Vulcan kept his circling flight pattern for a few more minutes, only breaking rank when buildings were shattered by the melee and copious amounts of explosions and cannon fire. He dodged buildings and stray projectiles that would have put him back into the Hospital which as far as he can tell the staff were not fond of him.

He actively wanted to avoid getting injured this time because he has already used 2 of his 9 lives as it stood. Jos, Shai and Gwyn would be devastated if he didn't make it back. Or, he wanted to avoid eating sludgy porridge again.

He was hardly visible up here so he decided to give his fellow Vod a hand and the space is just right to try out Perun. He didn’t have an opportunity before now. He earned this weapon from a job well done on Parantha. He had to readjust to take account of the Perun’s size. He hadn’t practised as there were little outdoor fights up until now.

Picking a target he aimed his weapon, he was about to fire when his HUD pinged an alert into his ear that projectiles were headed his way. So he missed his chance to use the technically new weapon. He wanted to see what it did.

As when he first started learning to fly, he dove down, this time with deliberation and with purpose and not with the accident of a learner to avoid being shot at. He made the mistake of not watching his surroundings, was he losing his touch?

Maybe, or there is a lot of stuff going on with the Maw swarming over the city. The Maw relied on sheer numbers to overwhelm their enemies. But right now Vulcan had to concentrate on not getting killed, he needed to find the individual who shot at him.

When he did spot her thanks to the HUD, he was taken aback he had never seen anyone like that before, so he had to be wary of unknown combatants as they could be difficult to beat going in blind.

TORCH

A shadow moved through the alleys.

Waiting for a Mandalorian to pass, before slipping into a building and emerging again a while later, the inhabitants silently dead. As the shadow moved, another Mandalorian incidentally barred its path, his back turned toward the assassin as he spoke on his comms.

Silent as a cat, the figure sneaked up behind him. With swift movement, a gleaming blade was plunged into the back, through the beskar and into the heart from behind. A breeze lifted the hood slightly, revealing the flame red hair and fair face of a woman as she guided the silent body backward and out of sight of the street.

Cleaning the beskar blade on the unguarded, padded material of the Mando'ad, Ada then slipped it back into its sheath before she resumed her movement through buildings, avoiding using her lightsabers for the moment.

At some point, the assassin sensed more than just organic bodies moving around, which had her stopping briefly to get an idea of the direction.

There were Force Users in the area...

The Alliance's counter in the Core had severed large streams of slaves flowing into the war machine of the Maw, hampering or outright shutting down vital slave networks formed in the densely populated Core Worlds. With a furious wave of the hand, his nefarious master, Lord Baal, had sent him to join Kralmus' raid of Argovia to recuperate the loss of free labor.

But beyond that, Acherus had his own agenda. Accumulate resources for his own use; resources that would eventually aid him in overthrowing and killing his master. Argovas City was in abundance of scum and villainy, deranged criminals seeking refuge from the law. Criminals with various skills that can aid the Sith in his quest of building power in the shadows.

He was on a streetway parallel to Kralmus, deflecting blaster bolts with a red saber in hand, when he noticed the Mandalorian duck behind cover.

"It seems your barbaric brothers are among us, Orr." Acherus remarked. "Try not to eat one when you capture it. A Mandalorian thrall would be strongly rewarded."

A movement in the corner of his vision took the Sith's attention and an inquisitive frown settled on his face at the glimpse of a corpse's legs pulled swiftly into the shadows. Something was killing what should be captured.

Acherus snapped a hand forward and lifted the defenders ahead from their covers. Before he could even fling them into a wall, the Maw marauders had already fired a series of stun bolts at the bodies rendering them incapacitated.

"Pull them back towards the ships and keep moving forward -- tighten the noose over this city." he ordered to the raiders before deactivating his crossguard saber and slinking into the shadows of alleys, following the mysterious trail of murder.

"Show yourself." Acherus commanded, dark robes flailing against the current of wind passing through the alley.

The Mandalorian was certainly quite elusive with his jetpack.

Sisserith’s mind raced for a solution. She needed to try and ground him, but that was much easier said than done. Fortunately, the Mandalorian had yet to retaliate, allowing the Sithspawn to make another play at taking her target down. This time, it came in the form of a Lumablast Rocket not dissimilar to the one Kralmus was using at that exact moment. As soon as Vulcan Krayt Vulcan Krayt came back up from his evasive dive and caught sight of the Sithspawn, he’d find one fast approaching from 20 meters away, intent upon getting to within a few meters of his position, at which point the rocket would go off in a blinding explosion of orange and yellow light!

For her part, Sisserith immediately took the appropriate measures to protect her vulnerable senses. A mental command polarized her visor and set her helmet’s sonic nullifiers to full power, though only for a second or two. While her helmet could do it on its own, priming the systems herself when she knew a sonic or auditory threat was imminent would provide more preemptive protection, thereby nullifying any potential damage.

While the Mandalorian had dodged her initial attack, the Seseli was still confident in her ability to bring him down. So far, he had yet to show anything that she wasn’t ready for, but what might happen next remained to be seen!

One of them was getting closer.

Ada faded into the shadows once more, moving cat-like and shrouded from the Force around the building until she was coming up behind an imposing Sith she had seen once before.

"Show yourself."

The red-head straightened up, a smirk spreading on her face as she lowered her hood.
"Then open your eyes." she said a few feet behind him, ready at the slightest movement.

"Why interrupt my work?" she asked him, still remaining a few feet away. The Ember wasn't particularly fond of people interfering in her operations, regardless who they were. She abhorred micromanagement.

The Mawdalorians and Marauders surrounded the city Tegan and her twelve scar warriors came up behind them with the Sled with E-Web's mount on them. The woman Tegan had let run free ran frantically into he city, Tegan calling ahead to let them pass. The woman ran right past the soldiers and into he thick of the opening volleys of the raid. In the skies above the heavens themselves became a light as well from men and women in jet packs and fighters descending into t he atmosphere. One minute had been a calm instantly turned into a storm and the God of Destruction reveling in the Chaos of it all.

The Woman looked around for someone anyone who looked like they could help her. When she saw a Mandalorian in heavy armor, she saw a warrior that could be her children's salvation. She ran up to them all out of breath tears running down her face, she start to frantically speak. "My…chil,,,,children…they.." She searched for the words she had no way to explain or even tell the Mandalorian what was coming if they didn't know already. "They…said the God…..God of Destruction…was coming." She looked at them hoping they would understand. "Please surrender…" She dropped to her knees. "They will kill my children!" She screamed as the Mandalorian looked on her.

Tegan dress all in white head to toe stop about thirty meters outside the gate and motioned for her scarred men to go on ahead of her. Their orders were simple kill helpless and weak. Collect all the children and the women who could bare more offspring. So may she it as barbaric but Tegan was Dathomiri enslavement was natural part of the cycle. Those that fought back were to be subdued and killed in absolutely necessary, those Tegan was hoping for the subduing part she so loved to see the ones with fight break. They were also free to kill all the Mandalorians no point in save those that had lost the true way of Mandalore.

Tegan stood outside the gates as her men moved in, she knelt down and began to draw a symbol into he ground as she did her magickal energies began to flow into the symbol. As the symbol was draw it looked like a spiderweb and the energies that were cast into it began spread out in a spiral like web across the Battlefeild. It would be long, and Tegan would be able to feel everyone combatant on the board and from their she could begin to move the pieces to ensure a Maw Victory.

She looked up towards the Sky as she finished drawing the symbol her orange sulfuric burning eyes peering out from behind her white mask caught the glint of Mandalorians armor in the sky. Something about that one felt oddly familiar, but Tegan didn't know what or why they would. Other than the Mawdalorians and the sorcerers of Rhand who had roots in Mandalorian culture most of Mandalorians she knew were long dead. Tegan then looked to the two Children with bomb collars on one each side of her, to frightened speak or even move. She then pointed up Shai Maji Shai Maji in the sky with her left gloved hand. "You see that Children, that is why your mother will fail to save you Mandalorians never surrender and they get everyone killed in the process." As she pointed she let out a tiny telekinetic push nothign that would cause harm but one that would get the flying Hyena's attention.

WON'T STAND DOWN

"Depends. General wearing? Not really, it's always been a bit uncomfortable. But I'd rather have it than not in a fight."

Lesha huffed.
"Are you ever happy with anything, Genet? Or do you go through life with a constant moaning?" she quipped at him as they walked. He could be insufferable with his complaining. But unfortunately, she kind of enjoyed his sour outlook on things. Who knew that bounty hunter could do something right and send a proficient Mando'ad their way?

"Quadrant four? Isn't that up by the old Imperial ruins?"
"Yeah, which makes it odd." she said. She then listened to him talking to his astromech in the sky. The droid's quick warbling told her what she needed to know.
"Thanks, Kay. Lesha, you want to run that way or claim a speeder here on the street?"
She smiled behind her helmet.
"What kind of pleb are you, Genet. We fly." she said as her jetpack powered up. Shooting into the air, she grabbed hold of his smuggling ass while the rest of their squad in the area also shot into the air to reach the Sensor Complex.

<Alor'ad, it's worse than we feared.> Sars' voice sounded quiet and urgent.
<What's wrong, Kryze?> she asked as they flew.
<Just saw two high profile targets of the Maw rummage around the area.> he said, voice still low.
<Do not engage until we get there. ETA 2 minutes.> she ordered. Great - the Maw was here.

Before long, they touched down with Sars' team.
"What's the situation, Kryze?" Lesha asked in a low voice as she and Kalen crawled closer to get a better view of the ruins.
"Seems like they are getting ready to head into the ruins, Alor'ad." he said.
"What the hell would they want there?" she mused. "Whatever it is can't be good. Fire a mortar between them and prepare to engage." she ordered him.
"Yes, Alor'ad." he said before sending out the order to the rest.

Before long, a mortar was launched straight at the Mawites at the entrance to the complex.

Weak.

Acherus loosened the fist he'd just realized he'd been clenching in irritation. If she had wanted, he would've been dead by now. A blade right through his gut from behind. There was no need for an overly dramatic introduction. He simply turned slowly to face the mysterious murderer. A sliver of the early evening sun cast light through a shattered window over a red-haired and fair-colored face plastered with a smirk. The rest of her body remained veiled in the shadows of the alley. Her hands were nowhere to be seen.

There was a meager desire to crush her larynx with the Force, a petty rebuke for sneaking up behind him but the Human-Sephi hybrid steeled his composure. Sulfuric eyes glared plainly into hers, also showing hints of the dark side's power.

"These vermin would serve far better in a tibanna mine rather than carrion food on this dustball-- so other than being a wasteful fool, who are you?" he asked.

As it turned out, the answer to "how soon the Enclave would find them"...

... was "pretty much immediately".

It had always been a risk, of course. Argovia might not be in Enclave territory, but it was only barely outside of it; that was the entire point of using the place, after all, turning it into a nav point to jump the Brotherhood warfleet right to the enemy's doorstep. Still, the Taskmaster was surprised by just how quickly it had all gone down. There was an Enclave warship and a squadron of gunships streaking across the sky almost before his gnarled little feet touched the planet's grass, and that did not bode well for their chances here. They needed to move quickly to activate the beacons, or this would all be for naught.

Fortunately, he was not alone in pursuing this task. The Wrath himself had arrived. Hunched little Tu'teggacha stared up at the towering monster known to the galaxy as Kyrel Ren, a dark warrior drenched in the blood of countless worlds. This was a man who had dared to challenge Solipsis at the height of his power, a champion who had resisted Mori when she took over the position of Dark Voice. He was a power player in the Brotherhood, and had been from the very beginning. So far he had always been made to accept the authority of the Maw's prophet, but his dark strength was ever-growing.

He would surely make another play for mastery of the Brotherhood...

... and who could say what the outcome would be?

"We are ready, my lord," the Ebruchi confirmed, nodding his bulbous head. The Drudges - supervised by a group of marauders who prodded, kicked, and taunted them, though they were too stupid to notice - had managed to clear away the overgrowth around the main entrance and pry the ancient doors open. With a hiss of long-sealed air, the old Imperial base was opened to Argovia's atmosphere once more. "Our sensors detect life signs within. They may be only scavengers, or wild beasts, but it is possible that the Enclave has already guessed our intent. We must move quickly."

The Taskmaster did not know how right he was...

... or how close his foes already were to scuttling this whole mission.

It didn't help that, at that very moment, the howl of a mortal shell echoed over the battlefield. By then it was too late to evade... at least for the Taskmaster, who had no gift for Force Speed, or indeed any kind of athleticism. The mortar round struck the ground near where the two Mawite VIPs stood, and Tu'teggacha had no defense. The ground exploded around him, throwing him from his feet. Shrapnel ripped into his rubbery flesh, and he howled in agony, a sound like a cat being drowned in a kiddie pool. Brackish blood leaked from his wounds as he lay sprawled on the swampy ground, eardrums ringing.

But the Ebruchi are a hardy people. Their hunched, compact little frames and blubbery flesh resist harm far better than brittle human bodies. With a grunt of pain, Tu'teggacha flipped himself over onto his hands and knees and levered himself back to his feet. He reached up and grabbed a fifteen-centimeter chunk of shrapnel and ripped it from his shoulder, hissing in pain and frustration. This was not the beginning he had hoped for! "Return fire, fools!" he bellowed. "The rest of you, into the base! There is no time to waste." Scuttling over the now-blackened marshland, he rushed for the doors.

Meanwhile, the marauders he'd left behind went to work. They had brought with them several pieces of Mongrel's Howl mobile artillery, each one mounted in the back of a speeder. They now turned those speeder-technicals toward the origin of the mortar shot, using their sensors to backtrace the weapon's trajectory. Then, as one, they fired. Each Mongrel's Howl fired a barrage of Thundahvelins - explosive javelins, in effect. They were unguided and not wildly accurate, but they were many, making up for their individual inaccuracy by saturating the entire target area in exploding boom-sticks.

That should keep some Enclave heads down... and maybe blow some up, too.

Oh dear, someone was upset.

Her own fiery eyes laughed at him as he glowered at her.
"These vermin would serve far better in a tibanna mine rather than carrion food on this dustball-- so other than being a wasteful fool, who are you?"
Ada cocked her head to the side as she regarded him, the bemused smirk still on her face.
"These bodies serve a far bigger purpose than your measly Tibanna mine." she finally said, finally stepping forward. "As for who I am, I'm known by many names. Some currently know me as Ada Infernum." she then added, circling around him.

Eyes like embers studied him before she finally came to a stop right at the exit.
"You, on the other hand. I know who you are." she didn't elaborate at all. Just made the statement and let it hang in the air to simmer.

Very few manage to avoid being known by the Ember.

T A K E_T H E I R_E Y E S
Raid of Argovia

FINAL DAWN
ARGOVIA, MID RIM

TEMPEST SQUADRON
GROUP CRESH
Commanding Officer : Colonel Wilhelm
Fleet Comp.

The Supremacy Mark-I Star Destroyer "FDS Allegiance" emerged from hyperspace arriving in orbit of Argovia, followed by the FDS Provocateur and FDS Hammer. Together the three warships represented the Vanguard of a larger Force of the Final Dawn that would partake in the ultimate assault of the Rothana Shipyards which itself was part of a larger operation devised by High Regent Marlon Sularen to strengthen the Final Dawn's Armada in the wake of the Battle of Tython. Already the Final Dawn had partaken in the Hunt for a Rogue Experimental Battlecruiser in the Outer Rim, and had carried out a major operation overseen personally by the High Regent, to secure the assets and technology of the deceased Haon Hafey after his Company fell in disarray. While the Maw would carry out pointless resource raids and harm it's own War Industry on purpose in order to maintain their holdings in the Core Worlds, the Final Dawn would employ more "creative" tactics to not only strengthen their position but emerge victorious against those who stood against them.

In command of this Vanguard Fleet was a man by the name of Viktor Wilhelm. A Former Commander of the Rogue Sith-Imperial Remnant known as the Frozen Hand and a Veteran of the Frozen Hand Campaign between the titular Faction and the High Republic (One of the precursors to the Modern Galactic Alliance), Wilhelm had been imprisoned by the High Republic, then the Galactic Alliance before being liberated by agents of the Politorate (Then a Private Intelligence Agency working for Sularen, now the Official Intelligence Branch of the Final Dawn) and recruited by Marlon Sularen himself when he was still the ruler of Byss. Since then he had served Sularen eventually joining his Secret Paramilitary Force known as the Hand of Judgement as one of it's top commanders. Now he was here in the Outer Rim overseeing the Final Dawn's Overall Operations at Argovia.

"Colonel. We have arrived at Argovia, but have detected several ships in the area." an Officer said informing him of the current situation. "Enclave or Independents?" the Colonel asked in response. "The Provocateur is running scans as we speak but it's most likely they're Enclave or atleast Enclave-aligned Warships considering we are already getting reports of Skirmishes across the surface of Argovia between Allied Mawite and Hostile Enclave Forces." another officer said. "Then we must assume these ships must be hostile. Contact the largest ship present. I'd like to have a word with it's Captain" the Colonel said. Within seconds, the Colonel was connected to the supposed flagship of the Enclave Fleet, the Conqueror-Class Star Destroyer "Tython". "Attention, unidentified vessels. This is the FDS Allegiance of the Final Dawn Navy, identify yourself and state your intentions.". Just as the transmission would be sent to the Tython, the crew of the Allegiance would begun rushing towards their Battlestations with the entire Vanguard Fleet on high alert ready to engage the fleet in orbit of Argovia if necessary.

The Final Dawn's Operations here were key for the High Regent's ongoing plans to strengthen the Final Dawn's ever-growing Navy. Failure was unacceptable and Wilhelm would make sure he would bring the results his superiors desired. Glory to the Final Dawn.

  • A Trio of Warships representing the Vanguard of the Final Dawn Task Force set to assault Rothana arrives in orbit of Argovia consisting of the FDS Allegiance, the FDS Provocateur and the FDS Hammer.
  • The Fleet begins conducting scans to identify the unidentified vessels present and sends a transmission to the largest of these ships demanding identification and to know of their intentions
  • The Final Dawn Fleet begins making preparations to engage the vessels if necessary with all crews manning their battlestations and all pilots boarding their craft within the Hangars of each ship.

His eyes trailed her as she drew circles around him like a stalking predator but his body did not follow. He remained planted, unmoved and unfazed. Merely curious and suspicious.

Ada Infernum.

Ad Infernum.

The name sounded more like a High Galactic pseudonym than a real name but it would not come as a surprise. Sith donned new names as they were reborn in the cradle of the Dark Side, baptized in the blood of their former selves. Acherus would know. He once slew a weakling by the name of Malamir to rise as Darth Acherus.

"Do you?" the question was laid out almost as a challenge to her knowledge.

"Do you?"

Ada chuckled slyly at his almost challenge.
"Indeed I do." she said, still chuckling. "But for now I'll humour you with settling for your Sith title." she added as she remained planted in the exit. She was hardly ever seen, so she can hear and see much more than people know.

Finally she started walking backwards.
"Now, Acherus, seeing as you get all pouty with folk being given to Vahl, what else would you have someone like me do here?" she asked him, snapping her fingers into a small flame in the palm of her hand. "These Mandalorians and their sympathisers shouldn't be allowed to breathe." They did not forget or forgive. It would make her life increasingly hard if they were allowed to continue walking the Galaxy.

In the blink of an eye, three warships emerged from hyperspace into Argovia’s orbit, drawing the attention of both Jas and his second officer. ”Well… we have contact now.” He muttered with wide eyes as he stared at the enormous battlecruiser in the viewport. The two frigates were also going to be a problem.

:: Lorta reporting in, three Final Dawn ships identified. ::

:: Nimban reporting in, three Final Dawn ships identified. ::

Second officer Herrix rolled his eyes at the sudden input before looking at Jas. ”Course of action, sir?” He asked calmly, though the Pureblood didn’t even have a chance to respond before the comms officer spoke up.

”Sir, they are hailing us. And… there appears to be a freighter charging at the enemy ships.” Herrix and Jas turned to look at the officer, then at each other with perplexed expressions. ”At least they opened communications first.” He shrugged. ”Thankfully. I’m not in the mood for another disciplinary after Lorta.” He commented as he turned to the comms officer’s station. ”You take care of the hail, I’ll contact that bloody freighter.” Herrix sighed as he scratched his head. Technically this was a humanitarian aid mission to help the Enclave… but without prior contract, the company couldn’t be bound to any side. The mercenary force would never find a job again.

:: Attention Final Dawn vessels, this is Hellion Naval Vessel seven-zero-one, you are trespassing on private prospective space under ownership of Hex Incorporated. Remove your soldiers from the surface, turn back around, and leave the sector immediately, or we will be forced to take lethal action against you. ::

Herrix’s calm, yet stern voice was backed as the three Hellion ships locked onto the Final Dawn ships, though not a single weapon was visible along the ship. The flush, geometrical ships held no evidence of any armament aside from a number of point defence turrets.

Meanwhile, Jas was busy hailing the little freighter whizzing along in the viewport. Something felt off about the pilot. :: Attention unidentified freighter, this is a high risk no-fly zone, turn back or dock in our hangar. :: He ordered with a cold voice as he watched the freighter.

It was a surprise to see Vulcan of all people flying overhead on this backwater. Enough of a surprise to have Shai halt mid-air for a moment as she holstered her rifle and drew her pistols. She knew better than to ask what he was doing there, the kid couldn’t stay out of trouble for long. That’s what she loved and hated about her boy. :: Be careful, Vulc! These people are hunting. :: She spoke through her comms.

A light shove drew her attention from the boy, down to a short woman in white standing with two children. Her visor zoomed in on the three of them, and a snarl curled along her features. Bomb collars. In a split-second move she flicked the settings on her pistols and fired powerful EMP bolts at the two children. It would do nothing to them, aside from maybe giving a slight tingle, but it would at least disable the bomb collars… she hoped.

Her attention was drawn to two speeders zooming into town with heavy repeaters strapped to them. A scoff escaped as two missiles left her jetpack and hurled down towards the speeders at blistering speed. Finally she could turn her attention to the Sith.

The Wardog dropped from the heavens, landing only a few meters from the woman and the two kiddies. The Sith looked familiar. It took her a long moment to remember who she was. Tegan Starfall. One royally karked up individual in the Maw. ”Really, sis? Bomb collars? What’s the matter, too afraid to take on a proper challenge?” She quipped as she idly tapped her blasters against her thigh plates.

”By the way, you look familiar. Did I spoil a tea party of yours somewhere?” She quipped, carefully watching the woman.

Acherus fought back the urge to grimace, maintaining a more composed facade over his whole form. Curiosity lured him to her, but so did the desire to make her grovel before his feet and loosen these tight lips. The mention of Vahl earned her a raised eyebrow and subsided the violent spirits within.

"Ah."

"...the Ember of Vahl." a sulfuric glance met the kindle in her open palm. An obscure, but once prominent, dark side coven of the Vahla. Seeing Ada under the revelation of the evening sun was only further evidence of her belonging.

"They should breathe only by the permission of our noose." he corrected her, somewhat agreeing with a curt nod. "They're strong of both body and mind... but anyone can be broken."

A glint of fear, reminiscent of a past life, flashed across the Sith's eyes.

"Anyone."

He lifted his gaze from the flame to the eyes of the Vahla. "Are you remotely capable of capturing targets alive?"

Having gunned down a pile of maw soldiers made Kragr smirk as it meant there weren't highly armoured and wouldn't be a problem to take out if he hit them. To make everything better, Kragr might get the chance to shatter the Mandalorian Maw warrior with his hammer. Having stopped for a brief moment with his back against a wall of his own, Kragr was just about to pop back out and continue the onslaught and put some more unfortunate souls into the dirt where they belonged.

By now the fight had really broken out all around Kragr, as more people had decided to pull a stick out of their asses and fight for their life. Did he really try to goat him with that pathetic attempt? thought Kragr incredulous with a raised eyebrow behind his helmet. Kragr was not in the mood for a ping-pong game of who could throw the most taunts. Under the cover of the battle around and above them, Kragr used a burst of his jetpack to get up to the edge of the roof above him and began to move towards the voice of the Maw's voice. Having not gone more than a couple of meters, before hearing 180 decibels of sound, no doubt would have placed Kragr at a great disadvantage.

However, instead, it was luckily only really, really kraking loud with a flash of an ungodly number of lights. Having only minor tinnitus going off in his ears, Kragr ignored it for now and sneaked closer to the edge to get a better overwatch. Having a great vantage point, the Mandalorian Maw warrior was easy to spot with his bright orange colour scheme.

Seeing the huge two-handed axe in the cannibal's hands, Kragr pulled his own Sonic War Hammer activating the lethal setting. With a flash-bang grenade in the other hand, Kragr activated the grenade and threw it directly in front of Kralmus'. The moment it went off, whether the cannibal was hit by the grenade or not, didn't matter as Kragr jumped silently from his position with his hammer raised in a striking position aiming to shatter the Mandalorian into a pool of flesh and blood.

TORCH

The light went on in his head.

Took him a while. Though it did seem that the tumultuous presence subsided somewhat at his realisation. Her curious gaze still laughed at him, however.

"They should breathe only by the permission of our noose. They're strong of both body and mind... but anyone can be broken. Anyone."

Ada cocked her head to the side again, flame-red hair glinting in the process as he spoke. He seemed transfixed with the flame in her hand, as if lost to time. Vahl worked in mysterious ways, it seemed. She held the flame a heartbeat longer before dissipating it. His eyes locked with hers again.
"Are you remotely capable of capturing targets alive?"
The Ember tsked.
"Spoiling all the fun now." she half-pouted. "Yes I can if I really really have to."

She didn't like it though.

Proximity alarms blared throughout the ship. They were approaching orbit. That meant it was almost time. Solus pulled himself up from his cot, grabbed the bar just above him, and did several pull ups before getting into his armor. He was a quiet man, and often kept to himself. There were few who truly knew anything about him.

He liked it that way.

The ship buzzed with the excitement of another battle. It was unlike anything else. Even though he was not overly demonstrative with outward emotion or expression, Solus fed off the rush of adrenaline which came from the prospect of dying. He was good at killing, but every warrior knew death was possible and closer with every battle survived. Solus was living on borrowed time, but he would be damned if he did not take as many with him as possible.

Solus marched with determined steps toward the drop ship. His buy’ce was clipped to the belt around his waist. Leaping into the pod, Solus reached up for the strap above his head right as the door closed and the transport lifted off the hangar bay floor.

“Listen up soldiers…”

The voice was loud and the speech was long and said something about dying with honor. Solus rolled his eyes as he tuned out most of it. Many of the vocal ones used the battlefield to gain their own glory or position with the clan. The rest were left doing the job that needed to be done. Solus had no love for those who used their position for benefit. If the warrior moved his way up in the clan, it would not be on the backs of his brothers, but on the bodies he left bleeding and broken in the dirt.

Metal shook with a loud thud as it came into contact with the atmosphere. They were nearing the rendezvous. If it could be called that. Solus moved toward the edge, fixing his helmet to his head before the door opened. Letting out a loud “OYA,” Solus jumped out of the ship and began to drop toward his target.

Solus dipped his head and dove though the air. Hands rest on his thighs as the mandalorian opted to streamline himself. A finger rested by the ignition for his jetpack. He had made this drop numerous times, almost to the point it was second nature. Blinking to activate his HUD, the quiet soldier locked onto one particular heat signature. He would have to pull up soon, but not before ensuring some element of surprise.

:: Attention unidentified freighter, this is a high risk no-fly zone, turn back or dock in our hangar. ::

Gwyn's blinked, looking down at the communicator briefly before returning her gaze to the fleets ahead. It was not just the Maw, but other ships as well. But the most baffling thing about this all was... that the voice sounded very familiar. Though, she could not place where she had heard it before.

She turned on her com channel, speaking.

<"Unidentified Flagship,"> She spoke with some snark, before completely turning serious, <"This is the Tauntaun. I am Gwyneira Krayt of Clan Krayt, House Vizsla. I have come here on behalf of the Mandalorian Enclave to investigate the Maw's presence so close to our borders.">

She contemplated for a moment, looking up at the massive fleet of Maw ships, <"Promise you are enemies of the Maw and not me, and I will come. I want to kill Mawites, not squabble elsewhere. And... you sound familiar, captain.">

She was still far enough from all other ships, they would be able to perceive the Tauntaun as a vessel outside both fleets. At this rate, however, she was coming in closer to the Maw ships, though she already was changed trajectory to the other fleet. Hey, if they were not Maw, she could easily join them. Especially if they wanted to hunt Maw themselves!
