Danger Arceneau
Location: Expo
As the desert planet of Tatooine was mentioned, a flicker of surprise crossed Lysander’s youthful countenance. He had, by chance, guessed Wild Space-- a region both mysterious and alluring, much like the woman next to him. Yet he then turned his gaze back to her, trying to gauge her reaction, though inwardly, there was no regret; it simply felt like the right thing to say in the moment.
When she gestured for him to join her, he didn’t hesitate to fall into step beside Danger, his curiosity piqued. She was like a galaxy of her own, and he felt himself being pulled into her orbit. In a way that he was still trying to understand, he actually felt humbled by her presence. Her accent was also unusual, amusing even, but he wasn’t about to utter a single word about it.
"I was forced to serenade it with the music of my heart.” It was the best the boy could conjure on a whim. He hadn't anticipated being further questioned about it and couldn't think of much else to add, either.
The first part of the response to his question only produced images of shady deals in his mind. With the aid of a datapad, Lysander’s curiosity about the crime syndicate once even ignited the belief that Hutt Space was filled with exotic dancers from Ryloth.
Was she involved in business with their cartels?
The boy held his tongue, rather than let another flow of words spill forth. This wasn’t another random conversation amongst Padawans; he was well aware of the wisdom she possessed. Still, his thoughts ran wild, but he sorted through them quickly.
"Understanding the terrain is just as important as understanding the deal itself. Right? The Hutts seem..well, slippery.”
While feeling good about how he responded to the first lesson, he struggled to grasp the depth of the second. Lysander thought he treated people well; he even shared his favorite snacks at the Temple with others when they were hungry. He glanced sideways.
“Well, I’m good at making people laugh wherever I go,” he commented as a chuckle escaped his lips.
”Hmm.. but how do you know who to trust?”
His voice dropped to barely above a whisper, deciding to ask something more daring.
“Hey Ms. Dangeruese.. have you ever lost someone’s trust in business?”
