What Rolf said, and I believe you've got some friendlies on the way. You could venture out and meet them halfway and escort them. Then, once a sufficient number of PCs are gathered there we can nuke the place from orbit assign a strike team to take back our shiny statue.

I've not actually 'seen' Gabe in my post but given that he's fired a gun and could feel the lone Light Sider among the darkness, I think it's fair to say we know roughly where he is. I'll do a small edit for clarity though
