employees happy and productive. On the negative side, Siobhan is essentially a stateless autocrat. Firemane is purely privately owned. It also does not offer shares on the stock exchange. The members of the Board are appointees who can be hired and fired by Siobhan. Suggestions for them to increase their market value by floating the company are swiftly denied by Siobhan. This does not mean that every measure is micromanaged by her. Individual departments are given a broad remit to act within their sphere. But it is impossible to make a policy decision she disagrees with.

Rationale: After stepping down as Lady Protector of the Omega Protectorate, Tegaea Alcori was given permission to form a company encompassing part of Star Corp’s Omega Industries. The idea was that Firemane would eventually expand outside the Protectorate. The Eldorai Queen gave them permission to use Kaeshana as a starting base. Several years ago, Tegaea stepped down from leading Firemane and full ownership was transferred to Siobhan Kerrigan, who now wields executive power as the new CEO.

Please note that ownership of this company has been transferred from Valiens Nantaris Valiens Nantaris but he retains full permission to create subs using this company or edit submissions he has subbed for it under any of his accounts.

A little too many divisions for Tier II. I would say remove two of the divisions and just gain them back as subsidiaries when you move up a tier. Alternatively, just remove the mining/exploration division and specify research/design as military research and design. Then I could see it working out.

That'd be my one cavet. Everything else is good.

@[member="Tegaea Alcori"] Approved.

@[member="Tyrin Ardik"] I'm stamping and changing the prefix, move this to the approved company forums. Also post the company here in the approved company listing in the proper tier in alphabetical order please. Hyperlink it as well.
