When the Dark Councilor plummeted down the sloped earth the Traitor General was there in tow, his heavy boots clinging to the earth as he clutched the halberd tightly in one hand. As Deathshead all but ripped Cognus limb from limb in the field of battle not only a few dozen meters from where their had their tilt. The meeting at the heads seemed to go just the same in an mismatch of wills. In a bout in which universally a spectator would expect the Dark Councilor to rip the Traitor limb from limb and strew his organs across the open field with relative ease, in its stead, the man was struck cold by Imperial tact.

A dirty trick perhaps - but in all reality, a gruesome equalizer. It only vindicated Tavlar's perception of these Sith. With the full command of the force, Kascalion was one of the most powerful beings living. Without it, little better than a sniveling child. And it showed as he laid collapsed. Even Tavlar could feel a lion's share of the life leaving his form when he struck his skull with the plasmatic blade of the weapon before impaling his abdomen and forcing him down this meager ledge. A horrid fall from grace for a man who spearheaded the very innovation of the Sith Empire's instruments of death, the same to which Tavlar conducted for decades prior to now.

Confined within his horrific visions as the quivering remains of the Devil Lion writhed, clawing for liberation from its wretched prison of nightmarish sights. Unknowingly - Tavlar sought to liberate this man from this torture. Retracting the full length of the weapon's haft into a more concealable hilt as he approaches the writhing Councilor.

Crouching down the General plants a kneel on the man's abdomen as he brings a hand to clasp ahold Giedfield's skull within the bone crunching force of his crush gaunt. Keeping it in suspended above the ground as the man shakes and writhes in fear before soon enough the vibro-arbir axe head of the weapon crushing down against the Devil Lion's throat in a clean and vicious cut. From this, the proxy had served its purpose or at the very least, completed its run. Slowly standing himself up he peered into the armored visage of the slain Dark Councilor. It was from this that Tavlar felt little to no personal gratification.

What should've been a prized kill- what he felt however was a reprieve in himself. Though this move of attacking the Sith, ultimately throwing down the gauntlet of this rebellion was a brazen one, it was also nigh suicidal. To see his plan of attack come to full fruition was as much reassuring as it was reinvigorating. The rebellion had its teeth, it had plucked a soul from the highest of high in the Sith Empire. None of these Sith were safe, they could not merely wait in seclusion in their decadent realms to wait for the entirety of the rebellion to 'blow over'. Either the throne would be dismantled or Tavlar's host put to the sword.

Clutching the Devil Lion's head still encased in his helmet with his crushing grip the Traitor General turned and made way toward the waning moments of the battle at their backs. The Stormtroopers had all but secured the position with the crack and rupturing of blaster fire waning with each passing moment. With the sight of their General reemerging from the crucible they offered little but a stern nod from behind their helmets. It was then that they signaled that they were a united cause ; beyond marching behind Tavlar in this moment of great betrayal. In turn, it was no betrayal at all. The Sith had forsaken their Imperial underlings and in this, the Imperials had shown that their time under the boot heel of the Dark Creed had ended. A New Imperial Order would see itself battle with this Sith Empire and rise its victory, an identity of a greater nation rather than that of a select few adherent to an insular dynasty.

Even still, the day was not won yet and this gesture was still nothing in the wake of the titanic Sith Imperial war machine.

Location: Den Velmor Castle
Allies: TSE, Vallaro Kindall Vallaro Kindall , Leon Amun Leon Amun Haro Lergo Haro Lergo
Enemies: SJO & its allies, Apostate forces

The castle stood tall before the Sith Lord's dark clergy, a once beautiful body made a battleground as the malignant tumors that were the Silver forces spread across its mighty visage. Alas, a most skilled team of surgeons had arrived ready to return the form to its quintessence. Better even! For it would soon serve the purposes of the Sith Empire. Hallowed were those fortunate to serve such a righteous cause. Smoke rounds ensnared an armored column advancing on the heavily defended southern wall just two streets over. A moment later they were assailed by booming mortar fire and a myriad of other defensive installations.

"You there, hand me your target locator," Venari commanded a nearby legionnaire, who complied with utmost haste. In one hand Venari targeted the Southern Wall, in the other he raised his comlink, "Colonel Walder, divert our howitzers' fire to my target location."

"Yes, my Lord," the colonel answered immediately.

A distant whirr grew to until it was that of the bone-shaking Krayt Dragon's roar. Artillery rounds crashed against the Silver defenses in a series of resounding blasts that consumed the wall and surrounding area. When the dust settled the wall was in shambles, the southern defense now rested in the hands of snipers stationed in an adjoined tower that was still mostly intact. The legion would advance undeterred. A moment later the remains of the Imperial column engaged the Silver survivors. Venari sneered at the carnage. A magnificent day indeed. He was quickly snapped back to reality as a large concussion missile rocketed above, piercing pillars of smoke and the sunset bathed sky, blasting off into space. The fight was still far from over.

"Well done Colonel. Give me a sitrep on Den Velmor, how goes the harvest?"

"My Lord, the former CO, a major Tills, had diverted preexistent armored assets away from the harvesting convoys to assist in the castle siege. I've recalled sixty-five percent of them and reinforced the harvest units with the repulsor tanks and walkers we brought. A few heavy units were disabled by way of ion attack but have rebooted and are back on target. We have since secured another twenty percent of the conscripts though we did lose some to Silver counter ops. I took the liberty of calling down several barbican shield generators to counter enemy harassment; the former police station and surrounding AA defenses have been secured within the shield. The skies remain contested, as our fighters are unable to take the offense while fending off their airborne ion attacks. Still, my Lord, we've secured the bulk of our targets and much of the city. That said, Silver forces have locked down their LZs and surrounding parts of the capital. Until the castle itself is taken we will be locked in stalemate as the large remainder of city's young are within Silver secured perimeters. Our assets are for the most part safe but await your victory to advance,"

Some Sith would reprimand or even kill their subordinates for not reaching the most stalwart of results, even in the face of impossible odds. Venari was not one of those Sith. He understood the battlefield and its intricacies. Their legion couldn't commit to the offensive and simultaneously safeguard the harvest. As much as he wanted the Silvers dead, Walder had secured the objective, his legion, and the majority of the territory. Accomplishing that, the Colonel prepared for the continuation of the harvest. A man of sheer efficiency. The barbicans were a one-way shield that would protect all those within without hampering their ability to fire out. A normally risky play due to the side effect of added aggression but the legionnaires could use that against attacking rangers.

"Very well colonel, I shall deliver that victory soon enough. Await my word," Venari pocketed the communicator then turned to his forces, "within those walls lie the fiery hopes of the Silvers. Their forces rely on the line of demarcation drawn by the castle. We're going to breach their defenses, extinguish their pathetic flame and purge all those that oppose us! Now! Together! As one! For the Empire!" He shouted. The legionnaires roared with renewed vigor as they charged through the debris to the crumbled southern wall, behind them the Sith Lord and his team barreling toward the fortress.

As the main force breached the damaged wall and entered Velmor Castle, Venari cut short at the adjoined, sniper occupied tower. Shrapnel riddled the foundation with holes, weakening the infrastructure. With an extended hand Venari seized the mutilated base and pulled with a telekinetic grasp. Loose stone and framework collapsed outward.

To a nearby Sergeant the Sith lord said, "maintain the assault at the base levels of the castle, my team will bypass straight to the top and knock out their defenses before calling in our own." He then entered the tower, finding himself at the bottom of a large spiral staircase.

"It will be done, my Lord!" the Sergeant responded at his back.

Venari and his team ascended the tower. The only resistance had been the team of snipers, which he and his attendants had cut through swiftly, relieving the legion of their long-range harassment. The spiral march came to an end as the surgeons approached the source of the malignancy. Breaching the top level of the castle, mortar teams had set up to continue their attacks and the Silver's own AA positions were being readied. Three crimson blades whirled into the nearest of the mortar units killing the installations four handlers. Rangers shouted in alarm of the intruders, "you arrogant fools thought to ascend the skies and escape the ground below," Venari preached, his arms partly raised while his lightsabers continued to cut into the opposition, "so confident in your wings you disregarded the sun, and now you shall burn away."

His team charged onto the roof engaging enemy rangers. Recalling his sabers, Venari danced across the roof, cutting away at the cancerous Silver forces. Flesh, bone and armor yielded to the flurry of his floating weapons. Shouts of misery were cut short as the Sith Lord gave them the mercy of a swift death. It was more than they deserved for their offense. Still, Den Velmor would be theirs until it could no longer serve its purpose. Only then would it be discarded and made free of the Empire's grasp. Allowed to recoup itself in wait of the day the Sith returned.

She pulled the trigger. An instant after she experienced what few of her targets had escaped. The bolt lanced from below, striking from the outer periphery of her vision to sear into the helmet.

Ruek's body followed the spiral backward, her arm throwing the rifle into the air as she fell onto her back. The systems of the helmet crackled and smoke filled the inner chamber. Shallow coughs informed her she was sufficating as she rolled onto her knees. Frantic fingers unclasped the seal of the helmet, twisting it off then slamming it onto the ground.

While still knelt she reached her hand to explore the burn on the right side of her head, discovering the top of her ear missing. There was little pain, the adrenaline masking the sensation for the moment.

"Did you see? We were spotted because I was greedy. Are you happy? Did you not want me to be stopped?" She waited for a reply.

Tast was silent.

Ruek fumed. Never had she known him to be so callous and unreasonable. She gathered her rifle and calculated her next move.

Without her camouflaged helmet the Alder-Espirion was a distinct target against the earthy cliffside. White hair, red skin. She reached behind, pulling the hood of the thick cape over her head. She slunk from the compromised area.

She was closer to the field several meters up. The insignias of uniforms were visible if one strained to see, and she was near the middle line of combat where the valley bottlenecked. Ruek unclasped one of two frag grenades, activating it, then chucking it into the side more heavily populated with enemy combatants.

She slid down one of the sloping outcrops of rock, taking a quick shot to free the mind of another target. At this range lining up a shot took more time than it was worth.

............Hot plasma sprung from the fiery blades as the two Forcers clashed. The combatants could not be more different from each other. In philosophy, in fighting style. It was a truly spectacular sight. One that wouldn't last long as the Ren delivered a powerful blow, the Jedi only barely blocking it before being sent tumbling through the dirt. Alright, well now seemed like a good time to step in.

............The Shacklebolt clattered to the ground as Dax stood and pulled his saber's from his belt, the orange and yellow blades screaming to life as Rogue rushed in towards the Ren, not affording his opponent any time to breathe, or get the finishing blow on the Jedi. A quick slash with his right hand towards the torso, followed by an overhand blow with the left. Dax didn't expect either attack to land, but it might've caught the Ren off-guard.

"Kyrel Ren," the Rogue said, putting a little space between himself and the Dark Sider. "It's about time, missed you on Mustafar."

Dax risked a glance over to the Jedi. He recognized her, but only just. And she was still breathing, that was a plus. "It's two against one, Ren. I know even you can do that math." Who was Dax kidding? Ren? Surrender? Those words didn't go together.

It occurred to Joycelyn that the woman only understood, or heard, some of what was said. Whether it was by an inability to hear, or an inability to comprehend, she could not immediately ascertain. Yet, they locked eyes and a smile curled the corners of Joycelyn's lips.

A droid appeared on the girl's shoulder, a translator perhaps?

Joycelyn stepped forward a quarter step as the girl instinctually stepped back, maintaining the distance between them. The flash of light made her squint and reflexively raise a hand to shield her eyes, but it was less of a piercing light than she had expected. The silver pin on her shoulder still remained un-burned.

Joycelyn lowered her hand to once more lock eyes with the stranger, now with some more scepticism, but still a skirting smile breaking into a smirk.

"Lost?" her eyebrows furrowed.

She waved finger in dismissal

"Reposessed, given a new home and a new life." her hand curled in emphasis. "It has been lost for all this time and only now is it found."

Her grip tightened around the vase, threatening almost to shatter it for a moment before she relaxed her grip and looked down once more on the golden sheen of the vase depicting the fall of Jedi at the hands of their clone troopers.

"These testimonies of our triumph."

Large chunks of duracrete and stone were hurled about by the monstrous creature known as Lirka Ka Lirka Ka , crashing into the parked speeders where Beltran and his people had taken cover. Ducking down, Beltran sucked in a tight breath. Unlike Kintan, the Lorrdian Lieutenant was wearing his standard Katarn armor rather than the heavily fortified A.I.P.S. armor. That meant that he, and his people were far more vulnerable to attacks like this.

As if to provide an underscore to this thought, there was a sudden cry over his comlink. It was quickly cut off as the latest boulder struck home and utterly obliterated one of his men. A second later, the tight controlled voice of Sergeant Lota came over the squad com channel. "Icarus-12 is down. My HUD is showing no vital signs."

"Mother-fether!" Said Specialist Reece a second later. "He owed me fifty credits!"

"Enough." Beltran cut in, coming up to a kneeling position and siting in once more on the beast-woman. "Doss," He called to the squad's marksman. "I need you to hit those Sith Legionnaires at the end of the intersection with everything you got. Keep them from advancing while we deal with this."

"On it, boss." Doss responded. From his overhead position, the giant sniper poured fire on the incoming Sith infantry. A few of the other Rangers who were in a position to do so also joined Doss in harrying the enemy advance.

"Reece," Beltran continued. "I want you to start wiring these parked speeders to blow. I want a big boom."

"You just said the magic words, bossman." Reece came back.

"Sergeant, get ready to pull the squad back out of the blast zone. I'm going to engage this...thing myself. Get it nice and pissed and hopefully she'll follow us right into the blast zone."

"Acknowledged, El Tee."

Beltran trusted his people to get it done, so he put any further strategic considerations out of his mind as he rose to his feet. Those Rangers not assigned to specific tasks would split their fire between the advancing Sith Legionnaires and Lirka Ka Lirka Ka . Behind his helmet, the Lorrdian let a small predatory smile cross his lips as he set his rifle to fire a single super-charged shot.

Then he keyed his vox modulator and spoke out loud to the beast. "Time to dance." He told her. He then activated his jump jets and flew into the air toward her, aiming the barrel of his rifle right at her face. He would wait until the last possible moment before firing the bolt directly at her and attempting to pull up. In the back of his mind, Beltran thought briefly of K Kaine Australis . Hopefully this would provide the Mandalorian enough of a distraction to put some firepower into the beast-woman.

Ura nodded towards the Knight as he told her to take a breath. Not something she actually could do, but the sentiment wasn’t lost on her. He told her to focus on now, and what she could do. Right. She could help keep the civilians safe. Keep people safe. The reason she was a militia trainee before, and a Padawan now. To keep people safe. Then the chatter of comms fell silent.

A Ranger called out that they were being jammed. Great. She’d heard Kyra Perl Kyra Perl and Acaadi Acaadi mention this before with Kintan. This wasn’t good.

“If I had a link to someone else here, I could try telepathy. But without a clear target I can’t.” One time this ability would be good and she can’t use it. Of course. It was then that she noticed Caedyn run quickly into the fray. He was going somewhere, and she wasn’t going to let him do this alone. She ran after him, quickly slicing at some troopers, mostly staying non-lethal when she could.

“What’s going on?”

If I had a link to someone else here, I could try telepathy.
But without a clear target I can’t.
What’s going on?.
It was commendable of Ura Iolar to come rushing into the conflict in aid of his fellow Jedi, and something to appreciate in seeing the Padawan braving the risks and taking a stand against their fears; It was the act of a Jedi and no small feat for a Student, no matter how desensitized one might become to it as a Jedi Knight.

"Sith Forces are moving on the nearby Castle Fortress" Caedyn called atop the sounds of combat, sweeping his Bo Staff around to batter the helm of the trooper before him and knocking them to the ground, soon following with a hard and heavy vertical strike to put them out cold. Not dead, but unconscious and no longer at risk of harming anyone.

"Sounds like the Comm's went dead after that?" Caedyn asked just to be certain, though it was more of a rhetorical question as he had their objective in mind, all the same. They were closer than most to the Fortress, and he doubted that any local authoritarian agents could withstand against a Sith Lord were there to be one in the vicinity.

"Leave the Rangers to secure the area for EVAC" Caedyn instructed, waving Ura on to follow alongside him as the Jedi Knight picked up the pace into a steady jog, "Let's go!".

The landing proceeded rougher than he'd thought it would. For a split second, he remained motionless, bracing against the pain that shot up through his legs and spine. The clack of armour locking into place interrupted his recovery, forcing action before he was wholly set in readiness. The smoothness of the lightsabre hilt slid into his gloved hand, activating its faintly blue blade with a quiet hiss.

The sharp burst of blaster fire lit up the darkened street in crimson red. A few quick motions saw the bolts redirected at the legionnaires. The movement was fluid, rehearsed. Hundreds of hours spent studying the katas of Shien made easy work of ranged defence. The cerulean shadow returned to a passive position, facing the bloody-faced Sith as Bernard rose to his feet. His pale eyes locked with the vivid red of his foe's. An impassive expression stared down the outrage.

With a simple flourish, he brought his sabre forward and slid his left leg back, bringing his side to bare against his opponent. He stood up straight, off-hand placed behind his back.

"Do you intend to fight as they did?" his voice was calm, almost detached, as his head nodded towards the three soldiers either dead or unconscious, saved by their armour.

After taking on a few groups of Sith forces, Reggie was able to gather a small group of civilians with him. Now he was taking refuge within a building not occupied by enemy troops, keeping his eye out on the streets for the inevitable increase of enemy forces in the area. He would have to get them to a safer place where there are other allies around. If others joined his small group, it would be more difficult to defend them by himself. Reggie had to think of the best course of action.

Reggie knew there were others nearby, he just had to regroup with them. He tried to contact others through comm but had no luck with it. He assumed that communications were jammed or something of the like. With that not an available option, he went with the force. Reggie reached out with the force, sensing for anyone in range he could communicate with through telepathy. Fortunately, he was able to find someone nearby and didn't have to stretch himself too thin. Not only that, but it was someone he believed he knew. Reggie would usually ask for permission before speaking through another's mind, but he didn't have too many options at the moment.

"Ura, is that you? Are you in an area where civilians can be evacuated safely?"

Vallaro relieved himself of command. Velmor Castle was not the place to give orders, it was a place for action. While it was prudent for the Sith Lord to lead the charge, protected as he was by an array of lightsabers and the force. Vallaro made sure his team didn’t come to rely on having a force user take the lead. In his line of work, relying on an outsider was a first-class ticket to an early grave. As Venari used the force to create their opening Vallaro He turned to Leon, the group's very own armored giant. “Alright Leon, you’re in first,” he said to the over seven-foot-tall amalgamation of man and metal. As Leon took the lead, Vallaro and Haro would follow.

Stonework collided with the earth with a resounding thud. The way was open, and the team began their assault. Charging up the spiral staircase ahead of the group made short work of the sniper team perched in their path. The cracking of slug fire filled the air as suppressing fire forced the snipers to take cover. When they did Leon was free to close the distance and send them flying off the structure with a hearty toss.

Finally, atop the structure, Vallaro filled several of the remaining rangers with holes as Trifaraleen gas infected their bullet wounds and turned their corpses to dust. These men would not ever receive a proper burial, such was the price of their failing defense. The team pushed further onto the roof. The cacophony of slug and blaster fire slowed the rangers number dwindled. There was a single elongated scream as the last of the rangers was tossed from the roof by Leon with little effort. Vallaro scanned the roof once more.

“The roof is ours, now to clean out the rest of this place”

It took a great deal of willpower to not roll her eyes as Master Morga gave his pronouncement. She very nearly allowed them to do so, but she managed to stop herself from reacting to the cliched lines except for a small smile that flitted across her lips. She didn't move from her position on the examination table besides crossing her legs, lightsaber hilt moving from the table to rest in her lap.

"I think the expected response from me would be something along the lines of you can try, ignite my lightsaber, and all that, but no."

She shook her head, purple eyes amused.

"We both know the New Jedi Order and the Galactic Alliance of a few years ago needed to be brought down," she said conversationally, not even bothering to address his command to surrender and that she might live. "Zealotry is unbecoming of Jedi, something my sister was very much hesitant about when she brought her Republic faction to Omai Rhen. Look how easy it was for me to nudge a third of the Jedi and Alliance to the dark side and the Sith. If they had been more moderate in their beliefs, more... I suppose accepting, Operation: Eclipse would never have happened."

She tilted her head in curiosity.

"You can put that away, Master Morga, there's no need for a lightsaber. I have no intention of starting a fight, so that will leave you to be the aggressor. I merely wish to have... a conversation. Perhaps we can air some grievances we have hmm?"

A Light Shining in Darkness
Taeli didn’t move from her spot, but her request to have Maliphant lose his ignited lightsaber would not be met with acceptance. Instead, he actually broke a smile - for all that she had caused, Taeli seemed no more than any of the other’s he had faced. His voice would reflect that -
Do Sith share a script when it comes to moral ethics?”, he said with a cock of his brow.
Moral absolution from a Sith proves to me you never understood the Jedi - validated by your current predicament.”, he mused as he continued to point the lightsaber at her - bathing them both in a blue haze.
Bound by my morals and code to not attack you, because you don’t intend to attack me.”, he said with a shake of his head.
Whatever will I do?”
And in the moment, he rushed forward with the blade towards Taeli’s core - directly at her heart. It was an attack embued with his full speed and strength in the Force, to end the fight as soon as possible, and drag her back to Peace for a trial. If she wanted to speak, she would have to do it between saber cadences.

An eyebrow arched as Wyatt Morga Wyatt Morga bantered back at her about Sith and moral ethics and absolutism. She was perfectly well aware that Sith were not ones to talk about morals. Force, she certainly didn't have any when it came to her scientific pursuits and Force studies, and the leading Sith… well the Emperor was a prime example. Current feelings on any Mandalorian aiding Australis aside, she knew fully well that the Sith and the dark side went hand in hand with atrocities.

She also wasn't asking him to lower his weapon because of the Jedi's traditional stance on aggression. She knew very very very well that modern Jedi had no qualms about launching the first attack in a duel. Many from the New Jedi Order even took pride in the fact, she had found, Coren foremost among those that fought first, talked later if ever. No, she had asked out of a genuine desire to have a discussion with the man rumored to be leading the latest attempted resurgence of the Jedi into a united front. She was curious about the young man, his views...

And then he was rushing forward in a burst of Force-enhanced speed, lightsaber poised for her heart. With a small sigh, she rolled backwards over the edge of the table onto her feet, red blade igniting from the saber now in her hand to parry the tip of the blade away to the side.

"Now that was uncalled for," she remarked, holding her blade in a defensive Soresu stance. She would keep the table between them for the moment, although she fully expect something from the Grandmaster to either take it out of the equation or leap up onto it for a temporary height advantage. "And I understood the Jedi perfectly well, ten years among the Jedi will do that no matter what."

A Light Shining in Darkness
You could’ve just surrendered.”, he mused as she let the table sit between them - at least for the moment.
His heel slammed into the edge of the table with a brutal force, denting the durasteel on his side, ripping it from the ground before them, and launching it directly after her - with him following shortly behind. Like her, he expected one of two options - to stop it with the Force, in which case he would simply cut through the table and at her, or she would cut it herself, in which case he would be waiting on the other side with blade in hand.
If you understood the Jedi, you wouldn’t be a Sith now, Taeli.”, Wyatt offered as the table situation was dealt with in whichever way she so chose. His blade ran to his side in a traditional Makashi form, transitioned from the Niman style he was just in.
No, now you claim the kill on an animal bleeding out, unable to run from another hunter. For all that pride, I thought you’d take more in something you actually did yourself. Not ‘Operation: Nightfall’.”

"Says the man who went for the heart first," she glibly stated to his remark about surrendering. To be fair to that, she had asked to talk and he had attacked so it wasn't exactly an incentive for her to accept his word on safe passage. His Force-enhanced kick sent the table flying towards her, her lightsaber flickering out to carve it in two so the pieces fell to either side, her blade still poised in her defensive stance.

"The Jedi serve the Force, the Balance of Life and Death," she continued, slowly circling as he shifted stances. She was not surprised that Wyatt Morga Wyatt Morga had practiced different styles of the lightsaber. Many did nowadays. "Balance and life are the most important aspects for a Jedi, a delicate thing they strive to keep within their lives in everything they do. It is why you seek peace and harmony, why emotions have the potential to disrupt the internal balance of Jedi, why you understand that ignorance must be replaced with knowledge."

She had not realized the Jedi and those aligned with them had a different name for what happened when the GA fell, but it was amusing to her. If she remembered correctly, that had been the name of the assault of the Jedi Temple by Vader's 501st. She brushed off his taunt about it though. The fall of the GA and NJO had been a masterstroke, and she was proud of it, but he was also right. It was a reputation booster, but she took far far far more pride in other things. Her research and her family.

"But like everything involved with balance, there must also be a counterweight. Every bright light casts a dark shadow. Too much of either inevitably destroys that balance."

“Alright Leon, you’re in first,”

That was all the Murderhawke needed to hear before he tore the door down in front of him and unless wave after wave of blaster fire onto the defender's of the castle. The flood gates had opened and a torrent of death was pouring out before them. It didn't take Leon very long to clear the room in front of him, in fact by the time Haro and Vallaro and entered the door, most of the enemy troops were already wiped out, only to be finished off by his compatriots upon entry.

"So, I was thinking" Leon spoke through the comms, talking as if they were just out shopping instead of the middle of combat. "After dinner we bring out the drinks and play Pazaak until we pass out" He continued, after all, it was a given for the squad that their mission would inevitably end in success even if the battle ended in a loss. He simply believed that his friends were that good and with assistance from The Murderhawke himself, Leon confidently felt they could take on the galaxy by themselves.

Leon continued to reminisce as they tore there way through the battle, shouting words of encouragement to his team and slapping them on the backs (Which took the wind out of most of them) Like a couch would at a Huttball match. The resistance did their best to slow the the squad down but with the armored giant taking the brunt of the oncoming fire, the group quickly extinguished any flames of rebellion.

Soon enough the group arrived at the top of the castle where they were greeted to a volley of fire by the rangers still stationed up there. Leon brought his Rotary cannon to bear, ready to fire back. The Mandalorian discovered as he tried to fire back that his clip was empty, leading him to toss the Rotary cannon aside and charge straight forward towards the obviously frightened ranger in front of him. With one quick motion The Murderhawke grabbed his opponents armor and spun, letting go of the man and tossing him off the building, watching him fly threw the air before eventually plummeting down to the ground below, hopeful scarying some Jedi on his way down.

"Clear, though it's only a matter of time until more arrive, I can't Imagine that they would be too pleased at the fact we've set up camp in their house"

Ura gave Caedyn a worried glance, but managed to keep anything at bay. She didn’t have a ship to protect her, but she did have the Force, and a Knight right there. She quickly followed him, leaving the Rangers to handle the civilians. Then something... someone spoke to her. Through the Force....

“Reggie?” She then focused. “Reggie! Thank the ancestors we basically have communications now! We have some Rangers keeping the area near me secure. Caedyn said the Sith are attacking the fortress.” She then looked at Caedyn, relieved.

“Well, I can talk to one person right now.”

Their deaths were inevitable. Just fodder tossed into the meat grinder - all of it only to offer Lyka a few seconds of reprise to stand and re-steady himself. The Sith took his sweet time doing so, wiping away the blood pouring from cracked lips and working that dull, aching sensation out of his head. Pain was something he was used to. Lyka could work with this, though the surprise of it all was the worst part of it.

Never had he expected to catch a sucker punch from the sky.

The Sith apprentice rose tall as the last of his legionnaires fell to the ground in crumbled heaps. He flexed his hands, Crushgaunts covering his fingers. The lightsaber at his side remained untouched as it had for years now. There was no need for it, there hardly ever was. Gauntleted hands rose before him as he lowered his body, bending his legs to settle into the perfect opening stance.

And he remained. Poised to strike as if he were a viper.

"My way is unlike the others. Come, Jedi."
