TECHNICAL INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Ion Charge Failsafe: Unauthorized attempts to access the droid's memory will trigger a failsafe ion charge, frying the droid's circuits and deleting the data on it.
STRENGTHS
  • Data Link: Like the company's Gar'gotabor droids, Vhe'viin droids in the same proximity as one share data via a short ranged encrypted comms frequency to enable them to better coordinate with one another on tasks, whether it be assisting in the manufacturing process of a new corvette or hunting down intruders. This datalink can also link to a ship's computer to access diagnostic information.
  • Repair Database: Like the Gar'gotabor, the Vhe'viin can be programmed with a repair database, giving it an enhanced understanding of the ships/vehicles/installation(s) it is expected to maintain allowing it to come to a better conclusion about what might be required for a particular repair job.
  • Intelligent: While inspired by the H-1ME Battle Mechanic, the Vhe'viin is far more intelligent, and shares much of the same processing capabilities as the larger Gar'gotabor. As such, a Vhe'viin can be expected to able to understand complex instructions and make educated decisions based around data it has access to. Of course, leaving the droid with no oversight at all in every case might be a poor decision.
  • Small: The droid's size enables it to be used on smaller vessels such as light freighters and starfighters, as well as enabling it to make use of smaller maintenance passageways on larger ships.
WEAKNESSES
  • Elements: While designed to handle the extreme temperatures of the void around starships, closer exposure to extreme heat and extreme cold such as from cryoban or incendiary weapons can severely damage the droids.
  • Acid: Given that acid is something that Breshig War Forge Consolidated considered the droid having to deal with, the Vhe'viin has no protection against it aside from however long said acid would take to corrode it's duranium frame.
  • Droid: Even with a combat de-ionizer, a powerful enough or sustained ion damage will eventually overwhelm the small droid and fry its circuits like a protato.
DESCRIPTION
While the Gar'gotabor was a successful design, Breshig War Forge Consolidated was keen on having a droid that was manufactured in house for their smaller craft that had similar capabilities to the larger Gar'gotabor. The design team had managed to attract the attention of Shuklaar, who'd heard of how they'd managed to develop a droid that was just about as capable as the Gar'gotabor, but was far smaller and considerably cheaper. The droids had a tendency to skitter around when idle, and were hence dubbed 'Vhe'viin' by the team, a name Shuklaar agreed with. The droid was officially designated the 'Vhe'viin' and put into production.

The Vhe'viin's variety of sensors and tools packed into its tiny frame enable it to address a variety of maintenance issues. Given the same memory and processor as the larger Gar'gotabor as well as the datalink, Vhe'viin droids can intelligently think through a problem and coordinate with other Vhe'viin or Gar'gotabor droids on its solution, and be programmed with a repair database of starships/stations/vehicles they can be expected to work on to increase their efficiency. Of course, being smaller, they can work on a number of craft that simply can't house a Gar'gotabor due to the larger droid's size. As an added bonus, the benign appearance of the Vhe'viin was far popular with certain customers.
