- Intrinsic Shield - Protecting the wearer primarily through a network of miniaturized energy shield projectors embedded within the suit itself, the Pulsiva is very effective in mitigating energy and kinetic-based attacks.
- Lightsaber Resistance - Surprisingly, the Pulsiva also has a high resistance to lightsabers, allowing the wearer to challenge such vaunted wielders of the arcane arts with a reliable degree of protection.
- Modularity - The Pulsiva is highly modular, to the point where the wearer can attach additional armor plating, add enhancements, and yet more.
- Storm Pulse - EMP and Ion discharges are quite capable of disabling the miniaturized energy shield projectors embedded within the Pulsiva, with the potential to seriously compromise the level of protection the suit is affords its wearer, making them vulnerable to weapons which the suit would otherwise be highly resistant to, such as blasters, slugthrowers, and vibroblades.
- Paddle Beams - While lethal only at close range, paddle beam weapons are nevertheless a vulnerability of the Pulsiva as its defenses are not optimized to protect against them. As such, these weapons can quite easily inflict disabling effects on the wearer upon being struck, effectively paralyzing them.
- Mechanical Mutation - Practitioners of Mechu-deru and other technology-corrupting arts can quite feasibly disable, corrupt, and/or manipulate many of the Pulsiva’s electronics, most notably the miniaturized energy shield projectors, power cells, and the lyra gravity system provided that they have a direct line of sight to the suit. A creative wielder of such arts could easily turn these technologies against the wearer.
With cloning operations ramping up on Gehinnom as the Brotherhood of the Maw sought to replenish its manpower in the wake of Csilla, Korriban, Ilum, Thule, and yet more worlds, a need emerged for a bodysuit to for newly-created clones. Designed as a relatively simple, yet robust bodysuit, including a moderate selection of utility, the Pulsiva is the signature outfit of the cloned slave soldiers produced by the Brotherhood. Issued to each clone upon emerging from their vat and marked with their serial numbers, the suit itself is a kind of tabula rasa which can be enhanced by the wearer, typically through the addition of armor plating or utility equipment, but also by other means.
All in all, the Pulsiva is intended to provide the Brotherhood’s clones with a basic combat outfit which can be built upon as they acquire experience in battle and loot from the field…
Or alternatively, a skintight grave for a violent death in service to the will of the Dark Gods.
