Name: Akala
Loyalties: Kwa Holdings Empire(Around 100,000 BBY), Akala’s Empire(Around 837 ABY), Akala(837-844 ABY)
Role: Harbinger of Galactic Crisis

Development Threads:
Netherworld Episode IV: No Hope
Mask of Madness Act I: Sands of Time
Mask of Madness Act III: Insurrection
Mask of Madness Act IV: Madness
Mask of Madness Act IV: Map of Planet Ash – Not an IC thread, but provides sparse information on her history.
Netherworld Episode V: Akala Strikes Back
Netherworld Episode VI: Balance of the Force

Age: Presumably 100845 Years Old At her death.
Species: Kwa

Appearance: While of Kwa origin the appearance of Akala is largely human, though she seems to possess an aura to her. After drinking the Font of Power she grew to monstrous size and proportions, becoming a beast that could only be described in eldritch proportions.

Personality: From the limited amount the Galaxy has seen of Akala as a person she operates largely as a spoiled child with a “might makes right” philosophy. She get what she wants when she wants because she is a princess, because she is a God. When events don’t go to her liking, the entire Galaxy is her toy to torture.

Force Sensitivity: God

Weapon of Choice: The Force

Skills:
-Once possessed a variety of individuals of varying levels of Force Sensitivy and training to not only serve in her army, but also possess a cult-level love and respect for her. These people were known as “The Kursed”.
-During the Second Akala Crisis she had enough strength in the Force to materialize planets from one galaxy to another, open rifts to the netherworld(Some of which increased people’s power in the Force or gave them similar amounts of fanaticism as the Kursed), and even attempted to bring the Netherworld to the galaxy, though she was murdered before she could complete it.
-During the Second Akala Crisis her power and presence altered the Force and how it operated in the universe, often having unintended side effects when used.
-After drinking from the Font of Power Akala’s body shifted into a monstrous form, somewhat comparable to Abeloth’s transformation. In this form she was able to open an immense amount of portals, sending legions of the dead into the galaxy, dead that were alive when they passed through into reality.

Wealth:
Currently dead, but possessed extreme wealth as a royal of the Kwa Holdings Empire.

Combat Function: Event Major Antagonist

Notable Possessions:
Currently dead, but it is notable that she drank the entire Font of Power.

History:

In 658 ABY Zero, the terrorist who created the Gulag Plague, disguised himself as a Celestial, presumably The Architect, and contacted Akala. Telling her he was on Dathomir, held by prisoner by The Galactic Alliance(notably a government not linked in anyway to the modern galactic alliance). Akala presumably went to Dathomir but was not discovered by the Galaxy at large until an excavation party found a hypergate, prompting the aforementioned First Akala Crisis.

Any information discovered during the First Akala Crisis is assumed but not verified to accurate, due to much of it being revealed in what was known as the “Act Cells” of the Hatchery, a prison on the planet Ash. These cells put their captors in a sort of dreamlike state. It is unknown the methods used to do so, but the dreamlike state was forced onto various differing species(notably including epicanthix), several Force Masters, and even droids. In “Act I” the prisoners were brought through a jumble of historical events that were presumably important points in Akala’s life, though there is no way to prove the veracity of the illusion.

In the “Act I” illusion it is said that Akala was born to King Oa and Queen Naala, Kwa royalty in charge of the Kwa Holding Empire. Other notable characters that pop up are her uncle Mako, said to be maker of the Hypergates, and Praetor Kaa, who would later become her general. She grew up loving her family, who eventually came to harbor the ‘last of the Celestials’, a man referred to as ‘The Architect’. There was of course, trouble in paradise, as The Architect was a hated enemy of The Rakata Infinite Empire. King Oa attempted to protect the Kwa by forcing The Architect to leave, much to the dismay of Akala. Before he left however the Infinite Empire came, presumably killing The Architect and Akala’s parents. It is notable that the “Act I” illusion was particularly spotty, with various inconsistencies pointed out, such as the reference to BBY timekeeping. [member="Jorus Merrill"] and [member="Moira Skaldi"] in particular caught on fairly quick that what they were doing wasn’t real, and even manipulated those circumstances to ‘move the story forward’ so to speak.

The “Act II” illusion was a large and elaborate dinner party, but no specific mention was made of Akala or any of her associates.

The “Act III” illusion was a twenty-years in the future scenario where Akala had conquered the galaxy, who’s last stand was on Mandalore. As it was a simulation of a twenty year jump to the future none of it is actually history, but information could be gleaned on the illusions of her workers. General Kaa, her right-hand man and lover, Jhaega a son of Kaa who had been transformed into a powerful dragon, Phobos a son of Kaa who excelled in mentalism regarding fear, and Malentha a daughter of Kaa who tried to rebel against Akala. Aside from Malentha they each showed emphatic loyalty to Akala, bordering on worship.

All of these illusions were carried out on The Hatchery, a prison on the artificial planet Ash that housed her and “The Seven”, essentially a group of moffs that ran individual sectors of her planet. The captors eventually came out of their dreams and escaped the prison, fighting off the dragon Jhaega and dispelling whatever power Akala had used to entice people of the galaxy to become “The Kursed”. While enough damage was done to ensure the galaxy’s safety for a time, Akala managed to escape unharmed.

Not yet done with the Galaxy however, Akala decided to take on the Galaxy once again in a more direct approach. Dismantling the Force and it’s connection to it’s various wielders Akala transported a large fraction of the galaxy into the Netherworld of the Force, and opened portal after portal from the Netherworld to the Galaxy. Some of these portals were imbued into people, some stuck at fixed locations, each affecting the user in various ways.

As she continued to open portals she even imbued one of them with an effect that made those going through her fall madly in love with her, similar to how she afflicted many with a “Kurse” in the First Akala Crisis. Another she opened had the same effects, and also increased the power of the user in the Force, magnifying it twofold. Said gate was also made by Akala transporting a planet from the Yuuzhan Vong Galaxy into the “main” galaxy in the physical location of another planet, Corellia. Unable to occupy the same space the planets were destroyed, splitting in two.

As Akala opened Netherworld Rifts and toyed with the fabric of reality she found she was unsatisfied. Perhaps with her power, or perhaps simply because in scouring the Netherworld with her power she could not find her first love, The Architect. Heading to The Realm Beyond Shadows Akala found the Font of Power and drank it, all of it, becoming a monstrosity of unseen proportions.

Shortly after that event she was confronted by a variety of fighters, including the (perhaps) former apprentice of Zero, one Bol-Jahir. Armed with the Dagger of Mortis Bol-Jahir aimed to end the threat of Akala once and for all, but was killed in the fight. Akala opened several more rifts into the galaxy and brought the undead to raze it, even attempting to bring more planets from the Yuuzhan Vong galaxy into the main galaxy. Teferi Efreet came to fight her, bringing in hordes of fallen Jedi to fend off her summoned undead and end Akala, while [member="Tamara"] stabbed the Mortis Dagger into her neck. Though the Dagger of Mortis did not provide her immediate end it made her mortal, allowing [member="Seris Vant"] to fire a round through her mouth, going through brain and finishing her off.

Or so the Galaxy hopes.

Intent: To create a comprehensive listing of what we know of Akala from her history as the major antagonist of two major board-wide events to allow users to have a quick reference and new users to have a good way to get up to speed on her effects on the galaxy.

Disclaimer: Akala is purely an Event Boss NPC. This submission is not intended to make Akala accessible for public use, and much of her history isn't public knowledge(for example, that Zero disguised himself as a Celestial to fool her). This submission is purely to be used as a reference, to allow for better immersion into the board's history.
