HORDE OF THE THREE WARLORDS
OLOGUREN INVASION OF SUMP

Location: Impoverished World of Sump,
Outer Rim Territories, Koradin Sector
Sump System

The World of Sump, the only planet within the sump system. Small settlements dot the landscape with the largest being the Settlement of Nuken and filled to the brim with toxic swampland and marshes that is uninhabitable. Located in the Outer Rim Territories within the Koradin Sector, and functioning as a trade world along the Lipsec Run. Home to the Nuknogs species who sold their planet to a consortium of mining corporations in exchange for food, employment, and modest accommodations. The Nuknong species worked without pay in mines and processing factories, performing tasks deemed too hazardous for offworld personal. Overtime the world became contaminated by pollution and many nuknogs were killed in mining accidents. During these mining accidents, the discovery of Ologuren Spores promoted the corporations to throw them into the toxic marshes where they were presumed to perish. Sump was eventually freed from the corporations that ruled it by the Galactic Republic of Old. While peace was restored to the planet with the removal of the corporations, the ologuren spores quickly grew into full sized ologurens having adapted to the toxic swamplands and have figured out a way to be biologically immune to its harmful effects.

While the Nuknong Species was unaware, the ologurens organized themselves into warbands underneath the Leadership of 3 Warlords, each having established a settlement within the swamp with their warbands. They are beginning to launch an invasion from the toxic swamps to destroy the settlement of Nuken and enslave the inhabitants once again for livestock. The consequences of them establishing a powerbase within the region is well known to the intelligence agents that have been sent here ahead of time to inspect the progress of the Nuknong Species. Although why would anyone come to this place.

Galactic Threat!
The Ologuren Warhost is soon ready to descend from the toxic marshes to assault the settlement of Nukun. If the ologuren warhost manages to conquer the planet for themselves, they would have a stronghold in the region to assault the Shipping Lanes and start small raids against the Borders of the Eternal Empire. Although they lack the technology to build starships, some of them have gained enough intelligence to assemble a ramshackle fleet from the machinery left behind by the corporations that once exploited the local populace for labor. Intelligence Agents from the Bureau of Ships and Services have sent out an all call to anyone nearby to provide aid to the local population which are powerless against the overwhelming horde of the ologurens. If they manage to succeed then, they will be able to spread more and more ologuren warhost throughout the galaxy until they become an even greater danger to galactic security. The Bureau has dubbed the Massive Ologuren Warhost the Backstabber Murada because of their marauder like beliefs and the tendency to backstab one another. The Warhost will disrupt shipping and navigations routes that the bureau ensures the safety off and they cannot allow those routes to fall because it will affect galactic trade in the region.

The Three Warlords known as Krizsnark Bonestompa, Shagtak Skullsmasha and Ghenggarg Grobbogga each have different talents to bring to the fighting table and will be difficult to bring down, with Warlord Skullsmasha having the knowledge to build ramshackle technology to fight against vehicles and infantry units. Warlord Grobbogga has the most amount of troops due to rapid reproduction rate and has the greatest number of supplies. The final warlord, Bonestompa has the intelligence to unite the other warlords and their warbands into a brutal if effective fighting force.

Locations, Locations!
The Settlement of Nukun:
The Settlement of Nukun is a thriving town of the Nuknogs, having been used by the corporations that once ruled the planet. Although it is a settlement it lacks even the basic of defenses with the most that they have managed to build would be stone walls which will provide some sort of protection from the barbarians of the ologuren. Split into 3 levels with the highest level being the elder's abode, choke points are relativity available because of the tightness of the houses against one another. Forming narrow streets that lead up to the walls that divide the 3 levels into sub-sections.
The Toxic Marshes:
The Toxic Marshes cover a majority of the world of Sump. Although uninhabitable by the nuknog species with it being filled with poisonous plants and monsters, they have become host to an impressive amount of warbands of ologurens that have spawned from the spores that were thrown into the marshes by the corporations. The three major ologuren settlements have been built into fortresses that have their own lieutenants, with those settlements underneath the ultimate power of the warlords that occupy them. These settlements are built deep within the toxic marshes and will require time to reach them, time that the native species doesn't have on their side as the warhost is gathering to assault the settlement of Nukun for slaves and livestock to feast upon.
The Ramshackle Shipyard:
The Ramshackle Shipyard was built far to the north of the toxic marshes on the world. Constructed by the ologuren as a means to build a fleet from scrap material and technology left over by the corporations that once ruled. If the shipyard manages to remain operational, then the ologuren will have a fleet to send their warhost all around the region to enslave and conquer the species that reside there. Although it is surrounded by defenses and monsters that the ologuren have managed to tame.
Objectives for Story!
Objective One: Defense of Nukun
The Settlement of Nukun is currently trying to boost its puny defenses against the incoming horde of ologuren that is preparing to assault from the Toxic Marhses. Helping the defenders either through manpower or technology to sure up their defenses against the tide of brute strength that is going to be crashing into them soon. The Nuknog Species are not known to be fighters, so teaching them basic skills such as how to hold a rifle and accurately shoot will be paramount to putting up a defense.

Objective Two: Battles of the Marshes
The Toxic Marshes are filled to the brim with the savage if unintelligent norde of the Ologuren Warhost. Taking the fight to the ologuren before they can successfully unite themselves will be paramount to disrupting the assault on the Settlement of Nukun. Intelligence Reports provided by the Bureau of Ships and Services has indicated that the ologuren are being given a powerboost with so called "magic totems", taking out these totems is paramount if they are to be weakened on the battlefield. The main targets will be the ologuren settlements known as Gobash underneath the control of Warlord Ghenggarg Grobbogga, Garuk underneath the control of Warlord Shagtak Skullsmasha and finally the Fortress of Woe underneath the control of Warlord Krizsnark Bonestompa. Each of them have their own defenses and taking out the warlords will lessen the fighting strength of the ologuren all together if they manage to organize themselves into an attack force.

Objective Three: Ramshackle Shipyard
Far to the North of the Toxic Swamps is a ramshackle shipyard constructed by the ologuren. Normally the ologuren haven't been able to figure out how to make starships that are functional in space, keeping it that way is paramount before they learn how to build a ramshackle fleet that can raid the Eternal Empire's Borders or to interrupt shipping along the hyperspace lanes that provide much needed supplies to various planets. Taking out this ramshackle shipyard will be paramount to avoid both a fleet battle and them escaping from the system.

Objective Four: BYOO
Of course like any quest or faction event. You are free to do anything else that you wish to do.
Come and Join the Quest!

They had the potential to become a galactic terror the likes of the Bryn'adûl and the Vong before them.

The fact that the galaxy’s response was seemingly almost nonexistent, with the exception of the Eternal Empire, almost made the Chaplain angry. However, she remembered that the Jedi and their enablers had entirely ignored the marauding beasts up until they began to threaten their interests, in the process abandoning hundreds, perhaps even thousands of systems to be destroyed while they waged their pointless, unending war with the Sith. Worse yet, those systems in Wild Space were largely populated by nonhuman aliens, sapient creatures which had no links to one of humanity’s many evolutionary branches. The Pa’lowick of Lowick, the Glottalphib of Glottal, the crystal beings of Hurikan, and yet more, left to die by Jedi Orders led almost entirely by humans. While Alessandra knew that this theory of Jedi speciesism could not be confirmed by fact, it nevertheless lingered in her digital mind as a powerful suspicion, one that would ultimately make it easier for the HRD to kill them.

Nevertheless, setting those errant thoughts aside, Alessandra reset her focus on the mission. Utilizing the cover of the combined Eternal Empire-House Io combined assault force, the HRD was tasked with penetrating the settlement and assassinating Warlord Krizsnark Bonestompa. Having been identified as the unifying voice of the three warlords, if Bonestompa fell, there was a high chance that the Sump Horde would succumb to infighting as Warlord Skullsmasha and Warlord Grobbogga attempted to make their own claims to lead. Even if such an event did not transpire, removing Bonestompa was almost guaranteed to send his warband into disarray.

With the few hours she had to prepare for the mission, Alessandra had been briefed up and down on the conditions she could expect. Unfortunately, other than the intelligence pointing to Krizsnark Bonestompa as the unifying figure of the Sump Horde, they had very little to work with. Unlike the races of the Bryn'adûl Covenant, the Ologuren were still a mystery, but their brutality and savage, warlike design was clear.

Photoreceptors narrowed as she examined the Fortress of Woe in the distance, Alessandra glanced back to the Matriarch Consort as the sensor data came back from her drone. She had long since set aside her feelings of discomfort towards the Brain Demon Cult and by extension, its members. They would be a part of House Io for the foreseeable future, so long as yet more dire threats were extant in the galaxy. Instead, Alessandra focused on the enemies she could kill, such as Imperials, Jedi, and now, Ologuren.

“The way looks clear, Matriach Consort.” The HRD said, addressing the Assembly or the Battalion by her full title, in an almost-overly formal manner. “We have a small window, but we can make it past the walls.” She added.

The eternal empire had called upon those to help the planet of sump, a new threat had emerged on the planet and it was gearing to attack the rather defenseless natives, stardust was ask to aid and aid she would getting Intel on a high value target that lies deep within the toxic marshes of the planet

A long dropship screamed through the air, slowly down at the edge of the marshes probably mile and a half away, as the doors opened stardust hopped off alone as her face shield came up to block the toxic air from getting in. Stepping forward she began a casual pace towards the marshes before bringing out a data pad, seemed she needed to head to the settlement these ones called gobash, closing the pad she placed it away and started forward shoudl anyone join her she would not turn them away but hoped no one would stand in her way

It was unspoken, but everyone knew why out of all the Wolfguards and veteran Ultranauts here, Kal-Channa had been the one selected to lead the efforts to train the locals.

Indeed, the Nuknog were a diminutive people, possessing short, stubby legs that gave them a clumsy-looking, waddling gait. It went without saying that they were extremely unathletic, a poor species for war by almost any standard. While Kal-Channa matched them in height, she had much longer legs that afforded her a faster, more graceful gait than even the strongest of the stocky reptilian creatures, not to mention the fact that she was at the very peak of athleticism for a Bimm woman. And yet, she was the closest thing that the Wolfguards had to the Nuknogs, a fact which had initially irritated her while training the ones that had volunteered to help in the defense of their home. It turned out that being a special forces soldier wasn’t all glory and violence. More often than not, Kal-Channa found herself doing something like this, acting in the capacity of an advisor and a leader to those less capable than her, even if they thought otherwise due to her stature.

Fortunately, she did not suffer that problem with the Nuknugs.

“And one, two, three, annnd four! Again! One, two, three, annnd four! Relax those shoulders, Vek! Widen that stance, Buhar! Now, again!” Kal-Channa shouted. At her command, the villagers performed the kata drills with their issued vibrostaffs, weapons which had a long reach to compensate for their wielder’s diminished statures. Over the last week, she had taught the Nuknugs to go for the legs if engaged in melee and to use every inch their vibrostaffs’ reach. However, Kal-Channa knew that if it came to close combat, the Nuknogs had only a small chance of survival against the hulking Ologuren. Nevertheless, she had worked to train every facet of the combat skills that they might need to survive against the horde, including setting chokepoints, using explosives, shooting a blaster, and yet more.

While it was true that she did not fancy their chances in melee or hand-to-hand, the diminutive soldier was proud of the progress that many of the villagers had made. They learned faster than any regular army trooper and were far more determined.

Knowing that soon, likely within the next few hours, the horde would begin their assault, Kal-Channa felt more nervous than anything else. Their lives were her responsibility and if the Ultranauts and the Wolfguards failed to hold the forward lines, those in the village would be compelled to fight.

More than anything, she did not want the Nuknugs to die.

“Halt!” She said with stern finality, bringing the kata routine to an end as the villagers brought their vibrostaffs to rest, exactly the way she had taught them.

For a moment, the Wolfguard was at a loss for words.

“I-I…” She paused, refusing to show weakness. “This is all we have time for today.” Kal-Channa began. ”Get ready. Finish fortifying your homes, make any last arrangements for the evacuations, and be at the muster by two-thirty.”

Then, another pause.

“I’m proud of every single one of you. It hasn’t been easy and it won’t be easy, but you have all made me very happy with what you have accomplished. You have risen to every challenge and persisted, more so than any group of recruits I’ve trained.” She finished.

“Dismissed and may the Empress protect us.”

Deep within the Toxic Swamps of Sump would be the Fortress of Woe, a mighty ramshackle fortress constructed by the Ologuren Warlord Krizsnark Bonestompa, the most intelligent of the warlords and the unifying voice of the Horde of the Three Warlords. Built within a small valley deep within the toxic marshes, it was covered in scrap fortifications and huts built into the valley walls, held up by pillars cemented by slanting the natural bedrock of the valley into terrain that could support the weight of the small but well constructed houses of the ologuren warband. There were two entrances into the valley, the largest and well defended gates with a picture of the Ologuren Deity Mag-Kork hanging above it. Above the symbol of the ologuen deity would be a long walk way that connected one side of the settlement to another, one could spot a large amount of cannons upon the walkway itself. The ologuren having figured out how to construct metal cannons from the machinery left over by the mining corporations that once ruled the planet and exploited the natural species for labor. Small barrels of gunpower would be next to the cannons themselves, along with ammunition in the form of scrap cannon balls which unlike traditional cannon balls would be made up loose pieces of scrap hammered together and would explode upon impact, sending kinetic force and shrapnel into any potential enemy force. Common Ologuren Guardsman would be patrolling the walkway along with the gunnery variant of the ologuren responsible for raining down cannon fire upon those that tried to enter.

Within the fortress itself would be various defenses such has spikes and stakes that would funnel any enemy into chokepoints. The main force of the Ologuren Warband underneath the control of Warlord Krizsnark Bonestompa would be comprised of Common Ologuren, with a small force of Savage Ologuren. The main difference between the common ologuren and the savage ologuren would be the equipment that they had on hand, with the common being gifted with lower quality scrap armor and metal weaponry, while the savage ologuren would have proper scrap armor which protected them some from energy weaponry and kinetic weaponry such as a slugthrowers. The savage ologuren would come equipped with metal weaponries and gunpowder weaponry as well, in the form of rifles and hand cannons that while made by the same poor quality would allow them to fight better with more brute force than normal. Captains and Lieutenants could be separated from the common ilk because they had much more modern armor that came from the mining teams that once occupied the area. Along with one black pauldron, that made them stand out for termination by an outside force. Small scale industry was also happening as the trees would be throw into vast fire pits dug underneath the valley, the smoke rising from the settlement could be seen from a great distance away. One distinctive feature would be a large door built into the side of the valley as one flew over, that leading down into a cave tunnel that served as the residence of the Warlord of the Fortress of Woe, Krizsnark Bonestompa. Who currently was inside, resting upon his throne of stolen loot, protected by his small bodyguard regiment of savage ologuren.

The Settlement of Gobash was different from the Fortress of Woe and located in another area of the massive toxic marshes that covered the planet's landscape, being underneath the control of Ologuren Warlord Ghenggarg Grobbogga. Built in a more dry area of the toxic marshes the settlement was spread out among this area of dry land, lacking the more fortified walls and cannons that would defend them from any outside invaders. Warlord Grobbogga had the most number of troops among the horde of the three warlords, providing the backbone of the warhost with ranks of common ologuren, savage ologuren and even the larger and more deadly variant the greater ologuren which provided the muscles and walking siege engines. Although lacking the more fortified angle of the other settlements nearby, workshops and war engines could be seen from inside the settlement inside as smoke filled the atmosphere. Gearing up to invade the settlement of Nukun at dawn. These war engines would be built on tracks inside of using repulsorlift technology, which meant that ion technology wouldn't work upon them but the tracks could be blown off and the engines decommissioned for a while until common ologuren could repair them. Although these war engines were few in number due to a majority of the war engines belonging to Warlord Skullsmasha and his warband.

Patrols could be seen inside, wilding the same equipment as the fortress of woe. Metal weaponries and gunpowder weaponries as well. Although lacking the training of a unified modern force. The brute strength and savagery of the ologuren could stand up to even the mightiest modernized force. A few shamans could be seen within the ranks of the ologuren, having magic totems that increased the fighting strength of the ologuren warband and would make them more difficult to defeat. Although these magic totems were powerful, they could be destroyed by the enemy with reasonable effort due to be constructed with wood. Although if the totems are destroyed the savage ologurens will become enraged and fight with more vigor. The Warlord himself would be within a fortified hall within the settlement, with metal stakes all around the building itself meaning that one would have to climb on top of the roof and blast there way in or go through the entrance way which would be protected by the bodyguard savage ologuren. To the eastern edge of the settlement would be a vast training ground, where savage ologuren would boss around the common ologuren and get them into fighting shape to lay siege to the settlement of nukun. The spawning fields would also be nearby, where dead ologuren would be given over and there spores planted into the ground. Taking a little while until a battle ready ologuren was ready enough to begin training with weaponry.

Outside the Settlement of Nukun, a small attack force was being assembled filled with Chemilizard riders from the Warband underneath Warlord Skullsmasha. They were ready to strike, having hidden themselves in the dense marshes until an opportunity came for them to ride out and engage with the defenders. Having mounted hand cannons on the chemilizards they would be a mobile monster unit that could quickly test the enemy's defenses and smash through the walls of the settlement with enough brute force. "Dem, Natives are gonna get smashed." The Savage Ologuren captain spoke to his men in broken galactic standard basic, bringing up his war horn and letting loose a powerful blast of noise that could be heard from miles away. No doubt alerting those inside that an attack was imminent and that they should prepare themselves. Although the small attack force didn't descend from the marshes yet, due to them having to drive the wild chemilizard mounts forward into the battle itself.

[Objective - TBD]

The bridge was bustling with activity as officers and crewman alike ran off to finish preparations. Hi'los himself was at the head of the bridge, watching the planet with interest, donning his Aegis of the Watch armour, with his helmet at his side under his arm. "Captain, see to it that 2 companies of Ultranauts are transported to the Settlement of Nukun." He spoke towards the captain at his side.

"Will you be joining them, Field Marshal?"

"Indeed I will be, have another shuttle prepared for me."

"Yes, Field Marshal." The captain walked off, dishing out orders as he went. Finally some peace and quiet. With one final glance at the planet, Hi'los put on his helmet and made his way to the hanger.

As he entered the hanger, he saw fireteams forming up, ready for departure. Then suddenly over the intercom the captains voice boomed, "Companies 1 & 2, begin boarding transports and once planet side await further orders." Hi'los headed to his own shuttle, a guard stood outside the door. "Would you like an escort, Field Marshal?"

"No, I'm quite fine."

"Understood." The guard walked away as the Gen'Dai Field Marshal sat down in the shuttle.

"Pilot, take me to Nukun. Signal any forces planet side of our arrival."

"Of course, Field Marshal."
Hi'los glanced at his hip, comforted by the sight of his 2 Shroudsabers. The lightsabers of the Wardens of the Shroud.

Objective - lone siege on The Settlement of Gobash - encircle with fire

The area was dry, slight amount of dust kicked up from the lone warrior walking forward, though the trees provided great cover while she prowled closer and closer to the settlement which seemed oddly...open...stopping where she was she zoomed in on the settlement and began a assentment of it. The troops were plentiful here as Intel had suggested and it seemed like they had a training ground here as well, taking this place out would certainly provide a blow to the enemy. Glancing around she noticed the patrols were active not only that however it seemed they were amassing and that only meant one thing stardust knew well...preparation for a attack...staying still she opened a line

This is the Emerald Dragon, hostiles at the settlement of Gobash looks to be preparing to move, advise all positions to prepare defense. Going silent dragon out

With that silence returned, the settlement being spread out meant spreading the flames would be difficult, however if she struck hard in the place they were least prepared she could tear a path through them. The predator slid back into the shadows and began moving around heading for the training ground side like a shadow among the trees, sliding to a stop she crouched again and touched the ground, this attack needed to be brutal and sudden lest they fortify and make her job harder. Her sabers flew to her hands as she inhaled and exhaled as she stood up and pushed off with blinding speed! Fire began to form around her and soon engulfed her hiding her form and scorched the grass and trees in her path as she screamed towards the training grounds before she suddenly stopped and pushed her hands forward releasing a wave of fire over a good portion of the area before igniting her blades and let a challenging roar out towards the enemy before she would continue he ambush without pause

Let hem now see what they have brought upon themselves, they think their the apex predator, oh so wrong they are

Earlier, aboard The Leviathan of Sev Tok...

The Battalion had set up a shrine to the Dark Side within their shared quarters aboard the Leviathan of Sev Tok.

Xiphos found her kneeling in front of it, wearing her hooded red ritual Gown, clutching a rosary of synthetic crystals infused with the Dark Side. At the head of the Shrine was the gray statue of a naked female Togrutan with no face.

"Would you like to pray with us, our Love?" The Battalion asked...

"Is this your Unholy Spirit?" Xiphos asked.

"A representation of her, yes."

"Huh...um...Batty?"

"Yes, Our Love?"

"Why is it Togrutan in appearance?"

"The Brain Demon was originally a mortal..." The Battalion answered. "She was a naturally talented Magic User, who was found and trained by an early version of The Mandragora Witches. She desired more. She desired the hidden knowledge of the universe. Desired it's secrets, it's shadows. She did unholy things to herself with the aid of the Kolda-Bratha Calculus, and became a spirit like that which the Mandragora worshipped. For this, the elder spirits cast her and her followers from grace, wiping most of them out...but not before the remainder had scavenged the remains of T'sid Surt'r, murdered only days before by her own Master. Her remains were infused with magic and the Darkness, remaking her into Darth Phyre, the first true leader of the cult after The Brain Demon herself. She is both pleased and vexed by you at the same time."

"Oh?"

"Yes." The Battalion confirmed. "You give the Cult power, authority, and a planet, yet you will not actively embrace The Dark Side except in very small amounts. You confuse her...but she is still willing to listen to your prayers."

"I don't pray, Elaine. I do." Xiphos replied, but kneeled next to her anyway. If This Witch was to be her consort, it would not do to reject what she believed out of hand, especially since she was trying to turn not just her but those inside of her.

"Our Love, you disappoint us. Prayer is actually incredibly useful..." The Battalion mused. "How else are Gods to respect our works, our devotion, if we will not even speak to them?"

"I thought the Dark Side require you strive to be master of everything."

"The Dark Side offers freedom, power, and purpose. How is it not benevolent, ultimately?" The Battalion asked.

"Because the things I have often asked of you aren't benevolent."

The Battalion thought about this a moment.

"Okay..." she admitted. "You got me there...but if you're going to worship anything you may as well worship what enables you to truly resist the Jedi. By letting us in, it's all but a tacit admission that you know The Darkness can bring power, that you, more to the point, accept it on some level."

"I accept that there is Darkness in my heart. My disgust and loathing of the Jedi is proof of that. I even accept the value of what your cult brings. But as for...worship...I'm not built for that."

"Why not? This is a war of faith, between you and the Order..." The Battalion mused. "Not embracing that fact will lead to your faith being crushed. Besides, you've freely admitted to me that you've lapsed slightly on some of the teachings of Darth Themis..."

"I have a bad habit of dating Witches who've weaponized Multiple Personality Syndrome. It was kind of inevitable."

"Which reminds me...are you preparing yourself, mentally, to become a Force Spawn?"

"Yes." Xiphos answered.

"It's really not that bad. The more personalities you take in, the more powerful you get."

"And the greater the chance of being taken over."

The Battalion's pale visage twisted into a smile.

"If it's not rough...it isn't fun..." she trailed.

"I have a request."

"You want me to assist Alessandra."

"Your Goddess tell you that?"

"Among other things."

"Such as?"

"The Secret to Force Potency."

Xiphos's eyes widened in surprise. It was extremely rare to find practitioners of the ancient meditative forms. Only the most renowned masters were said to still know of them.

"Would you show me?" Xiphos asked.

"My Goddess will show you..." The Battalion answered. You need only speak to it. Pray."

Xiphos closed her eyes.

I have never prayed before. her spirit called out to The Brain Demon. I have no tongue for it. (The riddle of Steel: 700 XP.) But if you're as powerful as they say, then surely you know how Heretical I am. Surely you know what I want, and that I don't trust--

Xiphos blinked and she was no longer next to The Battalion, but in a white void. She wore a dark blue version of her normal, spiky biker leathers.

"--you..." she finished out of reflex.

At the center of that white void was The Brain Demon herself, her skin a dark purple. Curvy, voluptuous, nude but covered in ritual scars and sitting in a white throne. But missing a face.

To Xiphos's disquiet kneeling next to her was Maple, eyes rolled into the back of her head.

"Hello, Julia." It said in a rich, velvety feminine voice. "I was wondering when we would finally get to talk."

"What have you done to Maple?" Xiphos asked.

"I'm showing the manifold glories of embracing madness, making her better able to understand chaos. Better able to control it..." The Brain Demon answered. "I would do the same for you, if you were willing."

"We discuss nothing until you release Maple..." Xiphos snarled.

The Brain Demon let out a sigh.

"As you wish..." The Brain Demon replied, stroking Maple's face. Maple vanished into thin air.

"I released Maple in good faith. I require only one simple thing in return." The Brain Demon said. "Kneel to me."

Xiphos hesitantly got in one knee. The Brain Demon chuckled, rising from her throne.

"I really don't understand your hostility, you know..." it admitted. "We both want to give our employees only the best...I even let you use them. Amy-Phyre was so overjoyed when I gave the go-ahead."

"Why?" Xiphos asked. "Why did you give the go ahead?"

"Because I am not as rigid and morally inflexible as some other spirits might be. Hell, if anything, I'm one of the straightest shooting spirits you're likely to ever meet, even though I do advocate torture and murder, both as methods of pleasure and devotion. It's not even really all that different from the criminal fraternities you knew as a child."

"I can think of a couple of ways off the top of my head that it's different." Xiphos replied.

"Not when you get down to the raw mechanics of it..." The Brain Demon replied. "If I was some crime boss that you met in the Underworld, you'd think I was one of the most generous employers ever. Do I not treat my employees well?"

"I wonder what side you fall on where it comes to whether Amy or Phyre should lead your cult."

"One shall stand. One shall fall." The Brain Demon answered.

(Transformers Theme Plays for a few seconds.)

"In every workplace, competition is inevitable. In you...and Maple...I see the potential for greatness...and the old methods of The Sith bore me. This is an era of attacking from unexpected angles. The ways of those like Darth Solipsis have had their day. They have been given far too many chances and come up short every time."

"You don't have any issue with my practice?"

"I would greatly prefer you would embrace the Darkness. But the power and reach you provide my worshippers already makes you a valuable asset."

"I'm supposed to just believe you're a straight shooter?"

"No...but I did give you my worshippers resources. My worshippers sacrificed themselves to your cause. Doesn't that make me, at the very least, an ally?"

"For now." Xiphos answered.

"Ah. You aware we are using each other. Good." The Brain Demon hissed, teleporting next to her.

"I would offer a blessing, child. And a promise. So long as you never try to betray this cult, I shall grant you occasional favors. Secrets. You don't have to worship me...unless you want more. For that is the only way you shall get more."

The Brain Demon stroked her face affectionately and Xiphos shivered openly in disgust.

"What's the blessing?"

"The knowledge of Force Potency."

Xiphos felt a hand clasp her shoulder. Xiphos turned, spotting one of the many witches living inside her consort, a dark skinned woman with raven hair in a ponytail and sulphur eyes, in The Battalion's hooded red gown.

"Don't be afraid..." The Assembly encouraged.

Xiphos turned to the Brain Demon.

"Show me..."

"As you wish..."

Xiphos blinked, and was floored by the knowledge that flooded her mind in the Force Form...

"Julia?" The Assembly asked, in The Battalion's place, having taken control of the body. She too processed the gift from the Brain Demon, her flesh shuddering...

(Fallen Order Upgrade Sound Plays)

(The Battalion and Laertia have learned a new technique!)

Technique: FORCE POTENCY

One of the ancient Force Based combat forms, often practiced by highly skilled Consulars. Enhances the Potency of all Force Attacks by double, at the cost of draining the user of energy twice as fast. As skill grows, potency can be increased

(Force Bond with Darth Xiphos has strengthened.)

"I'm fine..." Xiphos said, standing up, deeply shaken by what she had just experienced.

"Lucinda...I need to be alone now... would you go and help Alessandra crush the Olugeren?"

The Assembly smiled.

"Such a powerful Goddess I worship, no?" The witch asked.

Xiphos didn't reply. The Witch smiled more.

"You know it to be true..." The Assembly gloated. "Think on that...about the opportunity it provides."

The Assembly departed, removing her ritual gown and slipping on The Battalion's Catsuit, equipping her weapons.

Present:

Xiphos was testing a new batch of Droids, and curiously, they were not classed as Nuetralizers. They were built as the House's mercenary units. Heavily modified B1 units, with dark blue and black coloring, all armed with Sonic Disruptor Rifles.

Like nearly any Droid Xiphos built, they were fully sapient. The Model 2's had been sent to evaluate their effectiveness...and kill people.

"Looks like some rough riding..." The Model 2 Unit known as Gary said, watching with enhanced vision at the fortress. "Feths ain't playing around."

The Assembly heard Alessandra's assertion.

"Then we move forward, we send the Mercenary Units..." The Assembly replied, drawing her purple shotos, Electrum plated hilts spitting out needle like violet Lightsaber blades.

"We're ready!" the heavily modded B1's said.

"Let's shoot these A-holes!" one of them said.

"You think The Matriarch will let us keep the sweet loot?" another asked.

"LOOT! LOOT! LOOT!" The House Io Mercenary Units begged. "WE MUST HAVE THE LOOT. THE SWEET LOOT IS OURS!"

"Indeed it is, Little Guys!" Gary replied jovially.

"Loot! Pillage and loot!" one of the B1's said. "I'll knife all those Motherfethers for loot."

"Wow... that's...pretty hardcore..." Gary admitted.

"I'll wear their skin like a whacked out Psychopath!" another of the Mercenaries proclaimed.

The Assembly had to admit, they were kind of growing on her. But she was thankful she had cast a spell of silencing so their voices wouldn't carry beyond a certain radius.

"That's the spirit. Keep that attitude, Little Guys!" Gary said.

The Mercenary Units preceded forward through the marshes on the dryest parts... trying to reach the wall...

She admired the enthusiasm of her new brothers. The Mercenaries were a new design derived from the ancient B1 chassis, yet were far more capable and intelligent than their predecessors. While their desire for loot was a strong motivator, Alessandra fell into her role as priestess and nurturer of the flock, pouring gasoline over the burning fires of their will.

“Brothers, take heed! We are here today at the behest of the galaxy! While there is opportunity for us to gain from this endeavor, we fight not only for loot, but to put down a threat to civilization! Make no mistake, these Ologuren are just as fearsome as any Draelvasier or Bryn'adûl monster, but our house, our family has grown strong and learned since those dark days. We know now that we must be proactive in stamping out any threat to the galaxy, for the Jedi and their ilk will let it simmer so long as it does not interfere with their juvenile crusades!” She delivered, albeit with a short, contemplative pause. “I will warn you, brothers…we will achieve victory here today!” The Chaplain cried out. “But, it will be thankless.” She hissed. “Few will acknowledge the trillions of lives we’ve saved in stamping out these insects before they become an infestation! They will not appreciate the work that will be done here by heroes like you, who will fight and struggle to see these monsters driven back to their caves! The Jedi will scoff at our achievements or roll their eyes as they are wont to do. However, know that our family will always recognize your sacrifice! Whether you live or pay the highest price in these wretched bogs, your names will be etched in the great halls of Midas and the Colossus, for future generations of our family to venerate and admire!” She continued.

“Now citizens, show these monsters the power of our Matriarch and the bloodthirst of our family! Rip and tear!”

And so, in a raging storm of sheer, fething will and brutality, her machine-brothers set off to breach the Fortress of Woe. All the while, Alessandra nodded to the Assembly, floating in the air as her diminutive form was covered in a shimmer of light that rendered it invisible to the eye, owing to the cloaking device in her bodysuit. Now concealed, the Chaplain ascended and flew towards the walls of the Fortress of Woe…

And suddenly, the Chaplain manifested her presence manifested behind one of the gunner Ologuren, uncloaking as her chakrams whistled through the air, a pair of the deadly circular blades cast forth to take off the heads of the hopefully-unsuspecting Common Ologuren defending the gun emplacements!

“Sir! Two Ultranaut companies from the 31st Brigade are landing to reinforce this position!” Kal-Channa said, slowing down from a dead sprint as she approached her commanding officer, Capital Skilis Jun-Gaz. “They’re in orbit now, sir.” She added.

“Better something than nothing!” The veteran special forces Captain growled. “Where are those damn Oathbreakers?” He continued.

“Still recovering…Panatha hit them hard.”

“It is so, then.” He resigned, with a deep breath. “Wolfguards, ready the defense! Kal-Channa, get the villagers on the walls as well. We need every blaster we can get up there until reinforcements arrive.”

“Yes sir!” Turning, Kal-Channa relayed the orders to the villagers, each armed with a Viper-series blaster rifle, grenades, and a vibrostaff, in addition to basic padded armor. It went without saying that they were far less armed and armored than the Wolfguards, but the fact that they were fighting for their homes would make them determined fighters, complementing the consummate skill of the elite special forces soldiers tasked with assisting in the defense. Just like she taught them, the Nuknogs formed up on the walls in disciplined, orderly fashion, their rifles held at the ready as they did.

Then, as if on cue a war horn sounded in the far distance and silence fell over the defenders as they waited for the enemy to emerge from the marshes.

The shuttles carrying the companies landed moments after the horn sounded. "Companies disembark and rush to assist the defenders." He heard an officer speak over the comms as Hi'los gripped the KC-95 Blaster Pistol he had taken from a compartment in the shuttle. He stood up as the shuttle door opened and the towering Gen'Dai walked out. He spotted Kal-Channa relaying orders to the villagers as he moved towards the defences. The planet was like many he had encountered, though there was an aura of dread in the air. He began making his way to the wall as 2 ultranauts trailed behind him. He never made it that far though, as another horn sounded and suddenly figures emerged from the marshes, charging forward with weapons in hand. The companies by then had joined ranks with the defenders, ready to fight.

"Sir, we should get to the wall." One of the ultranauts answered.

"Hm, indeed we should." Then over comms he said, "Companies, fire at will." Both companies of ultranauts raised their rifles, a range from KC-249 General Purpose Repeating Blasters to KC-M74S Designated Marksman Rifles, some even wielding KC-M2 Portable Missile Launchers. This was the true strength of the Eternal Empire. Those who opposed it would fall and the enemies attacking would learn this lesson.

The sound of metal machinery and the noises of the ologuren would be the only sound that happened to emerge from the settlement of gobash. The ologuren within the training grounds would be unprepared as the wave of fire incenterated them, as their spores would sink deep into the ground. The mob of savage ologuren would stare over at her and see the burning avatar of flame before them but due to their intelligence they issue their war shout of a "Waaagh!" and began to rush her from all directions brandishing their metal weaponries. However they were stopped by the approaching footsteps of a Stone Shaman who wielded his magic totem of power that allowed him to channel the element of stone for use in defense and offensive. His face covered with a shaman mask and decorated with large robes with scrap armor underneath, wielding a long bone staff that acted like his channeling agency. "You going to pay for attack'in us." The shaman spoke behind his mask, in broken standard basic.

Swinging his staff around within his hand, several large boulders would raise up from the ground and hurl themselves at her traveling at quite a considerable speed. Although they might be deflected or destroyed, the shaman would brandish his staff with his two hands. Its magic imbued properties would allow the bone to stand up to even a lightsaber and with his brute strength more than making up for his lack of considerable training in refined combat. While the boulders would be traveling towards her, the ologuren mob rushed in behind the boulders as well brandishing their weaponry in one massive charge. The rest of the settlement would be in high alert, as the warlord was alerted to the intruder within his settlement. Warlord Ghenggarg Grobbogga would be a greater ologuren of 10'4 feet in height and weighing almost 400 lbs would shout orders to his bodyguards, kicking out the ologuren that warned him of the intruder. "Don't just stand there ya gits, kill dem and move on with the attack force!" Warlord Grobbogga shouted in a loud enough tone to be heard, picking up his two axes and hooking them into his belt. Standing up from his chair and moving outside from his camp to confront the intruder himself. His heavy scrap armor would jingle as his footsteps approached the battle arena, as his heavy fur cape would drape over his back. His bodyguard regiment of Savage Ologuren would be in front of him to protect him should the intruder try and attack the warlord.

Several Legion's of Savage Ologuren would redirect themselves away from the battle and move through the toxic swamps using bone crusher tanks, which had been made out of scrap but had enough armor to protect themselves from serious harm and would take a considerable amount of time to go down. These legion's would begin to exit out of the settlement in marching formation into the dense terrain, looking to join up with another attack force to emerge at the settlement of nukun to besiege it.

The Common Ologuren patrols on the walkway to the Fortress of Woe had spotted some movement within the marshes, approaching the direction of the Fortified Gates. Shouting to the others that they were under attack and that it was time to defend themselves. The Common Ologuren Gunnery's would begin to ignite the cannons on the walls, firing several rounds of scrap cannon rounds at the approaching intruders within the marshes. Exploding on impact, sending shrapnel all around the area that they hit upon. Weather they would hit anything was up to the training of the enemy force and their ability to protect themselves from the scrap rounds. They would just about to fire upon one more round, when they suddenly were without a head as they slumped to the floor of the wallway. Their bodies disappearing into tiny spores which floated down through the cracks into the ground. What they weren't aware of was the ability of the ologuren to spawn more ologuren after their deaths as they had massive reproduction rates, as the spores would develop rapidly into a fighting force to catch them off guard. A special variant of the savage ologuren would have been far enough away to avoid the sharp discs that the mysterious Alessandra Io Alessandra Io used on the battlefield. He was a scrap grenade thrower, taking several from his pouches and hurling them at the woman on the walkway to catch her off guard. Even if they didn't hit her directly, they would explode sending shrapnels in every direction to hopefully manage a few small cuts. The Scrap Grenade Thrower would duck behind the cover of a gunpowder barrel next to one of the cannons on the wallway, hurling that at her after igniting it with a charge from one of the grenades. Hopefully it would catch her and the women would be dealt with, but in the event that this failed. He would attempt to throw more scrap grenades to make her focus on him than the other ologuren within the compound.

The war horns would sound within the camp, alerting the Warlord Krisnark Bonestompa within his fortified cave. The rest of the ologuren would prepare to defend their settlement, grabbing their equipment of metal weaponries and gunpowder weaponry as they made their way to the front gate to reinforce. A tide of green, white, and several other colorations of the ologuren would be seen as they marched forward, beginning to engage with the enemy if they had managed to break past the gate and fortified walls. Their natural brute strength would make them more than a match for even the strongest droids, as they descended. Warlord Krisnark Bonestompa would sit upon his throne of loot, chewing into a leg of a large with his large tusks. Ripping into it with enough force to snap it in half.

"Charge!" The Savage Ologuren Captain would say, brandishing his blaster pistol within his hand. The Chemilizard riders would emerge from the toxic swamps, rushing forward like a small sea of strength. 200 savage ologuren packed with muscles and immense durability, would be seen moving forward throughout the landscape towards the Settlement of Nukun. Their mounted hand cannons on the backs of the chemilizards would allow them to fire while on the move, scrap cannonballs and their own weaponries would make for a brutal and effective scouting force. Cannon shots would ring out in puffs of smoke as the mounted scrap cannons would begin to fire at the defenders along the wall, looking to use highly powered shrapnel to pound into the enemy forces. Although they didn't understand that they would be facing a highly experienced force from the Eternal Empire but they would smash anyone in their way. Looking to use their immense brute force to combat any technological force. Warlord Skullsmasha would have sent them ahead as a scout force before he sent in his entire warband to burn the settlement to the ground in both fire and brimstone.

The Companies of Ultranauts and the Ologuren Scout Force would exchange shot after shot, as the chemilizard riders moved forward using zig zag formations to make the enemy disoriented somewhat which would allow them to swivel their mounted scrap cannons around to blast apart of the wall open. Gunpowder weaponry would be fired against the superior weaponry of the eternal empire. What the defending force wasn't aware of was that each ologuren death would only spawn more ologuren to join the warband that would attack later on if they managed to assemble a large enough force that was on its way from Gobash and the forces being sent by Warlord Skullsmasha at this current time from his un-besieged fortress. While the riders would be easy to deal with in a couple of volly's, the bone crusher tanks that were coming would be with the gobash tide. These tanks would prove to be the most difficult, as they operated with treads instead of repulsor technology which would enabled them to roll through the swamps without getting stuck in the water, due to these treads being elevated. Each tank had several cannons attached to them, turning them into fortresses upon their own.

“Target their riders, Wolfguards!”

It was a cacophony of weapons’ discharges along the walls as Ultranauts, Wolfguards, and villagers rained down fire on the charging Ologuren cavalry formations. For her part, Kal-Channa delivered a barrage of disruptor fire on the closer enemies, her rifle unleashing destruction in an ear splitting series of whip-cracks. For those Ologuren who got near the walls, thinking they had passed the initial gauntlet, they found themselves beset by her fire. Each Ologuren Scout that entered her crosshairs was taken down in precise, lethal fashion, her disruptor bolts upsetting their molecular bonds and vaporizing the monsters atom by excruciating atom. One, two, three, then four of the Ologuren fell to her initial salvo, their zig-zag movement patterns posing little issue to the Kal-Channa’s marksmanship pedigree, especially given the lizards’ massive, ungainly frames that made such motions less graceful than they would have been, otherwise. Nevertheless, the Ologuren Scouts did not relent in their charge, throwing themselves at the walls with savage, nigh-suicidal aggression that was uncharacterisitc of any traditional enemy.

That much was quickly becoming clear to the Wolfguards and their allies.

“They won’t stop coming!”

“Then we won’t stop shooting! Keep the pressure up, manage your reloads!” The Captain barked.

Suddenly, the Ologuren cannon fire began to assail the walls with greater intensity, spraying shrapnel in nearly all directions as more of the enemy came into range. While that also meant more Ologuren for her to kill, Kal-Channa knew how dangerous the situation was for the villagers on the walls, who weren’t nearly as well-armored as the Wolfguards or the Ultranauts.

“I’m gonna pull the villagers deeper into the settlement. Cover me!” The diminutive Wolfguard called out. Taking down two more of the charging Ologuren scouts, Kal-Channa called out to the villagers and began to escort them from the walls, before leading them into the village.

As she did, a powerful cannon blast ripped through a section of the walls, giving the Ologuren a single entrance to penetrate the outer defenses.

"Ultranauts! Secure the breach." Hi'los shouted as he and his escorts stood outside of the walls. Actually, it was just him. Both of his escorts collapsed from one of the Ologuren's attacks. One shot from his pistol rang out, taking down an enemy, then another, and another. 3 riders turned their attention to him, charging him with an unrelenting rage. Very well. Hi'los through aside his pistol as his 2 Shroudsabers flew to his hands.

He charged the 3 riders as the distance closed, and with a leap he swung both of his sabers at the leading 2 riders, slicing their heads clean off. He landed into a roll and flung out his hands, pushing the 3rd of his mount through the force. He held his ground outside the wall for what felt like ages. Occasionally a blaster shot would hit him, though it did not matter. After each shot, he regenerated. "Try your best!" He taunted. He flung his right saber as it flew in an arc and killed 4 Olgurun. He let loose a flurry of attacks as his saber returned to him, he rarely felt the thrill of combat due to his responsibilities as a strategist, and it was a wonderful feeling. By the time he remembered of the breach he had dozens of scorch marks on his bodies from blaster shots

"Status report on the breach!" He called through comms towards no one in general. "And get me on a comm line with whoever's in charge here!"

Heads were ripped from bodies as the Chaplain’s flying discs sliced violent arcs through the air. The chakrams, which equalled that of a lightsaber in terms of cutting power, left a full squad’s worth of decapitated Ologuren forms in their wake, blood spewing from 11 different necks like grisly fountains before the bodies collapsed to the ground in eerie rhythm from the first to the last. And yet, while her chakrams were fast and lethal, they could not cut down all of the hulking creatures. The sensors integrated into the neck piece of her bodysuit picked up the flying grenade bandoliers as they soared towards Alessandra’s position, forcing her to quickly and violently elevate, her repulsor cells shooting her body higher into the air, in order to escape the blast radius of the explosives. Flying roughly 15 meters above the walls, the Chaplain immediately caught sight of the grenade thrower.

Then, her photoreceptors began to glow a luminescent cyan.

Her eyes erupted with ultra-cold energy two seconds later, unleashing a powerful, cryogenic beam from above, aimed to strike the Ologuren grenade thrower in his legs. In all likelihood, it would not be a killing blow. However, Alessandra had no intention of it being such. She needed at least a few of the Ologuren alive, so that the Assembly or the Battalion could extract the location of the Warlord from their minds. However, in the Ologuren failed to yield any information, Alessandra’s drone continued to hover over the fortress, tracking the movements of the Ologuren Captains and Lieutenants in an effort to elucidate the Warlord’s possible location.

With the House Io forces dramatically outnumbered by the savage Ologuren horde, the Chaplain knew that time was of the essence. The longer this battle lasted, the greater the danger to her allies.

The Assembly was ferocious as she joined the battle against the spore people. Three of the House Io Mercenary Droids were lost by the scrap cannon impact, but the others pressed on, firing their sonic Disruptors at the spore brutes, rapidly breaking down their warriors to ash or gibs.

The Assembly's Light Shotos moved through flesh, the Purple blades rapidly slashing apart and stabbing her foes at high speed, body moving about with shocking precision in a series of flips and kicks, feeding off what death she could cause, growing stronger.

The House Mercenary Droids, though much stronger than an average human tried not to get into fist fights with any of the Olugaren, who they preferred to dispatch either with Disruptors or knife attacks, dodging and weaving rather than stay in one place.

But the real threat The Assembly posed was her control over electricity.

A twitch of the eye, and Lightning would strike at the walls of the fort from the sky repeatedly, even as she dashed through the marshes. A scrap grenade meant for Alessandra Io Alessandra Io landed close and exploded, flinging the screaming witch backward and opening lacerations that bled white blood and rotted looking yellow muscle, her rage keeping her going as she staggered up, channeling a massive lightning strike from above that that targeted the scrap grenade thrower as well as a few others...

The Chemilizard Riders would be utterly smashed into smithereens by the defensive nature of the Eternal Empire and their vastly superior technologically force. The 200 savage ologuren would fight tooth and nail against the forces sent against them with their brute force and savagery, while some of the chemilizard lacked riders the beasts themselves would charge into the breach of the walls with jaws packed with immense teeth. While they certainly weren't lightsaber resistant, their thick skin would provide them with some level of protection. They had no self preservation tactics and as such they amounted heavy resistance with near-suicidal aggression against their foes. But their numbers kept diminishing until they were eventually wiped out completely. Only some of the chemilizards would stalk the battlefield, devouring foe after foe within their large jaws. Although once these lizards were taken care off the settlement would be stabilized for now. Everything was soon quiet on the battlefield and it might seem that the battle was over.

But then a sound emerged from the marshes directly in front of the settlement with the immense blast of another war horn. Additionally the sound of hundreds of feet marching through the swamps, as trees would begin to fall over in the wake of the bone crusher tanks. As they begun to roll forward through the marshes upon their treads and single rolling apparatus on the front that could crush rocks and large boulders hidden among the swamps. Six of these tanks would emerge from the marshes, packed thick with scraps and armored plating smashed together and hammered to form a mobile fortress and battery. Crews of Common Ologuren would be operating them, controlling the various levers that made the tank move and several gunners with 3 large artillery type batteries upon it with another deck of automatic twin blaster cannons. They would be difficult to defeat, and that wasn't the only thing that was emerging. Several Formations would march out of the swamp behind the tanks themselves, a force numbering almost 2300 strong comprised of several variants of ologuren, packed with highly armored and highly brutal ologuren to smash into the defensive line of the settlement.

The Warband of Warlord Skullsmasha would arrive on schedule after the scouting force tested the waters. Standing outside the range of the defense forces for just a little while longer until their warlord gave them the order to charge. Among the ologuren warband would be several stone shamans to boost the fighting spirit of the horde and would provide an opportunity to engage with force users on the field. A small band of ologuren boar riders would separate themselves into the dense swamps, flanking around the settlement to make a hole large enough for them to attack from behind.

Warlord Skullsmasha would observe the battlefield from atop his Andronius War Boar mount being a greater ologuren of 12'0 and 1,500 Ibs of pure weight being equipped with a large war pike and immense scrap armor that would protect him from most weaponry, "Fire the catapults!" he shouted to them, as the catapults would bring up the rear of the warband forces to provide artillery to smash the walls into smithereens. They would be positioned behind the main fighting force and less exposed within the dense swamp land. Large Boulders would be brought up and loaded into the catapults, covering them with flammable materials and igniting them with a single touch of their torches. The catapults would be fired towards the wall, as flaming rocks would be incoming towards the defenders.

"Charge ya gits, destroy them all!" Warlord Skullsmasha shouted to his army and his imposing voice sounded out among the landscape, as the battle formations of heavily armored savage ologuren would advance forward. Along with the bone smasher tanks, firing their loaded scrap cannon rounds forward to bring down the wall while the catapults would carry on firing into the settlement to try and burn them from the inside out. He himself would charge into the battlefield on his war mount, accompanied by his legion of savage ologuren bodyguards. The horde was upon them and it was only a matter of time before the settlement held or was destroyed.

[The Fortress of Woe]
[Objective Two - Battle of the Marshes]

[Tags The Battalion The Battalion and Alessandra Io Alessandra Io ]

The Ologuren Grenade Thrower was utterly destroyed, first he was frozen in place by the cold energy from Alessandra Io and the next he was disintegrated by the lightning blast from the Battalion. Down on the ground, the ologuren would smash directly into the line of the House Io Forces on the battlefield, using their brute strength and pure savagery to engage in hand to hand combat with the mostly ranged foes, looking to force them on the disadvantage. Lightning strikes from the battalion would disintegrate more of the ologuren as they made their way through. The more they fought the more powerful they would grow as a collective entity, sharing the physic power within themselves to form a sort of collective hive-mind to better formulate plans to crush these invaders. Another tide of ologuren would rush at them, firing their weapons and engaging in melee combat with some of the droids on the battlefield. Although a line of blunderbuss ologuren would form, aiming directly at the two gits that were picked up to be the commanders of the overall mission. Firing their shrapnel rounds at them while the smoke from the blunderbuss would somewhat hide them from being instantly destroyed by the enemy, as they split up from their line and went behind cover of various tents and battle fortifications that the ologuren had managed to assemble with haste. As the ologuren warhost sent more and more of them into the fray to either be killed or do some immense damage to the enemy force. Although a small section of the forces within the fortress of woe would be seen heading towards the back gate to reinforce the attack upon the settlement made by Warlord Skullsmasha. Stopping them from making it out of the settlement would be paramount to protecting the locals and the eternal empire's allies within.

Warlord Krizsnark Bonestompa would be within his fortress cave built into the valley of the settlement, peering up from his loot throne to the ologuren in front of himself. "Bozzz, we got an invasion force on our doorsteps." The ologuren shouted to him, as bonestompa would raise up from his chair and grab the ologuren by his neck, dangling him within his outstretched hand. "Then fight harder!" he stated to the ologuren, before throwing him to the ground and kicking him out of his cave with a single mighty kick of his leg. "Bring in the beast!" Warlord Krizsnark Bonestompa would say as his bodyguards would nod with haste and begin to open the latches to the monster pits within the underground cave system that was his fortress, a mighty rancor would emerge from the pit ready to serve as the war mount of the greater ologuren when the time arrived. But for now the ologuren warband underneath his control would begin to might tooth and nail against the enemy forces that had arrived, their deaths causing microscopic spores to sink into the ground that given time would have another warband ready underneath the nose of the occupational force that would no doubt arrive to secure the world.

Minute he free ttouched the ground gain she pushed off, moving around the larger bodies as her blades sliced flesh and turned scrap quickly into pieces, one came to try and slam a weapon down into her was quickly met with a flick that sent him flying rather far as she rolled her shoulders and chuckled as they popped and stood tall as she stared down their shaman as she gave a grin and watched the boulders raise

cute tricks

She merely said, the boulders flying toward her had troops behind them, glancing to the forces moving off she chuckle and stomped her foot down bringing a fire wall up behind the boulder hole pushing her hand forward to stop a few of the boulders setting some crash around her as she felt rocks ping off he armor uselessly, lifting her hands she had two of the boulders and with a roar she turned and chucked them for the armor moving off, whether they hit or not wouldn't be a issue she had to ignore the two big bads for the moment. The fire wall would drop and star moved for the troops breaking off slicing and burning down any within her path trying to stop her, maybe she could lure the other two into open ground or maybe cut them offer entirely? Either way star wouldn't slow her attack one bit

The raw, combined power of cryogenic energy and electricity rendered the grenade thrower as little more than motes on the wind, not only disintegrating his body, but also his spores. Alessandra growled in frustration at his death, her chakrams flying back into her hands as she touched down on the ground, before shifting her attention towards the Assembly, her mouth opening to speak.

Then, the Chaplain was shot once, then twice in the chest.

For a moment, it would seem that the “witch” was slain, her small form falling from the ramparts and out of sight as the two projectiles struck her chest. For more than a few moments, the Assembly would be left alone to deal with the line of Ologuren gunners. However, it was not long before Alessandra began to recover, her digital-biological control systems processing the damage to her chassis in the process. Fortunately, broken ribs were the worst of her injuries. The miniaturized shield projectors in her bodysuit had done their job in mitigating the blows, which otherwise might have punched gaping holes through her chassis. Nevertheless, Alessandra could taste her own blood on her lips, the silvery fluid running down the side of her mouth as she floated up from the ground, her bodysuit caked in green swamp goo, laced with small amounts of blood.

Nevertheless, the Chaplain was still very much dangerous and determined.

The drone she had in the air immediately picked up the Ologuren forces attempting to leave through the back gate. The Chaplain knew where they were headed and she quickly decided that for the time being, stopping any reinforcements from leaving the base was a priority, or else Nukun might fall.

“Matriarch, I’m moving towards the rear gate.” The Chaplain said. “They’re trying to get reinforcements out of the fortress.” She continued.

“Perhaps if I kill enough of his gits, Bonestompa might show his face.” The HRD hissed, bloodthirst lacing her words as she did.

In flight the Chaplain’s photoreceptors glowed an ominous pink as they were charged with energy. Then, arriving just as the forces moved through the rear gate, the Chaplain struck from within the swamp itself. With a lethal, high-pitched whine, twin lances of searing maser energy were unleashed from the weaponized organs, sweeping across the formation of Ologuren in an attempt to bisect each of the hulking monsters, before they could respond…

Fire from the sky.

The hut was consumed in a fiery, resonating explosion before the Wolfguard’s eyes and the eyes of the Nuknogs under her command. While those unable to fight had been relocated deeper into the village in order to protect them from the fighting, Kal-Channa knew immediately that in order to protect the village, the next line of defense would need to be activated, and fast.

“Vek! Take everyone with you into the village. I’m going to activate the energy shield. We can’t afford to wait any longer.” Kal-Channa said, directing her orders to the most charismatic of the Nuknog fighters.

“Yes, commander!”

“Everyone else, get your people ready to evacuate. They are our first priority.” The Wolfguard assured them.

With no time to waste, Kal-Channa turned and sprinted off towards the shield generator. Upon arriving, the diminutive Wolfguard knelt down and began to power it on, her fingers deftly manipulating the buttons until a resonating hum sounded out from the device, the shield projector coming to life to generate a large, dome-like energy barrier around the village. The barrier materialized just as another salvo of flaming rocks was lobbed from the Ologuren artillery, intercepting and vaporizing the projectiles before they could do any further damage to the village. Since the shield device was a massively-upscaled version of the personal energy shield she had on her armor, Kal-Channa was familiar with the controls. She quickly tuned it so that the shields were polarized, allowing the Ultranaut and Wolfguard forces to maintain fire out of the barrier, while preventing anything from entering.

“Shield is activated, Captain!” The Wolfguard transmitted to her commanding officer.

“Relay that to the Lord Commander of the 31st and get back here as soon as you can, Private!” The voice at the other end answered, punctuated by the sounds of warcries, blaster discharges, and generalized violence.

Making the final adjustments to the shield, Kal-Channa set off towards the front line. In the process, she relayed her message to the Lord Commander ( Hi'los Krai Hi'los Krai ), before pulling her rifle from her back as she readied herself to dive back into the fray…
