OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Irza Zarwa
  • Designation: Non-sentient
  • Homeworld: Valrar
  • Language: Roars and howls
  • Average Lifespan: 35 years
  • Estimated Population: Planetary
  • Description: A terrifying cross of reptile and insect, the Irza Zarwa, at a glance, are monsters with orange translucent wings, massive claws on their feet and hands, and spikes covering their scaly hide
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type I
  • Average height of adults: 3.5 meters
  • Average length of adults: 2 meters
  • Skin color: Blueish-gray to dark gray
  • Hair color: No hair
  • Distinctions: The most distinctive traits of the Irza Zarwa are definitely the large primary wings that have grown on their back, the massive claws that make up their feet and hands, and the scaly hide that covers their bodies. Males have more pronounced claws, while females have a thicker scale hide and a second set of wings.
  • Races: No other races
  • Strengths:
  1. The Irza Zarwa are incredibly strong due to their musculature being enhanced through the use of Sith alchemy by the Lady of Secrets
  2. The scaly hide of the Irza Zarwa can easily shrug off blaster and slugthrower rounds, even glancing hits by a lightsaber
  3. The massive claws of the Irza Zarwa are incredibly strong and sharp, and as part of their combination with the fire wasp and enhancement with Sith alchemy, carry a potent venom that can cause indescribable and incapacitating pain to whoever gets infected with it
  4. The tail of the Irza Zarwa has also been modified, much like the Wyvern Sithspawn, to fire a type of bio-plasma as a projectile attack
  5. The wings of the Irza Zarwa give it some limited flight abilities, with the creatures able to stay airborne for several minutes at a time. Females are able to stay in the air longer due to their second set of wings being able to help compensate for the weight of the monster
  6. If given an order in the Sith language, it is compelled to obey it no matter what
  • Weaknesses:
  1. As with most Sithspawn, the Irza Zarwa are susceptible to applications of Force Light, severely injuring or killing the creature
  2. Heavier weapons have no trouble getting through the scales of the creature, and if not a glancing blow, a lightsaber can cut through it
  3. An oddity, if the creature is hit with an application of Force Healing, the claws on its feet and hands will shatter and never regrow
  4. If the tail of the creature is injured enough, the bio-plasma will build up in its body and be unable to be launched. With enough buildup, the creature will explode
  5. If the wings of the creature are damaged, it will never be able to heal the injury and the creature will be unable to fly. Additionally, they are far more susceptible to small arms fire than the rest of the body, easily being damaged if hit
  6. A double-edged sword, if the creature gets conflicting orders in the Sith language (i.e. a Sith gives one command, and the prey gives another), the creature will frenzy and attack anything around it
CULTURE
  • Diet: Carnivore
  • Communication: Roars and howls, can understand commands given in Sith
  • Technology level: No technology level
  • Religion/Beliefs: No religion or belief system
  • General behavior: The Irza Zarwa are vicious monsters that can both operate independently or in a pack, depending on if a female specimen has dominated several males. They prefer to overpower their prey, either with a withering blast of bio-plasma or if they are close enough, savagely slashing them with the claws. If they need to catch something, they will revert to either the four-legged gait of the Gohai base creature or use their wings. Females, once they have dominated enough males to form a pack, will create a lair and lay eggs, with the males acting as both protection and as foragers to bring the female and the young food.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

While waiting for the results of an experiment or two, Taeli Raaf, the Lady of Secrets, was challenged by the Dark Lord himself [member="Darth Carnifex"] to create a monster using specimens of his choice. Accepting the challenge, the Emperor decided the Lady of Secrets had to use a Gohai, a common creature in the Mid and Outer Rims and a fire wasp to create a Sithspawn. She accepted the challenge and immediately began the work of collecting the specimens.

Once she had them, she began combining the creatures through the use of Sith alchemy, horribly mutating and enhancing the creatures until they became the Irza Zarwa. At three meters, scaled, with massive claws and insectile wings, the new monster was a terror. One that she happily collected the fifty credits from the Emperor for making. The creature's claws are its main form of attack, being used to shred prey or infect them with a pain-causing venom, and then ripping a tearing. The wings allow them a limited ability to fly for several minutes before they have to land, and to make them even more dangerous, the tail of the monsters were adapted to have a bio-plasma launcher, fed through the energy of the beasts consuming their prey.

Once the experiment was complete, she allowed the specimens to go off into the jungles of Valrar, already home to a vast array of Sithspawn she and her alchemists had created. Her operatives observed the quick breeding and dominating habits of the creatures, surprised at their ability to survive as individual monsters and in packs. The creatures tended to the caves and more open regions of the planet, all the better to see and stalk prey.

You're treading dangerously close to mini-dragons here sensei, but there's enough canon precedent and the limited flight factor/lack of firebreathing that I won't put you on the bit.

Are these dudes' wings more susceptible to smaller arms fire? If so, are there any other parties of their body where the hide might be weaker, or this a full stop blaster/projectile resistance?
