  • Description: Amidala Upcity is a visionary district on Denon. Designed to replace the minimal hospitals using the plans from the Denon initiatives to become more and more self sustaining. The Denon Amidala medical district is a symphony of glass and chrome rising from a lush, verdant landscape. The air is clean almost sterile from the medical nanites, carrying a faint scent of ozone and something akin to blooming lilies. It's an ideal that has been realized. At the center a colossal needle-thin tower rises to the skyline, its polished surface catching the sunlight and refracting it into blinding spears of light. This is the surgical spire that goes from surface of the world to the skyline. The central hub where all medical data and research are synthesized as every several levels a similar design is made with artificial sunlight for the lower districts. Surrounding it in concentric rings are a dozen smaller pod like towers. Each one an architectural marvel of smooth curving lines and a pearlescent sheen. These are the various specialized clinics and research institutes the biotech pods, the genomic labs, and the trauma domes. The buildings are not disconnected islands; they are linked by a network of elevated walkways and suspended mag-lev trains that shimmer as they glide along their tracks. These bridges, lined with lush, curated gardens weave through the air like silver ribbons creating an intricate web of access and connection. Beneath this vast display crystal clear lakes reflect the sky and the towers above. Small, silent vessels glide across the surface ferrying patients and personnel. The entire district is a testament to the Denon Ascendency Initiatives triumph over disease a serene, hyper-efficient utopia dedicated to health and healing. The hum of technology is a constant low thrum. A reassuring pulse that permeates the entire area. This isn't just a medical center; it's a living, breathing ecosystem like the rest of Denon.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Operating Spire: The iconic central tower of Amidala Upcity, this multifaceted spire spans from the highest skyline levels down to the abyss and surface, accommodating trillions through modular expansions. It serves as the heart of medical education and operations, featuring advanced operating rooms equipped with Biotwomb technology for regenerative surgeries, Stardust Medical Systems for cybernetic enhancements and simulation labs for experimental medical testing before it is used on living subjects. Under the Ascendancy, it's integrated with self-replicating fabricators to produce medical supplies on-demand, ensuring redundancy during galactic upheavals.

Restaurants: Scattered across dedicated food courts in the district. There are hundreds of galaxy rated eateries offer diverse cuisine, from Twi'lek-inspired spice blends to Zeltron comfort foods. Many utilize Junjita flash cloned ingredients from on site facilities promoting self-sufficiency. High end venues in the upper levels cater to elites, while affordable options in lower areas foster community bonding, with proceeds funding scholarships.

Security Barrier: A multi-layered defensive system encircling the district, combining electronic shields, Hypertech reinforcements, and sensor arrays to protect patient privacy, student data, and research. It includes automated Glydr Class War Droids for protective patrols and Far-Caster deployment points for rapid response aligning with the Ascendancy's tertiary mission of enhanced security while maintaining an inviting facade for visitors.

Emergency Rooms: Advanced trauma centers distributed across dozens of levels specializing in areas like cybernetic repairs, environmental toxin treatments and injury or mass casuality simulations. Equipped with Medical Modules and Pathway Modules for seamless patient transport these facilities use Infinite Reconstructors to repurpose waste into sterile supplies, ensuring self-sustaining operations even in isolation scenarios.

Sasori Modular Production Facilities: Industrial-scale fabricators enhanced with Resource Modules, these facilities produce food, water, air, and energy to feed and sustain trillions. A single station can generate planetary-scale yields for centuries under heavy demand, with surpluses exported to fund the district. They exemplify the Ascendancy's regenerative tech, converting urban waste into nutrient-rich outputs and powering the entire campus with clean, renewable energy.

Junjita: Sophisticated rapid cloning labs integrated into research buildings capable of producing fauna like fish, livestock, and birds for ecological restoration or food security. Upgraded with Resource Modules for higher yields these labs support educational programs in biology and sustainability. Allowing students to experiment with rewilding projects that tie into Denon's broader terraforming efforts.

Cold Storage: Expansive facilities for housing medical response ships, personal shuttles and emergency supplies. Using Dorme Cargo Containers for efficient organization. HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Amidala District, once a forgotten district mired in the depths of Denon's corporate dystopia. Traces its origins to the planet's early industrial boom during the waning days of the Old Republic. Initially designated as industrial zones in the lower and middle levels known colloquially as District 6 this area was a hub for heavy manufacturing and waste processing. Serving the insatiable demands of megacorporations like the Corporate Sector Authority (CSA) and local conglomerates. Towering factories belched pollutants into the air, toxic runoff poisoned subterranean waterways and overworked laborers toiled in hazardous conditions, leading to rampant urban blight. By the time of the Clone Wars the districts had devolved into near-lifeless wastelands: crumbling infrastructure, abandoned warehouses and fractured communities riddled with inequality, where the elite spires loomed above like indifferent monoliths. Crime syndicates including remnants of Black Sun operatives exploited the chaos turning derelict areas into smuggling dens and shadow markets while environmental degradation rendered vast swaths uninhabitable with acid rains eroding buildings and health crises plaguing residents.

The turning point arrived in the post-Republic era, amid galactic instability following the rise of the Empire and subsequent upheavals like the Planeshift chaos. Ayumi, a former senator with deep roots in Denon's political landscape envisioned this rundown district as the cradle for broader planetary reforms. Drawing from her experiences with Dominique for navigating corporatocratic intricacies and observing failures on worlds like Coruscant. She allied with Vexx, a Direx Board member from Rachne Industries whose expertise in people management bridged idealism with pragmatism. Their partnership formalized around 900 ABY integrated proprietary tools like Sasori fabricators, Junjita cloning labs, and Infinite Reconstructors into Ayumi's Reformation Initiatives. The district was renamed Amidala district in 902 ABY, honoring the legendary Naboo diplomat Padmé Amidala as a symbol of resilience, unity and finesse. Qualities Ayumi sought to mirror in Denon's future.

Revitalization commenced under the Denon Ascendancy's phased approach aligning with the High Republic's affiliation in 902 ABY. Phase 1 (Diplomatic and Political Foundation) involved securing alliances through Mystique Island's elite networks and lobbying for the Denon Reconstruction Authority (DRA). Resources were mobilized via special bonds and taxes on surface corporations funneling credits into surface-level cleanup. Advanced Terraforming technologies rewilded polluted wastelands introducing biodiverse green spaces and channeling water from Denon's artificial ocean to create cascading ponds, pools and forested areas that pumped purified water across all levels. Hypertech Generators and Resource Stations established self-sustaining energy and food production with Junjita-enhanced facilities cloning nutrient-rich fauna to address chronic scarcity.

By Phase 2 (Technological and Logistical Oversight) modular buildings rose from the abyss to the skyline: sleek, self-repairing structures of Sasori Materia housing classrooms, research labs and medical modules. The Operating Spire emerged as the centerpiece a towering edifice equipped with regenerative medicine biots and Stardust Medical Systems for cybernetic training. With medical simulations for crisis management. Pilot programs demonstrated tangible benefits: decentralized purification systems provided clean water, resource labs yielded surplus food for export (supplementing tuition funds) and air filtration improved health. Shifting public skepticism to optimism. Challenges, such as resistance from entrenched corporate elites fearing profit dilution and initial mistrust from lower district residents viewing reforms as elite schemes were addressed through community assemblies and consensus-building fostering local support for the reconstruction efforts.
