Shuklaar fired the last four Striilir'ika-M-class Baradium Brilliant Micro-missiles he had, watching the powerful explosions mushroom across the creature right as his autocannon ran dry. Thankfully, backup was here. A pair of IFV-01M Trataab'morut Infantry Fighting Vehicles rolled up behind him, their cargo of ID-01MR 'Gar Verd' Infantry Droids disembarked with haste. Aran's rapid response 'oh osik' button. Shuklaar's HUD immediately identified the MCDC-01 Man-portable Class-D Disruptor Cannon the lead droid was carrying.

"Let me borrow that for a minute, ad'ika," he said to the droid. The droid paused for a fraction of a second, as though processing his request before throwing the weapon to him. If not for his armor and his enhanced strength, catching the heavy weapon as it was tossed to him would have been a nigh impossible prospect. Almost instinctively, he caught the weapon and shouldered it. Shuklaar didn't remember squeezing the trigger, but he doubted he'd ever forget what followed.

Between his own fire and the SD-01R 'Gar Ram'ser' Siege Droid's. the disruptor fire cast an eerie purple glow over the surrounding area. The addest part of it all was there was no deafening explosion, no triumphant thud of the creature's corpse hitting the ground, just a sad plop as the remaining organic matter that hadn't been immediately and perhaps a little horrifyingly and violently removed from the force itself fell to the ground unceremoniously. Now he almost wished he'd hit this thing with orbital fire support, at least that ould have resulted in a more triumphant end.

Shuklaar took a breath as he ejected the very spent power cell from his borrowed weapon with a satisfying clack. He tossed back to its original owner who caught it out of the air before there could be any doubt that he wouldn't. Shuklaar didn't need to be on the same comm net to hear the almost defaming, triumphant cry of 'Oya Manda' that erupted from the company troops. A sure sign as any that the Mandalorians of Breshig were more than happy and more than able to put down any beast that dared rear its ugly head.

"Inside the temple, Tempo. Now," Vohm-Raet commanded, moving his hand to carefully but quickly place him behind a heavy structural pillar near the back of the staging area, ensuring the solid stone was between Tempo and the front doors.
The small waif must surely have been light as a feather by comparison, for the Jedi moved him with relative ease. Only the faintest change of expression crossed his face: a small flash of shock at the suddenness of it all, his attention having been seized by the turmoil outside.

He did not argue when the tall, imposing Jedi set him down. For a moment, he only watched the larger man charge into battle, his small fingers curling around the strap of his pack. He had been moved aside like something fragile and worth preserving, and then that same towering shape had turned to meet the horror beyond the doors.... Tempo felt a small warm fuzzy feeling well up in his chest seeing the massive man rushed towards danger out of protective instinct, and Jalen moved to help manage the refugees.

Tempo's lips parted, but whatever sound might have come was swallowed by the cries of the refugees pouring in.
Tempo was impressed by the swiftness of Vohm-Raet 's action and the care put in to them. Tempo blinked seeming to come back to himself from the awe struck moment.

Then he scurried back into the deeper reaches of the building, searching for a higher vantage point as frightened folk began to pour inside in search of shelter and do his best to at least help keep them calm and organized.

Vohm-Raet stepped out onto the dust-choked landing, his hand firmly gripping his lightsaber hilt, prepared to steady himself against the thrashing nightmare. Instead, the air around him filled with the blinding flash of heavy munitions. The roar of Mandalorian heavy repeaters, autocannons, and the screech of micro-missiles tore through the settlement.

Vohm-Raet stood motionless, his massive frame shielding the temple entrance as the sky filled with black smoke and the falling, severed chunks of the Summa-Verminoth tentacles. He watched, his dark eyes wide, as a well-placed shot shattered the beast's giant eye. Then came the eerie purple glare of a heavy disruptor cannon.

There was no grand explosion, just a sudden, terrifying absence where a mountain of teeth and tentacles had been a second before, followed by a dull, wet thud against the dirt. The deafening, triumphant cheers of "Oya Manda" echoed from the armored Breshig soldiers commanded by Shuklaar Kyrdol Shuklaar Kyrdol across the clearing.

Slowly, Vohm-Raet let his hand fall away from his weapon. The heavy tension in his shoulders relaxed, replaced by a profound sense of bewilderment. The galaxy, it seemed, moved much too fast for an old fisherman turned Jedi Master.

He looked down at a smoking piece of organic matter that had landed a few feet from his large feet. With an exaggeratedly careful movement, he nudged it aside with the edge of his boot, ensuring it didn't block the path of the fleeing civilians.

Turning his head, he looked back toward the temple doors where Jalen was smoothly directing the dazed refugees inside. Chi'no Su Chi'no Su was among them, backing away from the carnage with wide, startled eyes.

"It appears our neighbors possess a rather... definitive method of conflict resolution," Vohm-Raet rumbled softly, his deep voice carrying a dry, ironic warmth that helped cut through the remaining panic in the air.

He walked back toward the threshold, his giant steps slow and measured to avoid jostling the frightened people passing him. "I suppose my assistance as a shield was entirely redundant. A humbling reminder that the galaxy rarely waits for a Jedi to find his footing" He paused near Jalen Kai'el Jalen Kai'el his dark eyes scanning the crowd to make sure no one was left out in the open.

"Is the perimeter secure inside, Jalen?" Vohm-Raet asked quietly, watching the last of the stragglers file through the doors though noticed the apparent absence of Tempo Tempo from the ground. "Young Tempo seemed quite determined to find a high place to shout from, and I would prefer he does not tumble from the rafters while trying to organize our guests. Let us go see to the living."

"Aren," she said, offering the introduction again, this time properly directed. "It's nice to meet you."
"Novac. Forget the droids. How many civilians are between that thing and the shelters?"
"Dont try and communicate with it, it hurts." glancing over at aren "I'm not worried about them, just making sure they get as many people as they can to safety."
Braze was just about to respond to Aren when all hell broke loose from beneath the ground.

Chaos rippled through the area. People began to move, startled cries cutting through the air, followed swiftly by volleys of munitions that pelted the massive beast. For one brief moment, Braze could only stare, awestruck by the sudden violence of it all, before instinct seized hold of him.

He moved to help keep people away from the newly formed field of battle, guiding civilians and refugees back from the danger as the ground shook beneath them. He was, oddly enough, thankful for Laphisto Laphisto 's troops and for Shuklaar Kyrdol Shuklaar Kyrdol 's presence in swiftly dealing with what he could only describe as some ancient horror from who knew when.

Other Jedi were already working to keep the denizens safe. Though there had been an unfortunate, sudden loss of life, one Braze felt ripple through the Force, he could only be grateful it had not been worse.

Once all was said and done, he was not certain what would follow next. There was quite a mess to take care of where their little settlement was meant to be, and he was not even sure the crater was safe to investigate.

Braze sighed softly after offering polite instructions to some of the refugees, directing them toward the temple as one of the closest places of shelter for the moment. Then, with careful steps, he made his way toward the entrance and took up a place outside, standing as one of the potential protectors should anything else go awry so soon.

He could lament not teasing Aren D'Shade Aren D'Shade infront of Novac Lyrikal Novac Lyrikal supplie diwth tons of munition form Sergeant Omen Sergeant Omen later.

The entire incident was over so quickly that Aren almost felt cheated.

One moment, the ground had exploded upward and unleashed what appeared to be an ancient nightmare from somebody's exceptionally poor decision-making several thousand years ago. The next moment, every heavily armed person within several kilometers had collectively decided the problem no longer deserved the dignity of continued existence.

Aren watched the final burst of disruptor fire erase what remained of the creature and found herself staring at the empty space where it had been.

"...well." That was all she had. The word escaped quietly as the cheers of victory rolled across the settlement.

For a moment, she simply stood there, one hand resting on the strap of her discarded tool bag while her mind attempted to catch up with events. Somewhere nearby, refugees were being ushered toward the temple. Jedi were organizing people. Droids were moving civilians. Novac was recovering from whatever had happened when he attempted to communicate with the creature.

And the monster was gone, just gone. The practical part of her appreciated efficiency, though Aren was mildly offended she hadn't even gotten a chance to figure out what the thing was before someone had reduced it to a cautionary tale. Her gaze shifted toward Novac first. "Noted," she said dryly. "I'll add 'do not communicate with ancient horrors' to my growing list of life lessons."

Aren studied him briefly, making certain he was still upright before her attention moved elsewhere. Braze was helping direct refugees. Vohm-Raet was already checking the perimeter. The settlement had begun transitioning from panic to recovery with surprising speed.

Honestly, that was probably the most impressive part. The creature itself interested her far less than the fact that everyone already seemed to know what to do afterward. Aren let out a slow breath and bent to retrieve her tool bag. "Well, if the crisis is over..." Her eyes drifted toward the distant crater. "...and assuming nobody uncovers a second nightmare hiding underneath the first nightmare..."

The sentence trailed off as her attention settled on the damaged portions of the settlement. Broken equipment. Damaged structures. Construction machinery that had undoubtedly been showered with debris. Things she actually understood. Things she could fix. Aren adjusted the strap of her bag over one shoulder before glancing briefly toward Braze. "Nice to meet you, by the way."

The words arrived a little late. Again. At least this time she noticed. Then her attention shifted back toward the worksite and the collection of battered equipment scattered across it. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go find out how many machines just had a very bad day." Unlike ancient monstrosities, damaged machinery was a problem she actually knew how to solve.

"I suppose my assistance as a shield was entirely redundant. A humbling reminder that the galaxy rarely waits for a Jedi to find his footing" He paused near Jalen his dark eyes scanning the crowd to make sure no one was left out in the open.

"Is the perimeter secure inside, Jalen?"

"We're secure," Jalen assured. "I don't feel anything else. Don't sweat it. Good to have friends, yeah? Helps cover for your weaknesses... and we all have those. At least we can help clean up..."

Jalen turned his head towards the temple entrance.

"Coast is clear, but hang tight," he relayed. "May be potential bio-hazards. Don't know if this thing is toxic."

The Medic crossed his arms and turned his head vaguely in the direction of where the beast once was, now only a pile of refuse. Where had it come from? It seemed panicked from it's aura. Hungry, even. It could have been below the ground for a very long time... but how long was unclear.

"Tempo," he called back to get the attention of his companion, then turned back to Vohm. "I feel something, down there. Chambers. Several. Whatever facility that the creature was being contained within... Would you come with me? I'd like to investigate it."

Matthew remained where he was, watching as the beast was finally dispatched. Only then did he lift his mug and take a slow sip of his coffee, followed by a soft sigh.

He frowned, pale gaze moving over the worksite as the first fragile traces of calm began to settle back into place. Refugees were being guided away from the worst of the damage; soldiers and workers alike had begun to take stock of what had been broken, what had been spared, and what still threatened to give way beneath their feet.

Matthew set his mug down beside the one Shuklaar Kyrdol Shuklaar Kyrdol had abandoned earlier.

"Well," he murmured, more to himself than anyone else. "That rather spoiled the morning."

A moment later, his wings unfurled behind him in a broad sweep of white and faint prismatic sheen. Dust stirred beneath the motion as he stepped forward, then rose from the ground, taking flight to gain a better vantage over the crater the creature had left in its wake.

From above, Matthew circled wide, careful not to pass too low over the breach. His attention narrowed on the shape of the hole, the depth of it, and the way the earth had broken around its edges. He was looking for movement first, any sign that something else might be waiting below; then for unstable ground, exposed passages, machinery, bones, anything that suggested the beast had not been alone in the dark.

"Keep everyone back from the rim," Matthew called down, his voice carrying clearly over the disturbed earth. "Try not to approach until we know whether the ground will hold."

Matthew descended in a slow spiral, wings spread wide enough to keep the dust from rising too fiercely beneath him. His boots touched down several paces from the crater's edge, not near enough to test the wounded ground, but close enough to study the broken rim with a thoughtful frown.

He folded his wings only halfway, pale feathers still held loose behind him as his gaze moved from the crater to those gathered nearby.

"Thank you, all of you," Matthew said, his voice calm yet projected enough to cut through the last of the disorder without needing to rise. "That could have gone far worse."

His attention turned first toward Jalen Kai'el Jalen Kai'el and Vohm-Raet .

"Jalen, if you are willing, I would like you to take and investigation team below. I would rather we approach this with more care than curiosity alone Find those who would like to join you. Vohm-Raet, would you accompany him, or at least lend your senses to the first pass? If there is anything unnatural beneath us, I would prefer no one discovers it alone."

He turned slightly, looking towards many others.

"For those with droids, scanners, or engineering crews, I would be grateful for assistance along the rim. I would request your assitance in clearing the edge, and making it braced, and proven safe. Send machines first where possible. "

His eyes shifted toward the civilians being guided back from the worksite, the frightened faces, the workers lingering too near, the denizens of Refuge trying to understand whether the danger had truly passed.

"And I will need volunteers to remain above," Matthew continued. "Keep the civilians back. Help the denizens stay calm. If anything else moves, they are our first concern."

His expression softened as he looked toward Jonyna Si Jonyna Si , Braze Braze , Loomi Loomi , and Aren D'Shade Aren D'Shade .

"If any of you would rather stay topside and help guard the settlement, your presence would be welcome. "

Slinger had been busy in the cantina the night before. Doing his favourite past time, talking tall tales. He'd begun the night regailing his audience of the time he had overcome overwhelming odds against imperial forces, and ended with tales of his heroic deeds craming an entire village aboard his ship to evacuate them out of a war zone.

Sleeping off the hangover from getting drunk the night before in preparation, for to Slinger nothing beat the preparation for hard work than a stiff drink with the townspeople the night before. All in anticipation for the work to be done the next morning of course, well he guessed that would be this morning. Unfortunately, not only was he woken up with a colossal pounding in his head, but the commotion of what sounded like a krayt dragon.

Slinger had still been a little drunk and much too hungover to be much assistance during the slaying of the beast. It was ironic that as soon as the animal was silenced he felt he could open his eyes into the glaring light of day.

So, James had managed to find a sink and splash some water on his face, collected his hat from the fire place mantlepiece, his HUD glasses from the crooked resting place on the eyes of a fellow drinking companion, and reluctantly took his coat off the waitress he had gallantly offered it to sometime the night before.

Then he walked out of the cantina putting in his earpiece just in time for the instructions from Matthew of Valendale Matthew of Valendale

James paused wondering which option he should consider. He decided to wait a few moments while he got a sense of the lay of the land as it were. Not the next steps of the mission, but who was going where and in response to that where he would be needed most.

"Captain James 'Slinger' Antilles reporting in. Apologies for my absence, I was indisposed, happy to be of assistance in these future circumstances however, just let me know where I'm needed most."

"Tempo," he called back to get the attention of his companion, then turned back to Vohm. "I feel something, down there. Chambers. Several. Whatever facility that the creature was being contained within... Would you come with me? I'd like to investigate it."
"Young Tempo seemed quite determined to find a high place to shout from, and I would prefer he does not tumble from the rafters while trying to organize our guests. Let us go see to the living."
Tempo was a very small being, and as such he had sought higher ground the moment nervous feet started pressing inward.

The rafters above had seemed like the safest place to be. From up there, he could see the flow of people below, call out directions, and point toward open pockets in the crowd where others could move without crushing one another. His little voice carried surprisingly well from above over the shuffle of boots, murmured worries, and the occasional startled gasp.

Besides, Tempo had no desire to be mistakenly trampled by frightened people who could barely see past their own panic. Getting up there had been the easy part~ However, getting down was beginning to look much harder than he had expected...

He looked toward Jalen Kai'el Jalen Kai'el and Vohm-Raet, shaking his head hard enough that his ears nearly followed the motion.

"NOOOO WAY! You might not be able to see what creature popped outta the ground, but I sure did! I ain't going down there, Jalen. Let the Mandos and other gun toters go take a peek with their fancy scanners and such."

Tempo huffed, shaking his head in a frantic gesture of refusal before raising both hands and crossing them into a firm X over his chest to make his answer painfully clear. No. Absolutely no. Every possible shade of no. Of course, Jalen could not see the gesture, which made it feel a little wasted, but Tempo meant it all the same.

Then his attention shifted down toward the Gentle Giant below. His bravado thinned at the edges as he glanced from the rafters to the floor, then back again. The drop looked much taller now that he had to consider actually making it. A frown appeared n his face...

"Umm…" Tempo's fingers curled around the beam beneath him. "I'm kinda stuck. I'm afraid if I try to go back the way I came, I'll slip."

He peered down at Vohm-Raet, his ears lowering a touch.

"Can you help me get down, Master Jedi?"

"Aren't you a sight for sore eyes, tell me, how goes the hearts and minds campaign?"
"So far, so good." Jonyna chuckled.

She gestured to the Stag in the middle of pouring duracrete to form a massive foundation for a new house. "Trying to get back into the swing of how things used to be. I miss it, ya know? The days of the GA."

Vohm-Raet kept his arms folded tightly against his massive chest, his head tilted back as his dark eyes locked onto Tempo Tempo . The small delivery agent's frantic refusal to go underground brought a soft, rolling hum from the depths of the Herglic's throat. When the boy admitted he was stuck, the faint, dry wrinkles at the corners of Vohm's eyes deepened.

"Do not panic, young Tempo," Vohm-Raet rumbled, his voice a steady, low anchor that traveled up the wooden pillar. "The rafters will hold you, but I believe we have both had quite enough of gravity testing our dignity for one morning. Hold fast." With a slow, deliberate shift, Vohm-Raet stepped closer to the structural beam. He did not climb, nor did he make any sudden movements that might shake the roof.

Instead, he simply reached up. Because of his immense stature, his large, three-fingered hands easily reached a significant portion of the distance. He extended his arms fully, keeping his massive palms completely open for the young man to use as a platform.

"Just drop down, little friend," Vohm said softly, ensuring his voice remained calm and unhurried. "I promise you, I am entirely too wide to miss." He waited until Tempo slid off the beam and landed safely into his large grip. Vohm-Raet lowered his arms with exaggerated care, gently setting the small youth back onto the firm stone floor of the temple.

Only when Tempo's feet were securely planted did Vohm withdraw his hands, tucking them safely back into his oversized sleeves. Turning his bulk around, Vohm-Raet looked out the temple entrance toward Matthew of Valendale Matthew of Valendale , who had just landed after circling the crater.

The avian leader's request for an investigation team hung in the warm air. Jalen Kai'el Jalen Kai'el was clearly ready to descend into the newly uncovered chambers, but Vohm-Raet looked at the unstable edge of the crater, then down at his own enormous, heavy feet. A heavy, self-deprecating sigh escaped his blowhole.

"I must decline the invitation to explore the deeps, Leader Matthew," Vohm-Raet called out, his deep voice carrying a polite but firm across the clearing. He turned his gaze to Jalen, offering the younger Jedi a somber, apologetic bow of his head. "I fear my bulk would do far more to collapse those ancient ceilings than to preserve them. If I go down there, the engineers will spend their day digging me out of the rubble." He took a slow, heavy step away from the threshold, intentionally positioning his massive form near the entrance of the temple where the frightened refugees were still settling.

It was over before he knew it. Thats was good, less time for people to get hurt and it might make some feel better knowing that they could be protected at a moments notice.

Going up to Matthew of Valendale Matthew of Valendale and lifting higher on his tail to try and look in he asked. "Mind if i come with? Pretty sure I'd be madeat myself if I didn't go down." It was the explorer in him talking. He'd visited plenty of ruins and crashed frigates or corvettes. But this? Who knew what could be down there.

Before he gave matthew a chance to respond he called his hk droid over. Once it was standing by his side novac realized something, "Oh I haven't introduced you to him have I? matthew this is kairo, kairo this is matthew of valendale."

He took a moment to look both her and the stag over. The Stag held his interest for only a moment, not longer then was needed to appreciate it's work. The Gem in front of him took his interest only slightly longer, mostly to be polite. Slipping his uniform jacket off and handing it to an aid, and receiving a simple field cap instead of his peaked captain's hat.

Clapping his hands togethers, he went on. His face fell for a slight moment, recalling the new feeds at the time. "I do recall the heady days. When things made more sense." He took a moment to look down, then returned his eyes to hers with a smile. "But that's why we are here, to build. Why don't you walk me through this, most of my men and teams are already deploying to aid, but I don't think I have much to do."

"Jalen, if you are willing, I would like you to take and investigation team below. I would rather we approach this with more care than curiosity alone Find those who would like to join you. Vohm-Raet, would you accompany him, or at least lend your senses to the first pass? If there is anything unnatural beneath us, I would prefer no one discovers it alone.

"Was already planning on it, sir," Jalen relayed. "I'll relay what we find."

Jalen was ready to go, but the others seemed less so. Tempo was insistent that he'd rather not go down there, and Vohm rightly guessed that he was far too large. It seemed like he would be handling such a matter on his own at the moment.

That was okay.

"Don't worry, Master," he spoke to the whale-man. "I understand. And... Tempo, you don't have to come with. But I don't feel any more large presences within, so if the beast had friends I think they've been dead for a while. The choice is up to you though."

He wasn't gonna force him to do anything. With that, Jalen would advance towards the hole that had been left behind from the beast. The sludge of what remained of it would block the sight line for most, but not to one who could only see with the Force. Of course, along the way he gave a half-bow to Shuklaar Kyrdol Shuklaar Kyrdol to thank him for his services. Then he used the Force to telekinetically part the gelatinous mound in two and pushing them aside, revealing the gaping maw in the ground. There was lots of rubble, but the faint glow of a utilitarian hallway came into view. Half sundered by the emergence of the beast aside, it looked untouched.

Maybe for thousands of years.

Jalen, not one to wait for too long, slid down the slope of the hole and would proceed to the hallway. He'd let anyone else decide if they wished to follow...

Laphisto

High Commander of the Lilaste Order
The thunder of gunfire gradually died away, replaced by the sounds of shouted orders, moving equipment, and the distant rumble of construction machinery returning to life. Around the creature's corpse, Lilaste Order soldiers were already moving with purpose. Some approached the wreckage of the destroyed walker while others established security positions around the breach. The settlement had survived the attack, but the damage left behind was impossible to ignore.

Laphisto lowered his rifle and keyed his commlink. "Recovery teams, move in. Get inside that thing, or what's left of it. I want every crew member accounted for." His gaze lingered on the ruined walker partially buried beneath the creature's remains. "Wounded first. If anyone's still breathing, get them out. If not, bring our people home."

Acknowledgments immediately answered him. Medics, engineers, and infantry squads broke away from the perimeter and began moving toward the carcass carrying cutting torches, extraction equipment, and medical kits. Several soldiers disappeared into the torn remains of the beast while others started clearing debris from around the wrecked walker.

Only once those orders were issued did Laphisto turn his attention toward the massive opening left behind by the creature. The crater stretched deep beneath the settlement, exposing something none of them had expected to find. Broken stone and twisted earth framed a corridor below, faint artificial lighting still visible through the darkness despite what looked like centuries of abandonment. His ear flicked once before he activated the command net again. "Walker Two, Walker Three, Walker Four. Establish anchor points around that opening and create overlapping fields of fire. Every available weapon stays trained on that hole until further notice."

Across the worksite, the remaining walkers immediately began repositioning. Massive stabilizers drove into the ground while heavy weapon mounts rotated toward the breach. Infantry squads spread out around the crater's perimeter, establishing defensive positions as civilians, workers, and refugees were gradually moved further back from the danger zone. "If something else comes out of there I want it torn apart before it has a chance to reach the surface." The orders were simple. The soldiers carrying them out needed no further explanation.

By the time he secured his rifle against the magnetic mount on his shoulder, Matthew had already begun organizing a response while Jalen moved toward the exposed passage. Laphisto watched as the creature's remains were shifted aside, revealing more of the ancient structure hidden beneath Refuge. The corridor beyond looked remarkably intact considering what had just burst through it.

He approached the growing group near the crater's edge, his gaze shifting between Matthew of Valendale Matthew of Valendale , Jalen Kai'el Jalen Kai'el , and the others gathering for the investigation. "Are you really going down there? No preparation, no probes. nothhing?." His attention drifted briefly toward the exposed hallway before returning to the group. takign a soft sigh and grabbing at teh bridge of his nose

"I'm not looking to take over the operation, but if you're heading down there, you're going to need support. My men can provide engineers, medics, communications specialists, and additional security." Laphisto gestured toward several nearby Lilaste personnel already waiting for instructions. " more trained eyes down there won't hurt." His arms folded across his chest as he looked back toward the darkness beneath the settlement.

"We should also keep everybody on the same communications network. One frequency. One command channel. If someone finds something, everyone hears it. If someone runs into trouble, everyone hears that too." The ancient warrior studied the corridor for another moment while activity continued around them. Recovery teams worked around the corpse. Engineers reinforced the crater. Heavy weapons remained trained on the opening. What had begun as a construction project had quickly become something else entirely.

Shuklaar looked down at the hole in the ground the creature had apparently come from. Aran joined him where he and the droid were standing a ways off from the edge of the crater. Sensor spheres were thrown first into the crater by the troops nearby, noting that it was clear for the moment. RD-01 'Gar Sur'haai' Recon Droids were next, sending back direct feed of what was down there. "Looks like some kind of facility," said Aran, somewhat unnecessarily.

"SD-01R 'Gar Ram'ser' Siege Droids first, everyone else behind, tactical shields," he responded as he glanced at the picture-in-picture-feeds from the droids. "No one else dies today, Not while we can help it." Aran nodded beside him as orders went out over the battlenet and the droids took their place as first in the combat spaced formation assembling around the crater with R/S-01MR 'Nuhaatyc' Reconnaissance/Support Droid and ID-01MR 'Gar Verd' Infantry Droids and Shocktroopers with 'Lirsa' Tactical/Riot Shields.

The Mandalorians assembled around the crater all waited patiently for their droids' to relay back that there was nothing in there immediately trying to bring about their untimely destruction. Shuklaar took this pause as an opportunity to rendezvous with the entry team. "Whatever happens down there, you turn it to dust if we can't keep it contained. That's a shabla order,"

"If it comes down to taking the heat for disobeying your orders or leaving you down there to die, I hope you know by now which shabla choice I'm going to make," fired back Aran. "Jhira'll have my shabla head if I let you die down there, right after she resurrects you and then kill you again for being such a di'kut."

Shuklaar inclined his head as he considered what Aran just said, "So turn this place to ash after you pull out shebse out of there then, vod." Aran's chuckle from the other end put Shuklaar at ease. It was time to do what Mandalorians did best, killing everyone else's monsters.

“I think you’re correct, Valor.” Ko agreed with what the echani had to say. “I’m sure the mystery will reveal itself so long as we follow the tracks.” The Kel Dor added before walking along the sporadic path laid out by the gonk droids.

As they did Ko would offer a hand to the underbrush that had been trampled by the slow moving stampede of heavy metal boxes. Using his appendage to focus his energy outwards towards the vegetation letting it reshape and heal back to a natural state. Mending and regrowing broken branches and leaves of the wild shrubbery.

“Heh, droids can be full of mischief sometimes can’t they? Whenever we find them we should see to it that they walk in a single file.” Believing it would be quicker and causing less collateral damage.

After a long enough track the belied the not so brisk pace of the missing gonk droids they were trailing a noise broke through the greenery. “...Gonk…”

“Hear that? We must be close finally.” Only a few more steps and the pair would finally cross into a clearing in the woods that revealed where the Gonk droids have ended up. It was a deep blue pool of water with steam billowing out from it. The clearing itself felt a few degrees hotter and humid. It was a hot spring of some kind. Something Ko didn’t expect to find on an artificial celestial body like Refuge.

Ko looked back to Valor before looking back to the droids curiously. All around the missing gonk droids were lounging around in the hot water along with a small collection of various animals that were relaxing in the hot water. “This wasn't quite what I expected…” With the pair now visible to the droids some of them began to move towards the Jedi. Pulling themselves from the hot water as if eager for new directions.
