Dominion Paint It Black [MP Dominion of Yavin IV]

7zZdWGz.png

Ever since the Sith Order ripped open the portal to allow their unholy daemons to pollute Yavin IV's jungles. Since, the Galactic Alliance failed to stop the Sith there on Yavin. The corruption of the darkside, the infection that is the Blackwing and its undead have turned this once revered world, into a living nightmare.

We, the Mandalorian Protectors, have been fighting this Chaos-forsaken hell for some time. There is not a vode among us who has not served their time on this blasted netherscape of a world. We have suffered greatly in the hopes of keeping the Sith-corrupted undead here on Yavin. We are the final push, and the end is in sight. Each of you must protect the witches in your care, healers from varying Jedi Enclaves have volunteered to join you on this mission.

Ahead the road is treacherous, for nothing can be trusted. There are but a few safe houses, once more held by fellow Mandalorians and the pockets of Alliance soldiers who continue to courageously hold their line. We are the solution to this problem, we will arrive at the portal, defeat the demons and beasts who hold it hostage and then we shall hold the line at the portal. Allow the witches to complete their ritual and only then can we truly begin to clean this world and make it whole again.

Assemble yourselves into teams of four PCs, you can bring NPCs with you but bring ones who you do not mind being injured or killed in this event. You're being dropped in media res, so your characters are likely running low on ammunition. If you have brought tanks, or vehicles, maintenance will be harder to do as you trek deeper into the jungles. There will be some nudges from the storyteller account, getting teams to safe houses to end each 'stage.' Before reaching these safe houses, teams will encounter a large entity/mini boss, if you will. How you defeat them is up to you. There will be three stages in which the teams advance to the portal, before the storyteller account will set you up at the fourth and final stage for the big battle. MP fleets and aerial support are limited due to the flying entities that have been knocking them down. This is not your typical dominion, and the storyteller account will push the story along, therefore there are 'small' deadlines in which to post so that the story can move. Do not worry about rushing your post, it will be assumed that your character is with your team – unless you decide otherwise.
e70unXI.png

This stage concludes on March 29th.
Your teams have been fighting for the past several weeks, hordes of undead and Darkside corrupted beasts. Your teams have lost contact with one another, supplies, and ammo are running low. You've checked your maps and know there's a safe location as marked by fellow Mandalorians not too far away. All teams once began as strong 'platoon' sized groups, your numbers have dwindled. The number of healers and witches in your care have also dwindled, but not as much thanks to the brave sacrifices of your vode. Each 'safe house' is a secure enough position that only has two points of entry/exit.

Team One has wandered deep into the jungles, and have bumped into a trail of dead soldiers likely from the Galactic Alliance. Upon inspection, one of you has accidentally set off an alarm a horde of undead are headed your way, accompanied by large acid spitting Darkside-corrupted beasts. If that were not enough you can hear the crying wails of someone who had once been part of this realm. Her wails are getting closer to you, do not let her take hold of you, lest you become one of the undead. You'll need to defeat them and reach the BUNKER. There are additional caches of rations and supplies on your path!
Team Two has kept on a path, although the path has diverged wildly from where they started weeks ago. As you continue on your path, you start to see body parts and a bloody, gory trail that leads up to a cave. One of you got brave enough to venture into the cave and have come across scores of abominations, creatures who at one point may have been your fellow vode. They've been turned by the corruption and the blackwing into horrific amalgations of a person. You're not sure where one person begins and where the other ends. Their armor has fallen by the way side. You'll need to defeat them and escape the cave and make haste for a nearby abandoned, GA COMMAND POST. There are additional caches of armor on your path!
Team Three are on an unknown path deep in the jungles as well. You can hear fighting, you rush ahead and find members of both the Mandalorian Protectors and Galactic Alliance somehow still alive. They are fighting their own units who have become part of the undead. Worse it seems the commanders of both teams have also been turned and have become large semi-organic unnatural beings with their weapons melted into their bodies constantly firing necrotic energy at anything it hits. One of you has gotten brave and rushed to organize ahead. You'll need to defeat them and get to the SUPPLY TRAIN. There are additional caches of ammunition on your path!

Team Four has managed to stay on their designated path although it has not been easy. As you push forward, you can hear the horde but where they'll come from begins to bring a sense of unease to you. One of you is determined to get ahead of the horde and begins to pick up the pace. Only now you realize that the horde was all around you to begin with. The horde has begun to rush you and your team, bringing with them smaller, more agile entities that are capable of leaping over great distances and emitting a noxious gas that has been reported to kill Mandalorians easily. You'll need to defeat them and get to a nearby abandoned GA MEDICAL POST. There are additional caches of weapons on your path!
Individuals: Your characters have either arrived just here or have been here, for what purpose is up to you. Will you aid the Mandalorian Protectors, or work against them? The choice is yours.

Physically, Daesyn was holding up as well as anyone could, the force was plentiful here so she could feed and sustain her material form almost indefinitely, but it didn't mean that the constant fighting wasn't mentally draining for the Manda'kyrja, it had been unrelenting for a long time and she had personally shepherded many vod to her brothers and sisters who waited at the side of the Manda to accept their souls. She did not like their accompanying witch Asaaj En Kelsani Asaaj En Kelsani and was nearly certain that the dark magics that she practiced we are much of a problem as the portals. But she was strong and useful and apparently would be of great help once they met the final portal.

One of the others of her team, people that she was feeling an ever stronger bond with had gone to investigate a cave for a potential shelter for the night, apparently a mistake and what had come out was unpleasant to say the least, and that was the position they were in now, fighting a retreat towards a disused alliance outpost.

She swung her plasma beskad in a large arc, severing what she could guess was a limb from one of assailants, leaping backwards and at the same time unleashing a pair of energy torpedoes into the monster, they struck home and bust open, turning the top half of the attacker to dust in a flash of light. She quickly locked on and launched three more torpedoes into a group that had managed to down one of her vod and were now feeding on the remains. The three torpedoes looped and stuck into the diners from above in another fireball. "Sleep well vod" she said to herself as her HUD displayed that her left launcher had gone onto cool down, a few more seconds and the right would be back online. She had lost count how many torpedos she had fired but thanked the Manda her suit was designed the way it was.

"Come on! The base is only a couple of clicks away." She called as they continued to fight the onrushing warriors and she sent a short burst of fire from her wrist into a particularly large monstrosity, turning several appendages into ash before ducking behind a tree as it lashed out with some kind of projectile ichor that hissed and blackened as it hit the next tree. She saw their witch teleport across the woods and grab a sample of the ichor for some reason before she vanished again and another large global slammed into the spot she has momentarily inhabited.

It wasn't like this had been the first group of dead Alliance soldiers they had come across, Lio had made it a habit to collect their tags so they could give them back to the Alliance. She had run out of ammo yesterday, her weapon was clipped magnetically on her back as she carefully poked and prodded the dead with a stick. The air was rife with the stench of the dead, Lio having done as she had for the past few weeks knelt down beside the soldier and turned them over. She went to grab his tags when the man grabbed her arm, "Osi'kyr! Kaysh cuyir oyayc!." Terror in her voice whilst she tried to pull her arm back, Lio not thinking about it reacted on instinct and punched him in the face.

Kad swiftly in hand, as the man attempted to rise, only this time his very skin began to melt from his face and he was no longer human. Lio shoved the kad up into his jaw and brutally cut forward before cleaning her kad off on his uniform. The man fell atop of a large communication device that began to wail with an ear-piercing dissonant electronic screech. Lio placed her hands over her ear, knees on the ground and as she looked around she noticed something. The way the trees vibrated and the stench of the dead that at this point not even her helmet could filter out got stronger. "Osi'kyr." The teenager cursed, "Ja'ka!" The horde was on them, swarming through the trees on approach. Lio rolled backward and utilized her plantsurge as an area of effect to knock down as many of them as possible. "Vod!" The teen yelled out.

Aloy sat in the doorway crashed husk of a LAAT\X Dropship, legs both organic and cybernetic dangling off the edge, heavy and tired. Before her stood 4 mounds, each with an empty rifle planted at the end, and an helmet bearing the mark of her Black Fleet atop them.

She had buried them all herself.

Aloy knew every face that now laid under the dirt and stones atop them, scratched every name into their rifles, written in clear Mando'a.

She had entered this jungle with 10 others, all commandos of the Black Fleet that had become members of her personal guard. Two souls- Eqhu Rook and Eskol Wren- were still missing after the squadron leapt from the crashing ship. 8 of them were confirmed dead including the four she buried here, picked off one by one over the course of a week or more as they tried to find the crash site until only Aloy remained.

They found her like this. Liorra Liorra , Mia Monroe Mia Monroe and Elise Ahana-Gwyneira Elise Ahana-Gwyneira in whichever order they arrived. Had they all found her together? She couldn't remember, but she had refused to leave until these four men were given last rites.

There was more carnage nearby, the remains of Alliance soldiers who had either been zombified prior and killed the Mandalorians who now resided in their graves, or perhaps fought to death alongside them. It was hard to tell, but their equipment remained strewn about in the aftermath, and it seemed the young Liorra was scavenging what she could.

And then tripped some kind of alarm...
"Vod!" The teen yelled out.

Aloy stood up suddenly, wiping the mud off her visor as best she could.

"There's still ammo in the turret!" She would shout, quickly running to the other side of the crashed gunship where a rotary blaster cannon still hung from the ceiling, a belt of munition also suspended there, able to feed it a few hundred more shots.

Aloy was quick to rack the machinegun with a growl, giving Liorra just a moment to move before she began firing down on the oncoming horde!

"Back it up, I'll cover you!"

What Does It Mean To Be Mandalorian?

Things kept going from bad to worse.

Elise was trained by the Novanian Shamans on how to survive in the wild, with or without supplies, for a long time. Jungles were her home turf. Fighting through the thick vegetation, Elise could have almost believed she was home again... if she took the time to squint hard, at least. Elise knew everything about reserving energy, staying hydrated, surveying the difficult landscape, and keeping alert for danger. Elise had essentially been holding Liorra's hand throughout this whole trip, reminding her that touching scary large plants with teeth and brightly colored flowers was a bad idea. But the thing Elise was not used to was a battle of endurance. Undead hoards were common, even in the deeps of this tropical forest. Most of Elise's pistols were drained, save for a small amount of ammunition in her Borealis. Her beskar'gam was all out of missiles, rockets, and whistling birds. Elise had no darts, and her wrist blaster was drained dry. Running on only a small amount of ranged ammunition, with a long ways to go, Elise knew that melee combat was inevitable.

And when Liorra accidently alerted another hoard of their presence, Elise realized that it was closer than she thought.

<<"Liorra, what did I tell you about touching shiny things in the jungle?">>

Elise pulled her retracted spear from its place on her back. She expanded the shaft, and she entered the ready. Using her stealth tech was useless against zombies, and she knew fully well that her beskar'gam had more armorweave openings than most suits of Mandalorian armor. Elise looked down, through her buy'ce, at her beskar plating. Beskar... beskar'gam... did she even feel proud to wear it anymore-

The rustling of nearby ferns forced her attention back to the present. As Aloy fell back to the turrets of her crashed ship, Elise doubled back alongside her. As the ship's heavy fire screamed past her, she remained at ground level.

<<"I'm nearly out of ranged ammunition. I'll keep them off from the ground, if everyone else is able to fall back at the ship for higher ground.">>

Even if Elise was doubtful of her heritage once again, and even if she was less than thrilled with her Mia Monroe, Elise still considered Monroe to be more than an al'verde... she was more like a real buir. And Liorra, Mia's second student, had become a younger sibling like Mevia Vizsla had been. Regardless of her current wanderings, she would protect them with her life. Furthermore, a prominent figure in her own Clan, Aloy Vizsla, was fighting alongside her as well.

From where the turrets didn't fire, a crowd of undead poured in. Turning to face them, Elise thrust her spear into the nearest one. Meanwhile, from above, vines crawled down and snatched the rest of the first wave, coiling around them and choking them out. Elise ripped the spear from the body as it fell, and she focused on manipulating the vines as extra control over the battlefield.

Mia was quiet, she had been quiet since they found Aloy, her eyes taking it all in, the dead vode, the dead alliance soldiers...all of it because of the Sith. She closed her eyes and let out a sigh, her pledge to Darth Malum of House Marr Darth Malum of House Marr not forgotten. they would have to find a way to stop the endless cycle, but with the body count piling up, with the clans growing need for blood...there had to be some recompense.

She was snapped from her thoughts at the screeching alarm Liorra set off. "Har'chaak Liorra!" She was up and moving darting forward to grab the back of Liorra's armour and yank her back as the gunship's guns sprayed into the undead, shoving her towards the ship. Tugging her beskad free as they pelted towards it. They needed a break, they needed more ammo.

Anger surged in her.

"Ad'ike!" she called to them both "Can you circle us with a plant wall? It'll slow their advance, Aloy and I will cover you."

As she spoke she hauled herself onto the gunship for a better vantage point, dark spheres of energy surrounded her, eyes shifting to red behind her visor as she tapped into her rage, sending the spheres crashing into the undead that the guns could not reach.

Evelyn had run out of ammo for the disruptor two days ago, her shotgun had maybe a handful of rounds left, reserved for dire need, secured on her back with the rifle. She dropped hard onto her left knee, pain shooting through the joint as the beskar spear angled up punched through the jaw of an approaching abomination, its own momentum driving the spear out of the back of its skull as it began to slide down its length.

She released the spear, teleporting behind the undead to yank it through the rest of the way. Her left knee was throbbing, between the weeks of walking, he jungles damp and one too many hard falls, it was beginning to slow her down. She limped forward, flicking ichor of the spear. "Allaya, grant me strength." she muttered wincing with each step.

Another abomination charged towards her, she lifted her hand, magick curling about her hand like green smoke,. The earth punched up from the ground forming a fist that mimicked her hand, closing about the undead as she snapped her own fist close, gor exploding from it, before pulling it beneath the surface.

Weeks. Literal weeks they had walked this path. He was running low on ammo for the DC-17m now, the SE-44C's were fine, but they were only useful in short bursts before needing to cool down and each time they were used that got to be a long time since they weren't able to be maintained as well. Not to mention the explosive radius made them less useful when there were friendlies near the abominations which given the current situation was quite often. He pushed forward with the group as they cleared through the waves of hellspawn that greeted them at every turn. . Wearing the same armor he had during the meeting on Mephout, Kurayami lashed out with the Force, grabbing the nearest zombie and slamming it to the ground before slamming his boot down onto the skull crushing it underfoot.

The next ones that came by got a quick two shots from the DC-17m each, one in the head and one in the chest, putting them down and exhausting that clip. He slammed in the next clip and was quick to use the knuckleplate vibroblade to clear a couple close by that had closed while he reloaded. When they staggered back from the strike, he drew the SE-44C from his right thigh where it was mag clamped and fired at almost point blank range, just outside the range of the shockwave. Still the hastily constructed Force barrier nearly buckled under its pressure. He shook his head at the fact that he had to resort to such measures but it was better than becoming food.

"Yea, working on getting there! Couple of clicks ain't exactly a cakewalk right now ma'am! 'Specially when we gotta make sure someone else gets there as well."

Making sure that the witch they were escorting got to the point alive was not exactly easy, but he did his best to stay close enough that she wasn't in too much direct danger from the horde.

He ran, body close to the moldering plant matter and wet earth. The red ground passed quickly beneath his bare feet as his long strides ate the distance. Detritus of the looming trees pressed in around him as he dodged beneath a groping branch, the wet stink of the mulch and loam clung to his feet. The moonlight dapples the ground faintly, for the clouds are also running and the shadows are deep.

He is panting.

His body is superior, a gift beyond measure, but he has been running a long time and even he has limits. He remembers, distantly, like a dream more felt than recalled, a time before this one. A time when it was the raging tempest of another reality, of whispered voices overlapping and the echoing cries of the infinite.

He does not know how he came to leave that place and enter this one, overlooked by these iron-hard trees and their nightshade canopies. He does not know his name, nor his past, only that he is here, in a place that carries death in the sap of every plant and pain in the cry of every beast.

He was surrounded again. He had to shake His head to clear the vision that had overwhelmed Him. He panted through the filters of His buy'ce as He brought Himself back under control and focused on the cave of the fallen. He swung His beskad and scattered the few before Him. A gout of flames from a gauntlet that sputtered out early set another aflame. He had to make it over to His Huntress.

He closed on Her position, a creature leapt, leathery skin slick with viscera and decay met His outstretched hand and halted. Foul breath wafted over His armor.

"BE UNMADE." He said His voice a growling that vibrated the very fabric of reality with it's power as He willed the creature to be destroyed and it was.

He dropped the handful of dust as it's water fell to the gound reduced to base elements. He came up to Evelyn and offered a hand silently for a quick squeeze before taking up a position at Her left. He knew the knee was hurting, and He would cover Her on that side.

"Feth!"
The Huntress cursed, breathing ragged. She slammed her body against the trunk of a tree, trying her best to get a few more ragged breaths in before continuing. It had been days. Everyone was exhausted and running on fumes. Her beskar'gam was covered in mud, blood, and thick black ooze from the undead. They'd lost so many already.

Now to make it worse, Skye had run out of her Force suppression pills. This mission had taken far too long and she didn't have enough. Now she was a ticking time bomb. Sweat was already dripping heavily from her temples, saturating her underlayer. Most would think it had to do with how hard they'd been at it, and for the most part, it was true --- save that the Huntress was now feeling the stirrings of withdrawal hit her.

Focus. Just fucking, focus, Skye told herself through gritted teeth. Pushing herself off, she brought back up her blaster, arm snapping up to send a volley of blaster shots to the former Alliance member who had been one of their own, now curled over another soldier as it had attacked and infected it.

Without stopping, she shot the other soldier in the head in quick succession: double tap. He had just begun to squirm, fear in his eyes as the virus ran through him, already on its way to claiming him. His death as his eyes glazed over with twin smoking holes in his forehead was necessary.

They couldn't risk the virus spreading further. They had to get to the supply train.

Moving swiftly through the dense jungle foliage, Skye held her blaster pistol firmly in her hand. The air was thick with tension, and the sounds of battle echoed in the distance, urging her forward.

As she pressed on, Skye stumbled upon a scene of chaos. Members of both the Mandalorian Protectors and Galactic Alliance were engaged in a fierce struggle against their own comrades, who had been transformed into undead abominations. The once-loyal soldiers now fought with mindless aggression, their bodies twisted and corrupted by some unknown force.

Worse still, the commanders of both factions had been corrupted as well, transformed into grotesque, semi-organic beings infused with dark energy. Their weapons had become fused with their bodies, constantly spewing forth necrotic energy that decimated everything in their path.

Skye's heart pounded in her chest as she surveyed the scene before her. But she knew she couldn't afford to hesitate. With a steely resolve, she rushed forward, pushing through the fine tremor she was starting to feel at the lack of Force suppression.

"Focus on the two commanders; we need to take them down!" she shouted, her voice etched with a metallic timbre from her voice modulator under her helm.

25 rounds. That's all he had left. 25 and a handful of power packs. The last few days had been grewling, but that's why he always brought with him a handful of melee weapons. Ripping the survival knife off his leg, he charged forward, slicing the neck of a zombie, as he pulled it off a GADF soldier, before spinning around and throwing it into the head of another, running over and ripping it right out of the braincase of the zombie. The commanders. He hyper fixated on them, letting his AI plot of course through the horde. Spotting a GADF agent in the crowd, he knew his next objective. The man looked to be wearing one republic era armor, had to be one of those cryo-cases, surely. Or an enthusiast, but whatever. He charged in, immediately impaling his knife into the head of a zombie, before using it to leverage it into a meat shield he could use to push through the crowd, pulling the blaster cannon off his back, and mowing through the horde.

AS he reached the stranded agent, he let out a rally cry for his Vod.
"OYA!" he called, offering the Agent a hand. "Sorry, needed to let that-" He paused, lifting an arm to fire off a cryo burst at a zombie behind Driver. "out."

Annika walked along the narrow stone ledge that surrounded the upper half of the ancient ziggrat on Yavin IV. The air around her was thick with the darkness that spewed through and Annika felt the hairs prickling with its invigorating energies. She did not know how her reckless portalmancy at this very location linked to the portals that were here now, or even if it did at all, but she felt she could learn so much here. A large portal at the top of the tower swirled with energy as more spawns leaked out of it. She finished her lap of the tower, wanting to view it from all angles before stopping.

Something touched her foot, a fourteen inch long millipede, glistening with ichor and with glowing yellow eyes wrapped around her foot examined the lower part of her leg. "Go away, there are light siders in this planet for you to bite." she said to the fascinating creature as she felt it rearing up. Strangely it recognised her intent and relaxed before scuttling away and down the ziggurat with the rest of the swarm.

The sorceress casually tapped her nails on the top of the small carved skull that was attached to her hip while she thought about her next move, part of her wanted to step through the portal, and the carved skull of the child she carried seemed to want her to do the same. "Not yet" she smirked. The inhabitant of the skull still wouldn't reveal who she was, she did not get to call the shots.

Annika closed her eyes and tried to feel the presence of the dark portal, behind her lids her eyes became pools of purple darkness as she received across the veil into the hellscape within, or at least she tried, the was an interface at the portal that clawed at her soul as she tried to mentally cross it. It was more powerful than her, she didn't like that, but it was hardly the first time the acolyte had experienced such a power imbalance.

"Stop seeing yourself as an acolyte, sorceress" a whisper came from the skull, nudging her forwards.

A call had gone out from the Clan Mothers. The witches were given the approval to help the Mandalorians. Normally Brooke would have been half-way across the galaxy, doing what she did best, seeking new worlds for the Blue Coral Divers. But now? Now she was being tasked with something far more risky. Seeking new allies to help protect the worlds she found. And the Mandalorians were going to be part of that. With the bigger concerns in the galaxy, the Sith, the Jedi, and the wars they created occurring all around Dathomir, it was time for the Witches to step onto the stage to protect their world.

And perhaps, all the worlds.

But that felt so much better earlier. Now? Now she was stuck with some Mandalorians deep in the forests of Yavin. What she’d seen so far was not what she expected. Alliance troopers fighting their own. Well, she thought they were her own. They were all dressed the same. It only took a few sightings to realize that they were something much worse.

She opted to not take her songsteel armor, the one that was linked to her Siren persona, as a bounty hunter. And she fething regretted that. Blonde hair matted with mud, her blue robes torn and frayed. The Witch was running low on her own stamina. Reaching out in the Force, she pulled a tree down before diving for cover.

“They’re not slowing down!”
She called out, almost a scream, as she whispered a spell and fired a blast of blue into the fray, three… no, two… her concentration was skewed, tentacles popped out of the ground to grab two of the undead. All Brooke could do was keep them at bay and at a distance.

"She seems to be able to handle herself ok" Daesyn smiled as Asaaj En Kelsani Asaaj En Kelsani rematerialised next to Kurayami Bloodborn Kurayami Bloodborn once more and casually dusted embers off of her shoulder, in truth the hubris of the witch was causing her to expend more energy than she provably should and Daesyn was already becoming suspicious of the woman's true nature and the relationships she had with the other two less active women that had initially joined their party but, one by one had lost their lives. He was right though, every kilometre had been gruelling for the group. She looked at Evelyn Rekali Evelyn Rekali who had been nursing an injury for a while. "If that becomes too much, please let me look at it." their medical supplied were exhausted, so Daesyn would need to tap into the force in order to enact any healing, it wouldnt be a perfect fix but might offer the woman some comfort.

Another abomination burst from the trees and Daesyn reacted fast, her hammer flashed around and connected with the beast. She channeled force light into the weapon and by the grace of Manda, the abomination exploded in flames. As it burned Daesyn and those gathered would see the beskar helmet of the vod that had been corrupted like this clatter to the floor. Daesyn stopped for a few moments as the soul went to the manda and not for the first time, a tear ran down her cheek. "I would incinerate this whole planet from orbit if it meant ending the suffering of our brothers and sisters." she said with sadness to whomever stood closest to her at the time.

Another silent prayer and the incessant combat would have to continue.

Mig gripped his Echani blade and Sith dagger. He needed the speed right now that his usual trayc'kad just didn't offer. He looked around, taking a few breaths. Karking undead. He just had to to too willing to deal with this kind of stuff, didn't he? At least he and Noah could catch up. Right now though....

"Watch out ahead!" He called, slamming a foot to the ground, altering the earth ahead of him to send a ridge of earth rocketing towards some of the creatures. He wasn't expecting a blue milk run, but come on. He'd quickly slash into another creature as they approached. He looked back at the others, trying to see what was happening. "Have to admit this one's new for me."

It had been a grueling last few days. Hell, really. Driver had touched down to perform recon for the SIA when the crisis first broke out, tasked with securing force artifacts that could be linked to the outbreak of Black Wing. Just his luck that he'd wind up stuck behind enemy lines amidst the horde. The entire operation had gone to hell here, with commanding officers of the GADF and Protectors cut down and raised to serve the enemy.

To say it was messy wasn't even the beginning of it.

"And I thought Dathomir was nasty," Driver hissed. The old clone raised a hand cannon, setting it to 'hot load.' "Disruptor rounds! Clear!"

Driver fired a round into the horde, which resulted in a noteworthy explosion. He was rather fond of his 'Big Iron.' An anti-tank gun that could fit in one hand? They didn't have tech like this back in the Clone Wars. The following shower of undead limbs and organs was certainly impressive, but it wasn't long before more spilled in to fill their place. Driver slipped back into cover, letting out an exhale from behind his helmet.

"Only got one more of those," he relayed. "Blasted commanders are further back. Any of you secretly packin' a dark saber?"

That was the thing that Vizla bastard had back in the day, right? He hadn't ever found himself standing down Death Watch, but it was hard to ignore the Mandalorians, especially as a clone. They did train him and his brothers. At the very least, some things seemed to stay the same.

"Only got one more of those," he relayed. "Blasted commanders are further back. Any of you secretly packin' a dark saber?"
"VercopaÖ, that would make this a lot easier." He said, acknowledging the solider as he aimed a shot right over the clone's shoulder, having pulled a blaster pistol out of a holster, firing a river of particle bolts into the crowd. "You got the location of those commanders. we clear a path together, yeah? I got few power packs to spare if you need them, brother."

Without a word, he spun around, turning his blaster cannon to a club as he whipped it around, hitting a zombie in the side with the barrel, before he pulled the barrel back and fired a single heavy shot into the chest of the thing. The blaster cannon would only do him so well for now. It was running low already, and his head said he only had about 15 shots left in the thing. Slinging it onto his back, he pulled out his shotgun. He had a few grenades left, but he knew they wouldn't last long enough...

Lio moved with haste upon hearing Aloy's instructions, she hadn't met the vod until they had reached Yavin and that was weeks ago. She grew to respect the Vizsla woman and right now she was just damn happy there was ammo in that cannon. Already manipulating the plants around them, the young warrior heard the al'verdes orders and shouted toward her vod, "Vod Elise tome gursr a ker, sur'ar bat ji'marepu'armr shi emuurir gar e'lyrea ni, jav." Rushing toward Elise, Lio would be at the other woman's side focusing with the Force on creating a plant wall around them whilst the fires from the cannons ripped through the tense atmosphere.

"Gar ru uhyih solus vod, mhi akaanir tome, gar bal ni olaror bat rala taylir ker bal miak mhi malyasa'yr trattok'or norac tome." There was only going to be so much ammo in that blasted cannon and they were running off of fumes at this point. Huffing as she tried to catch her breath as sweat ran down her face, Lio shouted attempting to be heard over the cannon fire to the rest of her team. "Vod meg yirhaou ibac jupayr a kisol ltile norac ret mhi liser viinir norac at bic bal kebbur at mar'eyir a'uym miai ohlkana?"

Then in a low voice she spoke directly to Elise with a bit of a somber tone, but in a way that told Elise there was a bit of jest if albeit dark humor in there as well, "Va ner betkr Tom kyrayc ganar c'ati uyaluka, mirdir val kapr copaanir er be etie sara'gagr norac."

All the while the six crystals she had taken from her other, rattled in her pocket.

Noah grunted as he swung his beskad at yet another undead that was coming a little too close to comfort to the witch they were escorting. This had been the routine for nearly a week now as Noah, Mig and two other Mandalorians that he did not know had been escorting the witch to their designated objective. With him he had brought a squad of House Corek's elite warrior, the Supercommando's but now they were all slain by the undead beasts they were currently up against.

Usually the man would be using his rifle and pistols to keep the undead at a distance but he had run out of ammunition two days ago and now had to resort to his up close and personal weapons. He laughed when Mig spoke about this being new to him. "Believe it or not, this isn't new to me. When I was serving with the Omega Pyre we tangled with undead on Dagobah...ended up shot down in a shuttle and fighting through the jungle."

The Blue Coral Witch had darted behind the towering tree she had uprooted, prompting Skye to curse under her breath. Pushing herself forward, the huntress hurried towards the blonde witch to ensure her safety.

A menacing growl echoed from her right, and Skye swiftly swung her aim towards the soldier staggering towards her. Her lips pressed into a thin line, but there was no hesitation as she aimed and fired two quick subsequent shots. The body collapsed to the ground with a thud, emitting a ghastly growl before lying still.

The tremors of her hand intensified as she felt the withdrawal symptoms get worse, causing Skye's hand to flex within its gauntlet as she clenched her jaw in frustration. Redirecting her focus to Brooke Waters Brooke Waters , she hurried to protect the witch.

[ Get up, ] her voice was terse. Her hand reached out to grasp Brooke's mud-splattered arm. The blonde appeared disheveled, worn out from the ongoing ordeal. The strain of exhaustion was evident in the weary lines etched across Brooke's face.

[ Can you chant a spell to immobilize one of the commanders? ] Skye asked urgently. [ We need something to hold them in place. ]
