Public The Wild Hunt – the Spring of Chaos

s6Sk6O.png

Eve, the capital of the Scintilla, a giant space construct located in the Unknown Regions that served as the home base for the Agents of Chaos, had always held its doors open to any who would visit it. The city, built inside a spherical space station, looked and felt as real as standing on any planet. It had been the one thing the leader of Chaos had demanded, and without it, would not have permitted for so many funds to be poured into its construction.

Though it had not officially existed for too long, already millions of people inhabited it, filling up houses, offices, and entertainment properties. Creating the visage of a paradise had been easy; new buildings, large budgets, and aesthetically pleasing designs both in the areas with buildings and in the parts that were made of fields and forests and lakes, had done its job.

But not all were happy with its existence.

Unknowingly to the Agents of Chaos, enemies had been coming into Eve. Taking cue from what some of the Agents themselves had done in the past, the enemies had not come all at once, instead options to come in groups of one to a few, over the course of many weeks. Some brought their own weapons, whereas others made local purchases, thinking to use the Agents' weapons against the Agents themselves.

And one evening, as the sun in Eve began to set, and its skies were painted pinks and purples, their enemies decided to strike. Numbering in the hundreds, they launched what could become a massacre if not stopped on time, aiming weapons both hot and cold at the civilians, their centers, and their children.

Much, much sooner than any of the Agents of Chaos had anticipated – their capital city was under attack.

s6S29x.png
You are of the Wild Hunt. You are a combatant of the Agents of Chaos. This is what you have been training for, and many of you have been preparing for this before you even knew what Agents of Chaos were. Grab your weapons and head to the streets. Kill our enemies. Let the streets of Eve run with the blood of those who would harm it.

This objective is also open to anyone else who wishes to fight.

s6SeBN.png
You came here for a visit. You've heard about the beauty of Eve, or perhaps you were just interested in the Agents of Chaos since they'd been advertising all over the Holonetwork. You certainly were not expecting this. What do you do?

If you require any assistance with getting around Eve, the locations, and more, you can come to our Discord server and ask AoC Staff.

s6S0nQ.png
You know what a BYOO is. Perhaps you are one of the Agents of Chaos but not of the hunt. Perhaps you would rather sit in one of the cafes of Eve and make remarks on the happening. Either way, this is where you do anything that isn't taking care of it, or being a tourist.

She was not one of the Hunters. Though she was among the Firsts of the Agents of Chaos, she had never once taken any official position. Not with the Hunters, not with the Speakers, not with the Silencers, Coins, or the Blackguard. She'd simply never been certain where to go; Scherezade, for some reason, felt as though she belonged everywhere and nowhere at once. Except the Speakers. Woe be those who thought to send her as a Speaker, anywhere.

Her day, for the most part, was supposed to open; she had been on her way to the Garden of Death to discuss something with one of the lead researchers in the laboratory they had set up there. But then it had begun. The strange feeling she'd had in her gut had not been the weird sausages and mead some of them had last night at that new place that opened up in the Entertainment district after all. But by now, it was too late.

All the alarms in her communication devices sounded off. So far, no one had sounded the city's alarms. The citizens of Eve were still walking freely as though nothing touched them, which meant it had to have started in another part of the city. Where would she go?

Sighing, Scherezade touched a button on her wrist device to open the city's holomap. Technically, this one included a few details that were not meant for the public eye, but this situation required it, and- there!

Grabbing a nearby speeder that did most certainly not belong to her, Scherezade hit the gas and began a mad drive towards the Tower – where the massacre was beginning.

Once again, Aaran's sneaking suspicion that the Force enjoyed putting him in these situations was affirmed. This was honestly supposed to be a relaxing trip. No bandits or dangerous bounties to hunt. No criminals to chase. No innocents to rescue. He had planned on coming here. To this station that had been advertised up and down the Holonet for some simple 'Me' time. Eat some interesting food, meet interesting people. Perhaps even purchase a Hologame console for those long trips through Hyperspace while on the Freebird. There was only so much meditation and exercise one could perform on a ship before cabin fever started to set in. He needed some other form of stimulation aside from mulling over the secrets of the Universe.

But sadly, that was not to be. As he wandered his way around the central tower. Stomach just starting to grumble, did the chaos start. Armoured men and women appearing from nowhere. Blasters firing into the crowd as a surgical strike commenced. And of course, the Padawan found himself caught up in the middle of things. There was little time to contemplate as to who might be behind the strike. The Sith? Their First Order lackeys? A completely unrelated organisation simply out to attack what seemed like a lucrative target? None of it mattered to the Padawan.

All that mattered was that innocents were in danger. And he was in a position to render aid.

And the best way he could do so would be to draw the attacker's attention to himself. Making himself the bigger threat so others could flee to safety. "So much for a peaceful vacation." He said, a small smile appearing on his lips as the mental shift began. His normally passive and peaceful mindset changing into something more aggressive. More eager to act in defense of those who could not fight for themselves.

Dashing forward with saber ignited. Aaran exploded into the first kata of Vaapad. The punishing, aggressive style. Showy and effective enough to draw many of the invader's attention as the Padawan's blade began to sheer through one of them. "Let's see how you deal with someone who can fight back!" He called, an open challenge to those who would prey on the defenceless.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course for all his bravado, and noteworthy skill for a Padawan, Aaran was not skilled enough to hold off an entire invasion force all on his lonesome. As Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter rounded the corner on her 'involuntarily volunteered' speeder. She would see the Padawan pinned down behind a pillar. Several of the armoured attackers littering the plaza. Many of them having been forcefully returned to the Force by the Padawan's blade.

But it seems as though through superior tactics and training. They had the young man pinned down. The constant stream of blaster fire slowly chipping away at the pillar the Padawan was crounched behind as he attempted to focus and decide his next move before his cover was rendered useless.

"Isn't it beautiful, Bud? Gardens are the only thing that make me take a step back. Make me realize that maybe everything will be okay." said the masked man to his companion as he knelt down and picked up a bright yellow Coma-Bloom flower. There wasn't much reasoning behind why the man tolerated plants and other things in that category instead of humans. Plants were innocent, no matter how poisonous or dangerous they might be. Having only taken a few steps into the garden, the air traffic and commotion of the Tower and center of the artificial planet could be heard in the background.

But then, something disturbed the bustling and busy air around him. It was no longer time to take a break and observe the dangerous garden. It was time to cleanse. Someone had attacked and it was obvious due to the piercing sound of light, medium, and heavy blaster fire. Screams followed and the man could hear every single one of them. There was suffering, but not the type of suffering he liked. No cleansing or keeping anyone safe from the apocalypse. Just killing to kill. It was 'wrong' so to speak.

Almost immediately after hearing the chaos, the masked man and his canine companion jumped up and darted towards the Tower, being sure to avoid each toxic species of plant in the ground or hanging above. The lenses in the man's protective mask glowed with the fire of blaster bolts flying back and forth. Soon enough, he was shot at himself. It was the final straw.

He snapped.

Going into a psychotic rage, the man electrocuted the nearest enemy with his Amban rifle before he noticed someone pinned down. He didn't care who it was, just wanted to see how many of the attackers he could destroy himself.

"One!" he said as the attacker's corpse fell to the ground.

Then, he turned and fired wildly at the group of armored individuals supressing Aaran Tafo Aaran Tafo and hit about two of them, their bodies disintegrating in second, only scorched clothes left behind.

"Two!"

"Three!"

As he hit a few of the men, he was shot at himself. His only plan was to run to cover like the maniac he was.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH." he shouted, his companion running behind them and barking crazily.

Oh-no, oh-no, oh-no! This wasn't good. Eve... it was under attack! And of course EW couldn't find her Mandalorian friends. What was she going to do? Who could she even help? What if she got thrown in a closet again!? No no no! She didn't want that. With that, she quickly darted off, trying to find anyone who could help. The C-1 droid had no weapons. She didn't even have manipulators! She was a floating ball with an optic, not a battle droid. She needed help, and she needed it now. The little droid quickly darted through the door before seeing some attacker.

"Uh-oh."

"Stop that droid!" EW quickly darted off again, running away from the attackers before hiding behind a sign. She looked around, waiting for the attackers to pass. Once they did, she floated back out, seeing no one again.

"Phew..."

The alarms drew Myrium from his studies deep within the Sanctum of Shadows, a largely isolated and separate section of Eve. Earlier that day, Myrium had received a new shipment of texts from one of the Blackguards contacts in the Unknown Regions. Books describing an ancient force cult on a planet that had long since been destroyed, its star having burned away any trace of who might have once lived there. Only a single underground vault had been discovered, protected from the raging inferno of the star. Myrium had only just figured out the ancient language and begun translating it when the alarms began to sound within the Sanctum.

Grimacing, Myrium quickly, but carefully, stored the books inside his personal library, already containing at this point thousands of other books. He then turned and sprinted from his quarters, grabbing the lightsaber he had been toying with for the past few days. It was not his personal weapon, but his blade was still being repaired in the Dark Forge. For now, this would have to do. Stepping out of his quarters, Myrium had to take a step backward as two Blackguard Shadows rushed past, purple lightsabers already drawn and ignited as they rushed to secure the Sanctum. A majority of the Blackguard, what few of them there, to begin with, were currently spread out across the galaxy on various tasks. Those few that remained would have to make do.

Myrium briefly left orders for a majority of the members to remain behind and protect the entrance to the Vale, the larger location where the Sanctum was located within. Alone, Myrium set off for Eve, using one of the speeders reserved for the Blackguard. He had received word of an attack originating near the Tower and had kicked the speeder to full speed in that direction. He had barely made it a few hundred meters when two more speeders appeared behind Myrium, these ones piloted by the people currently attacking Eve. It would seem whoever these people were, they were not content to simply remain at the Tower. Blaster bolts began to stream past Myrium as he attempted to evade them, though that lasted only a few seconds before three quick shots hit the speeder's engine.

Frowning, Myrium rose to his feet, taking a deep breath. As a fourth and fifth shot struck the speeder and it began to lose altitude, he jumped. As the speeder plunged towards the ground below, Myrium flipped through the air, coming down on the back of one of the two pursuing speeders. His shirt caught in the rushing air formed around the speeder as he crawled forward, igniting the purple lightsaber in his hand. The two attackers barely had any time to react before the blade cut them down. Myrium quickly pushed them from the speeder using the force, though he grabbed one of their blasters before the bodies were gone. Deactivating the lightsaber, Myrium turned and leveled the blaster at the other speeder, firing four quick shots. The first two shots shattered the glass at the front of the speeder, sending glass shards rushing back into the exposed faces of the attackers. Blinded, the two of them did not see the third and fourth shot strike the speeder's engine, tearing through it and sending it and its occupants plummeting down to the ground.

Sighing, Myrium tossed the blaster into the seat next to him. Hitting the accelerator, Myrium continued on his path towards the Tower.

"I just wanted to read today..."

Goal: Personal Objective
Location: External Spaceport 40km from Eve

Dyre and a small group of his men sat in the communal room of a light cargo ship which they had taken during one of their raids. He had come to Scintilla to sell some of their captured goods and the trip had proven to be worth it. Life was good, or at least reasonably so, and all were enjoying a warm meal and watching a game of huttball.

During a commercial he flipped through the various channels, stumbling across a local news station reporting that some terrorists were attacking Eve, the stations capital. They were docked roughly 40km from Scintilla itself in an external port putting a nice spread between them and the trouble.

"We gonna do anything Sir" one of the men asked turning to him and laughing along with the other men, clearly realizing it was a joke. He promptly changed back to the Interplanetary Sports Network.

Dyre finished his meal, but was left unsatisfied. After considering the prospect of remaining hungry as opposed to the inconvenience of getting up and getting food, Dyre eventually decided to deal with the later. "I'm going to get another sandwich" he groaned as he pulled himself from his seat. "I'll be back shortly."

Dyre exited the ship, walking down the ramp and meandered his way to a convenience store at the space port that had a sandwich shop inside and upon retrieving both it and a bag of Jawa Puffs, he left making his way back to their ship.

The entire port area was quieter than usual. No doubt, he thought, due to the ongoing troubles people were keeping their heads down and staying where they were. When they had gotten their lunch earlier the convenience store had been backed, but now, it had just him and the droid attendants.

He took a detour on his walk back to look around the spaceport. He slowly meandered through the massive docking area and he could see more than one hundred craft, most of them being commercial cargo. He delayed going back to the ship to get a better look at the area.

Emblems for distributors of office supply, medical supplies, droid production among dozens of others appeared on the sides of the craft. Growing tired of his 'inspection' Dyre began to walk back towards his ship. He took the final bite of his sandwich, rolling the paper it had been wrapped in and tossing it to the floor.

As he returned though, he spotted something which caught his eye. Two large cargo ships bearing a logo reading 'Correlian Bulk Grocers'. He looked over the enormous ships. "If these things are full it could feed us for months" he said under his breath.

Real food had been a luxury for them since they had awoken and the prospect of so much food as well as the value of the ships was definitely tempting. As he meandered back to his ship, he began to concoct a plan...

She'd known it would a long day the moment she'd entered the office. The Scintill databases were under an attack that at a first glance resembled the infamous DDOS attacks that were frequent around the galaxy every year around Life Day, but the second Adora had set herself down and began the mad typing, she realized that these were nothing but a distraction, an attempt at being a thorn to their ribs. There were deeper things happening there, and the people who worked under her… She did not know if they had what it took to protect the systems. She did not want to find out whether not the answer to that, was a hard no.

The entire day had been nothing but one headache after another as Adora fought the digital intruders, first alone and then slowly, bit by bit, found little parts that she could delegate. But this did not lessen the load; somehow, it managed to increase it instead.

But of course, that was yesterday.

Today, was when she finally got to step out of the office. The entire time she had been working, not once had anyone turned the news on, not once had anyone tried to get any gossip from the outside world. The Scintilla all depended on them, they knew. A successful attack could not only wreak havoc on their space station, it could massacre millions that would shortly turn into billions of lives. The Agents of Chaos might have been considered rash, terrorists, people who held nor regard for the lives of innocents, and Adora knew firsthand how true that was, yet she could not help but feel a certain sense of pride knowing that she was part of it, making a small difference, protecting a fraction of those who deserved to be protected.

The last rays of sunshine were beaming down on the street, and Adora leaned against the bulding's wall for a moment, soaking them in. The back of her mind knew this was all AI and design. They were not on a warm and sunny planet, but inside a gigantic space station. And still, all her senses told her that this was real. And right now, tired and hungry for a junk food meal with extra-large everything as she was, she didn't care.

Only when her dark eyes opened did she notice that something wasn't quite right. Mostly, that the streets around her were empty. That wasn't… It was rush hour. Things hadn't been that empty since the early days, when the place was only starting to fill up with non-combatants.

Blinking, Adora began to walk, almost missing the sight of a certain droid ( EW-031 EW-031 ) coming out from behind a sign.

"Hey," she greeted the droid. She was used to droids. She was slicer, for Force out loud. "Status report. What's going on?"

She'd been standing in front of the labyrinth for quite some time before the mess had begun. Alwine Lechner, Head of the Speakers, and recently returned from a little adventure of her own where she found Katerina Vaden and her ward, and she knew another Lupine, Anse Baenshaol Anse Baenshaol , had been found as well during her absence from the Scintilla. It had been strange. After the happenings with other Lupines that she had found or met in the Southern Systems, Alwine had believed herself to have lost all hope when it came to finding more, but more than that, had lost all hope that there even would be any hope if ever she did find them.

And now… Things were different.

Upon her return she had learned of the new group that had risen during her long absence, a group that prioritized getting information by any means necessary. And while hope seemed to be a new and strange spark in the young Lupine's life, she did not believe that these Blackguards would know anything about the Lupine history or what might have happened there for things to be as they were in the present. But she also knew that she would never forgive herself if she did not at least try. And so, she had left what she thought was the relative safety of the City Center, and headed for the Vale of Knowledge.

The labrynth was overkill, but she could appreciate its symbolism.

Still, when you were a Lupine and could shift from human to wolf and back, there were certain benefits you received in that package. Among them, was the meta-human hearing that Alwine had been blessed and cursed with, that had saved her as many times as they had incapacitated her. But now, she heard the group approach, and she fucked behind a bush, brown eyes narrowing as she understood that these were not her for a friendly visit.

Groaning, once it was safe again, she climbed aboard her speeder again (not the Unicorn Speeder. Alwine was too damn short to use those. Not that she would. They were childish) just in time to see a single man, either human or close enough to it, leave the grounds. A group, Alwine knew she would not likely win and maintain a good shape for. But one? One, she could handle with ease.

Setting to follow him, she was caught by surprised as the fight broke out. She had misjudged who he was. Not one of the attackers, but one of the defenders. One of the.

Only when she got closer, did she connect his face to the holos she had seen earlier. But just as quickly, he was gone, and Alwine groaned, kicking her speeder into going faster so that she would catch up with him before they reached Eve's City Center.

It was surprisingly simple to find Scherezade deWinter, if you knew what you were looking for. She cut a distinctive path across the stars. She had very singular interests. Her methods were easy to take as utter insanity. Any of those would be pretty easy avenues to track the errant Sithling across the galaxy, given time, finesse, and motivation. More relevant to Razelle than any of that, though, Scherezade's ship still had the tracking beacon she'd hidden on it.

When Raz got back from her most recent "sabbatical," if she could even call it that with a straight face, she noticed a couple of important things. Firstly, Scherezade wasn't where she'd left her. Secondly, she hadn't been there for months. This, naturally, caught the chronic deserter's attention. Razelle had already scrubbed the Rime's transponders and hyperspace log, so showing up to some big floaty ball in the middle of nowhere with no past and no name might have been pretty suspicious. Fortunately, given the almost perfect absence of docking security, it seemed that no one cared much for one unmarked ship touching down in the middle of... what looked to be a riot.

As Raz stepped out of her ship to a single security guard stammering at her to present her identification, the smell of burning infrastructure, and the sound of an angry mob, she held one finger up and walked right back up her ship's boarding ramp. Inside, she grabbed one of her blaster-resistant jackets and zipped it up tight, then came back down in the process of strapping her VT-Bolt to one thigh. Open carry. The city was clearly dangerous enough she'd need proper protection.

The officer was still standing there, holding a pistol in two shaking hands. Stuttered something about remaining indoors until the situation blah blah. Raz held up one hand as she approached. "Hey. Couple of things." Her fingers tapped the side of the blaster, right next to one of the dials. "First, I could hear this thing humming from the ramp. Means you've got the Tibanna density set too high. Explains why you didn't want to shoot, might kill someone. But if you fire it like that, there's a pretty good chance it'll go off like a det charge and take most of your hand with it."

She held up a second finger, then pointed towards the exit. "Second, if you're a peacekeeper, you should focus on holding down the areas that are still under control. Get in contact with your CO, ask where there are civilians in need of protection. Don't try to be the last line of defense out here, alone and outnumbered. Easy way to get yourself killed."

As he was looking away, Raz stepped back and tensed one arm. "And third?" Without making a sound or taking a second to hesitate, she grabbed the man by the shoulder, then shifted her weight forward. Pulling up her knee in a brutal shot to his stomach, the trained K'tara fighter drove the air from his lungs. She followed with an elbow strike to his throat, then used her grip on his shoulder and upper arm to hip-throw him to the ground. "Take the day off. You don't wanna get shot out there." On his back and four kinds of messed up, he'd be safer here than he would dying to terrorists.

Leaving the poor green rent-a-cop on the ground, Raz reached into her jacket for a stimstick, lighting up as she walked out of the spaceport and into Eve proper. The entire place was, quite ironically, in a state of chaos due to imminent and violent insurgency. The blonde took a drag and looked out into the gorgeous, currently smoking city. "Now just where did you get off to, kiddo?"

Information continued to flow into her earpiece as she drove, making the speeder move as quickly as she could. It wasn't anything like her two other speeders, who'd been designed for maximum speed and little else, and the relative slowness was frustrating. The few streets that marked the distance from the garden to the tower flew by her despite this, and when she brought the vehicle to a stop, it was just in time to see Aaran Tafo Aaran Tafo and Al'Taylor Quarnz Al'Taylor Quarnz in front of the Tower itself.

This, confused her. Aaran Tafo Aaran Tafo clearly felt like a Jedi, and in all their months on the Scintilla, she had only glimpsed a Jedi on the space construct once, when he had come by her sister's invitation. This was not he. Jedi generally didn't come to a place that was known to be brimming with Sith unless they wanted to kill something. Or someone. Was that it? Had the Silvers or any other Lightsided pocket group decided to prioritize attacking the Agents?

And then there was the shooter.

"Identify yourself!" Scherezade demanded as she removed both of her Dissuader Pistols from her side and aimed them, one at the Jedi, and the other at the other man.

The attackers of Eve, upon noticing her, had already begun to scramble away to more lucrative parts of the city. And somewhere in the back of her mind, Scherezade felt the arrival of her godmother, Razelle Breuner Razelle Breuner . Why she had come today of all days, the Sithling didn't know, but torn between the need to run and hug her and the need to kill all those who would endanger this place, were both strong.

EW-031

Well, this is quite exciting!
Adora Belle Adora Belle + Open

EW looked around, seeing no one there until hearing a voice. She turned to find a woman, and tilted her body.

"Oh! Hello. My name is EW-031." She was oddly cheery, making it more clear that something was wrong with her mentally. How could anyone be so cheery when Eve was being attacked. She looked at her new found ally, she hoped, quickly answering her. "The situation is a bad one. Eve is under attack by... someone. They even tried to reduce me to spare parts!" The little droid shuttered, looking around before finally speaking again.

"I don't know what to do. I can't even open the doors around here. Gah! Why can't they just let me access to the stupid doors!?"

Hands in the pockets of her jacket, Razelle wandered outside into the shiny, currently ransacked space-city that was Eve. Frankly, the whole place was far too polished for her tastes, but that wasn't anything new. The First Order, CIS, and GA all had shiny, glitzy places of power, too. Raz was far more comfortable with grime, rubble, and the smell of regret. She'd have to look for what this polished rock had to offer her later, though. First, she needed to find Scherezade and figure out which side of this little conflict she needed to be on.

While there was chaos everywhere, from random lootings to arson to law enforcement shootouts, it seemed like the action was moving up towards some kind of large, visually impressive tower. The streets were an utter mess, but thankfully the fact that everyone was moving in herds meant that a single foot mobile wasn't of much interest to most bigger groups. Raz could likely have walked from the spaceport to the base of what was probably the capital building without being harassed by anything she couldn't handle. Unfortunately that would take time, and the one thing she didn't have now was time. Her errant womanchild was in this mess somewhere, and Razelle wouldn't be able to rest easy until she could lay eyes on her.

As she walked along the shadow of one big municipal building towards a foot traffic intersection, the sound of blasters to her left made Raz take a quick detour towards one wall. She peeked around a corner as she approached, her body mostly hidden in the foliage of some kind of cultured plant. Maybe a hundred meters up the street, law enforcement on one side, hiding behind barricades as a ragtag group of what seemed to be just... random people fired at them from behind speeders and overturned benches. No identifying markings. No common denominators of note; different species, varied phenotypes, too distant to determine age. Local insurgency?

Raz waited until an explosion went off, then pulled her blasterproof jacket over her head and just walked across the street. She didn't want to risk catching a stray bolt to the skull, even if it wasn't likely. When she was safe at the base of the buildings on the other side of the street, the blonde took a look around and tapped her stimstick to knock loose the ash. She could probably walk to the tower, but she really shouldn't. It'd take to long, and she didn't want to push her luck in not getting taken out by thrill-killers or random thugs.

She had to admit, this city looked way better when it was full of smoking craters and covered in scorch marks. It'd look even better in a few days, if the defenders couldn't nip this nonsense in the bud. The artificial lights would go out, and the whole place would really pop in a nice shade of dramatic noire.

On her right, Raz noticed a speeder that had neither been hotwired nor vandalized yet. It wasn't shiny or impressive, which was likely why. Economy model. She dropped her spent stim to the sidewalk and wandered over, pulling a slicing multitool out of her inner jacket pocket. Prying open the door control panel, she tugged a couple of wires, tapped a third, and then pulled the door open. Another minute or so of work on the control panel inside and the engine hummed to life. She let it whine for a few seconds as she checked the local radio for any political rhetoric or terrorist manifesto being broadcast.

Then, onto the the tower.

As soon as Al'Taylor Quarnz Al'Taylor Quarnz joined into the fray. It was enough of a distraction for Aaran to leap out of his cover and rejoin the melee. His constant aggressive assault coupled with the sudden intrusion of a newcomer with such a deadly weapon was enough to break the offensive and send the terrorists on the defensive.

He grinned a wolfish smile as he felt the battle shift. Ready to launch himself further in the maelstrom of battle. Before a flash of empathetic pain burned through his mind. Battle lust broken, he whipped his head around to see his new ally get hit. In that moment, Aaran cursed himself. Mindset shifting from warrior back to guardian. So drunk he was on the thrill of battle, he had not taken the time to cover his saviour. And now the person who he probably owed his life to suffered for it.

Forcing the self-flagellation down. Aaran's footwork changed. The fluid motions of vaapad flowed back into the tight, controlled movements of Soresu as Aaran moved to back up his saviour. Protecting their flank from assault. Intent on holding the line there until the newcomer could rejoin the fray with his devestating weapon. Making sure to keep his body low so his protective wall of swordplay could also cover the small canine that was currently yapping its' tiny head off.

It was then that Scherezade deWinter Scherezade deWinter decided to make her grand appearance. And upon her arrival, Aaran could see why the interlopers decided to bid a hasty retreat.

The Padawan had considered himself to be fairly strong in the Force for his age. His teachers had commented that his skills with a saber were exceptional. He now noted with some amusement that the universe had a way of making him humble again. Not necessarily a bad thing. Especially when it only showed that he had so much to learn.

Because even a cursory probing with the Force could inform him that he was not looking back at an attractive woman his own age.

He was staring down a wolf. And he was naught but a rabbit in front of it.

A primal, savage thing that would no doubt rip his throat out here and now if it aided her. Chaotic, passionate. But not entirely cruel.

Even from here he could feel her attachment to this place. A sense of pride, protectiveness. Base human things. Nothing like the mad savagery that the Padawan was used to sensing in those drawn to the Dark side. Slowly, he let his saber drop from the guarded position he held it in. Flicking it off and calling the silver blade back into the hilt.

Slowly, he placed it back inside his jacket, holding both hands up in a show of non-aggression. "Aaran Tafo." He said, tone shifting back into something more light and conversational now that the immediate danger had passed. "Came for a vacation. Was not expecting it to be this exciting." He continued, elaborating on why exactly he was here currently.

His gaze then shifted over towards Al'Taylor. "Dont suppose you have a Stim or something for my friend here? He got winged on the shoulder.."

Location: Landing Bay, 40km from Eve

"Sweet gods" Dyre said as he entered the ship, his shock caused by the corpses of two men in security uniforms who laying in the cargo hold. "I am going to guess they didn't get here on their own."

"Pansies came aboard with blasters tried to hold us up like we were some kind of passerby on a street corner." One of then men said looking down at the corpses.

"And?" Dyre asked looking down at the bodies which had been bent backward to a horrible angle, clearly far past the limits of their spine. "You decided to break their spines? Weren't there other... simpler options?" He inquired looking at the broken men on the floor.

"Yeah, but we were watching some 'Extreme Brawling' show while you were gone. We wanted to check whether it was real or not... turns out it is fake, the human spine definitely can't take that kind of pressure... sir" The trooper responded with a laugh.

Dyre couldn't really he mad, his men had taken out two armed men with their bare hands. This was an impressive accomplish. "Get your gear on boys" Dyre said shaking his head.

"Do we have to go join the fighting sir?" one replied

"Not at all, we are going to tell the port security hey have some bastards wearing their uniforms attacking people in the landing bay." Dyre said with a grim ton. "These people are good for business and I would prefer not to completely devastate our good relationship. That means we need to go see bureaucrats." He shuddered at the final word.

"Yes sir" the men replied before rushing off to get their gear on. Sealing the hatch, Dyre then went to do the same.

A few minutes later the hatch opened once more and he along with the seven men who had come along with him, exited the craft, fully armored and with rifles in hand, making their way to the security office.

There was a Port Security station not far from the combination refueling station and convenience store which he had just visited. As they passed he made a mental note to swing by again for beer when they had things sorted out with security as huttball was always better with some light inebriation.

Arriving after a few minutes more at the security office he opened the door though the picture inside was not what he had expected. An elderly woman lay hunched over a desk in a pool of her own blood. A security officer lay on the ground, the charing of blaster fire visible on his abdomen. Down the hall another, likely dead security officer lay with a bloody wound to their chest.

As he surveyed the room he shook his head speaking the first words that came to his mind. "Son. Of. A......"

Almost as quickly as they came, the attackers scattered into what seemed like thin air. After destroying a few with his old Amban rifle, the masked man was out of breath. Soon, he was met with the force that had caused the attackers to scurry off into the crevices of the city, most likely only to regroup for another attack from the shadows like the cowards they were. No one knew who was behind the attack yet, but it seemed the Agents of Chaos had their wires crossed with who was attacking and who was here to help. The masked man lowered his rifle and sighed, his canine companion wagging his tail and looking around to warn of any other enemies.

Then, the silence broke.

"Identify yourself!" said the woman, holding a pistol aimed at the Jedi and one at himself.

Slowly, Al'Taylor began to laugh under his protective mask, raising his hands in the air as if trying to 'defuse' the situation the best way a deranged man could do.

"I.. I'm uh.... Al'Taylor! That's the word... yeah. Al'Taylor Quarnz. Recently joined the Agents of Chaos here. I was uh.. in the little garden thing when everything started to pop off. I saw this uh.. this guy here pinned down so I decided to help.. got rid of a few but they fired back pretty fast. That's when you showed up. Haha." he said, most likely awkwardly digging himself a hole that would be difficult to get out of. He wasn't the best when facing confrontation.

"Oh! This is my dog. His name is Bud. He is a dog." he said as he reached down to pet his canine companion.

Then, the man he was trying to help spoke up. Asking for stims.

"Uh... what's a 'stim'? I've never heard of that before." he said, obviously having never been in any form of an organized military.

Myrium was not having a good time. Shortly after his first encounter with the first of the attackers, Myrium had encountered a second, larger group. His speeder had been shot out of the sky by heavy weaponry, and he had only just managed to jump from it before it collided in a fireball with the pavement. His lightsaber had ignited a moment later, slicing through the air and redirecting the shots that came his way as he sprinted for cover. Deactivating the blade as he crouched next to a shop, Myrium took a second to draw the blaster he had taken earlier, dipping around the side of the building to fire off a quick trio of shots.

He had a few theories on who these attackers were, though he had little time so far to really form any coherent thoughts. Did they belong to the Jedi? It was not their style in general to stage an attack like this, but he would not put it past them if the need arose. Maybe a Sith move, though Myrium did not think that the Sith would have taken interest in them yet from all the way across the galaxy. In the end, there were too many options to consider at the moment, and as more blaster bolts began to pelt the shop Myrium was using for cover, he decided to focus on it later.

Taking a deep breath, Myrium activated the purple blade in his hand and emerged from cover, the blaster raised in his left hand. Marching forward, Myrium deflected or sidestepped the volley of blaster fire coming his way. Each bolt that struck his lightsaber, however, Myrium turned and faced its origin, firing a return shot from his own blaster. Darting from cover to cover, Myrium slowly began to push towards his attacker's positions, dropping a few of them in each run with his deflection and return fire.

He needed to get through them quickly and get to the Tower.
