  • Modular: The inside of the pod is designed to be easily modified for any type of equipment or passengers the pod needs to carry.
  • Secure: With thick armour, shields, and countermeasures, the drop pod is very safe from danger.
  • Adjustable: With both ion engines and maneuvering thrusters, the drop pod can quickly adjust course to stay on target.
  • Launch: The pod is sturdy enough to be shot out of a cannon if needed, and it has a specialised nose to make entry through ship hulls quick and easy.

WEAKNESSES
  • Steering: The pod is designed to be fired at a predetermined area, rendering the passengers inside unable to steer it themselves.
  • Maneuver: The pod is designed to fly in a comparatively straight line, and can’t maneuver or move like a fighter.
  • Defenses: Meant to be used for quick insertions into an area, the pod has no weapons onboard.
  • Vulnerable: Despite the defenses, the passengers inside are vulnerable from the moment they leave their mothership until they interface with whatever location they are headed towards.

DESCRIPTION
A new method of quick infiltration for anyone that need it, the Type 72 is an orbital drop pod designed to carry a soldier or two, and their equipment, into a battlefield or the hull of a ship with blistering speed. A useful feature of the pod is its size, allowing the pod to be shot from a cannon if the calibre is large enough to house it.

It features a variety of systems and defenses to keep the vulnerable crew within as safe as possible in the long flight to their destination. It also has various survival equipment, rations and water in case they land somewhere they weren’t supposed to. This also allows the pod to be used as an escape pod if needed.

Very nice submission, however there are a few issues that will need to be addressed:

OOC Information:
  • Permissions: In brief - I am fairly certain I have caught all of these, but please double check allof your linked items to ensure you have all necessary permissions. In reality, i'm fairly certain you have a blanket permission to use Roble's items, but regardless; this will need to be linked and posted. Thank you!
    • The MXC-T21 Alviss Electronic Countermeasures Package you reference as an ‘Electronic Countermeasures Package’ under the ‘Defenses’ section is a closed market item, and will require permissions to use. Please acquire these permissions, and post/link them under this section.
    • The RAAM-M3 Tactical Ordnance Jammer you reference as the ‘Tactical Ordnance Jammer’ under the ‘Defenses’ section is a closed market item, and will require permissions to use. Please acquire these permissions, and post/link them under this section.
    • The MXC-T19 Ark Sensor Scrambler you reference as the ‘Sensor Scrambler’ under the ‘Defenses’ section is a closed market item, and will require permissions to use. Please acquire these permissions, and post/link them under this section.
    • The RMC-114 Magnetic Energy Generator you reference as the ‘High-powered generator’’ under the Special Features section is a closed market item, and will require permissions to use. Please acquire these permissions, and post/link them under this section.
    • The RX-D13 Sublight Ion Drive you reference as the ‘Ion Engine’’ under the Special Features section is a closed market item, and will require permissions to use. Please acquire these permissions, and post/link them under this section.
    • The RX-D13X Precision Drive you reference as the ‘Maneuvering Thrusters’’ under the Special Features section is a closed market item, and will require permissions to use. Please acquire these permissions, and post/link them under this section.
Production Information:

  • Affiliation: Please link ‘Hex Incorporated’ here as well. This may seem redundant, but is a requirement on all submissions.
  • Modularity: Please expound upon how specifically the drop pod is modular. What can be added? Are there different configurations? You touch on this under the strengths section, but please summarize here.
Technical Specifications:
  • Defenses: The high powered energy shield system that you are using appears to come in two ratings - small and large. Based on the description, it appears as though the small version would be the most applicable to this submission. Please state as much for clarity to ease quick reference.
