SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Undisruptable — Integram has the unique property of being completely immune to disruptor blasts. When mixed in with other materials to form new alloys or composite armors, the integral properties of this mineral can be passed on, and provide increased resistance to disruptor weaponry.
STRENGTHS
  • Ingredient — Integrum is easy to mix in with other materials to produce new alloys with an increased resistance to disruptor blasts.
  • Light — Integrum is an extremely light mineral.
  • Heat — Integrum has great resistance to heat.
  • Cover — On planets and at places where Integrum is abundant, it can be used as a source of cover from disruptor fire.
  • Easily Extracted — There are several deposits of Integrum that can visibly be seen on the surface on multiple worlds. Integrum is a noticeably very light material, and has been found easy to separate from other materials.
WEAKNESSES
  • Crumbly — Integrum on its own is too soft and powdery to be used as the primary material for construction. When too much Integrum is used in an amalgamation it will cause the final product too be brittle.
  • Sonic — Natural formations consisting of Integrum can be sonically blasted into a cloud of dust. This in fact, is how some mining operations extract the mineral.
  • Acid — Integrum on its own will breakdown when exposed to acidic substances.
  • Bacteria — Microbes can easily be spread and grow on surfaces on Integrum.
  • Select Sources — The mineral Integrum has only been found on the planets Klatooine, Jilrua, Sleheyron, Smarteel, Sriluur, and Tammar, in the Outer Rim.
DESCRIPTION
Integrum is a mineral with unique properties that has been discovered thus far on Klatoiine, Jilrua, Sleheyron, Smarteel, Sriluur, and Tammar, all desert worlds, and all situated in the Outer Rim, within the bounds of the Slice region. Researchers surmise that Integrum forms only in star systems that relatively young. Regarding why the mineral has only been discovered within the bounds of the Slice region, it's anyone's guess. It could be that region of space has some unique properties that allow for the formation of Integrum, or could be a matter of coincidence. During the Clone Wars it was discovered that disruptors had no effect on an exposed cliffside. A discerning officer took note, and sent a sample back to the Core Worlds for further study. Researchers at the University of Coruscant confirmed this material had intricate properties that nullified the disintegrative effects of a disruptor blast. Preliminary experiments found adding a small quantity to alloys transferred the unique effects of the mineral. The research team at the university would name the mineral Integrum.

In the years to follow its discovery, different companies would experiment with Integrum, finding applications for this blue powdery mineral.
