PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Complete suite that offers mass and multiple protections from cyber attacks and allows for offensive cyber attack options against enemy ships or stations. This allows for capital ship crews to be able to defend themselves and go on the offense in the realm of cyber warfare.
  • Also allows for crew members to measure and counteract electronic, magnetic, and other attacks that either try to disrupt or destroy onboard electronic systems. It does this by being able to monitor electrical surges in the system and transfer the power surges into grounding points across the ship or station. This also allows for the ship to prevent the capacitors from over charging by discharging the excess electrical power.
  • Onboard database containing hundreds of terabytes of worms, viruses, trojan horses, sql injection code, and other malicious code both be able to better defend itself from those kinds of attacks, but also use them offensively against enemy systems.
  • Sensor suite allows for the detection of all forms of transmission except for quantum entanglement devices (which are bloody undetectable) and when it picks up on chatter has the ability to partially decrypt signals without actually being within transmission interception range. It does this with a mixture of radio, microwave and other wavelengths being able to see the wavelengths be altered as they enter the transmission zone. This forces the enemy to adopt a rotating key encryption or a quantum entanglement based communications or risk a portion of all of their transmissions to be decoded. And the more they transmit under the same codes, the more accurate the system is able to decrypt their transmissions.
  • Onboard database is cloud based, allowing for near constant updates while the ship is on mission. This means that whenever the ship connects to its cloud based database out of mission, it will only need to download the update for its database.
  • Utilizes Quantum computing mechanics to enable up to trillions of operations to be computed every second, including the monitoring of onboard systems and the attacking of enemy systems.
  • Allows for your very communications equipment to become weapons as the ship can transmit malicious code in the background of your transmissions. This allows you to communicate to your enemies to stand down in one hand, and gives you the chance to inject malicious code aboard their vessel while "communicating". And that code has the potential to do a variety of things from cede control of weapon systems, overload onboard CPUs to cause circuitry to fry and catch fire, to causing the entire ship to delete its entire operating system which would kill the vessel and turn it into a flying brick. This allows you to take the approach of offering a hand in peace, while the other hand tightly grips a dagger if they try to force you to fight them. Also screens the communications coming into the ship to do the exact thing, removing any and all malicious or otherwise extra code in cases where interaction with an non-trusted party is happening.
  • Ability to project jamming signals across all electromagnetic wavelengths on the surface of the vessel to include microwave, radiowave, ultraviolet, gamma radiation, and x-ray radiation. This allows you to offensively attack other peoples sensor nodules, targeting and tracking systems.
STRENGTHS
  • All in one package: This Electronic Warfare and Cyber Warfare Suite is the all in one package. This thing can handle all sorts of different situations and attacks allowing for ships and stations to have an all encompassing defensive and offensive system. This means that with a single system you can give your ship a great system that can make your ship that much more difficult to attack your vessel. And this also this means that you can use your communications on your vessel as weapons to hack into enemy vessels. And with this you can also control your countermeasures for your ship including full spectrum jamming and offensive radiation suite to engage enemy guided munitions and sensors.
WEAKNESSES
  • This is a lot to handle: This suite to be utilized properly, you would need at least a hundred people or an extremely powerful computer. And even under the best of circumstances this will not be as good two premium separate systems that cover the same two areas. And all of this radiation that can be put out by these sensors won't negate tracking and targeting sensors specifically designed to weed out where all of this radiation is coming from, like SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defense) missiles. This can paint a massive bullseye on your ship if the enemy's packing these.
  • Physical Intrusions are still king: This system is extremely defensible from a cyber standpoint, but nothing, and I mean nothing, is going to stop some yahoo getting on board the vessel and directly going to this suite's CWEW Mainframe and uploading whatever attack they want and royally screwing over this vessel. This is because that with a direct connection, you bypass it's primary defense of a virtual computer network to have it be able to defend itself.
DESCRIPTION
The Spectrum CWEW Suite is the first of Freebirds Industries products into the line of Cyber security and Electronic Warfare. This suite offers a comprehensive approach and rather than separate the two products, Freebirds designed this suite to come together as a standard unit due to their belief that in separating them, each product would be lesser, and together they would become greater than the sum of their parts. This is achieved due to Freebirds Industries knowing that in today's world, no ship or station is safe from those who use code to get what they want. This is why their defensive systems, while including a ridiculous amount of firewalls, also includes a more fluid approach. This means that the network will set up a virtual representation of what outside connections will encounter when they hand shake the system. This will trace the source of the connection and severe it from the thing that it is attempting to protect when a hostile attacker attempts to access something they shouldn't. At least that's what it does on civilian vessels and stations. On combat vessels the system will launch a counter hack, attempting to subtly gain access to the enemy systems while slowly putting up more and more resistance to the enemy's own intrusion. It does this in order to study, to learn what it's opponent's moves and objectives are, and then right as they try to access something to achieve their goal, their connection will be cut, and their entire process will be shut down. This will force hackers to have to physically access the system where it is located to actually break into the system, as people accessing this system from the outside will only be able to interact with a virtual representation of the network, rather than the actual thing. This allows for this system to defend itself from cyber attacks through the outside with supreme ease. And then on the electronic warfare front, this ship carries a full suite of sensors and radiation equipment to be able to detect, identify, project, or even mimic all forms of electromagnetic communication allowing the ship to participate in all forms of electronic warfare in the battle space. Which means that with this tool in your tool box, you'll be able to utilize new avenues of attack and defense for your ships or stations. Have fun!

The Monster The Monster

A jack-of-all-trades security suite with a unique play-on involving quantum computing. I dig the concept, and the writing of these subsystems is done well too. However, the only thing I would like to see changed is this piece:
  • Allows for your very communications equipment to become weapons as the ship can transmit malicious code in the background of your transmissions. This allows you to communicate to your enemies to stand down in one hand, and then force them to minutes later when you forcefully shut down their main reactors and overload their firing controls to force their motherboards to literally fry on board the vessel. Also screens the communications coming into the ship to do the exact thing, removing any and all malicious or otherwise extra code in cases where interaction with an non-trusted party is happening.

The verbiage here seems rather definitive, particularly the line that's highlighted. Would you mind changing the wording here to something lighter? Perhaps include that it is possible to inject malicious code when communications with the enemy are open - and that it's also possible to defend against this. I may be a little nitpicky here, but this change would make this submission a helluva lot better in my opinion.

Please @me when changes are made and I can stamp this approved. Thanks!

Avo Avo So I did a bit of rewording to make it better that it has the capabilities to, but won't automatically cause this to happen if that works? Here's what I changed the section to clears throat "This allows you to communicate to your enemies to stand down in one hand, and gives you the chance to inject malicious code aboard their vessel while "communicating". And that code has the potential to do a variety of things from cede control of weapon systems, overload onboard CPUs to cause circuitry to fry and catch fire, to causing the entire ship to delete its entire operating system which would kill the vessel and turn it into a flying brick. This allows you to take the approach of offering a hand in peace, while the other hand tightly grips a dagger if they try to force you to fight them."

I hope this is satisfactory?
