PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Oversight and Administration
  • Information Storage and Processing
  • Power Systems
  • Data and Information Security
  • Operational Phases and Technical Components
    • Phase 1: Ignition - Artificial Core
      • Gravitic Anvil
        • At the heart of the HSE is a spherical chamber lined with thousands of high-density gravity projectors. Upon activation, these projectors fire in a synchronized sequence, compressing a pre-loaded seed mass of heavy, inert elements (e.g., depleted baradium, neutronium slag) into a spinning, super-dense sphere. The pressure and density are so great that the sphere enters a perpetual molten state held together by gravity, forming an artificial core floating in a vacuum.
    • Phase 2: Catalyst - Artificial Solar Radiation
      • Particle Fusion Torus
        • Encircling the gravitic anvil is a toroidal (doughnut-shaped) particle accelerator. This system does not require external fuel in the conventional sense. Instead, it initiates a fusion reaction using minimal starting power, hijacking its primary energy source from the next phase. The torus accelerates protons to near-lightspeed and focuses them into a continuous, high-intensity beam of energy that bombards the surface of the artificial core.
    • Phase 3: Transmutation and Recursive Loop
      • Transmutation Reaction
        • The interaction between the particle beam and the hyper-dense artificial core produces immense gravity and energy forces, forcing a quantum-level transmutation that mimics the natural process through which hypermatter is formed. The atoms at the core's surface are "shattered" and "re-forged" into exotic particles that constitute ultra-pure Coaxium-grade hypermatter.
      • Recursive Stabilization Loop
        • A portion of the newly generated hypermatter is immediately siphoned off via a magnetic scalar scoop before it can decay. If the host platform does not require fuel (solid or liquid), then all of the hypermatter is utilized during this stage, rather than a portion.
        • Due to the perfect reaction conditions within the core, all of the hypermatter produced by the transmutation reaction is pre-refined as ultra-pure Coaxium. This Coaxium-grade hypermatter is fed directly into a plasma conduit and channeled into a miniaturized hypermatter reactor. This reactor generates power by destroying the hypermatter, before shunting the energetic byproduct back to three key systems:
          • Gravitic Anvil: Provides the immense, stable power required to maintain the artificial core, far more efficiently than an external reactor.
          • Particle Fusion Torus: Supercharges the particle beam, turning it from a simple proton stream into a "hypermatter-infused" beam of incalculable potency.
          • Energy Capacitor: The final destination for the vast majority of energy produced by the HSE prior to being utilized by the host platform. This is an ultra-high-capacity energy capacitor, carrying enough power to support ~72 hours of moderate-load operation on most platforms. The energy capacitor is also used to restart the core from an inactive state.
    • Phase 4: Fuel Storage
      • For starships or vehicles that require fuel, the remaining ultra-pure Coaxium-grade hypermatter is stored to be used as a fuel, solid or liquid. Thus, the vehicle has its own self-replenishing fuel source.
  • Utility Systems
    • Diagnostic System
      • Computer brain-powered diagnostic system runs automatic maintenance checks on the HSE and is able to identify parts, systems, and components in need of repair or replacement. It is capable of identifying any and all potential issues that might arise with the system.
    • Power Management Capability
      • Power management systems synchronize with the host platform to monitor energy consumption, controlling energy flow as needed. This capability also allows the operator(s) to control which systems have priority for power. For example, it allows them to shunt additional power to shields in exchange for dampening power flow to weapons or another system.
    • Networking Capability
      • Should there be more than one HSE installed in a single platform, they can be networked and linked together to ensure optimal energy flow to all subsystems.
    • Overload Capability
      • With proper authorization, the HSE’s energy output can be deliberately overloaded to destroy the system and the host platform. This is often used to prevent sensitive technology from falling into enemy hands. However, it should be noted that this capability is locked behind extensive and robust security protocols, often requiring direct security authorization from multiple officers on larger platforms such as capital starships, super-heavy vehicles, and stations.
  • Safety Systems
    • Prevention Systems
      • Gravitic Anvil Harmonic Stabilizer
        • The thousands of individual gravity projectors are slaved to a central harmonic frequency. If any single projector's output fluctuates beyond a 0.001% tolerance, the system initiates a cascade re-alignment, where the surrounding projectors instantly compensate, "catching" the artificial core while the faulty projector is taken offline for micro-second recalibration. The core remains stable without interruption.
      • Recursive Loop Flow Regulators
        • The plasma conduit carrying the recursive hypermatter stream is lined with a series of highly sensitive piezoelectric sonic transceivers. These transceivers constantly fire precisely calibrated pulses of ultrasonic energy through the hypermatter plasma and measure the returning echo. The hypermatter plasma, due to its exotic and energetic nature, has a unique and predictable acoustic signature. Its density, flow velocity, and stability directly affect the frequency, phase shift, and attenuation of the sound waves passing through it. By analyzing these changes in real-time with a dedicated acoustic computer, the system builds a perfect, millisecond-by-millisecond tomographic map of the flow, detecting the minute turbulence that precedes a power surge long before it manifests as a dangerous energy spike.
        • If the acoustic signature indicates an imminent surge, the system responds by injecting crystalline "buffering rods" infused with molecularly bonded neutronium directly into the conduit. These rods are acoustically "tuned" to resonate at the specific frequency of the unstable hypermatter. Their resonant interaction with the plasma absorbs the excess kinetic and thermal energy, dissipating it as a controlled, vibrant pulse of radiation which is then harmlessly siphoned away by the radiation negation system. This provides an instantaneous, non-mechanical braking effect that smooths out the reaction.
      • Predictive Particle Beam Scatter Analysis
        • If the particle beam from the torus loses focus or develops a "hot spot," it could cause a dangerous bulge in the artificial core, leading to a catastrophic imbalance. To prevent this, specialized sensors constantly monitor the beam's profile. Using predictive computation, the system can anticipate a scatter event milliseconds before it happens and make real-time magnetic corrections to the beam path, keeping the pressure perfectly aligned across the core's surface.
      • Primary Coolant Systems
        • The HSE’s primary coolant systems are a critical circulatory system, responsible for managing the immense baseline thermal output of the artificial core and particle torus. The primary coolant is a superfluid, ionized plasma slurry, chosen for its phenomenal heat capacity and ability to be manipulated by magnetic fields. This superheated slurry is circulated through conduits lined with hyper-conductive ostrine-tursturin coils, which transfers the thermal energy directly to the recursive loop. In essence, waste heat is recycled as raw energy to help power the particle fusion torus (or to power other systems in the host), making the cooling process a contributor to the reactor's efficiency in addition to functioning as a safety overhead.
      • Radiation Shielding
      • Radiation Negation System
      • De-Ionization System
      • Cap Drain
      • Terentatek Hide Integration
        • Virtually all critical internal systems are lined with thin terentatek hide sheets. Ultra-thin terentatek hide microfibers are woven into insulation and wiring jackets, integrating Force-resistance directly into the HSE’s electrical architecture.
    • Containment Systems
      • Layered Containment Sphere
        • The chamber housing the gravitic anvil is a series of nested shields:
          • Innermost Layer - Magnetic Scalar Bottle
            • The primary container for the raw hypermatter and particle beam energy. A failure here triggers everything else.
          • Secondary Layer - Concussive Force Field
            • A specialized energy field designed to absorb and redistribute kinetic force. In the event of a core decompression, this field attempts to transform a single, catastrophic shockwave into a "manageable" hemisphere of diffuse pressure.
          • Tertiary Layer - Physical Armor
      • CryoBan Injection System
        • A network of high-pressure conduits, separate from the primary coolant lines, runs along the interior of the gravitic anvil's containment sphere. These conduits are filled with a liquid-state processed CryoBan slurry. At the first sign of a catastrophic thermal spike or a containment field fluctuation, the micro-nozzles lining the chamber simultaneously inject this slurry directly into the chamber as an ultra-fine mist. This mist vaporizes instantly, vast amounts of thermal energy in milliseconds. It creates a momentary "shroud" of absolute zero temperatures along the inner containment wall, snuffing out plasma flares and absorbing the initial kinetic energy of a decompression. While this does not stop an overload event, it buys critical time for other systems to initiate a controlled collapse, preventing a cascading failure.
      • Emergency Radiator Flush
        • This system consists of a network of modular, cartridge-like heat sinks integrated directly into the outer surface of the host platform. This surface is studded with panels filled with a micro-ablative CryoBan slurry. In a thermal overload event, these panels are violently jettisoned, and the superheated plasma coolant from the reactor core is flushed directly into the void left behind. The slurry instantly vaporizes, creating a massive, short-lived cloud of dissipating energy around the vehicle that glows like a miniature supernova. This act radiates away the catastrophic heat, saving the vessel from a core breach but potentially leaving it heavily damaged and vulnerable. It is a last-ditch, single-use safety measure.
      • Emergency Radiation Dampening Foam Dissipation System
    • Termination Protocols
      • Controlled Gravitic Collapse
        • In the event of a major but non-critical failure. the system initiates a sequential decompression. The projectors are powered down in a precise, inward-spiral pattern over a brief period of time (typically measured in seconds), allowing the artificial core to "unwind" and expand in a controlled manner, dissipating its energy as heat via the emergency radiator flush. This prevents an explosive decompression.
      • Emergency Core Ejection
        • If the core becomes unstable and cannot be collapsed safely, the entire gravitic anvil assembly can be explosively severed from the host. A ring of shaped plasma charges can cleanly cut it free, followed by a pre-charged pressor projector array that physically shoves the entire unstable core and its containment chamber out of the host at high velocity. The core is then detonated remotely at a safe distance.
STRENGTHS
  • Unlimited Power: The HSE has significant output and can produce virtually endless amounts of energy and fuel. It is capable of driving many power hungry systems at once, minimizing issues with energy capacity.
  • Deep Reserves: Given coaxium’s high energy density as a fuel (with only a small quantity being sufficient to power an entire fleet of ships), the HSE does not need to be “always on”. In fact, under most operating conditions (even during high-intensity combat), the core is inactive, with the host ship/vehicle running on power from the HSE’s energy capacitor and coaxium fuel harvested from a previous cycle. This only further augments the HSE’s safety, making the risk of breaches almost nonexistent, even during demanding combat operations. In addition, vehicles/ships that run on coaxium do not need large fuel tanks, minimizing the risk of fuel explosions and allowing the space to be used for other systems.
  • Resilient: The HSE has integrated terentatek hide, providing resistance to the Force. Anti-EMP and Ion measures are present in the form of reinforced duraplast electronic hardening and a combat de-ionization, allowing the system to resist high-energy electromagnetic discharges or quickly return to function in the event that it is compromised.
  • Strategic Mobility: The ability to synthesize hypermatter allows the host platform to operate further away from supply lines. The HSE outright eliminates the need for tankers and fuel vehicles, allowing for more freedom of movement in strategic contexts.
WEAKNESSES
  • Prolonged Ignition Sequence: The process of initiating the gravitic anvil and particle fusion torus to create the artificial core is not instantaneous. It requires a prolonged and power-intensive "spin-up" sequence, lasting from several minutes for a small unit to hours for a capital-scale engine. During this vulnerable period, the host platform must rely on its energy capacitor and cannot initiate a new synthesis cycle. An attack that forces repeated shutdowns and restarts can effectively strand a vessel by depleting its capacitor reserves before a new batch of hypermatter can be synthesized.
  • Gravitic Collapse: If the gravitic anvil were to fail, the artificial core risks being instantly decompressed. The resulting energy release has the potential to be catastrophic, potentially vaporizing the host platform. Although there are several safety systems in place to prevent this event under most circumstances, such a catastrophe remains a risk, especially in cases of deliberate sabotage.
DESCRIPTION
Designed by First United Astral Engineering, the FAE/G-01 Hypermatter Synthesis Engine is the company's first natively developed power and propulsion system. Intended to unshackle its platforms from the logistical chains of conventional fuel dependency, the primary objective of the HSE’s design is to grant vessels and installations virtually unlimited operational range and endurance.

The HSE achieves this by replicating the natural, cosmic process of hypermatter formation within a controlled, contained environment. By generating an artificial planetary core and bombarding it with focused particle radiation, the engine catalyzes the transmutation of base materials into ultra-pure, Coaxium-grade hypermatter. This synthesized fuel can either be stored for propulsion or immediately annihilated in an integrated hypermatter reactor, creating a self-sustaining cycle that provides both a limitless fuel source and immense power generation.

It is notable that development of the HSE took notable inspiration from the Hybrid Antimatter Power Unit designed by HPI Consortium. However, in lieu of antimatter, First United Astral Engineering’s designers opted to work with hypermatter for its superior energy density and stability as a storable fuel. From this foundation, safety was paramount. The HSE is integrated with a multi-layered defense architecture of prevention, containment, and termination protocols. These systems, combined with the fact that the core does not need to be frequently cycled, results in a power plant renowned for its stability and inherent safety.

In all, the FAE/G-01 Hypermatter Synthesis Engine is hoped to revolutionize starship design and mobile power generation. It provides the foundational energy backbone to power the next generation of the company’s most ambitious and advanced technological creations.

    • Mk. V Flexibility Enhancement
    • Dynamic Traction Node Array
      • Traction grip nodes composed of programmable microstructures (nano-scale articulated filaments) are embedded just beneath the suit’s outer layer on the palms, forearms, and soles At rest, these nodes sit flush. However, when engaged, the nodes reconfigure their texture in milliseconds, changing from smooth to high-friction grip patterns tuned to the surface beneath. Passive micro-sensors in the palms, forearms, and soles continuously scan texture, hardness, and thermal conductivity of whatever they touch, to identify the surface type. Profiles include ice (microscopic spike protrusions), polished alloy (micro-suction and gecko-inspired molecular adhesion), loose gravel (splayed, high-surface area treads), and yet more. After contact, the programmable surface resets back to smooth mode, shedding dirt, ice, or debris automatically. Self-cleaning transpires via vibrational micro-displacement, preventing buildup that would compromise performance.
      • The traction grip nodes can bias their friction in one direction, allowing for active grip enhancement.
    • FAE/C-03 BioMedical Support System
      • Life support and medisensor / bioscanner functions only.
      • Triple-Layer Thermal Regulation System
        • The suit features a sealed, closed-loop thermal regulation system that augments the wearer’s natural body heat regulation with advanced heat capture and recycling. A skin-contact microcapillary mesh draws heat from muscles and vessels, transferring it to a phase-change buffer layer that stores it as latent energy. Excess heat is then converted into electrical power via thermoelectric cells, which provides additional power to the suit’s energy capacitors. A non-evaporating thermal fluid circulates through the suit like a second vascular network, cooling hotspots before recirculating.
        • In cold conditions, the suit can reverse thermal flow, releasing stored heat back into the body. It equalizes temperature across core and extremities, harvesting even minimal ambient heat and maintaining a stable skin microclimate. If no heat is banked, the suit taps into the energy capacitors, converting energy into heat for warmth.
      • Liquid Reclamation System
        • The suit absorbs, reclaims, and reuses the wearer’s evaporation sweat mist and ionically conductive microfilm, harvesting the latter’s electrostatic charge for power. An anti-microbial, self-cleaning inner lining keeps the suit sterile and dry for long missions. The skin-contact layer is slightly pressurized, encouraging sweat & mist to wick outward naturally into the absorption network. This maintains a stable microclimate against the skin, preventing discomfort or pruney skin from long-term use.

    • Spinal interface acts as a load-bearing conduit, reducing strain on the spine during high-G maneuvers or rapid vector changes. It aids in reinforcing spine and core musculature, improving strength, stability, and endurance. The device contains reactive polymers and nano-hydraulics that additionally enhance sprinting, climbing, wall-running, and sustained high-speed pursuit. The interface is linked to the user via the Ghost Link, ensuring a direct neural connection which effectively allows the interface to prime itself for movement almost before the wearer is fully conscious of it.

  • Velocity Redline: The Slipstream Zero is designed to enhance its wearer’s physical capabilities. Although it offers only a moderate augmentation to strength, its main function is in lowering the energy cost for physical exertions (namely running, sprinting, climbing, wall-running, etc.) and allowing for markedly increased stamina. In addition, the Ghost Link allows the wearer to control virtually all of the suit's functions and attached subsystems via mental command. This system provides further mental enhancement via the suit itself, which heightens and accelerates the user’s thought processes by supplementing them with processing power from the onboard computer. Thus, the suit enhances the user both physically and mentally.
  • Skin Shield: In spite of its predominantly skintight construction, the Slipstream Zero offers excellent resistance to energy and kinetic weapons, in addition to a high resistance to directed heat attacks. Estrian-ostrine composite armorweave, gammaplast armor padding, the miniaturized intrinsic shield array, and other systems all work together to lend the wearer excellent protection against these common battlefield threats.
  • Mind Shield: A Force shield integrated into the helmet provides excellent resistance against mental attacks, protecting the integrity of the mind against mentalism and other forms of Force intrusion.
  • Low Profile: The bodysuit has a greatly-diminished observation profile owing to its camouflage and polymer coatings, while the D-baffling system renders it nearly dead silent. Both of these systems lower the overall signature, but they do not offer true stealth capability or invisibility. Instead, they serve to make the suit and its wearer more difficult to distinguish from the surrounding environment, harder to track, and less readily detectable.
  • Spine Surge: Achieved via energized and reactive polymer materials incorporated into the suit and an exoskeletal spinal interface, the Slipstream Zero gives the wearer a twofold strength enhancement. In addition, the Ghost Link allows her to control virtually all of the suit's functions and attached subsystems via mental command. The Ghost Link provides further mental enhancement via the suit itself, which heightens and accelerates the user’s thought processes by supplementing them with processing power from the onboard computers. Thus, the suit enhances the user both physically and mentally.
  • Storm Chaser: The Slipstream Zero is EMP-hardened and ion-reinforced, ensuring that its systems retain their integrity and functionality even during conditions of heavy ionized and electromagnetic interference.
QF94b2S.png

  • Acerbic Affliction: Unfortunately, acid weapons are very effective at eating through the bodysuit’s protective material to harm the wearer directly, potentially inflicting a host of dangerous effects.
  • Tensor: While optimized to mitigate damage from most forms of energy-based assaults, tensor weapons are indeed the exception. In firing compressed tractor beam waves, they can bypass most of the bodysuit’s defenses and affect the wearer’s body at a cellular level, with the potential to cause severe injury.
  • Shield Projector Fragility: The Slipstream Zero is a high-tech bodysuit that depends in large part on its electronics for its defensive prowess. Thus, should its electronics be overloaded, disabled, or impaired, the suit’s ability to protect the wearer will suffer in turn. In such a case, the miniaturized intrinsic shield array might suffer malfunction. Since this system is a linchpin to the bodysuit’s resistance against disruptors (the protective material by itself is unable to adequately defend against this weapon type as solid materials can not be proofed against disruptors), these weapons will likely pose an especially mortal threat to the wearer in the event of system failure.
  • Surface Damage: While the bodysuit’s equipped Dream Sight has an extremely advanced surface-integrated passive reception array, any direct damage to the surface may diminish the effectiveness of the system due to the destruction of a number of passive micro-sensors. This can result in blind spots in the passive reception array.
  • Deep Freeze: While the suit is rated to protect the wearer from all environments (including arctic planets the likes of Hoth and Ilum), it unfortunately does not grade well in terms of defense against cold-based weaponry. That is to say that the biting, freezing power of cryogenic weapon systems is far more penetrating than that presented by cold environments. Thus, the wearer must rely on other means of protection should she come to face these weapons.

Designed by First United Astral Engineering (with input from the Vorrik Armatech subsidiary of Malsheem Hypernautics and Manufacturing), the Slipstream Zero Exoskin Mk. I is a limited production combat exoskin designed for the exclusive use of Pursuit Zeros. Synergizing with the hyperaugmented Pursuit Zero physiology, the Slipstream Zero is designed to enhance mobility, endurance, survivability, utility, low-observability, and lethality while supporting the high-speed combat style that Pursuit Zeros are optimized for. To this end, First United Astral Engineering developed a number of new systems for the bodysuit, designed to enhance mobility and thermal regulation.

The most notable and important of these systems is the thermal regulation system, which can recycle and repurpose the wearer’s body heat, ensuring optimal thermal balance even in extreme conditions. The other is the dynamic traction node array, which was developed to ensure that rough and complex terrain does not impede high-speed movement. Utilizing programmable matter traction grip nodes, these units automatically shift their texture based on the terrain, optimizing grip and traction.

All in all, the Slipstream Zero is essentially an intelligent second skin, allowing Pursuit Zeros to maintain peak sprinting speed for longer and press the chase against the enemies of the Sith Dyarchy!

A precision instrument in a world that no longer tolerates imprecision, the ARX-16 "Shrike" is a hybrid marksman platform engineered not for flexibility, but for judgment.

Designed in the polar shadows of the Black Vault Annex on Mygeeto, the Shrike was never intended to see mass deployment. It was made for those few Legion operatives trusted to think independently—to move ahead of the line, evaluate the threat landscape, and make irreversible decisions at range.

Unlike standard plasma rifles, the Shrike's hybrid coil-launch system fires magnetically sheathed plasma slugs at such high velocity that kinetic and thermal energy converge at impact. The result is rarely survivable. A single shot can disable relay nodes, breach composite plating, or remove key targets from the tactical equation entirely—without alerting nearby sensors, thanks to its integrated heat-dump architecture.

Every component is mission-coded and overengineered: adaptive optics tuned for drone relay feeds, self-calibrating rails, neural uplink triggers, smart suppressors, corrosive-sealed mounts. The Shrike is not pretty. It is not forgiving. It is not replaceable. But in the right hands, it is the end of uncertainty.

In Legion doctrine, Shrike-wielders are referred to as Judges—not snipers, not marksmen, not support. They do not suppress. They terminate.
