TREXTAN
Trextan felt the subtle shift in her as she leaned into him, the way her fingers anchored at his collar and then threaded into his hair. It sent a quiet thrill through him.
It settled low and warm rather than urgent. He kept the kiss slow, savouring the softness of her mouth against his, the faint taste of caf still lingering there.
Rather than stop to grab a seat of his own, those strong arms urged her to her feet with him. It was more comfortable standing facing one another anyway.
His hand at her side slid a fraction higher, thumb tracing a gentle circle over the fabric of her shirt just beneath her ribs. Simply holding her closer while the other hand cupped the back of her neck, fingers brushing the fine hairs there. He tilted his head the other way, deepening the kiss a little further, letting the heat build in steady degrees until his pulse thrummed heavily in his ears.
When he finally drew back a breath, it was only far enough to rest his forehead against hers. His eyes stayed half-closed, dark and fixed on her face.
"I wanted to do that properly," he murmured, voice low and rough at the edges. His thumb stroked along her jaw, a small, absent caress.
"Nothing rushed or in the dark or drunk. Just at our pace in the light."
He let the silence linger for a moment, breathing her in, before he brushed his lips against hers again. Lighter this time, teasing, as his hand drifted down to settle at the small of her back and pull her gently flush against him. They could feel the differences between one another and how they had changed. The parts and tools scattered across the table were forgotten entirely now. The hand at the small of her back worked down, exploring the way she had filled out, her build still lean and muscular.
Not wanting things a rushed blur in the dark, was not the same as wanting everything to be gentle. He wanted to commit every touch to memory, every broken breath from him moving hard as their exploration continued.
"Tell me if it is too much," he said quietly, though the way his body responded to her nearness made the words come out huskier than he intended. "Or if you want more."
