SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Molecular Disruptor Mirror Cells - Molecular disruptor mirror cells are utilized in a system of folding (or retracting) mirrors that compress and shrink select parts of a piece of equipment. This downsizes them, allowing them to be contained within a relatively tiny space.
  • De-Icing System
  • Environment Sealing - The entire system is completely sealed, preventing things like dust, dirt, grime, mud, and other particulates from clogging the system.
STRENGTHS
  • Portable - The collapsing mirrors swiftly and easily compresses a weapon or piece of equipment into a smaller and lighter form, allowing it to be more easily stowed and transported.
WEAKNESSES
  • Quickdraw - Since a weapon (or piece of equipment) can not be used while compressed, the process of unfolding a weapon adds roughly a half-second to a second to the time that it takes to ready it to fire after being stowed. This has negative implications for quickdraws and surprise attacks from melee weapon-wielding opponents (who may have that much more time to close the distance).
DESCRIPTION
With First United Astral Engineering’s continued work in researching molecular disruptor technology, the first and perhaps most obvious application was making things smaller so that they could be more readily transported. Enter the FAE/U-06 Collapsing Mirrors—a system designed around molecular disruptor mirror cells that fold or retract to shrink select parts of a piece of equipment. This has the effect of allowing that equipment to be readily folded for transport. In the field, this system makes it easier for soldiers to carry large, heavy weapons, as the weight only becomes a factor once the weapon is being used.

All in all, the FAE/U-06 Collapsing Mirrors are an innovation that First United Astral Engineering hopes to roll out across its range of technologies, in the hopes of considerably lightening the load on the company and their customers.
