Intent: To created an elite prestige class dart for BH's and ATC's select customers to use in Browncoat Arms and make it customizable for contents.

  • Love Potion #9 - Much like Lix rounds, as the elixir can cause the target to become infatuated with the first creature he or she saw, regardless of species or gender.

Weaknesses:
  • Highly situational. Cannot penetrate medium grade armor and above. Cloth is fine, but bare skin is better.
  • Requires excellent aim to shoot at direct open skin contact.
  • For those who have been accustomed to Taozin nodules and that fuzzy, blurry, clouded feeling, they could detect the darts easier if fast enough.
  • For those trained in poison and toxin control through the Force, can potentially be negated by a skilled specialist at knight and above.
  • Risk of harming self if utilizing poison toxins to fill their own darts.
  • For elixir darts, effects can easily be overcome by the proper application of willpower.

Description:

It was during the take over of the Confederacy of Independant Systems dominion of Kamino and Geonosis that Danger Arceneau collected not only the clones of various Jedi and Force users, but also the schematics of Kamino tech. Further involvement and expansion in small arms along with the Czerka takeover have provided Arceneau Trade Company and its subsidiary Browncoat Arms and Industrial the venue to provide to their elite customers and sponsered Bounty Hunters a rare find -- the Kamino Kyberdart.

The Kamino saberdart had a fluid reservoir at its base, which could hold a small amount of poison or toxin. Behind the toxin reservoir, the dart contained a tiny explosive charge. When the dart hit its target, sensors in its tip detonated the charge, forcing the toxin out of the dart in a matter of milliseconds. This agent could then be injected into the subject via a sharp central tine, allowing direct access into the target's bloodstream. Common toxins deployed with these saberdarts included Malkite themfar, Fex-M3, and Sennari.

Poison darts were preferable over more direct assassination means for several reasons. First, with an appropriate toxin, the victim's death could be nearly-instantaneous, and essentially guaranteed. Secondly, the use of lethal toxins often incapacitated the target before he even realized what was happening, protecting the identity of the attacker and allowing time for escape. Because of these reasons, these exotic weapons were used by various bounty hunters and criminals across the galaxy.

Standard version is a simple tranquilizer dart, providing a small non-lethal projectile. This dart caused unconsciousness in a matter of seconds and was good for tagging Bantha for research purposes, or stopping a fleeing bounty mark in their tracks. Other versions were filled with DUST allowing a method of tracking for people who do not have access to the Force and more specifically blood trailing. While others would cause the target to feel the effects of the Elixir of Infatuation.

To kick it up another notch, Arceneau Trade Company has a contract with the Beast Hunter's Guild as she now owes 29% of the company and supplies it's hunters with gear in return for exotic beasts and a percentage of each hunts monies, allowing a steady supply of Taozin nodules at her request. Using the same type of science as that for making Taozin Skin nodules, each one of these darts have a silver of a Taozin nodule within it's contents so as to make the darts not be detected easily by a Force-sensitive, as they would blur and clouded the force senses.

However, for those rare few who had previous exposure to Taozin nodules and were able to recognize the fuzzy nature of it within those few quick seconds of it flying through the air, would make it easier to detect, leaving the element of surprise out of it.


Browncoat Arms mass produces variants of the following:
  • Ixcetel Cilona Dart - the drug was capable of producing 1-10 minutes of euphoria , producing a twisted version of reality enhanced by bright colors. With each dose, the user's life was shortened, and the successive doses took away larger chunks from a lifespan.
    If the liquid is injected via dart by a Force-Sensitive, the liquid was capable of greatly weakening a person's connection to the Force for 5 hours.
  • Contracts with Neuro-Saav have provided access to DUST, allowing a Kamino Dart in liquid form, a method of tracking for people who do not have access to the Force and more specifically blood trailing.
  • Lecepaine Dart - Lecepanine was a drug used in hunting darts as a paralytic and soporific. It created total muscle paralysis within three seconds, and unconsciousness within five seconds.
  • SmartTranq- "SmartTranq" was a type of synthetic tranquilizer. The chemical contained an active ingredient, which when introduced to a target's bloodstream, began to mutate and adapt constantly. The mutation ensured optimal effectiveness in overcoming targets' immune systems and rendering them unconscious whatever their species.
  • Love Potion # 9 - These darts were filled with a Colorless, odorless and flavorless, the Elixir maintained its potency when mixed with food or drink, making it difficult to detect. Upon downing the elixir (or anything it was mixed with), a being would become infatuated with the first creature he or she saw, regardless of species or gender. Though it could be resisted, it was even more potent when the source was of an acceptable species or gender for the drinker. The effects lasted between two to five hours, the affected regarding the source of the infatuation as a friend and confidante, even a possible love interest.
    While not allowing for direct control, someone under the influence could be manipulated by their love interest. Even so, it would prove difficult to convince the subject to do something out of their normal nature, and blatantly suicidal orders would be automatically ignored. Furthermore, overly hostile or threatening words or actions on the part of the source of the infatuation could be enough to cause the target to break through the haze of emotions in his or her mind, quite possibly leaving an extremely irate being in its wake. ( Highly situational, based on the other writer's prerogative on what is fair to roleplay.)

The poison versions of this dart are not available for mass production, and will instead require the patron to buy empty darts for them to fill at their own risk. Much like with PhramaTech, all customers who purchase the BA-K177 Kamino Dart, must sign a contract that states that ATC and its subsidiaries will not be held liable for the weapon's usage or dosage, in order to prevent conflicts with major governments.
