The Sith-Imperial Purge Commandos are starkly distinguishable from standard trooper units by their 'Tenebrae' pattern Commando armor. A highly modified set of armor meant to not only be highly resistant to energy and conventional kinetic weapons but lightsaber blades ; making it an adept vessel for their prime objective. The armor is as much vital to their identity as the skull over the crimson and red crosshairs to which the Purge Commandos use as their emblem. Their mental approach is that of frigid, surgical and methodical operations. Sparing nothing that compromises their objective ; displaying rigid adherence to their directive until the mission is complete however ; unafraid to adapt when each situation calls for it.

- Combat Function: A surgical special ops unit meant to take out high priority targets, cause devastating back line destruction and provide elite support to more standard infantry units and armored formations.
- Specially Trained and Equipped: Each Purge Commando is put through a bruising training ritual which rigidly forms each one into a highly lethal operative whilst they're provided with a wide spectrum of equipment at their disposal for every mission or opponent they might face.
- Jedi Killers: Their prime directive is the methodical slaying of force users ; be they Jedi or Sith and they are provided with ample training and equipment to carry out their tasks. The main feature which sets them apart from other specialized troopers is the 'nullifcation' procedure they recieve ; cutting them off from the force and making them force-dead to a man.
- Cog In The Machine: The Purge Commandos are only as effective as their supporting apparatus. They can't get to where they need to go which is often in areas of great danger or risk without the proper support network.
The history of this special unit is a recent one. Only tracing its origins by the demands of Irveric Tavlar to his Chiss Ascendent subordinate ; Lord Colonel Wirm'nael'armiir to take charge in creating a commando unit capable of providing an equalizing force between the Sith-Imperial armed forces and their saber fielding force imbued opponents. After several field tests harsh training the Purge Commandos were finalized if only have an enigmatic procedure which resulted in the force nullification of each trooper. Making them undetectable by the force and thus innately enhancing their effectiveness against their prime opponent.
