STANDARD FEATURES
  • Luft Class Life support systems offer best in class atmospheric controls for the entirety of the vessel. This includes spanning across all three sections of the SSD allowing for each bulkhead or even individual compartments and rooms to have a custom temperature, atmospheric composition, gravity, or even pressure.
  • Multiple Zeus Class Isotope-5A Reactor Systems across the vessel provide immense power base for the entirety of the vessel. Each of these separate systems is a primary Isotope-5A Reactor with supporting micro-reactors to allow for power to be scaled up exponentially by operators of the vessel. This allows for the vessel to sip on fuel levels operating at peak efficiency with minimum power output or at maximum full power to make this vessel have energy level outputs greater than some stars.
  • Wind Talker Class Communications Array offers best in class standardized communications in the galaxy. Able to interface roughly with most if not all widely available communications technology, this comms array offers a variety of methods to communicate from low security to the highest, and even a few select technologies requiring very specific equipment to even detect (quantum communication technologies).
  • Offers standard countermeasure options for missiles and other guided weapon systems, including chaff, flares, and other standard active and passive defenses.
  • Carries a mixture of F-22 "Star Raptor", B-1 "Bone" Bomber, AT-1, AT-2 and AT-3 squadrons allowing for a very mixed fighter and support craft deployment. This allows for a fairly balanced deployments and much flexibility when it comes to assigning this vessel to mission profiles. And while it can dock with larger vessels or even take smaller capital vessels aboard it isn't meant to carry such vessels, giving it extra options when operating in environments that are already occupied.
  • State of the art automatic fire suppression and control systems including both automatic dispensers of suppressant, alongside with automated droids to otherwise fight fires aboard the vessel.
  • Cargo bay for this ship is large enough to carry several Division level units aboard including their vehicles with facilities to house, support, and otherwise create logistical supplies to ensure said units can conduct operations.
  • Primary and secondary drives are FIE-1 and FIE-2 engines scaled up for such a massive vessel. These drives bring their ability to maximize thrust efficiency, output, and control sets the gold standard for how vessels should handle.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Hawk Eye and Eagle Eye Targeting and Fire Control Systems offer second to none in weapons control, target acquisition and generating shooting solutions. This is due to their ability to utilize Multi-Lock Technology wherein they use multiple types of sensors to acquire and then lock onto targets such as optical, infrared, radar, lidar, or even direct targeting lasers. These onboard systems can essentially spot a target visible to them or their sensors, acquire a shooting solution that is more accurate than most other systems as it is back checked across multiple different sensors. This gives gunners the best chance for a first strike hit and possible kill compared to any other system on the market.
  • Spectrum Cyber Warfare and Electronic Warfare suite offers second to none offensive and defensive options when it comes to communications and electronic warfare. This allows for the ship to utilize a variety of jammers, sensors to counteract enemy jamming, cyber attacks, firewall protections and an active communication protection system. This also allows for the ship to use passive and active sensor scans to find enemy critical points on other ships based on readings gathered from these vessels, such as reactors, radars, communications arrays, shield generators, or even engines utilizing various energy radiation sensors to detect the sources and calculate their points of origin within a range. This combined with a library of petabytes of cyber attacks, communications technologies, ship classes and design specifications, and much more allows the ship to be a true lord of war on the cyber and electronic warfare front.
  • Joint Battle Command and Control System allows for commanders of this vessel to have the ability to not only coordinate with all forces both in orbit and on the planet, but also integrate any communications technology into the communications network without sacrificing network security. This "middle man" of sorts allows for each communications piece of technology operate to its fullest extent of encryption and battle command capabilities, decrypting the information at the central hub and allowing it to be broadcast through the rest of the command network by copying it and encrypting it to match each singular communication system. This allows the entire command network to work with a variety of forces with unstandardized communications equipment and coordinate them seamlessly.
  • Jettison system aboard the vessel has the capability to identify various volatile pieces of technology aboard the vessel and safely eject them to prevent a massive explosion inside the vessel. This allows for catastrophic damage of components internally to not spell immediate doom for the entire ship and even has an option to engage secondary systems to otherwise render said pieces inert and dead immediately after ejection so that they don't become a danger to the surrounding environment. This kill switch will allow for these ejected pieces of technology to safely dissipate their energy and/or self destruct without causing a blast that can be seen from the next system. These even include the ammunition dumps as if fires in these cannot be extinguished the ship will dump munitions at risk to avoid damage to the ship.
  • Star Destroyer is actually composed of three separate sections that can separate and operate independently in system should the captain decide to use this. First section that is the front of the ship is the CSS Freedom, and is the mainly offensive portion of the ship containing the heaviest weapons from the vessel. Second section of the vessel, CSS Independence, contains two of the three heavy Svalinn Class Shield Generators allowing for the vessel to not only project a shield around itself but also use custom projections to assist in protecting surrounding vessels. This is usually considered the defensive portion of the vessel. The third section, CSS Brighter Future, is the primary drive systems and cargo section of the vessel. This is where the primary hangars, storage, and passenger bays are. This split allows for the vessel to enter system and accomplish three separate missions much more efficiently (however less effectively) than if the vessel were to tackle each mission one at a time. This means the CSS Freedom can use its weapons to smash a hole in the enemy formations and becoming a slower moving heavy artillery, while CSS Independence supports the main body of the fleet with defensive shields and long range missile attacks. Finally while all that is happening in orbit above, CSS Brighter Future can initiate a planetary landing and begin deploying combat troops, supplies, vehicles, fighters, and whatever else she was carrying to the fight on the planet. And each of these sections is linked together to allow coordination from a single point of the command bridge. This is why the ship has technically four names, as each section is technically considered a spacefaring vessel when separated, and the entirety of the ship has it's own name when all sections are together.
  • Onboard molecular furnaces allow the ship to also support long term combat operations so long as it's fed materials. This allows the ship to produce most smaller scale items such as spare parts, battle droids, tanks, small craft and other similar items. This however requires the ship to either be landed on the surface of a planet or otherwise deployed to a stabilized location as safety inhibitors will immediately shut down the furnace should they detect the ship beginning to accelerate or otherwise move. This is to ensure that the furnace is not hit while the ship is in some kind of move as the rear section of the vessel lacks an independent shield, requiring armor alone to keep it protected when separated. This also cannot replace or otherwise produce replacement vessels in combat as the furnace requires significant power to operate and to do so would draw power from the weapons, shields or drives of the vessel.
  • Duraplast-E coating of the vessel gives it a much smaller radar and sensor cross section allowing for the vessel to appear smaller than it is outside of visual range. This is accomplished due to Duraplast-E's ability to absorb many forms of radiation both internally and externally. This gives the ship a slight advantage in that it allows for many sensor sweeps of an area getting scattered results and when combined with the lower protective layers prevents internal scanning entirely. This also includes force users as they will struggle to even see the vessel through the force with one of its protective layers in the composite armor essentially blocking their senses. However as the Duraplast is burned away through either weapons fire or atmospheric entry (see the rear section that has no shield), this feature becomes degraded before eventually disappearing entirely.
  • Ship contains a modified Voyager Class AI/Droid Brain. This droid brain allows for many of the ship systems to be automated and done by autonomous drones reducing the necessary crew requirements. How the Droid Brain is modified however is that by utilizing experimental Quantum Computing Technology, the AI that is present onboard the primary Brain to be able to act and control operations aboard the other sections regardless if they are physically connected or not. And due to the incorporation of this specific technology, this cannot be jammed or otherwise denied without physically destroying the necessary systems.
STRENGTHS
  • Premium selection of firepower: While the CSS Forward Unto Dawn may carry much less than a variety of other Super Class Star Destroyers, none of her weapons should be discounted. The Mjolnir Cannons, Achilles Turbolasers, and especially the Thor PPCs are some of the most fearsome weapons ever devised. These weapons with the backup of smaller and more versatile weapons payload give the Super Class Star Destroyer a fearsome reputation when in battle against smaller or equal sized opponents. She brings the pain, and god help anyone on the receiving end.
  • Heavily Armored and Shielded: The composite armor plating and shields of the vessel have been optimized to provide much better and wider range of protection against threats. This alongside the Svalinn Shield Generators ability to actually project literal shield walls to protect friendly forces nearby give it the ability to support other vessels quite well. And it does this without sacrificing speed or mobility.
  • More than just a single ship: This ship's real ace in the hole is the ability to split apart and cover multiple roles in the battlespace. This is especially useful when it is leading the charge to break a planetary blockade, allowing the vessel to punch through, before deploying this ability. This allows for the offensive section to break free and become a mobile heavy artillery vessel that will brutalize and punish any forces that attempt to shut this breach, while the shield section becomes a mobile shield station to protect not only itself but surrounding support vessels while delivering missile support. And finally while all that is happening in orbit, the rear section will make planetfall and begin landing ground troops. This allows for this vessel to tackle three separate objectives at the same time and do so effectively without wasting time of doing each in turn.
  • An excellent commander: This ship also excels in coordinating other vessels and acting as a communications link for massive fleets with a variety of communications systems. With the Wind Talker Class Comm Array, the JBC2P, actively secured by a Spectrum CWEW unit, fleet commanders will be able to not only effectively keep their communications as secure as possible, but also allow for a flow of information to all units that is unprecedented. In other words, this is any fleet commander's dream flagship when it comes to Communications, Command and Control capabilities.
  • A one ship mobile supply train: This ship also has the capabilities to deploy massive forces and then keep them supplied and supported with all the necessary holds, facilities, and the ability to produce replacement parts, small craft and up to medium sized vehicles once deployed to the planet. Combine this with the ability to already carry an impressive and flexible small craft contingent, and provide fire support while landed and also reasonably defend itself makes it the perfect staging base for an invasion force, or for a relief element meant to reinforce beleaguered defenders.
WEAKNESSES
  • Only the Engine section has a hyperdrive: This vessel has a few short comings in its design. One of the major ones is that the only hyperdrives located aboard the vessel are located in the rear section, the CSS Brighter Future. That means should this portion come under major attack, especially when broken away from the rest of the vessel, and is destroyed the vessel is essentially stranded.
  • Onboard furnace has its limits: This vessel has the capabilities to produce and otherwise support land and space forces when deployed to a planet. However for major repairs, or replacement of major capital ship components this ship has to return to a drydock. That means should a reactor system be destroyed, one of the gun turrets, capital grade weapons, or worst of all an entire section be severely damaged, this vessel will not be able to fix itself.
  • Engine Section has no onboard shields: When the SSD splits into its three sections, the engine section is the only one that is unshielded, relying on pure armor plating to protect it from environmental (passive) or enemy (active) threats. And while it is armed, being unshielded makes it a really inviting target for enemy captains should they pay attention and catch this detail as the ship leaves the protective fields of the central section.
  • Many weapons are highly volatile technology: One of the major reasons a jettison system was incorporated was because of the volatility of most of the technology on this ship. The weapons are massively powerful, the reactors able to generate energy on par with stars, the shields being massively power hungry to pull off great feats and be as flexible as they are. Enemy captains that are able to see this through most basic electronic warfare sweeps when weapons are firing or the ship is at full military power will have huge targets for them to take advantage of. Even pushing the ship's captain to disengage safeties on the reactors to get them to unstable levels can cause them to overload, forcing the captain to either run the risk of having a massive bomb detonate on the ship, or pray that he can finish the fight before that happens.
  • Primary weapons are located on the top of the vessel: The centerpiece of the ship's weaponry, the three double turreted Thor Heavy Naval Particle Projectile Cannons, are located on the top side of the vessel exclusively. This means that a simple tactic to deny the vessel from using these weapons is to simply dive below the plane of the vessel. This will force the captain to have to maneuver the vessel to match the enemy vessel's maneuver, and when facing smaller fleets you can pinch a captain or commander to decide between a rock and a hard place. Because it's a Super Class Star Destroyer, not a frigate, cruiser, or regular Star Destroyer, it can't make rapid maneuvers to adjust for such attacks. So attack from multiple vectors to force the ship's commander to have to decide what to engage and what to hope doesn't break the ship's defenses.
  • Separate each piece is more vulnerable: This is a no brainer, each section of the vessel when split has weaknesses. The offensive section has no fighter support, the defensive section has little in the way of offensive firepower, and the engine section has no shields and little offensive power. Which means if they separate and pursue their own objectives, they are much more vulnerable than when they stick together. This double edged sword makes it just as easy to lose a massive section of the vessel as it does to make this vessel much more dangerous than the average Super Class Star Destroyer.
DESCRIPTION
This vessel was discovered by explorers in CIS space after an incident caused the entirety of the Surric System to seemingly be abandoned and deconstructed in mere weeks. The vessel was found simply adrift in the void well above the galactic plane alone, all of its systems offline and otherwise inaccessible. The only markings on the hull when first approached was the name plate, Forward Unto Dawn. When explorers managed to finally access the massive vessel, efforts would be put forward into exploring the various hallways and what explorers found baffled them. Clean hallways, with only a small amount of dust found here and there. Perfectly intact and otherwise pristine terminals, doors that not only looked intact but also held perfect vacuum seals, the only hints they had found thus far was a golden eagle emblazoned on parts like a manufacturers logo. Upon the eventual discovery of the bridge, these explorers would find the primary controls of the vessel alongside a small flag measuring one meter long and 33 centimeters wide. It's background a deep blue however on the right hand third was a single eight pointed star. Finally they would activate the vessel, and find that its main reactors would immediately power up, start up sequences all along the vessel would begin flawlessly as it brought all systems online. Lights would immediately turn on and all weapons would reveal themselves before running quick calibrations as they did their own start up checks. And finally, a holographic figure would appear before the gathered explorers, identifying itself as "Dawn" and demanding to know what these intruders were doing upon her vessel. After receiving their identifications and verifying them, the vessel would activate a return protocol, bringing the explorer's vessel aboard as it made a full burn for Naboo. To the explorer's confusion, the vessel would seemingly activate its transponders, which initially came up as unidentified, before taking an older code for a CIS Naval Command as it entered hyperspace. Upon entry into the Naboo System, the vessel would transmit a beacon to local garrisons and military stations.

"This is the CSS Forward Unto Dawn, reporting for active military service, awaiting crew and orders,"
