GRAVITIC INTERDICTION • AREA CONTROL
- Waylock Gravitic Interdiction Array — a standalone modern gravitic interdiction system descended conceptually from the ancient Predator Interdiction Drive.
- Multiple station-mounted gravitic projectors may generate overlapping interdiction zones around Lanternhold.
- Active fields interfere with hyperspace entry and departure within affected areas.
- The gravitic distortion also impedes conventional maneuvering, making vessels within stronger portions of the field increasingly sluggish.
- The projector network can operate in selected sectors rather than requiring a single omnidirectional field, allowing Lanternhold to establish controlled approach corridors.
- Authorized traffic is not inherently immune to the field. Safe routes are created by reducing, redirecting, or temporarily deactivating specific projector sectors.
- The array may be used with Shereshir tractor/pressor projectors to slow, contain, and recover crippled or hostile vessels.
- Sustained high-output operation places exceptional demand upon Lanternhold's reactor grid and produces substantial thermal load.
- Individual emitters may be damaged or destroyed, potentially creating gaps within the interdiction envelope.
- The gravitic emissions are readily detectable while the system is operating.
- Standalone Factory submission to be linked here upon approval.
INTERNAL TRANSIT • LOGISTICS
- Aryarir-Class Internal Transit Monorail.
- Separate public, military, medical, emergency, and freight lines.
- Secured freight arteries connecting Aegis Yards, cargo depots, medical stores, agricultural sectors, barracks, and the civilian concourse.

I • COMMAND CORE
Lanternhold's innermost district contains central command, strategic operations, fleet coordination, station administration, communications control, emergency command facilities, intelligence coordination, and the station's most protected computer infrastructure.
Independent atmosphere, emergency power, communications, shielding, and secured transit permit the Command Core to continue operating when outer districts have been isolated.
II • SECURITY CORE
Ring II houses security command, station surveillance, crisis-response coordination, restricted transit control, rapid-response personnel, armories, evidence storage, detention processing, and lockdown management.
The Ka'ra'mircin detention complex occupies protected portions of this ring alongside containment fields, Universal Energy Cages, reinforced detention chambers, interrogation rooms, medical observation areas, and secured prisoner-transfer corridors.
III • ASSEMBLY RING
The political heart of Lanternhold surrounds the
Hall of Stewards, the primary Assembly chamber of the Farworlds Alliance.
The ring contains delegation chambers, private conference rooms, translation facilities, representative offices, administrative suites, protected witness accommodations, diplomatic galleries, secure communications facilities, and limited public observation areas.
The Hall of Stewards serves as the setting for petitions, Alliance Assemblies, diplomatic hearings, charter discussions, emergency sessions, testimony, intervention debates, and reconstruction deliberations.
IV • HAVEN
Haven forms Lanternhold's principal protected residential district for visiting diplomats, Alliance representatives, Jedi, military specialists, civilian guests, witnesses, refugees, displaced families, and long-term visitors.
Private suites, diplomatic apartments, lounges, dining areas, family rooms, quiet spaces, and communal accommodations are arranged more like a protected neighborhood than a barracks.
V • SICK BAY & RECOVERY
Ring V forms the station's principal medical district.
Its facilities include trauma centers, surgical theaters, automated modular medical bays, bacta tanks, surgical pods, hyperbaric chambers, quarantine spaces, decontamination facilities, long-term care rooms, rehabilitation centers, psychological-recovery spaces, medical observation, and sensory-deprivation chambers.
The district is capable of treating both military casualties and large civilian influxes during disaster-response or humanitarian operations.
VI • BARRACKS & TRAINING
The military residential district contains barracks, officer quarters, modular personnel accommodations, combat chambers, briefing rooms, equipment storage, unit preparation areas, holodecks, simulated battlefield environments, gymnasiums, pools, showers, and recreation areas.
Personnel from several Alliance fleets may maintain separate unit identities while sharing Lanternhold's broader facilities.
VII • BEACON CONCOURSE & BIODOMES
The
Beacon Concourse is Lanternhold's principal civilian and communal district.
Restaurants, food halls, shops, public services, observation decks, meeting spaces, communications terminals, recreation areas, and visitor services occupy the central concourse.
Beyond it are extensive biodomes and controlled agricultural chambers housing the Verdant Relief Agroplex network, hydroponics, orchards, aquaculture, seedbanks, medicinal gardens, food-processing areas, water reclamation systems, and protected ecological reserves.
The district serves simultaneously as food infrastructure, humanitarian support, civilian respite, and a living reserve for plants intended for Alliance reconstruction efforts.
VIII • HARBORLIGHT CUSTOMS & ENTRY SECURITY
Harborlight Customs separates Lanternhold's public and protected interiors from its docks.
The
Harborlight Customs Arches conduct identity verification, biometric screening, weapons detection, cargo inspection, quarantine assessment, diplomatic clearance, manifest review, and visitor registration.
The fortified
Lantern Gates control movement between major security zones.
Blast doors, Turadium-reinforced barriers, laser gates, force fields, Blaster Neutralizers, Morut'yc security systems, decontamination equipment, security droids, and D.O.C.K.-linked landing controls protect the station's primary approaches.
IX • AEGIS YARDS
The outermost district contains Lanternhold's naval construction, repair, docking, maintenance, and logistics infrastructure.
Aegis Yards contains six external fleet piers, twelve principal hangar blocks, dry docks, repair bays, refueling stations, cargo handling, ordnance transfer, fighter servicing, fleet resupply, fabrication complexes, material-reclamation systems, engineering workshops, tug operations, and modular reconstruction facilities.
The yards also carry some of the station's densest external defensive infrastructure, including point-defense weapons, countermeasure systems, shield generators, tractor/pressor projectors, and portions of the Waylock Interdiction Array.

- Waylock Gravitic Interdiction Array — distributed gravitic area-control network protecting Lanternhold and its surrounding fleet anchorage.
- Fortress Anchorage: Lanternhold combines heavy armor, distributed shielding, layered point defense, armored compartments, countermeasures, and controlled approaches into a difficult fixed position to assault.
- Layered Security: Dock controls, customs, biometric screening, Lantern Gates, physical barriers, cyber defenses, security droids, surveillance, containment systems, and protected transit corridors force intruders through multiple security layers before reaching critical districts.
- Electronic Fortress: Dedicated electronic-warfare suites, anti-slicing architecture, isolated control networks, intrusion countermeasures, and physical interface protection make Lanternhold difficult to compromise through electronic attack alone.
- Fleet Support: Six fleet piers, twelve hangar blocks, repair facilities, refueling, ordnance handling, maintenance droids, fabrication infrastructure, tugs, tractor systems, and extensive logistics support several Alliance formations simultaneously.
- Area Denial: The Waylock Gravitic Interdiction Array can interfere with hyperspace travel and slow vessels within selected approach sectors, making rapid strikes and equally rapid retreats considerably more difficult.
- Redundant Infrastructure: Distributed reactors, shield districts, compartmentalized life support, backup deflectors, emergency reserves, multiple medical centers, and separated agricultural facilities prevent one localized failure from automatically disabling the entire station.
- Damage Control: Combat De-ionizers, automated damage-control systems, animated metal sealant, repair droids, redundant power distribution, and extensive fabrication facilities allow Lanternhold to stabilize and repair damage efficiently.
- Deep Sensor Coverage: Advanced sensor, targeting, communications, warning, and command systems make Lanternhold effective as a regional observation and fleet-coordination hub.
- Humanitarian Capacity: Haven, Sick Bay, decontamination infrastructure, medical facilities, agricultural districts, civilian quarters, and relief logistics allow Lanternhold to receive large displaced populations or disaster casualties.
- Food Security: Verdant Relief and independent Ka'ra'vhetin facilities provide agricultural redundancy, preserved seed stocks, aquaculture, water reclamation, and ongoing food production.
- Hard to Cripple Cleanly: Loss of one pier, ring sector, shield district, reactor, transit artery, hangar, or engineering block does not automatically incapacitate the rest of Lanternhold.
- Immobile: Lanternhold possesses no meaningful sublight propulsion or hyperdrive. It cannot withdraw from an approaching threat or reposition itself when the strategic situation turns against it.
- Impossible to Hide: A station almost five kilometers in length, supporting military fleets, civilian traffic, heavy communications, yards, reactors, and agriculture is an unmistakable strategic target.
- Logistical Appetite: Lanternhold consumes enormous quantities of fuel, spare parts, industrial feedstock, medical supplies, ordnance, replacement components, food, and specialist labor.
- Civilian Lives Aboard: Refugees, patients, families, diplomats, visitors, workers, and other noncombatants complicate defensive operations and evacuation decisions during major attacks.
- Complexity: Lanternhold's distributed shields, cyber networks, reactors, life-support systems, agricultural sectors, transit routes, yards, medical districts, and security zones require constant maintenance and large numbers of trained specialists.
- Transit Chokepoints: Destruction or sabotage of monorail junctions, freight arteries, pressure barriers, elevators, or access nodes can isolate otherwise functional station sections.
- Power Hungry: Heavy shields, weapons, shipyards, sensors, life support, agriculture, medical infrastructure, fabrication equipment, electronic warfare, and interdiction systems impose immense demands upon the reactor grid.
- Waylock Power Drain: Sustained gravitic interdiction consumes exceptional power and produces significant thermal stress. Lanternhold may be forced to reduce other high-consumption systems during prolonged maximum-output use.
- Waylock Friendly Interference: Alliance vessels are not magically immune to active gravitic distortion. Safe lanes require Lanternhold to shape, reduce, or temporarily disable sections of the field, potentially creating exploitable openings.
- Emitter Vulnerability: The Waylock network depends upon distributed external projectors. Destroying enough emitters may weaken sections of the interdiction envelope or open a corridor through it.
- Electronic Warfare Gives Away the Game: Heavy active jamming and gravitic interdiction produce obvious emissions. When Lanternhold begins aggressively disrupting an area, hostile forces have little difficulty recognizing that the station is doing so.
- Exposed Yards: Hangars, fleet piers, dry docks, tractor systems, and repair infrastructure occupy the outer portions of Lanternhold and remain more vulnerable than its protected inner rings.
- Not a Pursuit Weapon: Lanternhold can dominate the space immediately surrounding it, but it cannot chase a force that remains beyond its defensive and interdiction envelope.
Lanternhold was conceived as something broader than a battlestation.
It is the place the fleets return to.
The immense station serves the Farworlds Alliance as a fortified anchorage, Assembly seat, diplomatic harbor, naval yard, medical refuge, logistics center, civilian port, and emergency sanctuary. Its nine principal rings are arranged so that arrival begins at the loudest, most industrial edge of the station and proceeds inward through increasingly controlled districts.
Ships first encounter Lanternhold through the Aegis Yards and its six great fleet piers.
Tug craft crawl between larger hulls while repair droids disappear into maintenance cavities. Damaged ships are caught by tractor beams and guided toward waiting berths. Cargo is stripped from freighters and routed toward warehouses, fabrication centers, medical stores, agricultural sectors, or waiting Alliance vessels. Molecular furnaces break damaged material down for reuse while prototypers, nanoforges, and conventional workshops manufacture replacement components.
Fighters vanish through armored hangar mouths. Fueling crews move beneath them. Ordnance handlers follow protected routes between magazines and waiting vessels.
Farther inward, Harborlight Customs separates the industrial station from its inhabited interior.
Visitors pass beneath scanners and through guarded Lantern Gates before reaching the Beacon Concourse, Haven, Sick Bay, military barracks, and the Assembly districts beyond. Access narrows with every successive layer until only authorized personnel may continue toward the Security Core and Command Core.
The architecture is deliberate.
Lanternhold does not rely upon one shield, one reactor, one computer network, or one command room to survive.
Caritr shield districts operate independently. Backup deflectors protect critical locations when primary shielding fails. Blast doors and Aegis Bulkheads may seal damaged compartments. Medical wards retain emergency power and atmosphere. Separate agricultural systems preserve food production when one biodome must be isolated. Independent transit lines allow troops, casualties, and supplies to bypass civilian spaces.
Even the station's electronic defenses are layered. Physical interfaces are protected behind Socketguards; secure networks employ Pyrowalls, Echo Pulse systems, and Rapid Repetition Defense Measures. Critical systems can be isolated from Lanternhold's broader data architecture rather than allowing one successful intrusion to reach every section of the station.
Beyond its armor lies another layer of defense.
The Waylock Gravitic Interdiction Array surrounds Lanternhold with a distributed network of gravitic projectors descended in concept from much older interdiction technology. Instead of relying upon one immense gravity well, Waylock projectors can overlap or concentrate their fields across selected sectors surrounding the station.
At combat strength, the resulting distortion interferes with hyperspace transitions and burdens the maneuvering of vessels already caught inside it.
The system does not distinguish friend from foe through convenience. Alliance traffic moves through routes deliberately opened or weakened by Lanternhold's controllers. In a siege, those same lanes may close.
A vessel trapped within an active Waylock sector may find itself slowed long enough for defensive fighters, ion batteries, or Shereshir tractor projectors to acquire it.
The array is powerful, but costly. Prolonged use consumes vast amounts of power, strains thermal systems, disrupts ordinary traffic, and announces Lanternhold's activity through intense gravitic emissions. Its externally mounted projectors can also be attacked individually.
These limitations are intentional.
Lanternhold was not designed to effortlessly dominate a system.
It was designed to make taking the ground around it expensive.
Yet behind all of those defenses, Lanternhold is not entirely a fortress.
The Beacon Concourse opens into gardens, restaurants, communal spaces, observation galleries, and broad public walkways. Verdant Relief installations spread through protected biodomes where vegetables climb beneath artificial light, orchard branches bow over maintained paths, fish move beneath aquaculture platforms, medicinal plants grow in controlled beds, and preserved seed stocks wait behind climate-controlled doors.
Haven provides visiting families, protected witnesses, refugees, and diplomats with rooms intended for living rather than merely sleeping.
Sick Bay was built to receive wounded pilots and civilians from shattered settlements with equal urgency. Bacta tanks stand beside surgical pods and rehabilitation wards. Quarantine chambers and ionic decontamination stations allow Lanternhold to receive survivors from environments too dangerous to enter the general population immediately.
The Hall of Stewards gives worlds somewhere to stand before the Alliance and speak before fleets are sent anywhere at all.
That dual purpose defines Lanternhold.
It carries enough armor to survive war because it contains things worth protecting.
Its guns overlook shipyards, hospitals, gardens, meeting halls, barracks, homes, and crowded docks. Its shields shelter soldiers beside mechanics, healers, diplomats, children, refugees, pilots, farmers, and travelers.
Lanternhold cannot run.
It was never meant to.
It was built to hold.
