TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS

STRENGTHS
  • Ramming capabilities: With the prow of the ship reinforced and shaped in such a way that it can handle ramming maneuvres, this ship is capable of breaking enemy lines in the most brutal way possible, utilizing weight, speed and structural strength to its advantage.
  • Perfect Allrounder: Boasting not a single bad part on this ship, with great offense and even greater defense, with adequate speed, maneuvrability and hangar space, this ship has not a single glaring weakness.
  • Highly Automated: Thanks to the high level of automization of this vessel's systems, the minimum crew necessary to functionally operate this vessel is much lower than that of comparable ships with a much lower level of automization.
WEAKNESSES
  • Highly automated: As much of a boon the high automation of the ship is in general, this also has its obvious and quite important downsides. Mainly that should there be something wrong with the AI, such as its systems being fried or it being forced to reboot in case of direct EMP on its core, the requirement for optimal crew numbers may in reality not be enough considering a whole heap of otherwise automated fuctions must now be manually operated, which may stretch the previously optimal crew thin or even to inoperable reach.
  • Low maneuvrability: The heavy weight, wide turning circle and perhaps somewhat overstated power figures for the engines installed in this ship, have made it much less of a nimble fighter and more of a lumbering giant.
  • Undefended hangars: With the side gates raised, the ship's hangars form a structural weakness, while still very tough and strong due to the build quality, there is no denying that when the plating of the gates is opened up, the ship's midsection is slightly more vulnerable.
DESCRIPTION

Having retracted the sale of the Keres-class Star destroyers from the Sith Order, it was rather surprising for the N&Z to end up with orders from the Sith State in the Thandon Cluster, where a request would be made for a stable and sturdy star destroyer capable of acting as a ship of the line for the Holy worlds' fleets. This order thus came at a rather opportune moment, as the already built and stored Keres-class star destroyers could be shipped to Bescane, where the new facilities of the N&Z would refurbish and update the older ships to newer specifications, utilizing what the company had learned from their work on the Dictator III class battlecruisers in order to fully update and upgrade the old ships.

With the old Keres Class ships having been a financial disaster, the company thought to somewhat honor or at the very least fawn the leader of the Holy worlds by naming these refurbished and fully updated star destroyers the Caedes-Class. Updates included a better modular superstructure, a higher caliber of weaponry and the latest state of the art shield system package to further prove the superiority of the company's ships in its class. It was also given the powerful HKAC canons which are the only ones capable of utilizing the WARP STAR ordinance, granting this vessel a much more terrifying term of armament in comparison to its predecessor.

While it is consequently slower than the Keres, the Caedes-class does have the ramming capacity usually found on the Hammer and Sunderer class vessels of the company, further reinforcing the outer shell to show off the company's excellent engineering. The ships are expected to have a dual role as both ship of the line and command ships within the sector, thus several ammenities and systems have been improved and uprated in order to conform to the standards within these specified classes of ships.
