- Field Disruption: The Tuk’ata-class’ field disruptor allows the craft to slip underneath or bypass shields. In practice, this can be used to initiate close-ranged attack runs on a large warship’s hull. However, it is not a practical tactic to apply against small craft or vessels with conformal shielding.
- Electronic Warfare: Featuring a comprehensive suite of electronic warfare systems, the Tuk’ata-class can utilize these systems to dazzling effect in virtually any given battlespace, confusing missile tracking systems, jamming enemy sensors, disrupting targeting systems, and more. In effect, judicious application of these systems can make the craft an extreme, yet hyper-lethal annoyance to enemy gunners, pilots, bridge officers, and other naval crewmen.
- SLAM Overdrive: The Tuk’ata-class’ SLAM is an inherently unoptimized system, and as such, it can only be used in short bursts of less than ten consecutive seconds. Furthermore, the craft’s weapons can not be utilized while it is active.
- Rare: Unlike its older counterpart, the amplified variant of the Tuk’ata-class is very rare. As such, it can not be deployed en masse with any real responsibility.
A derivative craft of the Tuk’ata-class Sith-Imperial Interceptor, the Tuk’ata-class Sith-Imperial Hyper Interceptor was produced to supplement the Empire’s Starfighter Corps with an interceptor for select pilots, typically aces or even Sith. The Hyper variant of the Tuk’ata-class is designed to push the envelope on performance, further overclocking the craft’s engines to achieve even greater speeds and turning performance than the basic variant. In addition, the craft also features an advanced suite of electronic warfare, stealth, and anti-stealth systems. However, the craft’s electrifying performance and bleeding edge features come at the cost of availability. Unlike its older counterpart, the Hyper variant is not produced in large numbers, and as such can not be deployed in squadron-sized formations.
Nevertheless, the Hyper variant is an extremely capable interceptor, especially when piloted by a skilled starfighter ace.
