SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Less pure and heavier version of the original Artificial Phrik that while is more easily produced since it does not require the particle accelerator to be created and can instead be created in a molecular furnace. This material retains the same qualities that the original had in physical properties such as strength, resistance to corrosion and others with some notable differences.
  • The first of these changes is that because of the change in material's density and because of the impurities present in the material the metal has become much more absorbent in thermal energy. This on the plus side means that it is much better at taking in thermal energy making it more useful as shielding, but also much more difficult to dissipate said thermal energy which is either a plus or minus depending on how you view it.
  • Material is 45-55% heavier than naturally occurring Phrik.
STRENGTHS
  • Physically stupid strong: This metal is as the original was, stupidly strong. The bonds between the molecules especially when properly formed directly out of a molecular furnace take ridiculous amounts of either physical or thermal energy (or both) to actually deform this metal, let alone break it. To put it simply, this stuff is designed to be one of the strongest building materials out there. Even disruptor weapons will have a hard time dealing with this metal however they will make more headway than most weapons.
WEAKNESSES
  • The metal will survive, what's behind it won't: This metal also doesn't do anything to block radiation, electrical discharges, sonic waves, the force, or EMP/Ion weapons. To put it simply if you're using this as anything other than a physical shield to either physically block or redirect something it will pass right through. This means radiation, sonic waves, electrical or any other type of energy based attack will severely mess you up or kill you.
DESCRIPTION
Phrik-B was a further development on the already breakthrough technology of Artificial Phrik. This break through resulted in an alternative of Phrik-A, known as Phrik-B, that while was easier to produce due to it only needing a molecular furnace to produce it was however less pure. This resulted in the metals created to be heavier, more heat absorbant, while retaining the strength properties of the original creation. This has allowed for Freebirds Industries to mass produce this material for exportation or otherwise allowing it to be more readily available for construction projects or needs within or without the CIS. Obscenely strong and having a weight to strength ratio that even makes Mandalorian Beskar smiths cry, this metal is certainly something you will want to consider when building your next project.
