STRENGTHS

• Mythos Cloak: The Ka'yatr is the center of any Mythos Fleet. It is designed to dominate the battlefield not through force but through darkening sensors and silencing enemy communications. It plays a central role in the naval doctrine of the Iron Covenant by blacking out star systems on arrival, allowing the Mythos Fleet to strike and retreat before their enemy is made aware.
• Iron Armored: The Ka'yatr is extremely well-defended with a resilient construction and extensive defensive systems to protect itself against all incoming damage and attempts at sabotage.

WEAKNESSES

• Escort-Reliant: The Ka'yatr-class is designed to be the heart of a large fleet. Production rarity increases its value, and conversely, the logistical nightmare of the potential loss of any ship. The suppression cruiser depends on an extensive escort to keep it insulated from any chance of damage.
• Firepower: The Ka'yatr-class has underwhelming firepower for its size and is not optimized for conventional ship-to-ship engagements.

DESCRIPTION
The Ka'yatr-class Suppression Cruiser is the Iron Covenant's first modern addition to its Mythos Fleet and is the first new class of warship produced by Kestri Hypernautics after its reconstitution under the new Mandalorian Faction. Kestri Hypernautics repurposed old Bes'drahr-class Heavy Cruiser hulls to create the ship, extensively retrofitting and gutting the former's mechanics to create a state-of-the-art electronics warfare cruiser to serve its purpose at the heart of the Mythos Fleet.

The cruiser's primary EWAR capabilities give it complete dominance over all wavelengths, from radio to microwave to low-energy subspace transmissions, up to hyperwave frequencies. Its siege array and system jammer suite give it the capability to completely dominate the electronics warfare theater of war. In effect, the Ka'yatr-class can blanket a star system in static, wiping it from the holonet, or hijack into all transmission frequencies, allowing Mandalorians to transmit counter-frequencies and disrupt enemy communications, while to a casual observer, nothing would appear to be the matter.

The Ka'yatr is designed to control the battlefield, in space and planetside, giving its fleet the upper hand to strike quickly and decisively before the enemy can cohesively respond. It lacks a substantial offensive armament or fighter complement; indeed, on its own, it is rather lackluster in ship-to-ship combat. It is designed to be protected by the fleet that it in turn augments, which it does to great effect.
