DESCRIPTION
Looking to yet again craft another tool and weapon for use by the Legion, the Legions's armorers began formulating ideas on what they could design. With almost every other tool having already been made they decided that an axe would be appropriate as it was a good all around tool and weapon for a wide variety of circumstances.

With the type of weapon/tool chosen the armorers began to think and spitball on the materials they would use in the axe's construction. They decided to borrow many of the materials from already existing pieces of gear the Legion fielded, the axe head, spike and handle was constructed out of Duranium for its lightweight construction and yet surprising durability. The axe's head was also plated in Cortosis Weave to give it protection from lightsabers. Lastly the handle was wrapped in rubber to improve gripping and comfort.

The armorers next moved onto the features they would include in the axe. The main features was an axe blade useful for all sorts of purpose from cutting down foliage to cutting through the enemy. A spike was added to the reverse side of the axe blade that can be used as a impromtu digging tool or weapon. A textured grip allows for a more firm grip while a self-sharpening sheath keeps the blade from being dulled. The finally inclusion was a ultrasonic vibration generator that gives the axe a massive boost to its cutting power versus more traditional designs.
