He was... different from the others in his pirate clan, different from the moment of his spawning. He did not fit into the pack of hunters. The others whispered about him when they thought he could not hear them. Freak. Witch-born. They called him Tu'teggacha, the Ebruchese word for cursed one, never by his given name. But he did hear them, and he festered in hatred.
From hatred, his power grew. Accidents began to befall those who whispered ill of him; nothing that could be proven, nothing that he could possibly have physically done, but always the crewmates who had most indulged in the mockery. Amusement turned to fear, and soon Tu'teggacha all but ran the crew, for no decision could be made that was against his wishes.
None could deny that the cursed one was a powerful weapon. No ship they raided could stand against them when he unleashed his mind-bending magic, leaving the defenders screaming on the deck plating. But nothing was ever good enough to satisfy him, either. His crewmates came to realize that they were all being punished, slowly driven mad by a spurned child's vengeance.
He left them drifting in deep space, too consumed by their most twisted nightmares to even begin to function. In tormented sleep, they starved to death. But Tu'teggacha lived on. He had sensed something lurking in the depths of space, deeper even than the Ebruchi's hunting grounds, that called to him: a darkness that promised greater power. In pursuing it, he found the Brotherhood of the Maw.
Tu'teggacha was never a warrior, but the Warlords and Heathen Priests of the Maw recognized that he had another kind of potential. A sadistic perfectionist, he would have been an ideal torturer even without his dark Force gifts. The Ebruchi force adept was soon placed in the position of Taskmaster, overseeing the legions of slaves that toiled to keep the forges of war ever-hot and supply future conquests.
But this was not his only role. Tu'teggacha also oversaw the captives who would become slave-soldiers. Using his powers and his instruments of torture, he cut away their old identities with the scalpel of agony, then reforged them into ravening marauders ready to kill and die for the Brotherhood. Though never serving on the front lines, the cursed one became one of the Maw's most feared agents...
He is the reason to pray they do not take you alive.
Strengths: Tu'teggacha is an incredibly gifted interrogator, wielding dread just as effectively as pain. He knows how to force others to do as he desires, making them hate him... but fear him even more. His skills of reading people, verbal manipulation, and using torture instruments to their utmost effectiveness are further bolstered by his connection to the Dark Side. He is incredibly talented at wielding Force Fear, directly manipulating the emotions of his victims, and Memory Walk, forcing his targets to relive their worst experiences. Between all of these gifts, he can strip away and re-mould identities with ease.
Weaknesses: Tu'teggacha is no battlefield warrior. A neuronic whip belongs in his clawed hands, but a blaster or vibroblade does not, forcing him to rely on others for protection. His Force abilities are limited to reaching into the minds of others; he lacks the ability to affect the world around him, with no talent for flashy abilities such as telekinesis or Force Lightning. His sadism can also be a weakness; it is easy for him to get carried away in enjoying the pain of others, and he does not always make optimal decisions for himself or the Brotherhood when the alternative is sating his vile desires.
