CONTENT INFORMATION
The book is structured as an item-by-item guide to poisons (ingested, inhaled, or taken on contact), venoms (injected by tooth or claw), and other excretions pertaining to each Sithspawn species found on Valrar. All were created by Taeli Raaf, Darth Arcanix, the 'Lady of Secrets.'

  • Rupturer: Acid capable of damaging the strongest metals.
  • Hornets: Acid capable of damaging the strongest metals. Venom causes localized or general paralysis.
  • Horde Matriarchs: Airborne hallucinogen.
  • Ravager: Venom causes hallucinations and loss of emotional regulation. Extremely powerful endocrine/adrenal system; fluids may have special uses.
  • Menacer: Corrosive substance capable of eating through ship hulls.
  • Blighter: Carries mutagenic airborne virus.
  • Poisoner: Kouhoun-derived neurotoxin deployed as both instantly lethal venom (stinger) and lingeringly lethal poison (airborne). Leg bristles host necrotizing bacteria.
  • Qyazik Dziri: Paralyzing venom.
  • Rayijadni Nexu: Powerful Sith poison venom (causing rage or death).
  • Irza Zarwa: Venom causes 'indescribable' pain.
  • Zasa Raura: Especially powerful paralyzing venom.
  • Nairi Wasps: Rhak-skuri-derived terrorizing hallucinogenic venom can cause overwhelming frenzy.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
When his grandson began leading hunting expeditions to Valrar, Velok the Younger dusted off a project he'd hoped to tackle for years: an exhaustive catalogue of the poisons and venoms from Taeli Raaf Taeli Raaf 's Sithspawn. Valrar was home to a wide variety of them. Enthusiastic Whiphid hunters provided the old alchemist with the samples he sought. He started testing and writing with a vengeance.

He also interviewed several surprisingly accommodating Spinners and Surgeons, local sapient Sithspawn who were well-versed in Sithspawn biology. Disaster struck when his grandson, Velok the Youngest, began a torrid affair with a Surgeon. Whiphids are not welcome among the Surgeons of Valrar to this day.
