Leshanna Dromar

A'Mia's Favorite Pet Student

Leshanna scowled when she heard the loud buzz of Haro Aven Haro Aven 's device nearby - a sound and flash of light that drew her boyfriend away from her briefly as he looked to see who would be disturbing them. The young woman shifted from her lounged position to sit up on one side, pushing dark strands of hair from her face and tucking them behind her ears as she watched Haro to see what he would do with the distraction.

She had hoped he would put it aside and return to cuddling with her - but that hope was soon dashed.

Haro’s typically flirty and playful mood shifted into one of slight confusion, then wariness. Though he tried to act fairly normal and unbothered, Lesh could tell that whatever message he had received had somewhat disturbed him. She sat up a little more as her boyfriend casually mentioned that Lysander von Ascania Lysander von Ascania had sent him a “weird” message - that Naami had been “snatched” by Mandos…and that Varin Mortifer Varin Mortifer was down??

Another frown creased her brow as Haro murmured that he wasn’t sure if Lys was messing with them or not - but something within the pit of her stomach told her this wasn’t a joke. Haro gave her a sobered expression, one she mirrored. All the cozy warmth and joy that she had been sharing with him for the last little while suddenly vanished as what felt like an ice shard stabbed through her chest.

She reached out with the Force, or tried to, to see if she could pick up or sense Naamino Zuukamano Naamino Zuukamano 's familiar presence.

What she felt made her feel colder still. A faint ripple like the Force had been disturbed came to her senses: the echoes of screams, of blaster fire…and she couldn’t feel Naami anywhere nearby.

Moving quickly, she threw off the blankets that had been draped over her and immediately snatched up her clothes. She didn’t speak a word, but her haste would get the message across to Haro. Within moments, she was ready to head out the door, her jaw set as a hard expression was now plastered over her face. Usually soft and bright sapphire blue eyes were now hard as stone.

Get his location and let him know we will meet up with him. I want to hear from his own mouth what happened.” She said, her voice sharp and direct as she headed for the door, expecting Haro to be right there with her. “And if Lys is messing with us, then I am going to kill him.she growled low in her throat.

Quietly, though, Lesh was hoping he was playing a prank - a stupid one - but a prank nonetheless. She didn’t know what she would do if she found out that it was all true, and that Naami had been taken from her, from them all. The very idea, the thought of it, filled her with ice cold dread.

Saram's Equipment

Unfortunately for the young zabrak, this part of the bay was meant to be kept empty so that the vehicle bay to the aft of the ramp could have unimpeded access. That, of course was sealed behind a blast door. Which was to his favor, really, that meant the vehicle bay's automated turrets couldn't detect, engage and track him. Fore of the ramp was the rest of the cargo bay and where the bulk of containers were, which would have provided excellent cover, not because Saram's weapons couldn't penetrate them, but because she wasn't going to destroy their own cargo. That would come out of her paycheck, and she wasn't getting paid for this one. Sadly, that was not where the Dar'jetii'ika's problems ended.

Saram's augmented reflexes were fast, almost as if not faster than a Dar'jetii'ika's when they had access to the force, let alone when they were denied it's use. Her finger squeezed the trigger four times, four guided rounds crossed the space in almost complete silence before she managed to fire the stun dart from her gauntlet mounted dart caster. She tilted her pistol away from the plasma caster mounted on her right and fired a cone of superheated plasma to his right in an attempt to discourage him from trying to make this any more difficult on himself. He had until the rest of this magazine before she decided that there were less-than-lethal locations to pull a round in.

The outlines of the rest of Davaab squad were now visible, which meant that they were now on this level. It wouldn't be long now. Ran and the others would know that she had Stun rounds loaded thanks to their synced 'Manda' modules, but just in case, she let them know, "Stun rounds only. Zandra needs him alive," she said, adding the detail to remind them that it wasn't a mission critical requirement that they take the Zabreak Dar'jetii'ika alive. She quickly opened a channel to Zandra, "Vod'ika I'm getting a little tired of your guest and his burc'ya, any chance you want to get aboard? No rush."

Spar saw the one Dar'jetii'ika leave the area on some kind of two-wheeled vehicle. Seemed on odd choice to him, but at least he was being smart. "Follow your friend's example! We only want the Zabrak. The rest of you usen'ye," announced Spar over the ship's external address system. Would they listen? Who the shab knew. Did he think they would listen? Abso-shabla-lutely not. Just when he thought this was all going so routinely. Oh well, this was par for the shabla course with Saram Kote and Davaab squad, nothing was ever easy with them. Then again, probably wouldn't be paid so shabla much if it was.

As the beskar blade stabbed deep into Varin's hand, Zandra saw the red splatter on her black visor. It was horrifyingly sobering, to know she'd just stabbed a man barely old enough to be considered such. While she had done far worse to others, this guy was still just a few years her junior. Something about it was just wrong to her...

There was no time to dwell on it though, no time to make sure he was alright, something had grabbed his unconscious form. Slick black tendrils, as if night itself was coming to save Varin's life. Another red blade, probably another Acolyte. Under her helmet she scowled, cursing up a storm in her mind. There just was no end of them was there?!

"Kriff me," Zandra shouted, before making a mad sprint towards the ship. "Just how many of you pricks are going to show up today?! I must have really kicked over the hive!"

As she bolted towards the Corvette, she loosed a volley of blaster bolts in Trayze's direction. Maybe they'd hit, maybe they wouldn't, but that wasn't the point. Rather, the young Mandalorian was hoping to stave off the older Sith's advance. Keeping him at arm's length as she ran for the ship's ramp

This had all gotten very out of hand. She expected a fight, maybe even one that would endanger her life. This though, it was getting insane! As she reached the ramp, she wrapped her fingers around the nearest handhold, looking back at the wrecked market square and all the damage they'd cause. Chit, this was going to ruffle some feathers for sure...

"Saram! We gotta kriffin' dust off ASAP, before more uglies with lightsabers drown us!"

In truth she was in no position to command Saram, but hopefully the older woman wouldn't c-... Just a chittin' second!

"The hell is going on here?! I thought we had the big bastard handled," Zandra shouted, trying to be heard over the sounds of crumbling buildings and engines starting up.

Naami's world, already turned upside-down in the span of a few critical moments, was suddenly alight with sharp pain, even more anger, then… nothingness.

His athleticism had perhaps saved him from any egregious wounds, aside from that to his pride, but the confined quarters and his lack of access to the Force ultimately stacked the fight too far from his favor.

The stun round that hit his square in the chest dropped him without further opportunity for him to rage against its effects.

Naamino Zuukamano crumpled where he'd been crouched defensively, pelko blade clattering from his grasp and horned head thunking against the cold floor.

Saram's Equipment

Naamino Zuukamano Naamino Zuukamano fell in slow motion for Saram, enhanced reflexes rendering his fall into a macabre slow motion parody of what was actually happening. "He was," she said, the sound of boots on deck plating punctuating her statement. "I mean, he is now," she quickly corrected. "Spar," she said, keying the channel to the bridge without shutting off her helmet's speakers, "get us the haran out of here!" Exasperation with the events on the Dar'jetii yaim'me'suum lacing her words.

The ramp began closing, the typical hiss of hydraulics all but absent as it shut and sealed in place, shutting out the destruction they'd left in their wake. They had left almost nothing behind or in the wake of their arrival that proved who they were, but there was only one company that had produced a ship like theirs; Strill's parent company. Then again, was she overestimating the dar'jetii's investigative ability? Who the shab knew, only time would tell.

Saram's beskar'gam had picked up on Zandra Ruus Zandra Ruus 's injuries the moment she'd stepped into sensor range, but Saram hadn't really noticed the sensor readout in the corner of her HUD till now. "Me'vaar ti gar, vod'ika?" Saram could see that she was, and that it was not critical, but if it was making her uncomfortable then a trip to the ship's medbay was in order sooner rather than later.

The remaining seven members of Davaab joined them in the cargo bay, silently, their outlines alone highlighting their arrival till their camouflage suites deactivated and she could see them. Ran stepped forward and held out a 'Mircit' Restraint Harness to Zandra. "He's your bounty, you should do the honors," said Ran. The rest of Davaab kept their weapons trained on the downed Zabrak in case he suddenly snapped back into consciousness.

Spar didn't need to be told twice. "Music to my ears, vod," he breathed in response. "Helm, you heard the al'verde." Spar watched as his helmsman angled the ship upward on maneuvering thrusters before it gently, and then not so gently began screaming for the stars propelled by its powerful six main drives. The force, if not for the inertial dampeners, would have landed them all on their shebs. Spar manually activated the controls for the ship's active camouflage systems from the captain's station. The ship's icon on the 'Manda' battlenet generated tactical display shifted to reflect this. It would seem for the moment, that they were free and clear.
