Sasori reverse engineered the technology for their terraforming projects and using molecule disruption to compress and shrink the components. It would allow them to have the same results in a device substantially smaller in this case easily travel sized as it could fit in the travel packs for a science team. The builders are smaller in number compared to many of the things they have made for terraforming but it could be used for more rapid terraforming of an environment or restoring planets that have been ravaged by war.... or if the safeties of the sysem are disengaged it could intentionally overgrow an environment to match Kashyyyk in many regards accelerating flora and fauna by several factors.
