DESCRIPTION
The NZ MSCS-TIC was the first of the newer space stations built by the galaxy-wide operating juggernaut that was the N&Z Umbrella Corporation. The idea of this station and the role it would fill was conceived as part of the operational structure which Karl Von Strauss Karl Von Strauss had tried to implement during his tenure as grand moff within the Empire of the Lost. However, before any proper plans could be drawn up by the EnSol and later the Starworks divisions, the Empire of the Lost collapsed and subsequently the designs and scale models began to gather dust in the company's vaults, until eventually in a search for expanding the company's presence on the ever-more saturated market of military hardware, the N&Z restarted to program for economically viable, efficient and effective orbital command centers for any faction who wished to have a streamlined, but also decentralized command structure, allowing greater oversight of regions within their control without having to spend fortunes in moving large amounts of assets from one controlled sector to the other constantly.

To have smaller sector fleets combined with a strong regional presence and command center to coordinate all assets present within the region without too much interference and waiting times from the higher command structures, these space stations would perfectly fit this strategy and doctrine, allowing for a strong regional presence without the cost usually accompanying the need for maintaining order and peace over larger territories.

Equipped with enough firepower to stand up against warships of star destroyer and perhaps even the lower battlecruiser classifications, with the ability to escape through hyperspace should the need arise to do so, coupled to a very impressive defense and a very large contingent of support craft and starfighter squadrons, the NZ MSCS-TIC or Grandeur-Class platform would see widespread use within the Imperial Confederation, boosting their grip over their territories and providing a greater efficiency to the naval and military assets of the ever expanding galactic power.
