OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
• Name: Menacer
• Designation: Non-sentient
• Homeworld: Valrar (developed at a space station in orbit over the planet)
• Language: No language
• Average Lifespan: 30 years
• Estimated Population: Scattered
• Description: The Menacer's appearance looks like some horrible amalgamation of insect and Purrgil, from it's hideous body to the long tentacles at its end.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
• Breathes: Survives in the vacuum of space, but it only breathes Clouzon-36 gas
• Average height of adults: 2 meters
• Average length of adults: 8 meters
• Skin color: Purple and orange body, tapering to black at its tentacles
• Hair color: No hair
• Distinctions: The most distinguishing physical traits of the Menacer are its long tentacles, leftover from the original Purrgil specimen, and the spikes and claws that were carried over from the combination of the Scree into the monsters.
• Races: No other races
• Strengths:
1. The Menacer retains its base template's ability to move through hyperspace through the use of its tentacles and stored quantities of Clouzon-36 gas within its body
2. The Menacer is able to spit globules of a highly corrosive substance that can eat through a ship's hull, with the substance itself being identical to that which the Scree secretes from its pincers
3. Its body itself is covered in an extremely tough carapace that can allow it to survive a few hits from a starfighter's laser cannon
4. Using its tentacles and its ability to regulate its gases, the Menacer is surprisingly agile in space
5. Using its front claws, it can latch onto the hull of a ship to attack something more directly
• Weaknesses:
1. If one of its tentacles is damaged, which is quite easy as the tentacles are not armored at all, the Menacer can no longer jump to hyperspace and it is essentially dead in space as it needs all of them to move
2. A capital ship's weaponry can easily tear right through its carapace, killing it instantly
3. A normal planet's atmosphere is toxic to the creature, and will kill it within moments of it passing even to its uppermost level
4. Its own corrosive substance can eat right through its armor and kill the creature
5. Sonic mines, even just ones that emit noise or even just emitting a continuous noise over a communication system, are especially effective against the Menacer as they are not accustomed to sound. The sound will at best disorient them and cause them go into frenzy, attacking their fellows and themselves, and at worst, will cause death or extremely crippling pain that they can't move for days after exposure.
CULTURE
• Diet: Interstellar gases and minerals it can gain from consuming asteroid rock or metals
• Communication: Subtle manipulation of its tentacles in a form of instinctive sign language
• Technology level: No technology level
• Religion/Beliefs: No religion or belief system
• General behavior: As a complete opposite to the peaceful nature of the Purrgils, the Menacers actively hunt down enemy forces in space with a savage instinctive glee. When not hunting for ships that might be a threat to their dark side masters, the Menacers will generally float through deep space or on the outer edges of a star system, absorbing gases and eating the occasional asteroid or rocky comet for nourishment. When the need to breed comes along, the Menacers will retreat to the star system of their creation, using their tentacles in an intricate pattern to attract mates.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

As part of their continuing series of Sithspawn, Eldaah and her Master began work on their next project, a Sithspawn that could survive in the vacuum of space and could be used to attack enemy ships. To that end, Eldaah traveled to the Vergesso asteroids and abducted several Scree while her Master called a number of Purrgil to the Valrar system through the Force, dominating them with her will. Once they had both sets of creatures, and establishing an observation station in space to work from, Eldaah and her Master began work on a horrible amalgamation of the two species into a new one: the Menacer.

The Menacer retains the Purrgil's ability to jump through hyperspace by the ingestion of Clouzon-36 gas and the tentacles that were leftover from the base creatures. Besides that though, not much is left to identify the creature as once being a Purrgil. The Scree genetics introduced, forcefully through alchemy, took on a life of their own, warping the creature into its current state and giving it some other useful traits. The Menacer is able to spit out globules of the corrosive substance that Scree would exude from their pincers, which is potent enough to melt through the strongest starship hull. An extremely hard carapace covered its body, except for the tentacles, allowing the Menacer to survive attacks from enemy starfighters for a time. Using its tentacles, and its now instinctive control of its internal gases once again from the Scree genetics, the Menacer is also quite agile in space. A last addition was the large claws that surround the Menacer's head that it can use to latch onto a ship's hull.

However, the Menacer does have some significant weaknesses. If any of its tentacles are damaged, it can no longer move through space or jump to hyperspace. Its carapace, while tough, cannot stand up to a capital ship's weapons, and they will punch right through to kill it. Its own corrosive substance can also eat through its armor, being able to kill it as well. Because of how they were developed, the creatures cannot go into the atmosphere of a normal planet as atmosphere is highly toxic to them and will kill them quickly. They are also extremely susceptible to sonic weaponry like mines, even just emitting a continuous noise over a comm channel, will cause them to either frenzy and attack each other and themselves, or will just kill them outright through sheer shock and pain.
