Invasion The Liberation of Ossus [Republic vs. Sith Empire]

Jedi Academy, Crashed Gunship.

Her little trick did not work, all Sith learned earlier to create a barrier with the force to prevent from such covert attacks. Less a rival shut down or even ruin your lightsaber before the battle had even begun. She was weak, and her death at hand. Arcturus raised his blade ready to strike, then at the last moment, stopped. Another Jedi approached. Arcturus could feel him in the force. He shut down his lightsaber then he jumped down off the gunship, then hid behind a tree. As the fellow Jedi called out to his wounded friend. "She is a tad out of commission." Arcturus said stepping out in front of @Tyr-Kyr Magnus. "But you'll find me much more entertaining company." His red lightsaber ignited with a snap-hiss. Then he charged at Tyr-Kyr, swinging his blade down in a hard vertical slash.

Republic shuttle, Ysannan mission.

Ella finished walking along the rows of soldiers and stopped at Master Kawakami's side. She felt the tension of the Jedi Knight and gave her a reassuring smile. "It's okay Master, you have me and Sochi to help you." Giving Aika a wink, Ella said, "Shall we get air borne? What's our LZ?"

From the natural darkness of the gloom chamber came forth beings of unnatural shadow, twenty one in total created a barrier between the intruder and the Emperor. They did not attack, nor made any aggressive move towards the intruder, but merely observed him with wide unblinking orbs. "How bold of you, to come before one who twists the minds of others." The Emperor cracked open a single eye, quickly analyzing Talus' form before letting his eyelid shut again. "A Jedi? Or something more? Hrmmm...." The Emperor seemed to half-whisper these words, as his mind was more fixated on spreading his cancerous madness to those who would set foot near the Library. The Emperor gently raised one hand up, his palm facing the intruder as the Ethereal Slaves suddenly perked up as if listening to a far away sound that no mortal could possibly attempt to hear.

"Kill him."

Suddenly one of the lanky shadow men lunged with unnatural speed that it's wiry frame belied, his elongated fingers morphing into monstrous claws that could tear through all but the toughest of armor. The other slaves did not move, and only watched their comrade leap at the intruder.

Saran stood, dizzy, as @[member="Arcturus Procyon"] charged off to face another Jedi, who she could only hope was @[member="Tyr-Kyr Magnus"]. Pulling a lightsaber she had kept from a defeated Sith, Saran sent it flying at the apprentice. The crimson blade spun through the air, heading to hit it's rather between the shoulder blades. However, as soon as it hit, Saran would call it back, deactive.

Diana made her way through the soldiers staying within the Ruins in a matter of minutes. She was like a bolt of red lightning that dashed its way through the enemy lines. She moved quickly, and with no aid of any weapons. Her tiny fists struck weak points within the armor of the Sth troopers, a jab to the throat here, a powerful force enhanced punch to the gullet their.

The soldiers tried their very best to take her down, firing their blasters and attempting to grab the lithe and tiny girl. Each time however Diana moved like a dragon within the water, dodging and weaving between every attack that was thrown at her. It was not long before the garrison within the Ruins was completely and entirely dispatched, most of them writhing on the ground with several broken bones. None of them however lay dead.

The red haired Jedi made her way further into the temple ruins, not bother to reply to @[member="Meta "]or anyone else that contacted her through the force.

Quickly the Jedi made her way to the center of the Academy, the place where Kol Skywalker had been slain in battle. With listless bright eyes she looked around the scene of the battle, now covered in moss and other plant life. A frown crossed her face as she began to sense darkness in the distance. She twirled around in a single step and watched as the forest began to burn a bright orange, fires being lit throughout the jungle.

Diana raised an eyebrow. They were burning the jungle, but why? The ruins were in the middle of no where, no settlements were here, nothing of value, a fire would only serve to do one thing...intimidation. Diana's eyes became Listless once again, watching as the fires spread within the forest.

The Jedi dropped to her knee's, drawing both of her lightsabers and placing them in her lap underneath her palms. She waited for her opponent, whoever that might have been @[member="Krag"] @[member="Ravage"].

Ossus|Jedi Academy|Helping Saran
A red flash. The quick humming of a lightsaber switching on. Tyr-Kyr was being attacked, by a Dark Jedi. Instinct overtaking reason, Tyr-Kyr drew his lightsaber, the blue hue meeting the red in the darkness. The blades clashed and Tyr-Kyr tightly grasped his lightsaber with two hands and glared at the drak opponent before him. With a push Tyr-Kyr leap back away from the Sith and took a defensive stance, closely watching his opponent. "Where is She." Tyr-Kyr said in a cold voice as he dropped his lightsaber into the onehanded Makashi stance. He had known that Dark Jedi would be present here, but he had only expected them to be attacked places of importance like the Temple, not here at the crumbling ruins of the Academy. A bead of sweat began to drop from his face, but it was quickly washed away by the heavy rainfall that had enveloped the area.

Tyr-Kyr knew not who this evil being was, but he could not fail here. Not when the life of another rested in his hands.

Galactic Republic, Front Lines

Jak leapt to avoid the Sith thug, on the front line of battle. "Where is he?" was the thought that Jak continuously thrust into the mind of every hostile being he faced before striking down. He yelled out on the battlefield and struck down as many hostiles as he could. He felt a faint whisper in the Force and sprinted the way that it came from. Running, not caring, or seeing, or fighting, only running.

The Great Jedi Library

Jak saw what happened as soon as the command was given.

"Kill him"

He glared at the man who gave the command and before thinking he shouted ignorantly at him "Cease! Now! before you can regret it!"

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
En Route to Yessan Settlement

The small voice ringing into her ears forced Aika to open her eyes, turning to her side to notice the padawan giving her a playful wink. 'Master' she was called... Was she anywhere near ready to be called such a thing? Was she even qualified to lead any type of mission, let alone one to help retake the original home of the Jedi. With all of her being, Aika wanted to be able to reassure the girl that they'd be able to do their own portion just fine. She wanted to, but didn't know how to. Instead, she rubbed at her temples before giving a half-hearted laugh. "Master is....too much. Feel free to call me Aika. Aika is....just fine. And we probably should get moving. Sitting here isn't going to help us bring back Ossus. By the way, your name was.....Ella Nova-san. Correct?"

Oh, she hoped that was right... The last thing she needed was to feel dumb in front of one who seemingly already had a high opinion of her.

As Vulpesen moved towards the Acadamy, he caught site of @[member="Diana Moridena"], ripping through the enemy ranks. She was a familiar face, but the last time they had met, he had been a jedi for only five weeks. For a moment, he was tempted to follow her, but he instead went after @[member="Darc Xavior Talus"]. He didn't fully trust this new person, but he was obviously was working with them, something Vulpesen found rather comforting due to the power that seemed to radiate from him. As he came nearer to @Kain Zambrano, he felt the effects of the force insanity take hold. Whats worse was that it started happening as a few sith started to defend themselves against the jedi's advance. "Why can't I stay sane? Just for one battle!" He growled at his revelation then let the madness take a hold of him, careful not to fall too deeply into the sith's control. As his mind lost conscious thought, Vulpesen's green blades became a deadly whirlwind, knocking down the unfortunate acolytes as if they were bowling pins, allowing the the shadow to continue on his way.

As he reached Judas, he stopped by the mans side, settling himself and retaking command over his mind as he pushed away the sith lord's power. As close to insanity as he might be, Vulpesen had no lack of willpower. "I figured you'd like a little back up. I doubt our friend inside will fight alone." As he finished speaking, Vulpesen looked around the area. amazed by the looks of the place. If he wasn't about to get himself in a fight with the toughest opponent yet, then he might have actually been stricken with awe. His fingers danced on the hilt of his blade, preparing for whatever may come.

Arcturus smiled at the concerned Jedi. "Your little friend is in that gunship." He said pointing his red lightsaber at the gunship not ten feet from him. Sure enough to the wounded Jedi inside @[member="Saran Drast"], tried throwing her lightsaber at him. Arcturus spun and deflected it effortlessly. "Still kicking too." He smiled and brought his lightsaber up in both hands to his shoulders in a dominant Form V stance. He used the force and focused on Tyr-Kyr. Arcturus shifted forwards, then using gravity and his arm strength, swung the red blade again striking at @[member="Tyr-Kyr Magnus"], going for his head.

Alan

Blessed are the peacemakers
There was a loud, thunderous boom as Tracyn leapt out of the gunship, beating the troopers and even Josh to boots on the ground. He was standing in a burning forest, the fires reflecting off of his polished armor and visor. He turned his head, the T-shaped visor stoicly remaining still. He inhaled deeply, and walked towards the center of the fire, the fire of hatred and anger and rage. Graug stepped into his path, but they were torn apart by his mighty hand to hand prowess alone. Bolts were fired at him, but he simply moved out of the way, seeming to walk, while in fact cutting through the Graug. He by no means did any real damage to the massive amounts of Graug there, but enough to cut a path to his real target.

@[member="Krag"].

The Graug around him saw his prowess, and they saw him point to Krag. They seemed to wait for the warrior to make a claim to battle or to threaten Krag. Tracyn just merely pointed at Krag, and then spoke from beneath his helmet.

"Remember me, Krag?"
Tracyn said calmly, clearing his mind for the upcoming fight, if Krag so chose to accept his challenge. Krag and him had unfinished business to attend to. And Tracyn wanted to punch him ever so badly, once more. He wanted to feel the monster writhe in pain, and to finally feel at peace again, like the brief moment he felt not so long ago. Tracyn felt it, he felt him feel...empty and clear inside after hitting him. He smiled beneath his helmet, anticipating a fantastic fight. And Krag was definitely not one to refuse a challenge.

OOC:
ooooh u gon ged it boi

The red lightsaber switched off and came back to her hand. Saran grimaced and forced herself to remain standing. Reaching into the force for energy, she began to use both blades to cut a bigger hole in the gunship. That done, she put the red blade away and reached out for the slabs of durasteel that were cut from the ship's hull. Raising them up between her and @[member="Arcturus Procyon"], she moved to where she could get a better chance of striking.

Tyr-Kyr watched as the lightsaber came flying from the wreckage. A wave of relief washed over him, now knowing that Saran was indeed still alive, but for how long Tyr-Kyr could not say. The Sith then Rushed Tyr-Kyr with immense speed using the Djem So style. Tyr-Kyr was impressed he could use a saber form that focuses on strength with such great speed, however; as Tyr-Kyr too was a user of the Djem So style he knew it's faults. Tyr-Kyr stayed in the Makashi stance, a form developed specifically for one on one saber duels, and as the Sith approached and struck downward with an immense strength, Tyr-Kyr stepped slightly to the side and parried the blow before regaining his position and quickly striking at the Sith.

As Diana expected, the fires were not there to burn anything down. Yet she was wrong about the purpose, the fires were not solely there for the intimidation but to give Krag an edge in combat. As a fire sorcerer, Krag's powers were enhanced by the raging flames that were now engulfing the jungle. Instead of using more of his strength to create new flames, he could use much less power and shape the fires around him. Krag marched up to the female knight who now sat on the ground with her sabers in her lap and he grinned, his free hand tapping the top of the decapitated head hanging from his side. "Hello...Jedi slime" Krag said, his thunderous voice but a whisper when compared to the raging flames in the jungle.

It was as Krag raised his saber for combat that another, all too familiar voice, pierced through the fires. Krag turned, his yellow eyes scorching through smoke in the air and piercing into Tracyn. Krag snorted, his anger rising at the remembrance of the his defeat at the Jedi's hands when the Army of Light attacked Sith land. Rolling his shoulders back, Krag decided to give the warrior an insult like no other. Turning back to Delila, Krag brushed off the Jedi as if he were not even a challenge "I have more worthy opponents. Ravage, destroy him."

With that, Krag spun back towards Delila and brought his saber down to his side "You will die first."

Ravage hid himself among the foliage of the jungle as he could taste the purity of light upon the wind as Diana and Tracyn were near. He watched and waited under the shade of the trees and within the bushes and shrubs. His saliva hung from his maw and dripped onto the ground, hissing and sizzling on contact. Behind Ravage, crawled a few Graug soldiers, clad in armor, ready to strike with Ravage.

As Krag distracted Tracyn, Ravage saw fit to strike. The Graug with him fired upon @[member="Tracyn Ordo"]'s rear as Ravage moved through the foliage towards him, hidden completely by the jungle's foliage.

GREAT JEDI LIBRARY - THE TREELINE
@[member="Cameron Centurion"]

Before Daella could step out of the treeline, immeasurable numbers of Graug appeared and began to attack Republic forces. At that moment, the battle truly began as chaos took hold. Blaster bolts zipped around from all directions. Soldiers encamped on a hill rained down artillery that shook the ground. Republic soldiers around the Great Jedi Library engaged the Graug and the battle soon enveloped the entire Library.

For the moment, Daella was just one small part of the chaos. Her group was one of many that had been shot down - and they were not far from the Great Jedi Temple. Several Graug quickly surrounded Daella’s strike team.

When @[member="Tyr-Kyr Magnus"] asked to go help a Jedi in distress, Daella gave a nod while looking at the closest Graug to the gunship. Just as that Graug pulled the trigger to his blaster rifle, Daella ignited her yellow-bladed lightsaber and deflected the blast to another Graug. She then leaped forward to pierce the Graug’s head before it could fire again.

The rest of the Graug unleashed a barrage of blaster fire. Daella stood her ground just a few meters from the downed gunship as she continued to block blaster fire. She kept one eye on the youngest of the group, @[member="Florin Armetta"].

The rate of fire began to lessen as the Graug expended their blaster’s power cells. At that moment, Daella sped toward the nearest Graug and stabbed it in the chest. The beast continued to squirm as Daella pressed her shoulder against it. Her face remained still through as she pushed the Graug away.

Spotting another one just nearby, Daella slashed down on the Graug. Her eyes tensed as the creature roared in pain. The few left nearby that lived began bellowing in their native language. Daella looked up toward them. Three in total. The Graug did not flinch.

Each of the surviving Graug reloaded a new power cell and immediately began shooting once more. Their stance was firm and unyielding. One blast struck Daella’s left shoulder plate - tearing it off. The Jedi Knight charged forward as more bolts rushed toward her. In three swift, precise strikes, Daella fell the three remaining warriors.

Turning to Florin, Daella looked at the boy for a couple seconds in a quick examination of his condition. She then glanced at each of the other soldiers and Jedi remaining in her strike team. A few Republic soldiers died in the fight. Some had been wounded. Many of them managed to take down a Graug.

Just a second after the skirmish concluded though, a fire erupt within the jungle according to the will of @[member="Krag"]. Daella quickly turned to see the inferno light up the jungle. The radiating heat washed over Daella’s face and caused her to turn away.

To the ruins!” yelled Daella so that those in her strike team would hear.

As the battle raged on, Daella began to run toward the looming Library. A few of the mass driver shots from afar struck not too far from Daella - causing her to stumble for a second. Yet, the Jedi continued to recover after each slip up - her resolute eyes locked onto the Library. The machinations of @[member="Kaine Zambrano"] did not yet seem to faze the woman - a trait one such as @[member="Karin Dorn"] witnessed.

Diana raised her head slowly and allowed her eyes to drift open with slow labored movements. The glowing orbs of her iris' reflected the orange light of the flames almost artistically as they settled upon the monster that now stood before her. The Jedi Knight's expression remained stoic, almost neutral one could say and as the Sith threatened her with death the woman did not even budge an inch. Her hands did not grow tighter, he muscles did not contract, and she seemed to be entirely at ease.

“I have killed many of your kind Sith.” She stared at him with hauntingly soul full eyes, her gaze boring into him like a drill. “I urge you. Lay down your weapons. Redeem yourself. You have a chance, as all Sith do, to return to the light.”

Unmoving and seemingly unphased by the massive Sith creature before her Diana spoke, no urgency in her voice but instead completely neutrality. “Take it.”

The last of her words were almost a command, her voice stern, as if talking to a wayward child. Diana did not want to kill again. She had Killed Velok, she had helped kill Karin and many other Sith, she did not want to do so again.

A deep laugh emerged from the back of Krag's throat as he began to call the darkside to him "You Jedi try and bury your anger and your hate...but such power is too strong to be contained." As Krag summoned more and more energy to him, the flames that whipped around the jungle seemed to reach towards the Graug Knight like willing servants raising their hands to their master "I kill first borns while their mothers watch. I turn cities into ash. I even rip the souls from little girls just for their weakness; and from now until the end of the galaxy, your pitiful and weak existence will never allow you to understand the power it gives me. When I look at the Jedi, I see a society of weakness...I plan on breeding a new era of galactic history where the strong rule and the weak are crushed under their boot. A strong galaxy...a Graug galaxy and there is nothing anyone can do to stop me." Krag's words were full of hate, anger and rage that was breed from the bottom of his soul. The Graug were evil things by nature, long since tainted by the ways of the darkside and had no concept of how the lightside could possibly be stronger.

Gripping the dead Padawan's head hard Krag gave a grin of satisfaction "Soon, your head will join her's." then, without even the slightest warning, Krag whipped his free hand forward. The motion sent ripples through the force and commanded the flames of the Jungle to create a vortex of searing flames that spiraled towards the Jedi Knight.

En route to Jedi Library w/ Jedi Strike Team

Determined.

Ever since her conversation with a lord of the dark side, Kiskla had been more resolute in her path. He had mentioned that there were a lack of great Jedi and she was determined to prove him wrong whether it be her directly, or her enabling the actions of others.

The landing had been shaky, and Kiskla, ever the critic, had been grumbling about the differences if she had been piloting. Not that she was a good pilot because she was a smooth driver. She was just fast and unorthodox. Which meant she was untouchable in the skies. Those skills translated to her combat on ground, which is what she'd be doing today.
The Republic were in the skies, but the Jedi were on the ground for their roots. In fact, she was surprised they hadn't been met with a brigade above the Sith inhabited planet. But now, overhead, there was a canopy of energy igniting the sky. Selective bits of motivational speeches flashed in her memory and she glanced to her right at her Padawan. @[member="Dar'rak"] was progressing rapidly, and she had no doubts that he was more than ready for facing real Sith. This, was part of his trials for knighthood.

With other Jedi, the Master poured from the carrier onto the ground of the ancient Jedi planet. Immediately, the Force signatures of Ossus was tangible. The presences around her fuelled the deity of light, and her own prowess. She would need all the light she could to keep the darkness within her perfectly balanced to manipulate her weapon of choice. She was an agent of the force, but a warrior with her blade. Rain streaked across her face as her lithe body moved with the agility it was trained to demonstrate. Serious ground was covered in minutes as she advanced, confident her reptilian Padawan would be at her heels at least.

Fear was tangible from both sides. Death was felt from both sides. There was an attachment for both sides. To the Jedi, this was their home. To the Sith, this was their victory.

To the Jedi, it was to be their victory.

Flames erupted around the outskirts and dialogue flashed before her eyes. The Jedi were supposed to be emotionally compromised at this action. It was a distraction.

Another Graug crumpled.

With the onslaught of blaster fire, the young woman was using Soresu to deflect the bolts of energy. Each one that fired at her, was aimed right back to their origin. Many toppled off their beasts, being trampled underfoot. Her blade bit between one of the opposing side's armour, and she could feel the slight resistance of their bones before she was once again gone from that scene. She was light on her feet, and deadly with her precision. @[member="Daella Apparine"]'s instruction was both clear and obvious. Along with the team, the blonde fought.

She had been lost in the heat of battle, that when she saw the four domes of the great library ahead a small smile surfaced. Behind her, was a wake of corpses. In front of her, was a sea of the able. Beside her, was an army of capability. She would help those.

To give herself accuracy, she accelerated her speed to be just before the primary Jedi strike team and burst from the tree line like a rejected forest sprite.
For a physically deceiving petite person, Kiskla was a mountain the the Force. And, she needed to remind people from time to time. She had been an invalid of the Republic until recently, and now they would be thankful for the termination of her hiatus.

Cover me. Kiskla instructed to Dar'rak who was less her Padawan today, and more her partner. And now, she needed his blade as she gathered up enough energy to clear a radius.

The graugs were one thing, and now they were facing more of the Emperor's opposition. Like a burning ball of energy, Kiskla centred her focus to the build up inside her. She waited until she felt an adequate culmination of light particles that would bend at her command. Within seconds of her instruction to her Padawan, a powerful burst radiated from her palms and outward. The current rolled across the surface, uprooting bits of grass and knocking against the first and second wave of Sith soldiers and streaming to the bottom of the massive stone stairs, although dwindling in power the farther it reached.

This was to give the soldiers fighting along side her a moment of advantage against their opposition. On a good day, that could have cleared miles but she had a feeling she'd need to conserve her energies for elsewhere today.

@[member="Cameron Centurion"]

The flames stopped. Another had raised their arms to manipulate them. No longer did they surge toward the Jedi Knight, instead, they stopped mid-spiral, someone was fighting Krag in a mental battle to control the flames.

And with that, the soldiers under DragonsFlame's regime attacked the Graug. Blaster fire was everywhere, chaos had erupted on Ossus. The Graug would be unable to interfere on behalf of Krag and his partner, or risk getting shot in the back.

Josh stood from a distance, his eyes closed, his fists clenched, not allowing Krag to touch his fellow Jedi.
