OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Vuhyr'yalilyr Rammikade
  • Affiliation: Strill Securities
  • Classification: Special Forces
  • Description: Vuhyr'yalilyr Rammikade generally wear dark colored armor and give an outward appearance of being ruthless, cold, efficient Mandalorian commandos. To those who have the fortune or misfortune of being connected to their comms, it is apparent that many a time the professionalism gives way to the more than occasional joke and inappropriate ill-timed comment about their current situation, objective or target. Quick, quiet and efficient is their preferred method, but the 'Night Hunters' are no strangers to going loud when the situation calls for it. The men and women who serve in Vuhyr'yalilyr Rammikade squads are some of the very best soldiers Strill Securities has to offer.
COMBAT INFORMATION:
Strengths:
  • Elite Commandos: Adding onto the training that all Mandalorians receive prior to their verd'goten is three years of some of the harshest training that any Mandalorian unit receives. They're trained to ensure that they're the best of the best, and Vuhyr'yalilyr units spend two years after that serving with a veteran unit to ensure that they're the best. There are no Vuhyr'yalilyr units that are 'green'.
  • Nigh On Superhuman: The 'Rammikad' implant that all commandos receive enhances their natural physical prowess to several times what is naturally possible, and this is only augmented by the CNT muscle fibres in their armor's undersuit.
  • Best Equipment: These commandos are equipped with the very best that Breshig War Forge has in terms of equipment. They want for nothing as far as equipment is concerned.
Weaknesses:
  • Support: While they're able to engage a variety of threats on their own, without support to deal with enemy armor, aircraft and massed infantry formations, a Vuhy'yalilyr team on their own is sure to be wiped out, even if they take much of their enemy with them.
  • On Our Own: Vuhy'yalilyr units don't often have the luxury of friendly units to support them, meaning they have to be careful about when and how they decide to engage the enemy or go about their objective. One wrong move could spell the end.
  • Supplies: Only able to use what they carry with them, Vuhy'yalilyr units don't have the luxury of wasting any of their precious supplies on a poorly thought out engagement.
  • We Happy Few: Training time and equipment expense means that there aren't very many Vuhy'yalilyr units, additionally, whenever they're deployed, they're always outnumbered by the enemy. Quantity, is a quality of its own, sometimes.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
For as long as Strill Securities had severed as the clans of Breshig's way of ensuring they a combined force to not only defend the Breshig System, but also to ensure that they bring in credits into the system by way of one of Mandalore's oldest trades, there have always been a collection of elite warriors who banded together to do what few could do as well as they did. In early days their numbers were extremely small, four squads at most, their existence was informal at best, even for a Mandalorian unit.

That all changed around 22 BBY, when the clans were approached by Mand'alor Spar, who asked them to help him bring down the Republic that had dealt them a costly blow at Galidraan over twenty years prior. With none of the clans able to come to a consensus on whether they wanted to throw their full support behind Spar or not, they did however resolve to place their Vuhyr'yalilyr rammikade units under his command. Conventionally, four squads of maybe eight operators each isn't quite what one would call overwhelming support, but let loose by Spar to pave the way for the main Protectors force.

With the disastrous defeat that brought about the end to Spar's rule, an ambush that the Vuhyr'yalilyr were not present for, they returned back to the Breshig system in shame. To the clans of the Breshig system, however, they came back as heroes. For whatever reason, it took this long for the clans to finally decide to attempt to expand the ranks of the Vuhyr'yalilyr, and in the years leading up to Fenn Shysa's becoming Mand'alor, the Vuhyr'yalilyr doubled in numbers.

Shysa tried to recruit them to help take on the Empire, but unfortunately, like many of the clans on Mandalore, the clans of Breshig didn't see it fit to earn the ire of the Empire. It was only once Boba Fett became Mand'alor that they saw service again. this time in aiding his double cross of the Vong, and along with the rest of the clans to help fight the Vong. The clans of Breshig continued to serve under Fett through the tumult that followed the war.

Where records cease to exist is immediately after the Yaga Auchs betrayal of the Mandalorians during the Battle of Botajef. Records in recent times are more vague than historical records, though they all show Vuhyr'yalilyr units involved in the struggle to maintain control of the Breshig system in the post Gulag plague mess. Most recent records show Vuhyr'yalilyr units retreating with the rest of Strill Securities from the Breshig System post the arrival of Sith forces, once the evacuation was complete.
