- Versatile - Although primarily intended as a stealth armor, the Glitter Ghost can also hold its own in many forms of combat at close and medium ranges, due to its extreme resistance towards most conventional ranged weapon threats, especially energy weapons, slugthrowers, and even disruptors.
- Silent Sniper - Constructed with a full suite of stealth systems capable of concealing the wearer and her equipment, the Glitter Ghost is built with an eye towards clandestine operations. When combined with the tiny physical profile of the armor’s intended user and her well-honed skills as a sniper, the Glitter Ghost becomes a nigh-undetectable platform and a potential force multiplier.
- Field Disruption System - The armor’s field disruptor allows the wearer to potentially bypass energy shields, via a projected field of disruptive energy. As such, the wearer can reliably infiltrate secure or fortified areas, thereby creating opportunities for operations behind enemy lines. The field disruptor can also be harnessed as a defensive tool, in order to transmit an electrical discharge to hostile agents who touch the armor.
- Sonic Weaponry - Equipped with a sound dampening overlay and sonic nullifiers, the Glitter Ghost provides the wearer with a very high degree of protection against sonic attacks, which while somewhat rare, are nonetheless lethal in the right circumstances.
- Strength Augmentation - The Glitter Ghost provides Ivixa with a considerable physical enhancement due to the energized and reactive polymers utilized in its construction, similar to the polymers utilized in Crushgaunts. This allows her to carry heavy weapons, ammunition, and other equipment with significantly more ease, while granting her the ability to challenge and overcome physically stronger opponents in hand-to-hand combat. It also lends her a substantial boost to mobility, athleticism, and running speed. Like virtually all systems in the armor, the reactive and energized polymers are linked directly to Ivixa’s neural interface to ensure maximum fluidity.
- Clouds of Deceit - The Taozin skin integrated into the construction of the Glitter Ghost has the capability to blur or cloud the senses of a Force wielder to varying degrees, potentially hindering the effectiveness of battle precognition, danger sense, and/or similar abilities against the wearer.
- Weaponized Radiation - While the Glitter Ghost is capable of protecting its wearer from background radiation in the environment, it does a poor job in protecting its wearer from weaponized radiation, due to it being far more concentrated than radiation in an environment or a vacuum.
- Bone Chill - The Glitter Ghost’s performance in defending Ivixa from weaponized cold leaves much to be desired. While its protection is better than nothing, the wearer is better off depending on an external system to defend against this class of weapon. However, the armor’s protection is sufficient to protect the wearer from arctic environments the likes of Hoth and Ilum, owing to the fact that the cold in these biomes is significantly less concentrated than that of the conditions generated by CryoBan or similar cryonic weaponry.
- Mechanical Mutation - Given the degree of advanced technology and automation implemented into the armor, the Glitter Ghost is quite vulnerable to malicious influence from a skilled practitioner of Mechu-deru, provided that they have a clear line of sight to the suit.
- Tensor - While optimized to mitigate damage from most forms of energy-based assaults, tensor weapons are indeed the exception. In firing compressed tractor beam waves, they can bypass most of the armor’s defenses and affect the wearer’s body at a cellular level, with the potential to cause death.
- Repulsorlift Limitations - Unlike a jetpack, the Glitter Ghost’s propulsion system does not function in zero-G as under those conditions, there is no mass or gravity to push against.
- Surface Damage - While the Glitter Ghost’s equipped Dream Sight possesses an extremely advanced surface-integrated passive reception array, any direct damage to the surface of the armor may diminish the effectiveness of the system due to the destruction of a number of passive micro-sensors. This also makes the Glitter Ghost somewhat maintenance-intensive, since after an engagement, especially one in which the armor sustains even a single direct hit, it must undergo concentrated repairs in order to restore the acuity of the passive reception array.
The second generation of the model Ivixa received upon being initiated into the Wild Hunt, the Phase II “Glitter Ghost” Sniper Armor represents an advancement from its predecessor. After a career where she saw action during the Agent Wars on Rodia, Sweven to defend the planet against a Ssi-ruuk incursion, the Scintilla to fight a rising tide of gangs, and yet more deployments across the Unknown Territories, Ivixa was recruited into Blackwatch, utilizing her skills as a sniper-assassin in service to the Eternal Empire. Quickly establishing herself as one of the agency’s premier snipers, Ivixa was promoted to the rank of Special Agent before long, continuing to build her reputation as a highly-effective asset.
However, with her original armor quickly becoming outdated, Ivixa commissioned a replacement suit, equipped with many new utility technologies and stealth systems recently designed by First United Astral Engineering. Featuring an upgraded repulsor pack, integrated bio-support, enhanced stealth systems, infiltration systems, and a veritable horde of sensors, the armor is designed for an elite operative whose work is very often of the violent, wet nature.
Ultimately, Ivixa hopes that the suit will prove as resilient as her last, which saw her pull her family out of the slums and into relative wealth, owing not only to her skills as a sniper, but also due to the reliability of her armor.
