What does it matter what I look like? I'm a damn good pilot and that's all that should matter, right? Fine, I'm just a regular looking guy, and I would be one if I didn't crash a few years ago. Why do they really think that I need to describe what I look like? What’s to tell? There’s the scar from the idiot that thought I was cheating at Sabbacc. I mean so what if I had an extra “five” card in my sleeve? Who cares? It’s not like I used it, even if I was going to if I need it. Then on my chest are the implants.
Oh yeah! The Implants!
Nooooo, not “those” kinds of implants! What do I look like? An easy blonde?
So if you look underneath my shirt you can see some implants, no big deal, nothing illegal, right? So what if they help my reflexes. So what if they help me to be a better flyer? You wouldn't know it otherwise. Who cares?

WHAT MAKES ME “ME”!
▲ Born into this – The Angellus family bloodline shows a history of military service, be in Army, Navy, Marines or Starfighter corps back over 3000 years. Liram takes his lineage seriously, he is a part of history and while you may not know it, that means something to him.
▲ “Leads from the front.” - He’s a “Legacy” and a natural but you would never know it as more often than not, “Maverick” is leading the proverbial charge. He does not have to, but the pilot will always share the danger.
▲ “Devil Pilot” - “Maverick” is considered insane in a cockpit. Willing to take the most risks, pull off some of the wildest maneuvers, and take on the most dangerous. He is not blaster proof, but he finds a way to get out of them.
▲Placebo - He has enhancements in his chest that help his circulation and reflexes, this is true. However, the person that told him that these will make him a better pilot lied. The effect though has given Liram the confidence to do what he does without the fear of failure.
▲Well Rounded
He is a starfighter pilot, it’s who he is plain and simple. However, a lot of Liram’s history is on the command deck of a bridge. While he has not worked a day in his life on a bridge, Liram has studied the tactics of the present and the past and uses them in his fighter.
▲ Can fly anything - Liram is a natural, and took the time to learn a lot about the systems from fighters to shuttles, to freighters to even capital ships (never flown one before, but how hard could it be?).
OH WHATEVER, I’M NO WEAKLING
▼ Big Mouth - The problem with speaking your mind is that not everyone can handle the truth. A tactful person would take this into consideration, Liram doesn’t give a (censored), with repeated reprimands for verbal behavior it has brought him a reputation and not made him a lot of friends.
▼ Often sets the wrong example - He may be a good leader, he may inspire and bring out the best in others, but Liram’s actions both in a fighter and on the ground sometimes give his subordinates the wrong idea and give them problems in their career.
▼ Can be arrogant - Not as invincible as he thinks he is. There have been times where Maverick has gotten into “The (censored)” and needed to be bailed out by wingmates. While this can happen normally, these situations were times when he should have had a wingman or two.
▼ Ticking Time bomb - If he finds out the truth about those implants, he will probably be spooked for the rest of his career.

[SLIDE]
Liram is the latest in a long, long line of Angellus’ military service. All the way back to the days of the old Hyperspace Wars. They may not always have been around the “top of the food chain” but they were there and served with distinction. From Fleet Admirals to Brigadier Generals, to Air Marshalls the life was a tough one, but the tradition and the legacy were tougher, even the stories of those who “quit”, like Sauren and Arestul were not until after they had seen some kind of success.
From Hiros Angellus, the Republic Soldier that took down a platoon of Sith Soldiers in a firefight, saving the lives of several of his compatriots before finally succumbing to his injuries, to Kam Angellus whose "traitor" fleet, one to whom he named "The Angel of Death Squadron" held off and destroyed a significant amount of the infamous "Death Squadron", keeping them from leading the first Death Star to Yavin, even sending the Executor flagship into drydock for months before finally being choked to death by the dark lord himself. Even Kam's own son Arestul, finding the Imperial installation inside the Maw and setting up its destruction by the New Republic, history is embroiled by Angellus'. More often than not in the background, "what the cameras did not see" there have not always been such integral figures, but there has always been an Angellus where one was needed the most.
It did not matter what branch of service, the family line was imprinted with a natural ability to inspire, a tactical knowledge that most considered "insane", but insanely effective, a problem with authority, but a natural ability to lead.
Liram is no different. He takes his family history seriously and knows what he brings to the table. However, like his dad Jaizoos, he did not allow it to go to his head, in fact just the opposite. His service record in the outer rim and unknown regions is almost legendary, as is his arrest record. He’s spent more time in the brig than the military police who would put him there. He would be riding a desk right now if not for both his service record and arrests as a whole, they have both held him back and saved his career.
It is not that he is a bad guy, not at all, but he tends to be a bit “hot-headed” when it comes to his mouth, always speaking his mind, even at the cost of the respect of his superiors. No, he may not be wrong in his observations, but he is in his tactfulness. However this tends to often inspire others to follow him, that and the fact that he refuses to “lead from behind”, no way, Liram once raced a squadron of A-Wings performing an “A-Wing Slash” in his X-wing just because he wanted in on the action.
An incredibly instinctive pilot, Liram is one who can not only hit the precise targets at high speeds, he can hit targets in the middle of evasive maneuvers. This can also be his weakness, as he once crashed and had significant nerve damage to his upper body, shunts had to be put in that improve his reflexes, he tends to think that they make him a better pilot but this remains to be seen.
His family life is nothing special, he is divorced, though still friends (in fact if you spoke to each of them long enough you would figure they still love each other, just wanted different things) Susana. She and his son Bairoan(Baron) are still living in Naboo, where he was born and his parents Jaizoos and Maryah still live as well. He has three sisters, Lita, Nadya, and Rubiya, two of whom are married and are “military wives”, though Rubiya’s husband is a bit suspect in his motives. He appears to have only married into the family hoping the name recognition will help him in his career.
A Commander in the Galactic Alliance Starfighter Corps, he quit because of their lack of principle. It was an oddly bold move considering he was next in line for a Wing Commander position. However, his belief that their refusal to act on what is right, and only on what is convenient pushed him away from the remnant of the Republic his family had been a part of for so long and to the Silver Concord. They've decided to make him a C.A.G. how will he do? Will he excel in this position he was practically born for, or will he crash and burn?
Only time will tell.
Liram has gained some respect for the officers he has worked with already. There was a mission that bailed out a Jedi of all people. That one was interesting, but there was not only a camaraderie that was missing but a reason to fight. He did not have to make a deal, he did not have to compromise, he just fights, and that seems to work pretty darn well.
