    • Bracket Size; The Howl can be modified extensively to either make the payload smaller to ensure a shorter reload cycle.
  • Production: Minor

    • Reinforced Durasteel Bracing.
    • Combustion engine.
    • Rip Cord/Flammable Fuse.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Artillery Piece and Anti-Tank Gun.

  • Ammunition Capacity: Large
    • At maximum size, 100 rounds
    • At minimum size, 30 rounds
    • The battery can be configured to be anywhere between these two.
  • Effective Range: Battlefield.
  • Rate of Fire: Very Low.
  • Damage Output: Extreme
  • Recoil: High
SPECIAL FEATURES
The Brackets: The brackets are perhaps the most important part of the Howl. Housing about a hundred missiles in larger units, these are reinforced. These can be removed, or shortened to make the reload time, and payload smaller.
Fuse Line: Rather archaic, the Howl is actually fired via a fuse line. Once all the Thundahvelins are fitted inside the tubes, and fitted with a rocketeers base, they are then fired all at once. Either using a fuse, and lit. Or in smaller units, a release cord. Pulled back.

STRENGTHS
  • Psychological Warfare: The Mongrel’s Howl actually is an apt name given the sound its ordinance produces when in flight. Deafening, it can oftentimes terrify friendlies as much as foes. As well as dealing long term, debilitating hearing loss for those who arm it. Sound is here [x].
  • Carpet Saturation: When fired as an artillery piece, the Mongrels Howl can carpet as much as two hundred square meters in fiery ordinance. However the precision of this fire is yet to be seen.
  • Shield Piercing: Due to the nature of the weapon, it can pierce most shielding equipment. Making it a potent battlefield siege weapon.
WEAKNESSES
  • Inaccuracy: The Mongrel’s Howl is a highly inaccurate piece of ordinance when fired at its typical long, to medium range. At a shorter range, when directed at an enemy, it still is not an entirely effective machine.
  • Long Loading Time: The Mongrel’s howl requires each and every Thundahvelin to be loaded inside of a tube, and also fitted with a rocket base to allow for firing. While individual rockets can be loaded quickly, they are often times ineffective. Requiring a larger spread to be effective.

[DESCRIPTION]
MISSION DEBRIEF #546; RAUSGEBER; IGNATIUS
LOCATION: O’REEN, SHABUL VALLEY
TARGET: REBELLING SETTLEMENT

The remote settlement of Tar’Shabul, was really just a slaving settlement. The Auxiliary held a garrison and when we lost contact with it, Braygar was certain to try and determine us to find out how. I don’t have names for this account, I am merely a clerk. But was eminently clear was that our troops were dead, and the mining camp we had established overrun with rebellious slaves. Our initial approach to Tar’Shabul was thwarted. Undertaken with ‘Thundahvelins’ and the cover of blasters, the first cohort was decimated, before retreating. And it became eminently clear that the slaves had fortified their position greatly.

Ergo, we were forced to lay siege. A difficult prospect given that we had neither the ordnance to really poke or prod them. But for three days we sat, devising a plan. Hoping for something, and being harassed by hostile skirmishers. It wasn’t until that third day that Malc (Auxiliary Malcolm Grue), lead a squad to chase the skirmishers discovered a farming lodge. It had been abandoned. But a looting party found what appeared to be a crude pyrotechnics rig. Malc and his cohort dragged it back to base camp, and with some of the grease fingers, began to prod and pull at it.

On day four, they had a crude prototype. And tested some of the Thundahavelins with an incendiary loading on them. They were cocked with a black powdered base, and some fins allowing them to be more aerodynamic. An improvement I even found exciting amongst the intellectual waste that is the Auxiliary.

Nonetheless, a test was enacted with Malc taking the honours and firing the Thundahavelins. Using the crude frame as a sort of artillery piece, and aiming unit. The unit held two effects, first; it deafened all those present. From my professional assessment, it may have caused even permanent deafness in some, and a hardness of hearing in others. Nonetheless, the work was done. And we established, via a measurement of smoke, that the Thundahavelins both hit, detonated, and were about five kilometers away. Braygar then ordered an immediate bombardment. So for the next several hours, the grease thumbs worked and by 2200 hours, a piece was aimed and ready.

Now armed with ear muffs, one hundred of the Thundahavelins were primed. Fired. And then fired again in a second volley. The first one, largely overshot Tar’Shabul, according to T’Kerri, but the second was a direct hit. The incendiary rounds ravished the village, and those who did not burn were cut down by sharpshooters. The village now exists as a smoking crater thanks to our efforts.

With this, Braygar has ordered our musters force of grease thumbs to tinker with this project. In the hopes of creating some form of anti-tank, or easily primed artillery piece. He's taken to calling it, "The Mongrel's Howl" as a homage to our sovereign Marauder. In any case, there'll likely be more than a few of these to come.

As always, Rausgeber out.

Thank you! However the Ammunition Capacity has a rating what counts into the balance, this is why I recommended you to write this on that way how I showed it. In any case, the name of the rating must also be there, to accept it. To keep the balance (0) ratings, this rating could be at most Large. So the scale between Large and Small is perfect.
Ammunition Capacity: (List the ammunition capacity. The more powerful and lighter the weapon, the lower the magazine capacity is likely to be. Please choose a size between Extremely Small, Very Small, Small, Average, Large, Very Large and Extremely Large. You may also include a number with the Rating
